Private Tour To The Nubian Village And Felucca Ride In Aswan

We had a fantastic four-hour experience exploring the Nile around Aswan, visiting a Nubian village and finishing with a beautiful sunset aboard a traditional felucca. The first part of the trip was by motorboat, passing some of Aswan's most interesting landmarks, including the Tombs of the Nobles, the Botanical Garden and the Aga Khan Mausoleum. Along the way, our guide shared fascinating information about the Nile, its wildlife and Nubian culture. What really stood out was our guide's professionalism, excellent English and extensive knowledge of Nubian history, traditions and everyday life. He was happy to answer every question and, most importantly for us, was absolutely wonderful with our five-year-old son, Samuele. We also enjoyed visiting the Nubian village, learning about its traditional houses and local customs, and exploring the colourful market. For the final part of the trip, we switched to a traditional felucca, sailed by our guide's brother, who was equally friendly and spoke very good English. Watching the sunset over the Nile was the perfect way to end the afternoon. Both boats were clean, comfortable and very well maintained. Everything was perfectly organised, with excellent punctuality and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere throughout. The value for money is simply unbeatable. My partner Carla, our son Samuele and I absolutely loved the experience. We took the tour in English, but it's also available in Spanish and other languages for a small additional fee. If you're visiting Aswan, don't miss it! Without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip to Egypt. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely fantastic time with Omar! We originally booked just a sunset felucca ride, but after speaking with him, we decided to add a visit to the Nubian Village, and we are SO glad we did! It turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Omar picked us up in his private motorboat, which was beautiful, spacious, and extremely clean. It was perfect for our family of four and honestly nicer than most of the other boats we saw on the Nile. We started our journey enjoying fresh mangoes, which the kids loved, while Omar shared interesting stories and information about the Nile, the surrounding area, and Nubian culture. Our first stop was the beautiful Nubian Village, where we had time to walk around, explore, and enjoy some tea. The kids even got to hold a crocodile, which was definitely one of their highlights! We also visited a wonderful spice shop and brought home some delicious spices. Another highlight for the kids was getting to swim in the Nile! We could have joined them, but unfortunately hadn’t brought our swimsuits. After visiting the village, we transferred to a traditional felucca sailboat operated by Omar’s brother. His boat was equally beautiful and incredibly comfortable. We were able to stretch out, relax, enjoy tea, and take in the most spectacular sunset. It truly couldn’t have been more perfect! Omar’s brother was so kind, and we enjoyed chatting with him about all sorts of things while peacefully sailing along the Nile. The sunset, the atmosphere, and the company made it an unforgettable experience. Afterward, Omar picked us up again and drove us back. Throughout the day, he was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. As a proud Nubian, he shared so much about his culture and traditions, which we found fascinating. Our son enjoyed learning about Nubian culture so much that he was joking about wanting to become Nubian himself! Overall, this was a fantastic experience from beginning to end and truly one of the highlights of our trip to Egypt. Both boats were exceptionally nice, the entire experience felt personal and relaxed, and Omar and his brother made us feel so welcome. We would 100% recommend booking with Omar, and if you’re considering adding the Nubian Village to your sunset felucca ride, absolutely do it! You won’t regret it! Paid $50 for Felucca and & $60 for Nubian Village.

Really worth. Good sailing tour and the motorboat slovly takes you up river to see the area and the sandy beach where you can take a swim. Omar our guide was very good and explained the Nubian history and showed the village with no rush.

Wow! Had a wonderful afternoon exploring the Nubian village with Omar and his team. It was the perfect day. He was punctual and very professional. Everything went smoothly. I would’ve liked a little more time to explore the local crafts for souvenirs. Perhaps a few minutes can be built into the tour for shopping. The camel ride, holding a baby crocodile, learning about and sampling herbs and spices from Dr Tito, and swimming in the Nile were highlights. Hibiscus tea was delicious. Highly recommend this tour that is run by Nubians.

Omar was an incredible guide, one of the best we had during our 9 day trip across Aswan, Luxor, and Cairo. His love and pride for his Nubian culture could not be replicated with another guide. Additionally the transportation - car & boat - were far above par from our other tours. We deeply appreciated the thoughtful gestures such as cold mango and chai on the boat ride. Omar was so helpful that he was able to help us get a car to Abu Simbel when another tour fell through. The Nubian community and tour guide community connected through Omar are incredibly hospitable and kind.

We had an absolutely fabulous afternoon with Omar on the tour. We were picked up promptly from our hotel and taken on a gorgeous felucca up the Nile before heading back down to the Nubian village. We stopped off for a little swim before exploring the village and having some lovely hibiscus tea and snacks. Omar was kind, attentive and fascinating with his tales of the Nubian culture and life. Finally we had a gorgeous sunset trip back to Aswan where he kindly had the boat drop us off at a restaurant he recommended (absolutely delicious!). 100% recommend if you are in Aswan.

