Next, continue with a drive to the Aswan High Dam. Built in the 1960s, the Aswan High Dam, a major engineering project, is one of the world’s largest dams. We had a great experience with our guide. He was very friendly and flexible. He shared interesting facts about the places we visited and made sure we saw a lot throughout a day. The driving was comfortable, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. A nice highlight was that he also took us to a restaurant for dinner, which added a great local touch. We had less than one day in Aswan and wanted to hit all major sites (Philae temple, unfinished obelisk, high dam and Nubian village) within Aswan. Karam’s tour was the only one I can find that included them all and has multiple start times, which was the perfect fit for our need and schedule. We chose 11am start time and whole tour took 6 hours. Highly recommended.
We loved Karam and we really enjoyed our day with him. He was kind and patient and he recommended a lovely local restaurant that did not overcharge us, for lunch, with yummy food. His vehicle is new and extremely clean. The only part that we did not enjoy was the visit to the spice shop, but the rest of the day was really lovely. Karam is awesome. Highly recommend him and if I’d known that he does trips to Luxor, I would have booked him for that as well.
Excellent guide who was very attentive and keen for us to enjoy the trip. Gave us all the time we needed and included some extras which would not have been possible in a large group. Wherever we went he knew the people which meant we weren’t hassled by sellers etc so we could relax and enjoy the day. Highly recommend.

My day trip to Aswan was unforgettable. From the moment I was picked up, I felt completely safe and comfortable. The car was clean and cool (a huge plus in the Aswan heat!), and my guide instantly made me feel welcomed. Philae Temple was breathtaking—walking through it felt like stepping into another world. I’m so glad I chose to hear the history behind it. We also stopped at the High Dam, which offered some incredible views and photo spots. But the highlight for me was the Nubian Village. My guide’s knowledge of Nubian culture and local life was amazing, and it added so much depth to the experience. I genuinely learned a lot and loved meeting the locals and seeing the colors and traditions of the village. Throughout the whole trip, everything was well-organized, relaxed, and enjoyable. My guide Karam felt like FAMILY! I never felt rushed, and I truly appreciated how thoughtful and informative he was. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Aswan. It was an amazing experience that I’ll remember for a long time!
Avoid!!! There seems to be much better options on here. The driver knew nothing about Aswan, we fact check the information after and it was all wrong. It is listed as Aswan tour, but the tour does not include any information it’s basically just an overpriced driver for the day. They then also scammed us for $800 at our hotel because the didn’t put the boat cost on their website, which they have now updated to $500. We’ve never had a bad tour after travelling for this whole year, but this was bad
The guide was the best one we had during our time in Egypt. He was very laid back and fun to be around. The trip to the Nubian village was amazing as well as his families spice tour. I wish he could have been our guide for every day excursion in Egypt.
Karam was very friendly and helpful, organizing a complete city tour reaching all the main remarkable places to visit, an intensive day even during summer time, well organized by Karam. Philae Temple is a must in this itinerary, Elephantine island is very interesting as well. We enjoyed a lot the motorboat journey along the Nile River to get the Nubian Village.
Hard working Man. Friendly and outgoing, with a nice comfortable car. Took us around at our request and at no point rushed us, he even helped communicating with merchants; either for bartering or getting them to back off. He also helped us contact people for booking the cruise to Luxor.
