Loved the tour. Pickup location was very close to our Airbnb. Meteora was amazing! The provided hotel was very nice. Recommend the tour.

Food poor quality. Mayhem dinner & breakfast service. Unpleasant! * The reason we took this tour was to stay in Meteora. Arrived at 7:00 pm to find our expensive upgrade was in a fairly run-down hotel 7km out of town. With dinner at 8:00 we didn’t go into town. A waste of our time for this tour. We would have done it on our own. BEWARE upgrade just means more money, not necessarily better quality or location. The cheaper priced hotel was perfect plus had meal service with normal amounts of people. The non upgraded guests loved it. * Too many stops at extremely busy rip-off rest stops. Perfectly precise delivery as published and superb guide and driver. Well timed and only one shopping stop
Excellent tour! Wonderful tour guides who were very knowledgeable, bilingual, thorough, and patient.
Excellent 2 day tour with a very knowledgeable guide and great driver. The hotel in Meteora waa a fantastic location too! We loved the tour!!
Very well organized and beautiful experience. The drive itself is beautiful. Highly recommended
They handle all the logistics and driving. The attractions are 1.5 hour at Delphi (no Delphi museum), 15 minutes at Leonidas’ monument and about 3 hours in three monasteries in meteora. The rest of the time is driving/eating. The three monasteries we visited did not require climbing up (two were drive up and one was descending stairs in and out and the bus picked us up at the bottom) Note that they stay at their network hotel (Amalia) which is not actually in kalabaka.
Amazing place to see. It is a world class site. I would do some research before going as the history is fascinating. Be aware of heights and have good walking shoes.
Went on the 2 day tour to Delphi and Meteora in April. The tour comes highly recommended. Very knowledgeable guides. Fantastic views. And overall a great experience, comes highly recommended.
Excellent trip- have bathing pants for the hotel; have umbrella as in Delphi sometimes raining. Beautiful sights
Amazing experience and breathtaking views. Tour guide very knowledgeable of area and history of Meteroa
Hotel was very nice, although not in the town of Kalambaka. Guide was very informative and did not rush us in the sites visited. Both Delphi and Meteora are definitely worth the long bus ride.
This trip should not be missed! Long days in the bus, but totally worth it. The views were amazing. The history incredible and Evie (our tour guide) very knowledgeable.
Nice, small group tour! No issues. Tour guide Jordan was punctual and very knowledgeable. Meteora is stunning!
Our guide, Jordan, for Delphi was not good but our guide, Kenya (sp?) for Meteora was good. Jordan was not able to explain things that well and he could not tie the history together. It felt like he was rambling on. Plus, he smelled and also did not explain how lunch would work for those of us continuing on to Meteora. We ended up buying lunch at Delphi but had we known lunch would be at the next stop, we could have gone to the museum. For Meteora, the hotel was fine but it would have been nicer to stay somewhere closer to the villages. Our hotel felt like it was in the middle of nowhere with nothing close by or in walking distance. While not a part of this tour, it would have been nice to have gotten to see the sunset at Meteora.
We are not usually big bus tourists but time was short so this seemed like the best option and it was pretty great. It was a lot of time on the bus but scenery was good and stops were interspersed appropriately. Our guides were knowledgeable and engaged. The overnight accommodation was high quality as was the buffet style dinner and breakfast. Highly recommended!
There is no doubt that Delphi and Meteora are amazing destinations with great history and fantastic vistas. It is a long way from Athens and this mass-tourist experience is fair way of seeing them at a reasonable price. Our guide for the Meteora was great.
It was amazing experience for all. Meteora is beautiful and a must-see visiting Greece. Both Jordan and Nancy were very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend
This trip was a once in a lifetime Must See! The weather was extremely hot (95+ degrees Farenheit) and only 2 out of the 4 of us made it to the top of the Delphi ruins. The monasteries were amazing as well. Our tour guide spoke French/English fluently and was very knowledgeable and informative of the history. The hotel (3 star) was exceptional -- accommodations, food, staff, etc. The only suggestion I have would be to tell participants to pack swimming apparel as there was a pool at the hotel and we did not plan for this. Given the extreme temperatures, it would have been nice to take a swim in the evening.