The tour included two boat rides—a peaceful and relaxing felucca ride, followed by a motorboat ride outside the city and deeper into the biodiversity of the River Nile. Along the way, Omar shared his knowledge and pointed out different bird species. At the Nubian village, we arrived from a different side than the other boats, which allowed us to skip the crowds. Omar our tour guide was fantastic and shared his vast knowledge and insight into Nubian history and culture. As we walked through the village, we were invited to have tea in one of the local houses, which was a lovely touch. The tour also included a Felucca ride which was terrific and we even managed to find time for a paddle in the river Nile. All in all, an amazing and highly enjoyable 3 1/2 hours.

The Felucca ride and visit to the Nubian Village was an incredible experience! The tour began sailing peacefully along the Nile on a traditional felucca, enjoying the calm atmosphere and beautiful scenery. Afterwards, we continued by boat to the Nubian Village. Throughout the journey, our guide Mido shared the history of the place with great detail and enthusiasm. When we arrived at the village, we were warmly welcomed by the locals with a traditional welcome drink. We walked through the colorful streets, and it turned into a truly wonderful morning.

My girlfriend and I had a great afternoon choosing this private tour. Sailing with the Felucca and driving with the motorboat through the beautiful landscape in the side rivers of the Nil and next to the Nubian villages was just nice. Omar explained to us the history and showed us the way of living of Nubian people. Omar is a very relaxed and experienced local guide who makes this trip very enjoyable.

Mr. Omar is an amazing human who welcomed us, as a local, into the life of Nubian culture and life by the river Nile in Aswan. He patiently handled all our questions as he expertly guided us through the streets of the village and his community. We truly appreciated the opportunity to explore a Nubian house and the local markets. Additionally, and not to be underestimated, as part of the experience we enjoyed a most relaxing private cruise along the river Nile in a felluca, around sunset, with Omar's brother and a charming young lad working the lines as first mate. Omar is a great guide that patiently explains you Egyptian culture and the points of interest. We did the Nubian and Felouque activity but also had another experience before with him, exploring the Great Dam and the Philae Temple. We were so pleased, that we decided to book also this one. Just finished this tour and honestly it’s the best tour in Aswan Communication is top notch from the moment you book Omar is amazing, friendly and very knowledgable. He is Nubian so he knows all the people. You start with a great motorboat ride down the Nile to the village. Then you hang out at a local family’s house which is beautiful. Plus you get to hold a baby crocodile in the house with a pic Then you take a relaxing felucca ride back up the Nile Also Omar provides water and tea and other treats This tour is more relaxing and fun than the other temple tours and I can’t recommend it enough

An experience you absolutely must do. If you think it's a tourist trap, nothing could be further from the truth. It's an authentic Nubian village. To get there you take a pleasant trip on the Nile, relaxing, which in itself fills you with wonder. You discover the Nubian area and then you arrive at the village. Yes, there are many shops but none are pushy. Then you can visit a typical Nubian house where the owner will welcome you with a delicious mint tea and some snacks. And to finish off, a felucca on the Nile... what can I say, to do again. Maybe to stop a night in the village, maybe to try Nubian food, maybe to discover the secrets of spices. All accompanied by Omar, our wonderful guide, thanks Omar for this beautiful experience!

It was a wonderful experience with Omar . He is one of the indigenous people of Aswan “Nubian”. He lives in one of the Nubian villages by the river. Took us in breathtaking trip with his boat visiting the Nubian village. He gave us a good knowledge about the Nubian culture and the history of Aswan. We met Mrs Soma enjoyed the local drink and met her guest from the “ the old land “ . The sailing boat took the trip to another level. Definitely we gonna visit again. The camel was well taken care of, and the ride was reasonably priced, with no pushy salespeople—just a great experience all around! Then I got to visit a Nubian house, where they welcomed me with typical Nubian snacks and shared so much about their lifestyle. There were even a few surprises that made it extra special. Wonderful day ! Omar is a guide with exceptional knowledge since he is himself Nubian (lot of information on Aswan, the Nubian people and other). We had an incredible boat ride to the Nubian Village on our arrival Omar allowed us to take 0a Camel ride (very well respected Camels for a very reasonable price and "without insistence" Afterwards we visited a Nubian House where they Offered us a typical Nubian snack ! A fantastic excursion that I heartily recommend to anyone who wants to experience the true local essence! The felucca ride in Aswan was incredibly relaxing, making us glide gently along the waters of the Nile. The real strength of the tour was our guide, Moataz: simply excellent, super smiley, and always engaging. He filled us with explanations and was very available to answer all our curiosities about both Aswan and Nubian culture. Once we arrived at the Nubian village, we visited an authentic typical house and walked through its characteristic narrow streets. An authentic experience that I absolutely recommend!
