The rooms are spacious and clean but the beds are incredibly soft and the pillows are practically flat. Love the shower. The breakfast has a big variety but the cooked food weren't very tasty. This was by far the worst 5-star hotel breakfast I've experienced. All the staff I encountered were very friendly except for Efi, who services breakfast. She needs to smile more and be less stern in her responses. The pool staff were also great. Art Lounge served delicious food.

I stayed at the InterContinental Athena a week ago with my family, for eight nights. We had two connecting rooms, and everything was simply excellent. The service was top-notch, and the staff were incredibly courteous and attentive. Every request we had was met with care. The room service was excellent, the housekeeping was outstanding, and the reception and concierge were superb. This was actually my third visit to the same hotel in 10 years , especially after the renovation, and it continues to impress!

It's not always the smoothness or perfection of a stay that leaves the greatest impression. Rather, it's the thoughtful and considerate way minor issues are resolved that truly reflects management's dedication, passion, and attention to detail. We stayed in Athens for one night and received truly exceptional service. Our stay was delightful from beginning to end. We experienced one small check-in hiccup when our room key didn't work. From our perspective, it was a very minor inconvenience that delayed us by no more than five minutes. What impressed us most was the way management handled the situation. Their response was gracious, professional, and far beyond anything we expected. As a thoughtful gesture, they surprised us with a wonderful bottle of Cabernet, transforming a minor inconvenience into a memorable example of outstanding hospitality. Exceptional service isn't measured by the absence of problems, but by the genuine care and commitment shown when they arise. This team exemplifies that philosophy, and we would gladly stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at the InterContinental Athenaeum Athens. Check‑in on the Club floor set the tone right away as there is a dedicated desk for Club guests, and we were greeted by Pemy, who was exceptional. She walked us through everything we needed for a great stay in Athens, and her hospitality made a strong first impression. The Club lounge itself was a beautiful space, with both indoor and outdoor seating and an attentive team that made every visit feel special. From the rooftop, we could see the Acropolis, and at night it was absolutely stunning lit up against the sky. Our room on the 8th floor was spacious and modern, with a king bed and a separate living area. It was incredibly comfortable and gave us plenty of room to relax after exploring the city. We also had fantastic meals at both of the hotel’s restaurants — Cafezoe and Artbistrot. The breakfast buffet at Cafezoe offered all the classic continental and hot options, plus Greek specialties like yogurt and baklava. For dinner, Artbistrot completely blew us away. As someone who have spent 200 stay days around the world and with an elite status with one of the global hotel brands, I’ve never had a hotel restaurant meal that made me want to write a review until now. We ordered the Truffle Fries, Iberico Pork Chops, and the Moussaka, and every dish was outstanding. Our server, Anastasia, was wonderful—engaging, friendly, and always checking in at the right moments. The hotel is about a 26‑minute (1.5‑mile) walk to the Acropolis, and if you enjoy walking, the location is great. It’s roughly the same distance to the Plaka, Monastiraki, the Athens Flea Market, and other major spots. Overall, the combination of service, comfort, dining, and location made this stay truly memorable.
