This was a fantastic 3 days trip! We had Khaled as our personal tour guide and we had a wonderful time. He truly made this experience special. I would highly recommend this tour with Luxor tour guide company! Additionally, Mohamedl from operations was very helpful in setting everything up, we felt very safe and well taken care of!

Day 1
1
Private tour to explore Philae Temple. The one was carefully moved to its current location (around 500 meters from the original site) when the construction of the High Dam caused surrounding Nile waters to rise. A short motorboat ride takes you to the island where your guide will take you on a walking tour through the temple before allowing you free time to explore further on your own. Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae Temple has a beautiful setting on an island in the river which has been landscaped to match its original site. It's various shrines and sanctuaries celebrate the deities involved in the myth of Isis and Osiris.
Then go to the High Dam to see a modern achievement of the Egyptians which took them 10 year to be built, from 1960 to 1970, see the second largest artificial lake in the world, lake Nasir and cross over the friendship emblem.
Seeing the Nubian culture close and personal indeed is a lovely experience. In fact, the Nubian village Aswan has unique colorful painted houses. It also has basic but comfortable living standards and happy smiley people. You can reach the Nubian village Aswan by the Nile boats. Taking the boats will let you enjoy the beauty of the Nile River. It will also let you enjoy the islands which you will pass through. At the Nubian Village Aswan, you will indeed enjoy the simplicity and calm. You will enter the Nubian Houses, play and take photos with crocodiles. The village has many Places to buy souvenirs, Nubian handicrafts and aromatic herbs.
Day 2
2
We depart Aswan early in the morning ((Pick up will be 4.00 to 04.15)) to join an escorted convoy which departs Aswan at around 05.00. This gets us to Abu Simbel to see the temples in the light of the rising sun, and we then have a guided tour with one of our Egyptologists and some free time before we drive back to Aswan (approx. 3 hours drive each way, with around 2 hours at the temples). The temples built by Ramses II at Abu Simbel are one of Egypt's highlights, and have a fascinating story behind them to go with their impressive size. When Lake Nasser was flooded, the final water level was going to submerge several temples, the most important of which being Abu Simbel. The temple was therefore dismantled completely and rebuilt further up the hillside where it sits today. The temple stands today as a testament to Ramses II and the great building prowess of the ancient Egyptians, as well as to modern engineering. Later, we will catch evening train to Luxor. Upon arrive Luxor our driver will pick you up from station to your hotel (East bank hotels)
Day 3
3
Valley of the Kings, burial place of the kings of Thebes (ancient Luxor), you will have a brief stop at the visitors center. Guides are not permitted inside the tombs, but your guide will tell you what to look for inside the elaborately decorated rooms. If you wish to visit the tomb of King Tutankhamun, an additional cost is payable direct.
Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most striking monuments in Egypt. Your guide will introduce you to the history of the temple and the story of Queen Hatshepsut, the famous female ruler of Egypt who posed as a male to gain the throne. There is free time to explore at your leisure as you wander the large courtyards and admire the intricate hieroglyphic decorations.
Colossi of Memnon, which mark the site of the funerary temple of Amenhotep III. These two giant statues standing tall and proud on the West Bank are all that remain of the ancient complex.
Temples of Karnak, Walk along the Avenue of Sphinx to enter the complex as your guide explains how the massive facade was constructed. On entering the Temples of Karnak you will see each legacy left by the various pharaohs as the complex grew even larger. The deeper you go into the complex, the further back in time you will travel, with the oldest ruins dating back over 3,000 years. Walking through the Great Court into the Great Hypostyle Hall, it's hard not to be overwhelmed by the 134 columns towering above you like an ancient forest. At the rear of the complex you will find the sacred lake where centuries ago pharaohs and their offerings to the gods were purified. After a tour of the complex, you will have additional free time to explore at leisure.
Luxor Temple which was once joined to the Temples of Karnak by a two-kilometer long Avenue of Sphinx, a portion of which marks the entrance to the temple. Dominated by statues of the great warrior pharaoh Ramses II, Luxor Temple has survived Nile floods, foreign invasion and thousands of years exposed to the elements. A pure Egyptian temple, the inner walls and columns are decorated with intricate hieroglyphics which your guide will help you decipher. Find out how Alexander the Great wrote himself into Luxor Temple's history, and see one of the original pair of obelisk, the second of which now stands on the Place de la Concorde in Paris. back to your hotel in east bank of Luxor. Excellent service and tour guide called Khaled. He knew everything about the Egyptian history and was very enthusiastic about informing us all about it.
Becouse of the guidance, we had freedom in programs, and we were lucky to avoid the hustle and bustle.
This trip was a fantastic experience. Extremely, well-organized and friendly kindness awaited and helped us to discover Egypt. Abu Simbel and Aswan is stunning. It is worth trying sailing and watching the amazing sunset on the Nile.
