Great experience with Nikoleta and the beautiful city of Athens. DON’T EST BEFORE THE TOUR! We learned so much about the culture and ate SO MANY local dishes. Can’t recommend this tour any more!

Itinerary
Your tour begins at the South Slopes entrance of the Acropolis, from where you’ll set out to experience the archaeological site of the theatre of Dionysus. Listen to the stories of the playful God of Wine and learn about the birth of ancient Greek tragedy before you continue to explore the relics of the Asclepieion, where you’ll discover how the pilgrims seeking spiritual and physical healing paid their respects to the God of Medicine
On the north side of the hill, opposite the Parthenon, the peculiar temple of the Erechtheion, was home to many divine ancestors, including a snake that enjoyed eating honey cakes. Discover the spot where Athena contested the patronage of Athens with Poseidon and listen to the legends about the first king’s mythic origins.
The Parthenon is the perfect embodiment of the aesthetics and ideals of classical Athens. Listen to the stories about the great minds who envisioned and constructed the temple and learn about the optical illusions that brilliantly fiddle with the viewer’s perception

Reviews
We’ve taken audio-guided tours before, but this one didn’t meet our expectations. We eventually had to stop listening in order to enjoy our time, as it was often unclear which monument the guide was referring to.
Clio Muse let me pick my entry time for Acropolis Hill. Then let you download your tickets the night before your tour. Then you'll find out that your entry time is NOT what you selected. It's a SCAM and you trip is RUINED, and you will waste more time trying to savage your day. Good luck with your complaint and trying to get a refund. Please DON'T buy anything from Clio Muse or you'll regret.
"Headout" "Keytours" misleading information on Audio part of tour. Thus site pops up 1st with every search BUT is not the official Acropolis tour site. Audio information lacking.
Went to Athens during Christmas holidays with a couple friends. I came across Clio Muse Tours and we downloaded the city tour guide. I would highly recommend it as a great way to navigate through the historic parts of Athens and see some of the most interesting monuments of Greece. I think it is very enjoyable and easy to follow, it's a nice addition to your trip. I'd love if it also had some food recommendations along the way.
Customer service is a catastrophe. The fees are booked immediately, but we were notified of the time of the visit and the tickets were issued just 30 minutes before the visit. Our two tickets were for different time slots. Audio guide didn’t have any more information than our guide book. A complete waste! And a frustrating complete lack of customer support.
We had great instructions prior to our experience to download the app and the audio tour. The skip the line tickets were great since there was a long line to buy tickets. We arrived at our scheduled time and went right into the Acropolis. Make sure to charge your phone and headphones before you go. Also if you are on a cruise ship there are several "Hop on Hop Off" Buses at the cruise port that you can use to get to downtown Athens. At the time we paid 20 euros each. A taxi was 25 euros each way. We saved 10 euros and got the extra hop on hop off tour.
Other people recommended this but it just wasn’t for us, I guess. I couldn’t get into it. I bought for 4 devices and we all gave up.
Plenty of information during the audio tour. You have to download an app called Clio Muse yours. As it was peak season when we went it was useful to buy the tickets in advance as the booking office at the entrance seemed closed although their sign did say it was cheaper.
Good choice, has 2 tours for my phone with the ticket to Acropolis. A bit hot but totally worth it, nice app.
Downloading and then locating tickets digitally was very difficult but your customer support was very helpful and prompt
Very easy guided tour to do at your own pace. I am so happy we chose this over a tour with a guide and would totally recommend it. It was a nice path with enough information.
The tour was wonderful. Spent almost two hours there and saw everything we needed to see. Once in a lifetime spectacular views.
Having a package that included both the Acropolis' and city audio tour was amazing. The content was great. I would choose it again.
The e-ticket was not accepted and I had to buy a new ticket at the location. I downloaded the ticket before going to the location.
Easy to use tour and listen at your own pace. Very convent to listen to when you are walking through the acropolis. There was a lot of information and history provided which was nice. Be sure to listen for the next chapter and corresponding location on the map.
