Athens - Private Half Day Tour

George was great. It was a rainy day but he was able to show us everything we wanted to see and some more. He was very informative.

We all enjoyed our tour very much. Comfortable vehicle and on time. We learned alot about the history of Athens and much more. Excellent tour guide and driver.

Mary answered all my questions quickly, via email, prior to booking. George was a fabulous driver: very knowledgeable, polite and respectful. He guided us all through Athens. Communication with George was easy via WhatsApp. Easy drop off and pick up at various locations.

The van was excellent, and the driver was very good. The guide was very professional, well-versed in the history and the museum, and very friendly. We were very happy with the service.

Nikos (Yomadic Tours) is an exceptional guide, and our Athens tour with him was incredible! His English is great, and he made sure our transportation between the chaotic city sites was completely seamless and stress-free. Beyond the history, he gave us fantastic recommendations for local restaurants that we loved. Nikos has a wonderful sense of humor that kept everyone engaged—our entire family, including our teenage son, had a fantastic time. We were so happy to have him as our guide again!

George met us on time, was excellent with our 10 year old son. He was full of great knowledge, ideas and communicated well with us throughout the tour. He also made sure we knew where and when to meet him, sent us regular WhatsApp notes, dropped pins for locations and made sure he was always doing as we wished. We loved the little side stops he suggested and we had a really great time. We would book again!

JG Athens Tour company emailed us prior to our trip giving us instructions for our Acropolis tickets as well as providing directions about how to connect with our driver at the cruise port. Our driver was very punctual and my husband and I had a wonderful tour. Our driver was also sure to stop at various locations to snap a picture of us where there were beautiful views. It was a great way to see the sights.

Our driver was friendly, knowledgeable, on time and made nothing un achievable in the half day we had. An absolute pleasure to explore Athens with.

Excellent experience with George as our guide & driver! He provided insights and knowledge of all aspects of life and history for Athens and Greece. Viator via JG Athens Tours provided opportunities for input and questions, but especially quick responses to questions on ticketing for Acropolis as well as arranging for our guided tour of the Acropolis… which was very worth while. Finally, George asked periodically if we had questions or anything we’d like to see or needed additional explanation.

This is well worth doing - what a brilliant tour! We enjoyed learning about the key sites, culture and historical information. George gave us a in depth overview of what to see and where to go without which we would have not had the confidence to explore ourselves during the rest of our stay. John was very reactive to our questions prior to the trip - would highly recommend.

Petros was PHENOMENAL! He was a fantastic guide, always answering questions and making sure that we were in the best locations and arrived as soon as we were done with each He gave us cold waters whenever we needed them, opened car doors for me ( amazing) and made pur tour perfect by adding extra touches lije seeing the changing of the guard. His car was clean and comfortable and I would recommend Petros and this tour to anyone!

This was a great tour and our driver was incredible. He shared his vast knowledge of the city with us, adjusted the itinerary to fit our needs, and made the day very special. We only had a half day to see some highlights of Athens. Our driver George did not disappoint, we enjoyed his suggestions on what to visit. His knowledge of the city and historical input were great. We wished we had more time!

Andreas, our driver, was excellent! He arrived at the port early and held a sign with our name so we easily knew exactly where to go after getting off the ship. He was the utmost professional, pleasantly friendly and gave the perfect blend of history and trivia that kept us educated, informed and entertained. Andreas continuously offered endless bottles of cold water which was very kind and much appreciated since the weather in Athens was warming up. The Sprinter was clean, the AC kept us cool in between stops and it even had free wifi! We first drove to the Acropolis and Andreas made sure to let us know we had ample time to explore the magnificent historical site. When we were ready to go, he was only a phone call away and never kept us waiting to be picked up for the next destination. Afterward, we visited the Acropolis Museum and then Andreas drove us to Mt. Lycabettus where we were enthralled with spectacular panoramic views of Athens. The kids were hungry by that point, so we asked for his recommendation for a restaurant and O Thanasis in Plaka was the perfect lunch destination. The souvlakis and tomato salad were divine! And yes, they serve Greek salad lol. The kiddos were able to order their french fries as well. Time flew by so quickly that we realized we only had a short time to souvenir shop after lunch. But at the designated pickup time and place we asked Andreas if there was a store along the way where we could purchase a specific gift and he said no problem and found a couple of markets where we could quickly go in, make our purchases all while he waited outside with the Sprinter. That was above and beyond top notch customer service! While we didn't get to see as many sights as other travelers may have wanted (only because we were traveling with young children), this tour was perfect for our family since it was flexible and Andreas was more than accomodating. Se epharisto, Andreas, for helping our family make glorious memories to last a lifetime!

The tour was excellent. Our driver George was a knowledge bank when it came to Greece and Ancient Greek mythology. He was very accommodating. The car was very comfortable and well kept. All in all everything was perfect.

Our driver George was amazing! Very friendly and informative. We would have never be able to see all we saw without his knowledge.

We did three trips with George (excuse the spelling if it's wrong). The first was from the airport to our hotel, the second was from the hotel to the cruise port and the third was from the cruise port to posiden's temple.He was an extremely pleasant and knowledgeable man and his driving was excellent plus told a few jokes which I'd never heard before. I would highly recommend this company and in particular George our driver.

This was our first day in Greece and we were amazed at all we got to see! George the driver was absolutely fabulous. So informative and accommodating. My son is a photographer and he was able to get some wonderful pictures thanks to George and his knowledge of the city.

We loved our trip with Andres! He recommended the best souvlaki place and was prompt with pickup and drop-offs and always clear with directions. He gave us some tips, information along the tour, and took us to so many beautiful spots. He had waters for us and the van was roomy and had great AC.

The whole trip was memorable. Polite and friendly tour guide, and everything about the day was amazing. We were collected from our hotel and taken to all the major attractions in Athens before being taken back to our hotel. An outstanding tour.

Even though our tour was only 1/2 day, Theodore did a fantastic job showing us all of Athens prominent attractions. His timing was impeccable, getting us to spots before big crowds arrived. The Acropolis was amazing and he made sure we saw the changing of the guard up close. Our only complaint is that we weren’t able to book a longer tour. Theodore was full of knowledge.

In only a few hours we saw Athens with our knowledgeable guide, Nick. He was very pleasant and knew all about the history of the sights we visited. In his beautiful Mercedes we were driven around the city and got a look at not only the historical sights but a flavor of life in Athens. Thank you Nick!

Great tour of Athens, saw all the highlights in one afternoon. Our guide was even super helpful with the mobility issues one member of our group had.

Our tour of Athens was excellent and largely due to Gearge, our guide. He was knowledgeable, personable and very accommodating. He knew so much history of Athens which made it so much more enjoyable.
