We had a splendid time with Omar ( guide) and Hani ( driver). They are very kind and know English very well. Omar is prepared on everything we visited and he answered all our questions. They even brought us to the quarry to see how local people extract the stole from the ground. We really uppreciated their company and we suggest tourists to book this trip with them.

Itinerary
Start your day tour in Aswan by getting picked up from your hotel or cruise ship and drive to the High Dam of Aswan, an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s. From the top of the High Dam you can gaze across Lake Nasser to the Kalabsha temple in the south and the huge power station to the north.
Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk in the granite quarries of Aswan, where much of the red granite used for ancient temples and colossi came from. The Unfinished Obelisk still lies where it was carved when a crack was discovered as it was being hewn from the rock. Your qualified Egyptologist guide will explain how the 1 ton obelisk was carved, and why the crack caused it to be abandoned.
The last of the 3 famous Aswan sites you will see is generally regarded as the best. Philae Temple was carefully moved to its current location (around 500 meters from the original site) when the construction of the High Dam caused surrounding Nile waters to rise. A short motorboat ride takes you to the island, where your guide will take you on a walking tour through the temple before allowing you free time to explore further on your own. Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae Temple has a beautiful setting on an island in the river which has been landscaped to match its original site.
After finishing your tour, you'll be dropped off your hotel or Nile cruise in Aswan.

Excellent all round experience with a great guide Michael who was a great source of knowledge and moved at exactly the pace we wished for. Would highly recommend
We really appreciate and like the way how the guide explains us the history. The transportation was really comfortable and kind.
Highly recommended tour to visit all the main sites in Aswan. But more importantly our guide Aida wad simply fabulous taking time to explain all history of the monuments and sites. Aida gave us plenty of free time to explore by ourselves and take pictures. Transportation was on time and well arranged throughout the whole Tour! You will not be disappointed by booking this Tour. X&D
Michael is an excellent, knowledgeable guide who speaks impeccable English and led us on a relaxed, stress-free tour of the Philae Temple and Unfinished Obelisk. He did a great job explaining the deeper meanings of the artwork inside the temple, and walked us through the history very well. Aswan is a calm, peaceful oasis by the Nile that's full of fascinating history. I highly recommend you have Michael take you around the sights.
it was a very good tour and the guide Aida was knowledgeable and helpful , we enjoyed it very much. Philae temple was fantastic.
Originally booked for two but my husband was I’ll so I went alone. Aida was lovely - she provided me information, we laughed and I felt completely at ease with her. The trip was great - thank you. Aida, I wish you well.
Nice tour to go with family. The temple is amazing and a must see for people who comes to Aswan. Michael was our guide, friendly and was able to accommodate our needs when needed to buy food o others. The bus was clean and in good condition
I booked a private tour with pick up from my hotel on Elephantine Island. The message was clear that there was going to be an extra charge because my hotel was on the island. I agreed with the extra fee and sent all the information requested. I specifically mentioned I was staying on the island. At 11am (the pickup time) I got a message from the tour company saying I had to cross the river by myself. No pick up. I was annoyed because I didn’t have cash on me at that time and that was the reason I requested the pick up service. Then, while I was waiting for my private car and the guide, I received a message saying another couple was going to join my tour. I mentioned I paid for the private tour so it would be fair to get a discount. They tried to say it was a bit private not fully private, but still private? The couple didn’t join me and my tour guide mentioned they were going to do the same tour later in the day. It felt like the tour guide was annoyed by that as he had to do it twice? The tour had a weird vibe, it felt like he was rushing to get it done. I ended up skipping the unfinished obelisk because he kept saying it wasn’t worthy. It was a terrible experience and I felt guilty for their own mistakes. Never again.
This tour is fantastic, especially with Asmaa as our guide. At a relaxed pace, we visited the Unfinished Obelisk, the High Dam, and the Philae Temple. Asmaa answered all of our questions, gave good information, and allowed us free time to wander and take photos. I highly recommend this private tour.
Overall the tour was ok, it was done within 4 hours as he went really fast through out the areas . High Dam is not really something to crave about as you have to pay 100 EGP just to see a dam. But for the price you pay , this is what you get . If you have short time go visit the Nubian Village and the just the Philae Temple.
This was an excellent tour with a very knowledgeable, helpful, and very sweet guide. We very much enjoyed it!
Excellent!! Our tour Guide, Madgy, (or “Big Mac”) was warm, welcoming and considerate of any particular needs during the tour. Both and Egyptologist(knowledgeable) and a professional tour guide(kept us out of being hassled) was great on the 5-6 hour tour. Well paced tour, clean car, good conversation(his English is excellent). Optional spice and oils shops are nice if you have time, but only if you want to buy some souvenirs.
This was by far the best of our five days of tours. Our guide Magdy (aka Big Mac) was very friendly, energetic and informative. Throughout the trip he was frequently checking in with us to make sure that we were having a good time and that we had all our questions answered. We wish that we would have known of him before our trip as we definitely would have booked all our tours with him.