It was an amazing place to be, pictures cannot do it justice. It is a very powerful place to be. There are a lot of steps, strongly encourage good footwear and water.
To be able to experience everything, you need to be fit enough to walk up stairs to one monastery and at Delphi. Worthwhile tour.
2 day trip was split into two guides. The first tour was Delphi and the second tour was Meteora. Both guides were extremely passionate & helpful. I really enjoyed the trip to the monastery.
It was amazing to learn about the Greek culture, history, tradition and religion. I have respect for Greek history.
Beautiful Greek country side and mountains and tours of Delphi and Meteora. Great driver(Mr. Costas) and guide as well as great food venues
Our guide in Delphi seemed very disinterested and was not engaging, only gave minimal information. Guide in Meteora had a nice personality but gave kindergarten level info….no explanations on depictions in monastery nor story of saint monastery was named for. Very disorganized and seemed like it was her first tour. Bus driver was excellent and went out of his way to enhance our experience.l providing an additional photo stop once mist started to clear. Experience was like getting great transportation but being without a guide
I was extremely upset when the day before they changed our departure time from 8:30 to 7:35, we barely managed to have breakfast and had to run to the hotel where they would pick us up... I was extremely upset when the day before they changed our departure time from 8:30 to 7:35, we barely managed to have breakfast and had to run to the hotel where they would pick us up... To make matters worse almost 1:00 later we passed in front of the same hotel.. Very kind guide, tirelessly explained the history of Delphi, but only showed us a small section inside the archaeological site and didn't stop talking, giving us only 10 minutes to climb, which of course, was insufficient. In other words, we paid and didn't have time to see the place. Meteora was amazing because we visited alone at night. Old and very distant hotel. Through the agency, they stop for a long time in a bad store, far from everything, instead of visiting the city and interesting stores. Stops on the road in horrible places for lunch on the way there and back. The only good thing really was the city, which is incredible and worth the sacrifice...
The sights were beautiful but a delay in arriving in Delphi meant we had a very rushed visit, didn’t see all the site and didn’t see anything of the museum. The visit to the monasteries was wonderful.
Wonderful two day tour. Great guide who was very knowledgeable in Greek history and art. Very comfortable bus/van. Perfect restroom stops along the way. Self serve restaurants were surprisingly very good. We took this tour after a 21 day Mediterranean cruise and it was definitely the highlight of our trip.
I will say that I don't think that there was enough time allowed for walking around and museum of Delphi. Meteora was amazing and beautiful. I'm glad we decided to go.
Seeing the incredible monasteries on the cliffs is an amazing experience. The hotel we stayed in was comfortable and as was the included dinner and breakfast.
Meteora was mystical. Stunning! The lunch at seaside resturant was excellent. The remaining meals were mediocre
Everything went well during the 2-day tour, with one disappointment. The tour guide finished the Delphi archaeological site tour at 1pm. She gave us 20 minutes to wander around, and asked us to get to the meeting point at 1:20pm. What she didn't tell us was that we didn't have time to visit Delphi museum. If we knew it, 20 minutes should be okay for us to briefly visit the museum. By contrast, more than one hour was spent for the lunch later.
Meterora and the monasteries are a must if you are going to Greece. The guides were very informative and entertaining. The group for the Delphi tour is too big for comfortably getting around the ruins and because we joined a different group to go on to Meterora we were rushed. It meant that we had to give up seeing the stadium and the museum. The smaller group for Meteora was much better.
