This tour was excellent from start to finish. Our guide “Nic” was incredibly knowledgeable amd looked after all our needs. Even when there was a torrential rain storm as we reached the top of the Acropolis Nic still told us everything we should know. He really was superb! Heartily recommend this tour. Added so much value and insight to our visit.

Airlines was our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable. We learned things that you would never learn on your own. I highly recommend this tour.
It is a bit of a struggle if you are in your 70’s, but only slightly so and well worth the climb up.
Very knowledgeable guide and she took into account everyone’s activity levels with frequent stops and a break between the Acropolis and museum.
The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Tour meeting point was convenient and timing punctual. Overall good experience. The morning tour at 9:30 was already very crowded at the Pathenon so moving among the crowd and waiting for everyone took some time out of the tour. If you want a more leisurely pace then a self-guided tour may be better, but you will miss out on deep historical context that a live human guide provides.
After 12 days and 7 other tours in the Mediterranean, this one was by far the best. It was well organized, easy meet-up, incredible sites and I highly recommend the museum. However the real star was our guide Andrea. She was well spoken and very knowledgeable of both the site and culture. She also injected fun into the tour and shared personal antidotes of her Greek family including her grandmother who is apparently an expert at shaking olive trees. We will be bringing our adult children back to Athens next summer and I am going to book this tour for them.
We had a very difficult time finding the meeting spot. There was no number to contact as the telephone went to Viator not the tour agency. I took the address from Viator and put it directly into google maps. It was a complete fiasco. I would reccommend going with a tour that meets at the Acropolis which would be easier to find.
The meeting point shown on initial reservation was not correct. My group ended up missing our guided tour and had to pay an additional 120 euros (admission for 4 persons to the Acropolis). My request for a partial refund was denied. The guide did not keep track of his group. A large number of us were separated from the guide for 20 minutes. He should have been carrying a flag or umbrella so we could keep track of him. Disappointed in the visit.
Solid tour with extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide Deppy. She was terrific explaining the history and mythical stories of the site, artifacts and museum. She was very conscious of safety, warning of possible slippery areas, and considerate to stop in shady areas to allow rests and rejuvenations before proceeding to next point of interest. Tour lasted well beyond published time, so bring comfortable shoes, water bottles, hats and your curiosity. You won’t be disappointed.
Acropolis was worth seeing. Your guide had a lot of knowledge. Very , very crowded. Wear good shoes , very slippery .
The climb to the Acropolis is very steep and I would not recommend it for someone who has mobility restrictions. That said, the experience was very much worth the climb and views over Athens were unbelievable. The history associated with area was unbelievable which was enhanced by the knowledge of our guide Lucas.
Highly recommend! Great information and friendly guide. My family loved this tour! We would definitely recommend.
This tour was one of the highlights our two weeks in Europe! Our tour guide Andrea was fantastic. She kept the pace perfect, and was good at finding shade during the tour. The information she provided was so informative and interesting. Would highly recommend if you are visiting Athens.
flexible and very knowledgeable guide cognizant of the heat and gave us lots of water breaks in very hot conditions.
It was an amazing experience and I cannot get over it how well-versed and educated our guide was we’ve been in many tours, and to be honest he was one of the best at explaining the history of such an amazing place
Our guide Sophia was excellent, and walked us through the acropolis and museum giving us details about the Athenian people who built and lived during the time these structures and pieces were created, and all the symbolism behind it all. Would highly recommend!
We very much enjoyed the guided tour of the Acropolis, Parthenon and the Acropolis Museum. Our guide Dionysis was very informative, insightful and funny. Highly recommended.
The check-in process was easy, the tour was at a pace that everyone could enjoy and learn from, and Alise was very patient with the children in the group and took time to explain the details to the larger group. Highly recommend this tour!
Wow. Awesome history told by an expert! Would recommend to anyone interested in historical history. Great tour!
Our tour guide was Magdalini (Magda) and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We went early to avoid the heat. Magda told us stories along the way up and found shade for us which was appreciated because it gets quite hot. She was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions asked. We had some free time on top to take our own pics. The second half was the tour of the museum- I highly recommend someone do the tour with the museum because Magda’s explanation and stories of the artifacts in the museum brought the Acropolis to life. We took the tour that bought our tickets to Acropolis and Museum before hand. I highly recommend so you don’t have to deal with that issue. I highly recommend the tour. Note: our tour lasted 5 hours because of crowd at Acropolis. That was perfect for us because we didn’t have any plans afterwards but just note that crowded days may mean a longer tour.
Magda was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. She was knowledgeable about every question our group asked. Her English was excellent, and she even made sure we always had comfortable, shady areas to gather to and from the top of the Acropolis. Having the museum included was definitely a great decision! Totally worth every penny.
Breathtaking scenery and well worth the climb on a hot day. Sophie from Walking tours was our guide who kept us all informed and safe. Shoes with good grip essential as some of the marble is slippy.
Guide is super knowledgeable and had so much information to pass on. You wear an earpiece which allows you to wonder a little too take photos and still hear all the info.
Tina was amazing very passionate and knowledgeable. She gave excellent information about every structure and items in the museum. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes, there is alot of standing.