Unpleasant experience. AVOID THIS TOUR OPERATOR. We were picked up by a fully damaged Russian Lada car, that was dirty inside. The tour guide, MINA SAMI, did not even great us, just wanted to drive off as soon as possible. He was pretty roud and arrogant (e.g. I told him that we visited a coptic temple the other day - he agressively told me that there are only coptic churches, not temples...). He wanted to push us through the entire program, he was constantly on the phone. The best part: we needed a ride to Luxor, he offered us a driver. Eventually the driver turned up with an extra guy sitting in the car - both the driver and this guy refused to introduce themselves. When I called Mina, asking for an explanation he threatend me on the phone that if we dont like what we get, they are going to leave us on the side of the road in the desert and take all our money... THIS GUY SHOULD NEVER BE LET CLOSE TO ANY TOURISTS! Btw the tour is a rip off anyways. It did not include any tickets (25 usd per person extra), and the sights you could easily do with Careem and wikipedia for 10 usd.
The great information shared by the tour guide, and the overall experience, it was enjoyable, informative and o really had a great time.
We were truly blown away at the beauty of everything we saw. The Philae Temple was a must. It was truly spectacular to see such rich history up close. We had an incredibly kind guide who made the tour personal and fun!
During the pandemic Michael was accommodating with our young family, so patient and well versed in the history of Aswan! We had an infant all the way up to a 9 year old . Excellent trip and highly recommended if you are in Aswan even if for a day like we were.
Aïda is really the perfect tour guide! She provides detailed informations and fun facts. She is a full energy and kind person.
Aida picked me and my sister up from the train station to begin our tour. She was very knowledgeable about all of the sites we visited and added so many extra things - cartouches ordered and delivered while we traveled, stops at local spice and essence shops, advice on buying in the Nubian village. It was a great day made all the more wonderful by Aida's knowledge and assistance.
Aida was a great tour guide for my husband and I. She took her time explaining things and always gave us private time afterwards to check things out on our own. Very sweet and polite! Would definitely recommend :)
Michael was a very knowledgeable and hospitable tour guide. Made us feel very welcome during our tour. Would highly recommend to other people looking to travel to Egypt.
Michael was a very knowledgeable about the history of Aswan and answered any questions we had of him. His driver and him took the necessary safety precautions to make us feel safe against COVID 19 would recommend going.
It was a awesome day we had spent in Aswan with my family... Special thanks to Mac B... we are very glad to have him as our guide tour.... 😊
Learned a lot from the tour and the guide~ Philae Temple is very unique and beautiful. Time management of the tour is good that you can visit 3 hot spots efficiently!
I had such an awesome time with Big Mac! He and the driver (who worked really hard to make the experience what it was) were kind enough to pick me from the station where I’d just gotten off the train, and then tailored the tour around my living arrangements. He was really informative and was really sociable and cool. I learned so much today and this became one of my favourite days in Egypt for these reasons. Would highly recommend! Thanks Big Mac!
Michael was a fabulous guide! He was on time, knowledgeable and flexible. We really wanted to visit a perfume shop, and he rearranged our tour on order to make it happen.
Me and my friend took this tour. The guide, Magdy(he said he's called 'Big Mac'), was really nice. He is intelligent, humourous and super gentleman! He explained everything in detail about the place and his explanations were easy to understand. We were super lucky to have you, Magdy;) I highly recommend this tour and the guide Big Mac!
Me and my friend had really great time with Magdy(Big Mac). He was kind, open minded, and had so much knowledge about temple and high dam. And he had good sense of humor as well. Had the best time in Aswan:) Thank you!
Big Mac was very knowledgeable and informative. Highlights of Aswan was great, although the weather was hot, he planned the itinerary well and took us around in an AC van. This tour was good, just wish entrance fee were included. Big Mac didn’t pressure us to visit the shopping aspects, gave us good tips about who and what situations to avoid. I would recommend Big Mac as your guide.
We had a great time with Big Mac who took really good care of us. We also had a private driver which allowed us to stay cool in between trips without worrying about getting a taxi. Big Mac stopped to buy us waters along the way too. The Unfinished Obelisk is impressive, but not much else to see here. There are actually two unfinished obelisks on-site. Mac made sure to point out the second less obvious obelisk. He quickly took us to the salient points so we could see them and get out of the sun. The High Damn may not be worth the admission price, but understanding the history is worth a visit as it is an impressive feat of engineering. The Philae Temple is AMAZING and really makes the day! The tour company was outstanding here and really helped facilitate the boat ride to and from the temple. One thing we "added" to our tour was a stop at Cleopatra's Perfume shop. We use essential oils, so we were interested to try and smell for foreign scents. We can't be sure it was completely on the up and up, but enjoyed the experience nonetheless.
The first day of the tour, in addition to the original trip, take us to the additional storefront, there is a spice store, as a result of spice store price is very high (for those who do not know the Egyptian price is really directly slaughtered), back then take us to the textile shop and perfume store, 30 ml of perfume 30 dollars so, the taste is a good news, but see goodwill, the individual is hoping to stay a little more time at the attractions, shopping is not something in the original journey, can not take us past, in addition, also hope to introduce more
Super visite, super guide avec des explications très intéressantes et une bonne répartition du temps Coup de cœur ++ sur le temple philae
The French guide was very professional, we learned a lot thanks to her, the tour was complete, and well organized
4 hours to visit the marble quarries (with the unfinished obelisk), the Aswan dam and the Philae temple with an excellent Francophone guide (impeccable French and informative comments without being too strong) this deserves a favorable review.
