The guide was well informed about the history and brought humor into the tour. We would definitely recommend him to friends.

It was a day to remember, we all really enjoyed it loved every bit of it. Guide (Niki) was really nice, she was explaining all the history and information in very polite and understandings way and gives everyone their own time aswell. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family.
We had a wonderful experience on this tour! Everything was very well organised, and we were fully satisfied with the experience. Our tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable, friendly and engaging, and explained everything in a clear and interesting way. We really enjoyed learning about the history of the Acropolis and the Parthenon. It was a great experience from beginning to end, and we would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens!
The tour was fantastic. Learned a lot about the different temples and the surrounding area. Elektra was a great tour guide and was very friendly. She provided us with all different views from the Acropolis and also explained the No Day Holiday to us while the ceremony was taking place.
It was one of the things people must do when visiting Athens! Its the right of passage and it might be too much to look at the height but it’s worth it especially if you have a great tour guide named Victor!
Inspiring experience. The Greeks are great people with profound imagination. We were helped by a young lady, Electra, who was enthusiastic about her country. Salute to her and the Greeks. A great nation with an immense culture and imaginative power.
The main fantastic part is Tina (I hope that is her name). She gave great information and insights while navigating the crowds with ease. She showed us detail in the reliefs above the columns I had not noticed. Big kudos to Tina!!!
Stevi was wonderful and made our tour of the ruins and the museum very nice and easy to understand and to keep up with everyone! Made our first honeymoon event start off great.
I chose the walking experience. I was admittedly nervous looking at the heights but this tour was perfect. Margarita did a great job telling Greek mythology stories, giving unique history facts while Ensign we made the trek at a leisurely pace. She pointed out great details. Anticipated questions and made everyone feel entertained.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and talented at presenting a historical perspective in a fascinating way.
Extraordinary tour of a magical site. Our guide gave thoughtful and detailed explanations of what we were seeing, and was easy to follow and understand. A very enjoyable experience.
It was perfect. the tour guide was awesome and very informative. She gave brakes and was never in a rush.
Highly recommend booking a tour with Athens Walking Tours. There was so much history, and we didn't want to miss out on anything. Prior to the tour, we went to the Acropolis Museum on our own to get an overview and had lunch at the museum cafe (plenty of outdoor seating) with Acropolis views. We had the best guide, Magda, who was friendly, fun, super knowledgable and also an archeologist! Our late afternoon tour time (4:30 pm) was a perfect choice with plenty of time after the tour for photos. The Parthenon looked absolutely stunning during golden hour. We were part of the last wave of visitors to leave at closing.
Nice Tour , started on Time , Our tour guide Sam was knowledgeable about the site ! Weather also helped on the day.
Was so glad to get an early tour of the Acropolis Hill booked. Our guide was awesome! Super knowledgeable and really looked after our group in the busy spots! Highly recommended tour and a must do when you are in Athens!
Great to see and had an education into the whole construction and use of the site over the long spance of it's existence.
Eva was an absolutely fantastic tour guide! Very enthusiastic and informative. She was honestly one of the best tour guides I have ever had.
Nicoletta was a wonderful guide. Think her teaching experience definitely helped 🙂. Even when asked about any item in the museum she had knowledge and an answer. There was a bit of climbing/steps to the top but she stopped to point out diff sights along the way which made the climb easier.
Our guide was great! He was very knowledgeable about the Acropolis and found our group shade whenever he could which was very much appreciated! It gets HOT when you’re up at the top so bring water!
Kali was very informative and patient with the large group on a very hot day.
instead of issuing a simple bar code that could be scanned at the entry, the paid ticket required you to go somewhere else to get the required ticket. This was unlike the other event that I booked with Viator. This caused a lot of confusion which not only not allowed me and our friends to attend at our required time but also delayed our entry which then caused us to miss altogether the next already booked event.
Had a problem finding the meeting point but sorted.eventually, good guide and very knowledgable Thanks
It was a great tour.. absolutely unmissable. We were a mixed group of 2 teens and 4 48+ not very fit adults. Had read about the climb being quite hard so was a bit apprehensive. But our walk was evenly paced with lots of pauses so didn't have any issue in climbing upto Parthenon. Also, Victor is a very engaging guide.. made the tour interesting and informative for all of us.
A guided tour is a must! Especially if you're not very well informed or knowledgeable with Greek history/mythology. It makes the visit to the Acropolis so much more interesting. Our tour guide was so nice and pleasant. We are really enjoyed her and the tour.
