We were picked up on time, which was a good start, but the overall experience left us disappointed. Unlike what we read in other reviews, we only received a very brief, 5-minute introduction about a few scenes in the temples. There was no detailed explanation or proper guidance, which was the main reason we booked the tour.

Very good tour, kept to time and well organised. It was definitely worth leaving at 4am. They accommodated drop offs for everyone i.e. airport, train station...etc
The temple was amazing, They picked us up from the hotel where we stayed at the scheduled time, it was a trip comfortable trip, we enjoyed every moment with tour guide, he shared a lot of interesting information about the temple and that area with us, the guide speaks English very well, he took our photos very nice, then we were dropped off at our hotel, it was a great tour, nothing happened other than what was promised, no extra fee was charged (we gave a small tip to the driver, but there is such a culture here, so it's normal)
Amazing temple and Shaima was very nice! She helped me verify my boat departure so I could have more time exploring the temples.
いいガイドさんに丁寧に説明してもらって、尚且つ一人でも見て回るのに十分な時間が取れました。ツアー会社側も事前にWhatsapp経由で連絡をくれます。往復+ガイド付きでコスパがいいツアーだと思います。 I had a great guide! He was friendly and took photos for me. I think it was a very reasonable tour.
The transportation was very good. they send someone very kind to our place at the nubian village to take us to the aswan dam where we took the minivan. We arrive early so there was not so many people at the temple. We recommend. Just don't take the guide with this tour because he give you about 10 min explanation with photograph and then you walk alone for the rest of the tour until the departure of the minivan. (Guide is not allow to enter in Abu Simbel temple)
Obviously Abu Simbel is worth seeing, That is beyond doubt. So why choose this operator? Well, all I can say is that they bussed us to the temple in good time and with no stress. Arrangments online were very efficient and the price was keen. There is no guide on the bus....but somebody meets you at the temples.
Special thanks to Mr Amr mekky our tour guide from Egypt tour portal Such an amazing trip from Aswan to abusimble I’ll never gonna forget
We chose Egyptknight tours for visiting Abou Simbel, the Philae temple, and Luxor attractions . They are flexible, aware of your needs, and communication is perfect, We hardly recommend this agency .
Pickup is on time, no stops on way there, 1 stop back, good English guide! Overall great experience considering the price.
The transportation was fine according to schedule, pickup and drop-off were ok. The explanation on the temple could be better, this was not as we expected only 2 minutes of explanation about the temple.
The only good thing about this tour is the price for transportation, one day before they told me they couldn’t help me with transportation from Nubian village, that’s ok, but why they didn’t specify that in this app? They are supposed to at least help you to find a taxi, so in that case look for a transportation from your hotel to Asuán in advance. Second thing: they offered a “certified Egyptologist” but there were not even a single person to explain at least 10min about the temple, the driver just said “you have 2 hours, see you here at 10”, like what???? And also that’s not enough time because the line to get a ticket is almost an Hour or more because everything is so Unorganized. So if you just want transportation for a cheap price, this tour is for you, but if you want to have detailed information about the temple, look for something else.
Nice to visit Abu Simbel. Bus was OK and got there efficiently. However bear in mind it's a 3half hours trip twice in a day, with a 2 hour very rushed stay at the site. It's a long trip departing at 4am. I would not book the option with the egyptologist as we spent with him only a few minutes, good man, but didn't get significant value out of it. But overall good.
The van picked up us at 3:45 a.m. and the journey to Abu Simbel started at 4:45 a.m…. We were 3 h on the Van. When we arrived at Abu Simbel we had only 1h and 30min to buy a ticket, walking to the temple, listening the guide, visiting 2 temples and taking pics! I felt nervous. We travelled 6 h (totally) to enjoy the temple and we had so limited time !!! No relaxing, every 15 min I was checking my watch! We travel from thousands km abroad to visit the Temple, so let us to enjoy it! It’s not all about money !!!
Needed to visit Abu Simbel in shortest possible time. Thanks ti Viator and Abusimnle Day Tour we managed the goal. Started 4 a.m. from Aswan - 8:45 arrived to place, spent comfortable 1 hour sightseeing and 13:30 were safely back! Exactly what we wanted but daren't to expect at first. Great, reliable service. Experienced drivers!
We were short of time while in Aswan and thanks to this company were able to see Abu Simbel in a shortest possible time. No stops on the way there and just a 10 min. stop on the way back. Superfast service and very good drivers. Journey was completely safe.