I visited Philae temple, high dam, low dam and Abu simbel. It was an engineering miracle saving the temples from under the waters of lake Nasser by cutting it to large pieces, dismantled, lifted and reassembled in a new location. You will be wondered about these engineering ideas. It’s worthy ❤️
This was my favorite part of my trip. I enjoyed my experience at the village. He helped me to translate and I was able to have a meaningful interview with a Nubian family.
I really enjoyed the tours with Khaled. He was able to clearly communicate everything in English. The car had AC and I felt completely safe traveling with him. He provided great education everywhere we went and took pictures for us.
Our vacation with Luxor tour guide was incredible! Khaled was so knowledgeable about every site we visited, and he went out of his way to make sure that we felt comfortable and safe at all times. Words can't describe my gratitude for him and his excellent guidance. I would highly recommend
Visiting Abu Simbel was the culmination of the trip, and Khaled made it extra special. Thanks, Khaled for this memorable experience! You're a pro!
The very best way to see the monuments in and around Aswan,Luxor, is to see them with Khaled from Luxortourguide Tours We spent three days with Khaled in and around Luxor. We have travelled to about twinty countries and had some excellent guides in many of them. We rate Khaled in the top Five percent of those guides. He is an incredibly knowledgeable Egyptologist, and in each place showed us details and gave us informed explanations and insights that none of the other guides seemed to share with their guests. He went out of his way to make sure we had a thorough and highly historical understanding of what we were seeing. His English is impeccable, and he is an incredibly enthusiastic and pleasent person. You will not find a better guide in Egypt. We know because we tried some others here and in Cairo. They were good, but not in the same league as Khaled.
Excellent Tours Wonderful holiday with great experiences! Very safe and a lovely country to visit and we saw some amazing things, a must for everybody interested in exploring this super Country! I would like to say that Mr Mohamed responded to every of my emails almost instantly, and after exchanging some emails, explaining what i would like to do and see as well as some personal problems (I visited Egypt, with my wife and 11 year old son, and 7year old doughter and my father, mother, mother in law and father in law), and sometimes it's difficult to adjust everything to diferente ages and tastes, i was also on budget and i found that Luxor Tour guide gave the best prices for the tours. I would also would like to say that our drivers was very nice and friendly and always tried to do it all as we asked, always with a smille. For some of the tours we also had Said as a guide who also proved to be very friendly and knowledgeble of Egypts history and monuments always trying to explain to us everything with a passion for his country culture that impressed us. Thank you Luxor tour guide company for everything and best wishes for you all. i would advise anyone to visit Egypt. It is a land of contrasts. A must if you haven't already been there. Guides who can answer any questions and are so kind and helpful. New discoveries are being made all the time, so there is no chance to be bored. Lovely people, lovely experience , amazing company ( Luxor tour guide ) Enjoy your visit!
I traveled from Aswan to Luxor.. I liked everything except the guide in Abu Simbel didn't seem to exist.. Valley of the Kings was great and all the guides were friendly.. All the entrance fees must be prepared.. ^^
We booked our tour with Mohamed from Luxor Tour and he was very attentive to us and answered every questions we had. He even went out of his way to help us with arranging for train tickets along with Mahmoud. When we arrived in Aswan, the car was there with Mahmoud ready to pick us up with cold water (much needed!). We had Ahmed as our tour guide. Funny person with A LOT of knowledge to share! Our main highlight was definitely Luxor though. Again Mohamed made sure that we were fine before traveling to Luxor. In Luxor, Khaled picked us up right on the dot at 8am! He definitely wake us up with his charm, jokes, humbleness and knowledge. He explained everything in detail to us at every stop and made sure we had time to roam on our own as well. He was also ever ready to take photos for us and even give us tips on where to stand and poses! And made sure that we were careful about our belongings. All in all we are very happy to have booked through Luxor Tour Guides!
Excellent private tours with hugely knowledgable guides We contacted Luxor tour guide company whilst in Luxor based on the mostly positive reviews here on TripAdvisor to see if they could assist with a private tour of the Luxor,Aswan,Abu simbel The Tour operatour had contacted us to say he'd be happy to help and met us at our hotel the next day to arrange. From the outset he was hugely helpful in terms of tips of when to go (on the transfer days, therefore avoiding large tour groups) and at what times to get the best atmosphere and pictures. His prices for a private tour, with guide and driver, were less than the group tours we had been offered by our tour company. On this basis we booked with him and were very impressed from start to finish. The Tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable - there wasn't a single question we asked that he didn't know the answer , really, amazing! we were happy with everything. Absolutely recommend this tour company.
As advertised this tour really does allow you to combine the best of independent travel with the safety and security of your own driver and guide. It also gives you the freedom to choose your own accommodation, and I was fortunate to stay in fabulous places in Aswan and Luxor. The guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. There are two sets of guides, one in Aswan and another in Luxor, and they take you to and pick you up from any where you wish that takes you in between the 3 cities Aswan,Abu simbel,Luxor. You also get a say in your itinerary from a couple of options. This was exceptional value for money.
Enjoyed the program, an organized tour company whose dates are tight. Mohammed is a very respected figure. Easy to book. A genuine nomination.
