We were so very LUCKY to have Rina! She was expert in delivering knowledge while also making it a fun tour. Try to request her and you won’t be sorry. Carol & Bill

Very informative tour, seamless experience, Electra was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of thebtour
It was an incredible day with Natasha! We started early to avoid the crowds which was a great idea. Make sure you book a museum ticket as well. You’re going to love this tour. It was great to see the acropolis through the lens of our guide, Natasha. She did an incredible job.
First entry admission is definitely worth getting there early. The entire Acropolis experience is amazing except for the huge crowds as the day goes on. Naobi was our tour guide and she is exceptional. Easy to understand, very organized and really made the tour a fascinating experience. The museum is also a must see part of the tour.
It was fantastic to get to the Acropolis before the major crowds. Also, the early morning light made for magnificent photos. I had been to the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum before several years ago, this next visit was worthwhile both in terms of the information provided as well as navigating the accelerating crowds each year. The museum visit was very interesting to me because I last went in 2016, I think it was more comprehensive and I learned quite a bit about how we know what was on the Acropolis before the classical building program of Pericles.
Our tour guide (Naomi) incredible in every way. The tour was very well organized, and our guides delivery was flawless… Very informative. We highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Experience was informative. A little too much talking and was very hot outside. The tour went smoothly and was good enough.
Sofia was knowledgeable, flexible, kind, and kept us together. We loved everything about this tour. Thank you.
It was early but we beat the crowds. 100% worth getting up early. Tour was awesome. Guide was great. Highly recommend.
We had an amazing tour of the Acropolis and were lucky to have Magdalini as our guide. She was excellent from start to finish. Very knowledgeable, well spoken, and passionate about the history of Athens and the Acropolis. We were one of the first groups to enter that morning, which made the experience even better and allowed us to enjoy everything before it became crowded, giving us the opportunity to take some great pictures. Magdalini explained everything in a way that was easy to understand while still being detailed and engaging. She made the entire experience memorable, and we learned so much throughout the tour. Highly recommend this tour company.
This company was great. First they were responsive even before it started, working with me when we needed to meet up. The guild was very informative and I love that they had headsets so everyone could hear no matter what. We went on a very cold and windy day which made it a bit harder to hear, but that’s Mother Nature for you. We continued with the museum tour also. So glad we did, she explained it all easily and made it more enjoyable.
Egli was our guide and she was wonderful! The tour was comprehensive of the most important details of both the Acropolis and the Museum. We had early entry so we started the tour at 8:30am which was best to beat the crowds and the heat. Tip: make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and sunscreen and have a hat...there is no shade on the Acropolis!
It was an incredible tour with our guide Rina. We couldn’t believe her wealth of knowledge. Taking the early tour is the way to go!
The tour operator did a fantastic job! The meeting locations was clearly outlined with a reminder sent to us the day before. Recommend taking tour prior to the 9:00 am rush.
María was our tour guide and was great! She was extremely thorough and knowledgeable of the history but made it relatable and fun! Definitely recommend!
The crowds were so large that the ability to enter early was super beneficial. Pan, The guide was amazing!
A brilliant way to spend a morning being shown around the Acropolis and museum by a lovely knowledgeable and witty guide whose name I cant remember (absolutely shocking on my behalf) she was amazing. We were group No 22. During the summer months I recommend booking the morning tour as it gets very hot. Also if you are unsteady on your feet then take somewith you as there are a lot of pot holes and very shiny slippery rocks. Great tour and you get to see everything . You also dodge the queues to get in.
Everything was as described when booking. The day was hot. There was lots of walking. But the overall feeling of the tour was captivating and interesting - it was a true honour to be there. Marguerite, our tour guide was charming, enthusiastic and above all passionately knowledgeable about her subject. To hold us all enthralled for over four hours without a script was impressive and inspiring. Her thrilling understanding of her country’s history was uplifting and made me feel like I was actually stepping back in time - bravo and thank you.
With the heat in Athens at the time we travelled, it was definitely great to do this to her first thing in the morning. Our guide was very knowledgeable and there was plenty of time to explore the acropolis both with her and for a little while on our own as well. It is also worth paying the extra to enter the museum. It is quite incredible what they have created there. You are left in the museum to explore at your leisure once the tour has finished. It is worth noting that the entrance to the museum with this tour does not include the ruins that have been discovered underneath the museum. In order to view those ruins, you need to pay for another entry into the museum. This could be something that could be improved on by Viator or the tour operator. We didn’t feel it was worth paying for another full museum entry in order to see those ruins.
These kind folks were amazing to work with. We had one difficult time after another starting with a delayed flight into Greece, we were unable to make our reserved timed and Athens Walking Tour host was gracious and rescheduled for the following day. The day of our scheduled time, we could not find our guide, and once again -the host was able to call and locate us. We were greeted with nothing less but kindness. Helene-I think I spelled her name correctly- was fantastic at helping and entertaining us “out of towners” We had a wonderful experience because of their willingness to go the extra mile and help us when needed!!!! Thank you so much and I highly recommend!!
A fair amount of uphill walking but completely wort the trip. The guide was from Athens and was easy to understand and extremely knowledgeable.
You simply will not find a more knowledgeable, professional, and engaging tour guide than Niobe! It was truly OUR privilege for our party of four adults to be on a group tour with her; we saw and learned more about the Acropolis and the Museum in our time with her than we would have been able to do in two+ days on our own! When we had areas of particular interest to us, Niobe happily pivoted to accommodate anything special we wanted to discuss and learn about -- things we NEVER would have seen and learned about otherwise. She was a pleasure to be with throughout our time together, and I am quite certain our broader group felt exactly the same way. We truly cannot recommend Niobe more highly; with her depth of knowledge and expert assistance, your visit to the Acropolis and the Museum will certainly be an absolute highlight of your trip!
We found Athens Walking Tours on Trip Advisor and very happy with our choice. We have a good friend that lives in Athens and her only recommendation was "go early" to the Acropolis. To that advise we added the "small group" walking tour and it was perfect. The early start time gave us almost an hour or more ahead of all the cruise ship tours. Plus you beat the heat in addition to the crowds. We have 4 couples in our group so it was easy to navigate and "bob and weave" as the crowds grew. Our tour guide Niobe was awesome! She was so sweet, relaxed and new all the shady spots to stop to rest and talk. She had extensive knowledge of all things Greek (not just about the Acropolis) and we really appreciated not only the learning aspect, but just how easy she made it all. We felt like we were in our own little bubble as the mass of humanity grew as the morning progressed. Highly recommend early morning and small group tours for a more personalized experience. Thank you Niobe for sharing your time and knowledge with us
We had the pleasure of having APOLLON as our guide in Athen to the " ACROPOLIS" it was an unforgettable experience and beautiful. APOLLON's exceptional skills not only captivated us but the entire group throughout the tour. His ability to engage with everyone was extremely enjoyable and educational. We highly recommend Apollon for anyone looking for a fantastic guide ATHENS WALKING TOUR!! Again, thank you, Apollon Very respectfully from the Sunshine State of Florida. N/F