Driver was punctual. I was picked up from the KFC by the public ferry dock. Van was clean and air conditioned. When we arrived we were provided a guide, which we were not aware of and personally not needed for us. As we were only interested in pictures and observing. We had last minute change of plans and Egypt Knight Tours was nice enough to accommodate, to do the tour a day earlier without any issues. Still great trip overall and would recommend with this company.
It was good. The driver came nice and early, showing up to our accommodation the night before and introducing himself. On the way Abu Simbel, we had a random, not previously disclosed stop that last for over an hour. The drivers said it was a checkpoint but gave us no reasoning into why we stopped for such a long period of time. This was nerve racking for me and my partner as we randomly had to stop for over an hour in the early hours of the morning in a foreign country with no explained reasoning, and the whole time we were wondering what the hell was going on. However, the journey resumed shortly afterwards and we were on our way to Abu Simbel. When we got there the organisers gave us a very good introduction and brief of the temple and the story behind its construction which was really fascinating. And then we were allowed to go ahead and explore the temples freely. I could've wished for a little more time but it was fine and I had enough time to explore both temples. The journey back was good and the driver also took me and my partner right near the airport which was great as we arrived early for the flights that we had a flight to catch that day. Overall it was a good experience. It would have just been nice if they explained what was going on when we stopped for so long. But it was still a good journey that I'll never forget.
Like any other of this kind, this tour consist in a 3 hour and a half road trip to get to Abu Simbel, then 2 hour stay, and other 3 hour to get back. Two hours are way too short too see Abu Simbel, also considering the amount of people that you will find, since every tour leaves at 4 am, so everyone gets there at the same hour, but this is a shared problem. Guides are not allowed into the temples, so they'll do a quick explanations (10 minutes) before giving you free time to visit. Our guide was good. We specifically picked up the option to leave at 3 am, to be there earlier than other tourists, but the tour operator wrote us that we would have left at 4 am anyway. We stayed at a Nubian Village near Aswan city, and they asked us to pay 300 extra EGP to send us a taxi that would have dropped us at the west sohail totok station, which is literally 10 minutes away by car, so definitely not worth the 30 EGP/minute. First of all, on the tour description isn't written anywhere that certain hotels are out of their pickup area, and second the highway that goes to Abu simbel begins near that station; the tour operator tried anyway to convince us that our pickup would have forced the other tourist to do a 45 minutes deviation to pick us up. It's fair to say that being absolutely identical to other tours that go to Abu simbel, this one is the cheapest one.
I gave this tour two stars. The first one because the bus was clean and had air conditioning so that's a plus. And the second for the destination because it was phenomenal. I booked this tour specifically because the start time was 3:00am and I wanted to get to Abusimble early and I figured leaving at 3:00am got us there around 7:00am, which is not what happened so they should really update their page to be accurate. This is what happened - I got a WhatsApp saying they were picking us up from the hotel at 3:45am, I thought fine, we're probably the last people they're picking up since this is a group tour after all. Wrong, at 3:45am we were the first people they picked up, we then had to go around until 4:30-4:40ish picking everyone else up. We then stopped and parked on the side of the road, not sure why, for another 20-30 minutes. We didn't get to Abusimble until 8:10am, it was already busy and being on that bus for four and a half hours was not comfortable. But whatever we made it, onto see the sights, our "guide" was terrible. He just rattled off facts and never once let us ask a question. So for a quick run down, you drive there in the morning (we left at 3:45am), we got two hours at the actual place (8:10-10:10), and we arrived back at the drop off point 2:30. There is one stop on the way back to go to the bathroom and/or get snacks (which bring your own snacks and water). If you're looking to go to Abusimble you're better off hiring a car/guide and going on your own to beat the crowds and I think it's a bit faster.
The tour was excellent. The driver was on time at our hotel. The bad think it that the tour was supposed to include a guide but at the ticket office the forced us to pay extra 13,5 Egyptian pounds (student price) for a local guide
This is one of the optional tour that offered in our tour , glad we've done it . This is a early morning travel to the south part of Egypt , as per our guide its near border of Sudan . Three hours of travel then upon arrival at ABU Simbel the sun start to rise which add to the beauty of the place. Recommend this tour.
It was only one and a half jour to visit both temples. It wasnt enough and every body ask you for a tip.
