My wife and I highly recommend this tour. Yannis was extremely personable, providing interesting commentary on the way to Corinth. His knowledge and passion detailing Corinth’s rich history, including the Canal and the acropolis, made our day. John was very flexible during to provide sufficient rest stops, and some special sites based on his experience with the area. He found for us some delicious and entertaining restaurants, too. The Corinth, the Temple of Apollo and the Blue Lagoon tour was a highlight of our trip to Greece.

This was one of our favorite tours during our whole two week trip to Greece! Tas was amazing. He picked us up from our hotel and was sharing information about both modern and ancient Greece the entire time. We had plenty of time at each location, and Tas even offered to take pictures of us to send to us later with notes about where the picture was and why it was important. The food at the restaurant was absolutely amazing! We didn't feel rushed at all and came away from the day with a better understanding of the area!
Peter was an excellent driver and guide. He showed us all the wonderful sites and gave us great historical information. He cared about us as clients and made sure we were so well taken care of. We had the best day exploring Corinth with Peter!
This was an Amazing day walking the footsteps of the Apostle Paul! Our guide and driver Peter was the best. He was so knowledgable about Corinth and the History and he had the Best attitude and personality to match! Thanks Pete for making the day super special!
Yannis is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Took us to interesting sights which he explained the history behind it. Strongly recommend Yannis as guide.
Peter was an excellent guide. He had an extensive knowledge of Greek history. He is a local to the area of Corinth so he was able to speak to the culture and lifestyle of the locals. He treated us to coffees and cookies to make our ride more enjoyable. The views were all spectacular and this was a truly memorable experience.
This was our second private tour with Ancient Greece Tours & Transfers this month and again it was a fantastic day out. Peter arrived on time, kept us informed and entertained the whole day. His knowledge of the history and areas we visited was second to none. The history was fascinating for all the areas we visited, the museum and archaeological sites were amazing, and the views were awesome. The late lunch spot was a treat, overlooking Ancient Corinth archaeological site, and the food was great. Again we would highly recommend Ancient Greece Tours and Transfers for any tours you might consider doing in and around Athens. Special shout out to Tas and Peter, our new Greek/Australian friends... and top tour guides.
Highly recommend this company – and especially our guide, Tas! We booked a one-day private tour to Poros somewhat last minute, and admittedly didn’t read the advertisement thoroughly. The booking app wasn’t very clear about the pricing being in US dollars, so at first, we were a bit apprehensive about our decision. That all changed the moment we received a call from Tas. He personally reached out to confirm the booking and, more importantly, asked what we were hoping to experience that day. After listening to our preferences, he suggested an alternative itinerary – and we’re so glad he did. Instead of Poros, Tas curated a custom full-day tour to Corinth, and it was absolutely fantastic. Our day included highlights such as the breathtaking Isthmus Corinth Canal, the Acropolis of Corinth, the Temple of Apollo, and the ancient ruins of Corinth. In the afternoon, we had a few peaceful hours to relax and swim at the stunning Heraion Lagoon – an unforgettable experience. Tas also recommended a local taverna for lunch, which was spot-on: delicious food, beautiful views, and very reasonably priced. Throughout the day, Tas shared fascinating insights into the region’s history, geography, and culture. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and attentive to our needs, making the whole experience feel personal and enriching. It was worth every cent. We left the day feeling so happy and grateful. If you’re considering a private tour, we can’t recommend this company – and especially Tas – highly enough. He truly tailored the day to us and made it unforgettable
Me and my friends booked two days specifically with Taz. He took us to Corinth and Delphi. It was like traveling with a knowledgeable friend. The explanations and information he gave us made the trip incredible. Each day he had ensured we would eat at the best place and that we old have the best view. He knew everyone everywhere we went and ensure we felt like friends when we walked in. Five stars isn’t enough.
My husband and I took this day tour of ancient Corinth with Tas, who was a wonderful tour guide! He drove us in a comfortable, air conditioned SUV and offered us cold water. He accommodated our schedule and was very considerate, taking lots of photos of us at many landmarks. He included a delicious lunch at a lovely restaurant. It was a wonderful private tour and we highly recommend booking any tour with Tas! I am recommending his tours to family and friends.
