Areos Hotel

Even though renovated in 2020, the quality of the rooms is very low, but I can't deny they are spacious with very kind staff. There isn't an 24/7 reception and half of the time our cards dont work but it's okey. Can't really recommend also the area being legit in a Getto area

Very friendly and helpful staff. Desk closes at 15:30. It can be hard to get into and get your room key after hours. Rooms are okay with broken plumbing. We had to change rooms due to this. Even the second room had broken plumbing, but at least the shower worked. But the friendlynes of the staff makes up for a lot. Free coffee downstairs (except for one day when the machine suddenly charged 1 Euro). Also free espresso in the rooms, free bottled water, a small fridge. Two elevators. When on the street side you'll be woken by the church's bells. Balconies for most if not all rooms. Neighborhood cal feel somewhat unsafe in the evenings, especially in back streets and around the Victoria metro station. Area not recommended for single ladies or the elderly. Nothing especially bad though.

My family and I recently stayed at Hotel Areos in Athens and had a truly excellent experience. The hotel is stylish, comfortable, clean, and well-located—perfect for exploring the city. But what really stood out to me was the outstanding service. The hotel manager Harry, was especially helpful, going out of their way to ensure everything was perfect during our stay. From great local recommendations to prompt assistance with any requests, the level of care and professionalism was clear from the moment I arrived.

A massive thanks to the manager of The Areos who late at night ( when my insurers had not secured the room for me earlier) made certain I was looked after. ( I'm here in Athens because my husband is in hospital here after an accident and major surgery - it would have felt a desolate and lonely place without the kindness of the people here at The Areos) Extremely helpful, friendly people. Lady who cleans my room is so lovely too. Room is spacious enough, bathroom and shower spotlessly clean. Espresso coffee machine on hand. They even left me a kettle because I liked tea ( but haven't found any small enough packets yet). The reception and lounge are pleasant and comfortable. Vending machine for water and that chocolate bar just when you need it. Close to so many things ( albeit I'm not here to sightsee) but lots of info available from reception. DEFINITELY a hotel I would recommend. A massive thanks too.