Must type of tour. Everyone goes to abu simbel and majorly does it this way. Get up early (around 4 am) , arrive at Abu Simbel stay there for 1.5h and then leave. What is great about this tour is that we arrived at the first round and there still was few people. About the guide it just explained 10 min before letting you 1h to visit the temples. I expect more but I think that's how everyone is doing it... We stayed near Aswan city, at the Nubian Village and they asked us to pay an extra 300 egiptian liras to drop at the west sohail totok station which is not that far to pay the 300 extra and should be included / detailed in the tour information. (also, when we asked where would they pick us up they didn't specify saying that it's a "military point" so, be careful)
It's a very early morning start, but I managed to easily get from Elephantine to pick up point. The drivers were helpful and guide was very informative. I enjoyed this trip.
Tour was planned for a bad time - very early rise (3:45) in order to arrive at peak busyness. Tour organisation should take this into account and advise on better times to visit. Very little time on site, about 45 minutes. This is very little considering that its a 4 hour one way drive. Tour guide pretty aggressively asked for tips for a 10 minute introduction where he ignores most of the questions asked.
For the price and the time it reaches, it's very good value. You are picked by a crew of drivers in a small van. You drive 3+ hours and reach by 730am before the buses arrive. There is no guide/commentary in the van, you just sleep while going and coming back. Once you reach Abu Simbel, you buy the tickets which include a local guide. The guide will spend no more than 15=20 minutes max. This is the total package. If you want something more, go ahead and spend more money. I would rather read it up online in detail.
Abu Simbel itself was excellent. The tour guide was not good, he kept losing everyone, and we also had to pay for entrance.
Does what it says on the tin. Early trip so as to avoid the mega crowds and searing temperatures. We were picked up at 4am from Aswan mainland, 3hr drive to Abu Simbel, had 2hrs to roam which was plenty of time, and then we got back to Aswan at 12.30pm. the local guide gave us brief explanations of each of the temples while we were there. The temples were pretty amazing! It was a bit annoying having to wait for some other passengers (we were waiting for 20mins at one of the pickup hotels) but obviously not disastrous to the whole trip.
Abu Simbel is amazing and this tour was the best price. We had a tour guide but to be perfectly honest, with hindsight I would have just watched a documentary about Abu Simbel on YouTube beforehand and then just go and enjoy the time that you have there which is only about 90 minutes
We did a 4 days Aswan-Luxor tour including Abu Simbel and Nile Cruise with Egypt Knight Tours. We had small children in our group so we had to customize the timings a bit and Mahmoud was kind enough to offer us a tailor-made tour that fit us. Our tour guide Mahmoud was extremely patient and gentle to explain us everything during the tours. We liked the cruise ship also. It was really a luxurious one (M/S Semiramis II). Communication with the whole team was very fast and smooth. Mahmoud was always there to answer me whenever I had a question. Overall we are very satisfied with our tour with Mahmoud. I would highly recommend Egypt Knight Tours.
The tour is well organized and pickup came on time though more hours than expected. Guide is knowledgeable but brief explanation. Price is reasonable.
The trip was good. Driving in Egypt is crazy though. Your drivers were nice and the guide was welcoming and informative. Only thing I could suggest to improve is less risky overtaking in the car but I understand that I don't know how to drive in Egypt. The guide was very friendly and not pushy at all.
The page explicitly said the tour included a licensed egyptologist as a guide, but there was no guide at all. They only dropped us off and picked us up. When someone in our group inquired about a guide upon arrival at Abu Simbel, they just told us to go and be back by 10am. I'm disappointed since my one chance to see Abu Simbel with a guide is passed due to false advertising. They need to advertise as being only a shuttle service.
This tour is an absolute must if you’re visiting aswan, Abu simbel is simply breathtaking and you can also appreciate the beautiful lake Nassar. The tour starts around 4am they pick you up from your hotel, communication before the trip was excellent!!! It takes around 3 hours to get there and you have around 2 hours to do Ramses and Nefertari’s temples which is plenty of time since they’re right next to each other, after that you drive back and you’re in aswan around 1-2. My advice for this trip would be to bring Egyptian pounds!! Most places won’t accept credit card or other currencies like USD or euro.
The transportation was nice and punctual. The guide at Abusimble was not good. Basically gave a 2 min speech and went away.
