From the moment we met up with our guide Anda we felt as if we were meeting up with a good friend. She was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable, bringing Ancient Greece to life for us. Our tour was 4 hours in pretty difficult weather conditions but Anda kept us interested and amused the whole time. We were a group of 10 friends and at the end of the tour we all agreed she had whetted our appetites to delved deeper into Greek mythology and culture. Thank you Anda and Crispy Local, we hope we have an excuse to use your services again.

Anda was excellent. We do note that with ALL these Viator Acropolis area tours, the Meeting Point could be streamlined more-whether w a sign (for groups) or w a name board (like they do at the airport) for privates groups, or a phone call 10 min before, this would help! However, Anda and the tour were both absolutely great!

We had a great day touring the Acropolis and museum with Irene. She is incredibly knowledgeable and customized the time to minimize the crowds and show us everything during our time together.

Irena was absolutely amazing. Just a wealth of knowledge and a true historian. It’s easy to see how much she loved sharing the history of the Acropolis from the worship to the battles and the design and construction. 12/10 would do this tour with Irena again.

Skip the line and a private tour is the only way to make this palatable. The crowds can apparently be a bit overwhelming. To have our own tour guide, knowledgeable in the extensive history of Athena, was extremely valuable. Eva did a fabulous job.

Private tour for 3 people over 2 days. Day 1 was acropolis & museum tour, day 2 Ancient Agora & Palaka tour. We were lucky to have Anda for both days. What an excellent knowledgeable and entertaining guide Anda proved to be. We had an excellent time, learned many things and shared laughs along the way. Great private tour with Nicolette. The 3 hours was a perfect length of time in the heat. Nicolette was informative , interesting and clearly very enthusiastic and passionate about her subject. we had Anda as our Private guide and she was wonderful. She spent time getting to know us and seeing what our interests were the Acropolis is a very busy place and she put us in places where we could hear her and discuss our interests. She showed pictures throughout and really made for a very interesting tour we then proceeded inside to the Acropolis museum. We would have been overwhelmed if not for Anda explaining the various exhibits. She spent extra time with us, never rushed us and made for a very, very enjoyable tour. Anda was a wonderful guide. So knowledgeable. So worth having a private tour. The acropolis is extremely crowded so having a guide is a must. Take water with you.

This is a truly worthwhile experience if you want to learn about the history of Athens. Anda is a fantastic tour guide with so much passion and knowledge. Anda was amazing, she was very articulate in English and easy to understand. She went at our pace up the hill and explained with pictures along the way. She gave us choices on paths and offered frequently to take pictures for us. When we went to the museum she knew where the bathrooms were with no line and because she is a private group we got in quickly. We adored her and will be referring her to our friends coming next month.

This could not have been any better. We had Irina as our guide and learned so very much because of her expertise. She made this tour the best experience of our entire trip. She not only has the expertise in the history and mythology of Greece, but she makes it all come alive by her stories and enthusiasm. She made some very good suggestions for further learning. We were absoluted delighed with our Artemis Tour of the Acropolis . Our guide was very experienced, appreciated the variety of ages of the group and her timing and information were perfect. We are in our seventies and this was one of the best tours we have ever been on. Our guide, Artemis, made the gods, history and emotions of ancient Athens vivid and inspiring. We highly recommend this tour and THIS guide - exceptional.

We liased with this company to arrange a couple of full day guided tours for nov in off peak season. His respinse was slow and sometimes took more than a wk to reply. The exvuse was he is leading a tour too. But what was frustrating is that as we got nearer to the tour month, his fee quoted went from €300 to €400 and more and from incl tickets to excl tickets. We decided to look for another agency as we hv no faith in entrusting our athens holiday to a fly by night operator. And reading some of the other reviews cobfirms it that this operator can camcel on its customers at the last minute, leaving them in the lurch.

This private tour was wonderful. Our guide was very knowledgeable and geared the tour towards our interests. Our teenage kids really enjoyed it. We recommend.

It would be a mistake to go to the Acropolis without a guide. We had a much more meaningful and educational experience thanks to Anda's knowledgeable guidance. She was wonderful with the children, too. Overall 10/10.

While the Acropolis and Museum are wonderful, it was an amazing tour exclusively because of Irena. We are well traveled and have previously used private guides, but she’s the sole reason this tour was so fantastic for us. She’s incredibly credentialed, skilled, and passionate and I can’t possibly imagine there’s a better private guide for the Acropolis.

We had a wonderful tour with Anda. It was a private tour with just our family of four. Anda provided a lot of interesting information and did a good job of taking us to great photo spots and stepping off to less crowded areas so we avoided much of the throngs of people around us and could easily hear what she was saying. Since it was a private tour she offered us various options for how we wanted to focus our time and attention. After the Acropolis we went to the museum where she continued to give us a private tour of the highlights. We learned a lot about the history of Athens! Definitely recommend this tour.

Anda is a true professional. She is as good a listener as she is a presenter. Our college aged kids were totally engaged throughout the entire time with her. She brought the culture of Greece and the area around the acropolis to life for us!

This private tour was definitely the highlight of our trip to Athens and we would highly recommend it. Having a private tour guide that could enter the Acropolis with you, skip the lines, and provide a detailed history and answer questions is a must do! Anda was our guide and I would highly recommend requesting her. She was very knowledgeable and you could tell that the Acropolis, Parthenon, and the Parthenon Museum are all passions of her’s. We were able to skip the line and go right in and she knew the right spots to visit as well as get great pictures. She is from Athens and had great recommendations for food as well as other places & sites to visit that was close by. We had four older teens with us, and they all agreed that this was one of the highlights of our trip. I will definitely be recommending this private tour to any of our friends that will be visiting Athens!

Fabulous tour, highly recommend! Ana was very informative, funny and a perfect expert guide for our family. Go in the morning to avoid the heat and hit the museum after the walking tour to see some of the originals while you grab a cold water at the cafe and tour in the air conditioning to finish out the day.

A meaningful and must tour for anyone who wants to learn the history of the Parthenon … the addition of visiting the New Acropolis Museum in tandem with the Parthenon tour offered the opportunity to view the original Parthenon artifacts rather than just reproductions. Anda was a fantastic guide who enthusiastically shared her vast knowledge of the site.

What an amazing place the Acropolis is, so much history and beauty. This private guided tour gave us so much more than simply wandering around the site possibly could have. We learned so much of the history of the area and the monuments through our passionate guide. Theodora is such an asset to Athens. She was friendly, caring, well spoken and incredibly knowledgeable. We loved the pride she clearly displayed for her nation and its national treasures that she gave us an introduction to. It was complementary to explore the Acropolis and slopes then the Acropolis Museum, they go hand in hand. We are very keen to come back one day to explore more. Theodora ignited a spark.
