Coco-mat Athens Bc

Let me start off by saying that I spend about 60-70 days per year in hotels. This hotel was very nice and I would stay again. I will start off with the positives- the staff was really nice and helpful. They let us have a check-in about 3 hours early. The hotel is an excellent location near all the tourist areas with shops, restaurants, museums, and the metro within easy reach. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The "goods" far outweigh the "negatives." The negatives....somewhere in their literature this hotel is described as a 5 star hotel. It is definitely not a 5 star hotel. By American standards, it's the equivalent of maybe a 3+ star hotel. I'm not knocking the hotel, but that's just what it is. Why? First off, the rooms are a bit small and awkward. The room feels much smaller than it is. When you walk into the room, there is a short hall that leads to the bed area. There is maybe 3 feet of space on one side of the bed, 4 feet on the other side, and maybe 4.5 feet on the third side. It's a tight room for two people with suitcases. There isn't a traditional bathroom. The sink is in the hallway, and on either side of the sink is the water closet with the toilet, and a shower with a clear door on the other side of the sink. So basically there is no bathroom. Hopefully you are traveling with someone you know intimately : ) The gym is sparse with equipment. There's a treadmill, no free weights, and a couple of weird exercise machines- and I don't even know how they worked. The TV is small and half the channels didn't work like CNN or BBC. The walls in the room are bare. They advertise an airport shuttle, but there isn't one- they just arrange one for you if want at your cost. So overall, I'd recommend the hotel and would stay again.

I had a very pleasant stay at COCO-MAT Athens BC. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable, a highlight of my stay. The location was excellent, with tourist attractions close by, making it easy to explore Athens. The only disappointment was the breakfast, which I felt could be improved. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel for its cleanliness, comfortable beds and convenient location.

Cant asked for a better hotel to spend our 4 days in Athens. Reception staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Rooms beautiful and the location best you can ask for. Rooms have amazing views of Acropolis, location is best and everything walking distance. Great restaurant and shopping district. Breakfast staff amazing and delicious food. Check out is quick and easy. Staff really amazing. Don't use Uber for transport, Uber is terrible. Ask the hotel staff to help with transport, thank you to the Coco Mat BC staff to make our stay do amazing. See you soon, thank all staff members 🙏

The hotel is excellent and while the location is central to Athens and touring the city, it's a few minutes' walk from the Acropolis but other neighborhoods are up and coming. While they enjoy the good location, they still went out of their way to make it modern, elegant, and clean, sitting atop some old ruins.