I booked 2 tours from viator while in Egypt. One was really good and this was quite terrible - and this is what u get since Viator will use third party. First, lack of communication between tour operator and us. It was only after i sent a message through Viator that the tour aperator reached out to me to inform the meeting points, time etc. Second, though it says boats provided for those who stay in Elephantine island at extra cost, note that this can be misleading as ‘the paid provided boats’ only will pick u up at the jetty and not from your hotel. If you are staying on the other side of Elephantine island (like us) the jetty is 15 minutes walk through villages with stray dogs roaming in the middle of the night!! Third, the driver was 20 minutes late!! Texted and called the tour guide, late response! By the time we reached to the temples, we only had 1 and half hour!! we were lucky bcos the queue for that day was not long. Fourth, we paid extra usd5 per person for the guide, who while is knowledgeable, only briefed us for less than 10 minutes!!! Had I known this is the case, I would rather buy myself a guidebok. And the worst part, after we arrived to the site, the driver only told us to get back to our van at 10:00 am. Since I booked through viator, I knew that I paid the tour guide. However, the rest of the group left confused. Upon reaching at the site, everyone was not aware what to do. I helped some of them and most of them even not aware whether the tour that they booked include the guide/not. It was so messed up!! My advice, you can just book through your hotel/guest house which is way cheaper and convenience.
Great way to see Abu Simbel from Aswan. Perfect amount of time at the temples and convenient pick up based on your accommodation!
The temple is fabulous and not to be missed. The explanation by the egyptologist was standard brochure information. Nothing detailed, but you are short on time so that's understandable.
Mahmoud organised 10 day tours for us in Aswan, Luxor and Cairo. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and kind and we had a great experience Mahmoud was very easy to communicate with throughout. We would highly recommend Egypt Knight to other travellers.
We did several tours and every time experienced friendly and efficient tour organization, responsive with emails and whatsapp, carefree travel, and very friendly and knowledgeable guides (egyptologists). We loved it and can warmly recommend 👍🏻
The ride was good but the Egyptologist (tour guide) quality was really bad. He was not passionate and I couldn’t understand his English. He was very robotic and felt like he was just repeating what he has to say… he didn’t speak good English.
Took that tour from Aswan. 4 hours by car from Aswan. Arriving there you have 2 hours to see both temples and take pictures. For me 2 hours are enough time.
The temples were amazing but not worth the drive there and back, the driver wouldn’t turn the AC up past the first notch at all even though it was over 100 F degrees outside. There was 12 of us smushed into this van. The drivers never said a word and pulled over for about 25 minutes with no explanation, got out of the van and left us there to sweat.
Great tour that went as described. Hotel pick up and drop off was easy and on time. Communication with the tour operator was great. We had Just under 2 hours to explore the grounds and the tour guide - Ahmed was very informative. Would recommend this tour.
I thoroughly enjoyed my tour with Egypt Knight Tours! As a mother traveling alone with a small child, my driver was attentive and patient. They definitely went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. My tour guide offered to take all of our pictures! Amazing experience and I can’t thank them enough.
The scenery of Abu simbel is great. It's a long round trip drive 3hrs single way (6hrs ) from/to Aswan, and 2 hrs viewing. But the scupture and encraving of acient egyption are really amazing. It worths to look at in real. The bus to take us there is ok. The employees are easy to communication with. The hour of the trip can be better. It starts at 4:00am which is quite earlier. Maybe there are reasons why it cannot be later..
Good driving in the minibus non stop 3 hrs then you have 2 hr in Abu Simbel I met the guide there he explained the temples outside as no guides allowed in the temples and 3 hrs back journey I started early 4 am and back to Aswan around 1.30pm
One of the best tour agency experiences I have ever had. I’ve done tours in South America, Asia, Europe and the US and this has been the absolute best one! Mahmoud was great to deal with, extremely attentive to details, and always gave us a fair price, as he encouraged us to shop around for better options. He was able to find some really good deals the night before the tours all over Egypt, not just Aswan. Would absolutely recommend to friend and family, and use his services every time I come to Egypt.
Amazing tour! Egypt Knight Tours contact us via WhatsApp (as requested) immediately after the booking, with constant and pleasent communication. Pick up was perfectly on time, vehicle was extremely comfortable and brand new. Once at the site, our guide Mahmud our was super knowledge, fun and pleasent! Definitely the best guide we had during our Egypt stay . Gracias Mahmud from your friends from Mexico (near San Luis hahaha😉) ! My friend even forget her reading glasses at the van and they contact us to informed us and kindly brought the glasses back to our hotel . Excellent experience!!