This was a very in depth look into the history of the ruins in Athens. Our tour guide was truly so knowledgeable and casually funny. The pace was great for me and my wife being in our 20s, but we did see some older individuals seeming to have some more trouble keeping up occasionally. Would highly recommend!
Great experience seeing all the Greek historical relics. Tour guide was very knowledgeable but at times had trouble hearing her.
Walked right through the line, which was definitely worth it! Our guide was knowledgeable and tot us a lot witch you would not get it you just bought a ticket in!
Very easy check in and nice pace of walking. Tour guide friendly and informative. Busy with tours but still easy to follow
Our tour guy was extremely boring no fun no smile Can’t really explain but we had used Viator many many times and she was really the worst tour guy I don’t remember her name so sorry I can’t recommend her
We enjoyed our tour of the Acropolis. Our guide was very informative and made sure we were able to see all the highlights. We booked this for an early morning tour before getting on our cruise ship that afternoon.
Super busy first up - no room to get out of the way of the thousands of tourists trying to pass- also if you are a little slow you loose contact-
Hermes was incredible. Very knowledgeable and shared many stories and also added some humor to keep things going. Great tour of acropolis area and then museum. It was nice we ended at museum so you could stay and see things not highlighted on the tour. Also, unlike other tours I’ve done you get you’re physical ticket so you are able to access sites like the excavation museum as well
Our guide Magda was amazing. She took the time to tell us stories which explained the history of Acropolis and the Parthenon so that we could understand what it is we were looking at. The site is incredible and the views from the top were breath taking. She also managed to stay away from the crowds and maneuvered her way to the best viewing areas. Thank you so much .. you were amazing.
Wow!!! It was awesome!! Went in the evening which made it more enjoyable!! Our tour guide was awesome. Can’t remember her name (something like Magdeline, and she was an archaeologist) she was incredible!!
Very organized . Professional and excellent tour guide Ozzy . Really enjoyed the experience ! Ephesus is a must see .
The Acropolis is very very crowded, so many tour groups and that was at 8:30 in the morning. Area is beautiful.
Great tour with knowledgeable guide. Be prepared for lots of slippery steps and rocks and crowded conditions.
Deppy was super outgoing and very knowledgeable. She did a great job of explaining the history of the Acropolis area on the way up.
Amazing experience with many, many, fellow tourists. Bring water, a hat and/or parasol, and good walking shoes. I was pleasantly surprised how much better it was having a guide and advanced tickets. Deppy was fabulous. Hands down the friendliest and warmest tour guide on my vacation.
I continue to have the same complaint about your tours - mainly the FACT that your operators and guides don't have the right equipment to properly handle the task. The task is to inform the people in the group about what they are seeing or going to see. However, those in the tour group can't hear the guide. In this case we were given earphones and a transmitter to wear around our collar. That worked well for the first 5-10 minutes but the tour guide didn't seem to be aware that if the microphone he was wearing wasn't close to his mouth, we couldn't hear him. Even though I made him aware of that on several occasions, he still couldnt get it right and we all knew it was useless to continue trying to teach him to do this. And besides, it's your job to provide properly trained people, not mine. However I paid full price for a job that was inferior. The trip was wonderful and the history was rich but it coukld have been better with a properly trained guide.
Viktor, our guide, was awesome. He was funny and great at storytelling which made the history more interesting. A great guy to be around! 👍🏻
Great experience to fully appreciate the history, well organised tour as opposed to doing on your own
Interesting tour, well organized, very good guide Tina. We had a small Group ( only 11 people ) which was a plus.
It’s not as hard as it looks to go up to the Acropolis. Our guide kept a gentle pace and lots of stops for informative history tips and stories . Even our group member with a cane was able to manage just fine.
Excellent and our Guide was awesome. Very informative, she gave great instructions. Nicely done. Thank you.
Well paced tour. Our tour guide, Constatina, was informative, knowledgeable and provided adequate time for photos. I would recommend this tour for anybody looking to get an insight of history.
Our guide, Christine, was very knowledgeable and you could just see and hear her excitement about telling us everything. Highly recommend over just walking around the acropolis and not knowing what anything is..
A comprehensive and interesting tour of a major world historic site. Highly recommended.
Margarita was the best tour guide! Informational and kind. We learned so much. If you go in the middle of the day, be sure to bring water. It gets hot!
We found the tour to be comprehensive and informative, better than if we had visited the Acropolis on our own. We were fortunate to have Annie as our tour guide. She was exceptionally knowledgeable and made the information interesting. Moreover, she remembered the name of each person in the group so that it gave the tour a personal feel. She represented Viator very well!