10/10 experience, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and showed such passion for Acropolis history! Will be raving about this tour to all of our friends and family.
Ermis was incredibly knowledgeable and provided a lot of context about the history and mythology of the Acropolis and its artifacts. There is no way we would have understood or appreciated the significance of the sites or the excavated items on our own. Truly recommend!
Constantina was an excellent guide, a source of inspiration about Athens and Greece. Her humor and knowledge of Greek history were a terrific combination that kept our interest. Highly recommend!
The guide was excellent in terms of knowledge but he walked too quickly and left people behind. This became quite stressful, especially as the path could be slippery at times.
Number 1 historical sightseeing place in Greece, Athens. Best Tour ,informative, guide Giota knowledgble.
Awesome guide; starting location hard to find but worth it
Such a perfect tour of the Acropolis & the Acropolis Museum. Our guide, Niobe, was the absolute best! She was extremely knowledgeable and went into great detail about so many aspects of the tour!
I have just spent the most interesting afternoon touring the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum with the fabulous tour guide, Vassiliki. Her knowledge and passion were outstanding and she really made the day. Such a mind of information ! It was a really cold day but this didn't spoil the tour. I would most definitely recommend this tour and I will be booking other tours in the future. Thank you !
We had an incredible experience with Margarites at the Acropolis and museum. She is a wonderful teacher and storyteller and our family learned and retained so much information from our time with her about Greek mythology, customs, and language. She was talented in selecting interesting facts and content, coloring in the stories with details, and keeping us interested and engaged. I'll also add that her voice was so pleasant and soothing to listen to. We are so grateful for such a spectacular experience with her -- our time with her was one of the memorable highlights of our week in Athens!
Our guide Andrea was fantastic. Her knowledge of the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum was great. The pace of the tour was also very good. She was helpful with other recommendations as well.
The guide (Giotta) was very engaging and knowledgeable during the tour. In general , she had a nice demeanour and a good sense of humour. The pace of the tour was good, and there’s also time for breaks/exploring.
Dimitris was amazing, he shared the history of the Acropolis in a very engaging manner. The entire tour was very interesting & informative. We especially enjoyed hearing the mythological stories.
Wow. Rina was a wealth of information. My husband was a bit hobbled due to a knee replacement in June. She was very patient and helpful. This is a great tour. All the ruins were explained in detail as were the exhibits in the museum.
Excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed the museum. We have toured the acropolis before and we learned a lot more thanks to our guide on this trip.
Our tour guide YOLANDA was so informative about the history of the Acropolis and museum. She was great!
We took the Acropolis tour and the museum tour with Maria. She was excellent and provided much information we would not have otherwise been exposed to. It rained during the entire tour, but they provided rain gear for all. The Acropolis is naturally very slippery due to the terrain ( hilly and lots of marble), but the rain made it more difficult. Maria was undaunted by the weather and maintained ongoing commentary. She was also very patient and took extra care to assure we were all okay. Great tour even in the rain!
Very knowledgeable guide, of course the Acropolis is a once in a lifetime event and the guide really communicated well. Plenty of breaks, but there's no getting out of a lot of walking.
Our guide, Margarita, was very knowledgeable and informative. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone planning on visiting Athens.
The actual event was fantastic, but the tour guide was not very interesting. She spoke anecdotally too much and not about the historical significance of the subject, essentially taking away valuable time of allowing us to take photos.
They falsely advertise max of 24 people, yet there were 31 of us. Guide was knowledgeable but not friendly (as advertised) or engaging. Very repetitive.
Really got a good sense of several different areas of Athens and then followed up going back to some of the site. Our guide Rena was very invested in helping us take photos and making sure we saw everything too best advantage including the soldiers changing guard. Super fun time and super fun group. I rode the regular bike and didn't have any problems with the terrain but I am a regular bike rider so not sure if someone without such practice would do well on a regular bike. Perhaps consider ebike but definitely worth your time and effort. Super fun and I had energy left to walk all day!
We had planned to visit the Acropolis on our own but are so glad we booked the tour. Our guide was excellent and had a degree in archaeology and art history. She answered questions thoroughly and gave us ample rest/photo stops on the trek up. We also visited the Acropolis Museum. Highly recommend this tour!
We are so glad that we booked this tour, especially the early start. Our guide Niamb was fantastic with a wealth of experience and knowledge. The early start meant we were cool enough and beat some of the crowds. We booked the museum ticket at the same time which was invaluable. Took my 77 year old mum who managed it well. Would highly recommend.
There are many Athens tours. If you want one where tickets are provided alongside a friendly and knowledgeable guide filled with enthusiasm-then this osnTHE one. Oleysa was a terrific host who made the very stones come to life. 100% recommended.
Great tour guide! Group #10 We learned so much! The time flew by. Thank you for an amazing day at the Acropolis!
A very hot day, so glad we booked the early morning tour. Our guide Dora was brilliant at finding us shady spots whilst she shared her knowledge, helped us understand what we were looking at, made sure we didn't miss any of the essentials and gave time for questions. Me and my 11 year old daughter are so glad we booked on this tour, we'd have been lost on our own