Brought ticket online around 11pm, local agent has technical issue, didn't get my ticket until the gate was closed
I was in Greece pre-pandemic (June 2019) and took this deal - the e-ticket worked no problem; there weren't any lines when we went but I was still glad to have it loaded on my phone. The audio tour was fantastic for me personally. Will say that it's not for travelers wishing to pack a million activities into one day, or people who are honestly not that inclined to learn about the site beyond the tl;dr version. The segments are informative, one has to figure some things out on their own (which is honestly easy enough, but not time-efficient) and it requires constant fiddling with the phone by design. There is also not a highlights section/condensed version so you either listen to it all or randomly choose what to skip (I did the former - absolutely doable without info overload iirc). So yeah, not recommended on a super tight schedule, and this isn't the Sparknotes version some might want. As I said, it was great for me. I had no download/reception issues (iirc I did take care of downloading everything ahead of time when possible, either way it worked well). I had a few orientation issues but the huge majority of the time it was clear when I should play each bit or what to look at, which is far more impressive than it probably sounds like all things considered. Definitely enriched my visit a whole lot and I personally did feel I got my money's worth. Will say that my partner wasn't so patient and in the end I had to summarize for him, but I'm not entirely sure whether it was a matter of patience, the fact that it was a bit weird to be both hooked to our phones on a couples trip, or an issue with the segments of the tour for anyone who is mostly tagging along.
e ticket worked perfectly, great. Cleo Muse audio tour also worked well however, I walked around again listening to the Rick Steves Audio tour and found his tour a little easier to follow, hence the 4/5 rather than a full 5. My visit was Oct 19 (not 2020) but the drop down doesn't go back that far. Overall I was very happy and would use again
We took the downloaded audio tour to our iPhones, and it is very good in principle. The audio is informative, though a little bit dry ... but still very good to have. Installation of the app and downloading the tour was not too difficult. BUT, note that in the current version (Nov 2019) of the app, it appears that everything is downloaded quite quickly because all 4 elements receive a ‘tick’ beside them. There is no other feedback on screen, and only a cancel button is available. You must wait, despite the 4 ticks being completed, until the cancel button changes to complete (or whatever the text was). We had stability issues with the app on 3 different models of iPhone, where the app would crash out, one losing its downloaded files. We persisted and were satisfied with it all ... but it was not smooth.
2 stars only because the gentleman called me back after there was no answer on the support line. He tried to help but in the end it was not successful. I have an iPhone 11 & the app but not be compatible as each time I tried, it auto shutdown the app. Of course we were already in the Acropolis when I tried my iphone7. Too late as nothing would download. Tried to listen to my husbands who was having similar experience -it must load each one as you select them. It’s slow, not friendly and isn’t really a great guide to know where you are. I’d pay the money for a personal tour!!
Supposed to send us the instructions of how to proceed with this audio tour a week before arrival however we didn’t receive anything until I dropped them a reminder email few days before arrival. I downloaded the tour in Split, last stop before Athens and it showed successful but it failed me when we were up at the Acropolis with no network. My husband’s is working fine, probably because he downloaded in Athens before we stepped out of the hotel. Good thing that they have texts that you can read but with the scorching sun and slippery marble ground, I can only walked around the Acropolis taking photos without the audio guide. I read the texts a day after our Acropolis visit but it has lost its purpose.
The time of day, that we went was not busy at all. Hence, the skip the line wasn’t needed. We also downloaded the tour on our iPhones, but we still apparently required wi fi. We therefore didn’t use the audio, which was disappointing.
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our audio tour at the Acropolis. The stories were the perfect length, quite interesting and very informative. Would definitely recommend as we felt we learned a lot and at our own pace.
Interesting tour but disappointing audio guide, lack of clarity for the departure of the visit but it is nice to be able to come back to the explanations and take the time to visit the monument.
if you like history the one with a capital s you can not miss a visit that will make you relive a remote era but close to us since somehow we come from those cultures, it is fascinating to really walk in history, to think that those places were trampled by gentlemen like Aristotle or Plato who gave us philosophies that still accompany us today. it 'impressive even from afar to see this homeland of culture that looks at us, observes us and guides us so as not to make us forget our origins and our future. go there and you will be enchanted.