Corinth day trip from Athens was amazing! We were picked up at hotel in Athens and Tas, our guide, did a wonderful overview of Greek History as we rode the hour or so to Corinth. The canal, rounding areas and Corinth itself was fascinating capped off by a wonderful meal just adjacent to the historical city. So glad we booked thru Viator but then our subsequent tours and transfers from airport and to our cruise ship we booked directly. Communications was five star and all the events themselves exceeded expectations!
First time in Greece and my friend and I booked a trip to Delphi. Tas was our driver and tour guide. Amazing experience. We decided to book Corinth with him for our last day. Two of the best tours. Amazing experience and he made us feel like family.
This is our second trip with Tess. We enjoyed the first one so much. We booked the second one with him. We didn’t really have a plan of what we wanted to see so we left it all in his hands and he delivered. It was an amazing day in Corinth and Loutraki. The old Corinth, acropolis and archaeological site were just breathtaking. Then to top it off with the delicious meal overlooking the archaeological site was cherry on the cake. Thank you to Tas for making us feel like family, comfortable, safe and lots of good laughs and treats. Thanks for another amazing day!
In one day, we experienced breathtaking views of the mountains and seas, hiking among ancient ruins and a swim in the most perfect cove. Our guide, Peter, was friendly and we enjoyed spending the day with him. On the way to Corinth, we were captivated by Peter’s recounting of the life of St. Paul, and the significance of the pebble road that eventually became the canal. After getting the chance to stand on that pebble road, we continued to Acrocorinth, which should be on any visitor’s to-do list. The hike up the mountain was a little challenging because of the slippery rocks, but the view from the top was well worth the effort. Afterward, in the museum, we marveled at the skill of the ancient artists who created the pottery, statues and mosaics. As we strolled through the archeological site, we were shocked at how few people were there. It’s a shame that more travelers don’t take the opportunity to experience ancient Corinth. Peter then directed us to a shaded balcony table overlooking the ruins and mountains for a delicious lunch of fresh, traditional Greek cuisine. It was just what we needed to energize us for the final destination, Hera’s temple and the Bay of Corinth. Not only was the water clear and refreshing, but the experience of swimming at the base of an archaeological site was truly unique. We highly recommend both Peter and this tour. It was a highlight of our time in Greece, and we are thankful for the memories we made!
Yannis was an excellent tour guide that gave us an excellent history. The trip was thorough, yet still very relational.
We embarked on a full-day tour led by Tas, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. Our journey took us to several remarkable destinations, including Ancient Corinth, the historic canal, the awe-inspiring Acropolis of Corinth (the panoramic view from the summit alone justified the ascent), the enchanting Blue Lake, and the majestic Temple of Hera. Tas proved to be an exceptionally knowledgeable guide and a genuinely delightful person to be around. Throughout our excursion, we were chauffeured in a spacious Mercedes that provided utmost comfort. Tas also ensured we had access to water and biscuits, a spare battery pack to keep our phones charged for capturing stunning photos, and recommendations for excellent lunch and coffee spots. Our day with Tas exceeded all expectations, and the level of service provided was nothing short of extraordinary. If TripAdvisor offered a six-star rating, Tas would undoubtedly deserve it!
This tour was great! Peter was an excellent guide and made the day a 10 out 10! excellent experience!
This was an amazing highlight of our trip. We didn’t know what to expect and Yannis, our guide, was fabulous. He contacted me in advance to connect about pickup. And throughout the day, we provided such interesting info in an engaging way. We learned about the canal and he made the story of it come to life. Our teen even enjoyed it! We climbed up to Acrocorinth and saw amazing views. He gave us lots of info on each place so we felt like we learned a lot about Greek history and culture. We enjoyed our lunch by the sea and museum and site of the ancient Corinth. Forest fires had broken out on the other side of Corinth, which closed the road for several hours. Rather than sit on the highway, yannis took us to the Temple of Hera and let us swim for almost 2 hours. It put us getting back very late, but the alternative was sitting on the highway for hours while they battled the fire. He kept calm and kept teaching us, and I never worried. We are so grateful to him for this unforgettable day.
This is a glorified taxi. In Greece you can be a taxi driver or a tour guide but not both. The driver takes you to the locations and gives you general information but you are on your own once you get there. At least in a bus tour you have the bus driver AND a tour guide to explain what you are looking at.
Learning such extensive history of the sites, why certain events were interconnected, and stories of how the city of Corinth changed and grew.