It was very disappointed that we did not have time to visit Delphi Museum while we were there. The Delphi archaeological site tour was ended at 1pm. The tour guide told us that we can have 20 minutes to wander around. By the time we got to the meeting point, the tour guide said that there was no time for us to visit the museum. If she told us earlier, we would utilize the 20 minutes to quickly go through the museum.
Really appreciated the tour guide's knowledge and our wonderful driver who went through all those twisty turns was amazing. We loved the tour
Wonderful trip to amazing places. The hotel we stayed at and restaurants we stopped at were all great. Our tour guides provided very good information.
Enjoyed the driver and guide, they were very accommodating and friendly. LovedDelphi but I was disappointed with the lack of time we had three. We did not have time to look at the museum. I also liked Meteora the rock formations were great.
Stephanie was our guide and was great! Just enough conversation. Lots of great information and answers questions willingly. The overnight was really great. The hotel Amalia was clean, comfortable and beautiful. The pool was an added surprise and refreshing. Food was very good too!
This tour is definitely the highlight of our trip in Greece. The view in Meteora is stunning, accommodation and meals are great. We are glad to have Joy as our tour guide, she is knowledgeable, friendly and patient. It takes over 5 hours from Athens to Meteora, with breaks in between. A bit long but worth a visit.
Delphi was just ok, Meteora was good. The rock formations around Meteora was something unique. Only thing is that one should have enough time to absorb the uniqueness of the place.
This was a truly incredible experience. Meteora is like nothing else, and Xenia was incredibly knowledgeable.
Everything was seemless Very organized Good breaks and good food accommodations was great Tour guide , ( avros ) was exceptional, on 2nd half of trip meteora , Very well informed -
I do not recommend the Turkish airline company - terrible company. He canceled the flight and kept the money. Flight TK 437 - from Athens to Dubronik for October 25, 2024
The trip to Delphi and Meteora was wonderful however, the operator (Chat) had un-optimized logistics, negatively impacting our trip benefits; from leaving late and shorten the visit to Delhi to 45 min to the bus with tinted windows that reflected posit side making taking pictures impossible, to longer than needed breaks to certain stops, the operator did not perform to expectations.
This trip is absolutely worth the price, in fact, it was the highlight of our trip to Greece. The drive to Delphi and Meteora was scenic and we saw a few small mountain towns along the way. We had lunch by the sea with very good food which was included in the price. The only reason I am not giving this a 5 star rating is because our van driver had the air condition setting at very low for half the trip and it was extremely hot. We finally complained and he turned up the air condition. Guests should not have to ask this when temperature is 100+ Fahrenheit.
One of the best guided tour I’ve ever experienced, massive thanks to the guide Stathi! I didn’t feel as rushed as some reviews stated. Long drive, but with a few stops here and there it's perfectly doable.
The tour guides and bus drivers were excellent. We had two as has to change over in Delphi. Plus the pick up person was excellent. However, pick up was at 7.30am and we picked up people for other tours for the meeting place. Departure was at 8.45am with a group that was doing Delphi and return . It was a confusing way to do the tour especially as the mini van we changed to already had people from Athens on it. And had plenty of spare seats for us. The meals and lunch places we stopped at were all massed produced, and expensive for the quality. With so many tourists using other companies the areas are stretched thinly, but the food could be improved or the prices dropped. It was super busy with school groups besides tourist groups. The guides did a great job at managing the situation especially as some groups are extremely pushy (physically) and loud. They were both knowledgeable and answered questions readily. The drivers were good and found close spots to get in and out of sites. I would suggest checking if cruise ships are in port and if possible pick a day that none are in.
Historical experience and lots of walking. Nice and scenic. Guide and driver professional. Can venture into this vacation
We loved our visits to Delphi and Meteora. Our guides gave us a lot of important and interesting information about the two historic sites. Meteora, in particular, was spectacular for the views. We highly recommend visiting these two sites with guides who can give important background information and answer your questions!
The view in Delphi. It was a little rushed. Meteora was also a place with stunning views. Our guide was very good in explaining the monasteries.
