First of all, this is not a 4-star hotel. - The rooms are tiny. - The bathrooms are cramped; the sink is so small that you cannot even wash your face. - There is an electric kettle, but no coffee or tea—items that should be provided in a 4-star hotel. - The beds are decent, and the breakfast is acceptable. While the hotel has been renovated and looks presentable, by any standard, it is not a 4-star hotel. Now for the worst part: Groups of pupils and students are constantly arriving! As one group leaves, another arrives. They are extremely noisy and loud, making it impossible for other guests to sleep. At breakfast, these students create total chaos. The worst aspect of the hotel, however, is the staff. I strongly advise against making any complaints. If you do complain, be aware that they might call the police, claiming you threatened them—they interpret any raised voice as a threat. In effect, they turn themselves into the victims following your complaint. Interestingly, there is a police station right next to the hotel. They have an arrangement with the police, who will come, take you to the station, and use intimidation tactics—all because you allegedly "threatened" the staff. It is disgusting and pathetic—frankly, it’s ridiculous on the part of the Greek police. Presumably, they think this will intimidate you into never complaining to the hotel again. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel; instead of a pleasant atmosphere and genuine hospitality, you get arrogant receptionists who call the police on you just because you dared to raise an objection, a great deal of noise that makes it impossible to sleep, and, all in all, a bad atmosphere.

Great friendly and helpful staff. A nice variety of food for breakfast. They also supply a breakfast box if you need to checkout early. Comfortable bed and a good shower. Locally located to transport. However it is in Omonia with the infamous homeless people. Absolutely no issues just be aware. Have seen plenty of families here.
Good hotel at a decent price but the location is sketchy and shady but safe if you take simple precautions. Located one block away from Omonia square (little Pakistan) it is very convenient with the metro and ilektriko (electric train) but not very pretty. The area is dirty surrounded by drug junkies and illegal immigrants. The hotel is good and the rooms are comfortable and in a good condition. The breakfast is also good. This hotel is good for 1 night or 2 ot a quick gateway in Athens but there's nothing to see in the area specially late evenings.
I stayed at International Atene Hotel for five days. The staff were friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the room itself was disappointing. The room was very small, and the bathroom was extremely cramped. The sink was especially strange because it was so tiny that it almost felt designed for a child’s hands. I am honestly not sure why it was built that way. Cleanliness was also a problem. When we arrived, there was visible dust in the room. During the stay, the cleaning seemed to consist mainly of changing the towels, arranging the bed, and sanitizing the bathroom. It did not feel like the room or bathroom were being properly cleaned each day. Breakfast was included in the booking, but during my five-day stay I only ate there once. Personally, I did not enjoy it at all and chose not to return for breakfast after that, it felt off! The location was one of the positive about it, however, another thing to be aware of. There were quite a few homeless people around the area, and on some of the side streets we saw people openly using drugs. Because of that, I would recommend being more careful when walking around the area's neighborhoods at night. The positive side was definitely the staff, who were nice throughout the stay. But overall, the very small room and bathroom, poor cleanliness, disappointing breakfast, and surrounding area made the experience less comfortable than expected.
Great location near the metro. The hotel is clean and staff are helpful. Rooms are a bit small and not well isolated. The breakfast buffet is okay and covers all basic needs, the greek yoghurt is delicious.