He is knowledgeable for history, friendly and brought us for authentic greek food with Apollo’s Temple in the background.
Our driver Tess was a fountain of information, very friendly and went out of his way to make sure we had an enjoyable day - it was great
I had a wonderful day visiting so many beautiful sights that were very close to Athens. I recommend this tour, a must, especially if you have several days in Athens and you want to see the beauty and history of Ancient Greece in a day - not just the Acropolis in Athens. Tas was fantastic and accommodating host, so much knowledge about everything!! He really cared about the experience I was having and maximized the day with as many stops and sights we could fit in. I’m so happy I took this opportunity. Also, thank you for the delicious cookies!!
First of all Taz was amazing, super knowledgeable and attentive. I feel his tour was extremely personal; we felt apart of the experience instead of tourists. The canal was breathtaking, watching the sunset from the lighthouse above the Temple of Hera was unbelievable. We were able to walk some of the path of Paul and dip our toes into the water at the harbor. The acropolis of Corinth was enormous and fun to hike or just walk around taking in the village and church. Taz was able to convey the rich history of each area we visited without feeling like a history lesson. We all came away from the trip with a greater love and respect for Greece and its people. Taz you're the best, see you next trip!!
Our guide, Tas, was incredibly knowledgeable; in fact, he has a degree in Anciebt History. He was full of knowledge and answered all our questions. On top of all that, he was fun and knew the best places to eat!
My wife and I very much enjoyed our trip with Tas. He was knowledgeable, charismatic, and an overall great guy. There was lots of timing flexibility built in, which we really appreciated — you can move at your own pace and prioritize what you want to prioritize. Lots of nice little touches as well, such as a box of cookies upon pick-up in the morning, and what seemed like unlimited water bottles! Highly recommend.
We have a very wonderful private tour with our Tour guide Tas. He introduced and explained the history of Athens very well. And he took us in the finest restaurant with an authentic and delicious greek dishes plus the fantastic view from the restaurant. Its really an amazing experience and I surely recommend it to everyone.
First and foremost Tas was amazing! Knowledge of the area/history, funny, and made us feel like we were guided by a friend. He thought of everything to make it enjoyable and special. Corinth has so much to see and experience! A family memory we will cherish forever. If my friends ask me where to go in Greece I will tell them Corinth AND go with Tas!
Without a doubt, our trip to Greece was one of a kind. I with my my husband daughter and son planned a whole day private tour with Ancient Greek Tours & Transfers... the brand manager, Manos Zouridis, was so kind and considerate for he did an excellent job in advising us to choose a tour that was indeed overwhelming and mesmerizing as we were told and promised. On the day of the trip, we were welcomed warmly by our driver/ guide Gregory, and with such a friendly atmosphere we had a fantastic start! The guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible and convenient to our time and leisure which we awe are most thankful and grateful for. We had a great day exploring Ancient Corinth, Temple of Hera, Blue Lake & Isthmus Canal Our trip wouldn't be as relaxing and memorable if it weren't for Gregory's warm personality, thoughtfulness, and motivation. Gregory is a well informed guide.. he didn't only show us around, but also made us feel at ease for he waited and gave us all the time we need to truly enjoy scenery, area, and history of the place. It was quite a relief having someone like him as our guide to explore the beautiful environment around. He is indeed a true sample of an excellent tour guide! Many thanks again for Manos and Gregory for this amazing familial memory. We highly recommend Ancient Greek Tours & Transfers for all those who are planning to visit Greece and would like to explore its ancient beautiful and historic sites.
We came to Athens with Holland America Cruise Line. After strolled around the city of Athens with Gray Line bus on the first day, we were looking for a private family time for the second day (the last day in Athens). We picked this tour because it offers more panoramic destinations compared to the other private tour. We were picked by Tas with a brand new Mercedes Benz van. Tas is a great guy. He even brought us cake, candies, and bottled waters. He understands we have an all board deadline and tailor the itinerary as efficient as possible. He took us to the best spot to take photo and a great eatery with veranda looking directly to the temple of Apollo. Overall, we had a great time on this tour. We suggest people on shore excursion (coming with cruise) to take into account that this tour take about 9 hours included approximately 2 hours one way travel time, so 4 hours in total for round trip back to the cruise. Please also take into account the traffic in the city of Athens.
