Great value for money. Amazing experience, the boat was very good. Our room was clean and comfortable. The meals on board was plentiful, varied and tasty. The tours were very interesting our guide Mina was great and very informative he made sure we were comfortable at all times. I would definitely recommend this.

Such good value for money. The room was great. The food was plentiful and varied. The tours were interesting but the early morning wake ups were not for the weak. The hot air balloon was also a great experience. Our guide Mina was knowledgeable and went out of his way to make us comfortable. He was excellent. Great experience.
We had an amazing experience on our Nile Cruise! Everything was wonderful, and a special thank you to our tour guide, Talaat Abdo, who made the trip even more memorable. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and always happy to help.
Telaat Abdo is a nice friendly guy with funny jokes. Knows a lot about egyptian history and you see that he likes his job. We had a nice tour
Our four-day Nile cruise was one of the most memorable experiences of our Egypt trip. Sailing along the legendary River Nile, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of Upper Egypt, was truly special. The cruise offered a wonderful combination of relaxation, sightseeing and an opportunity to experience the history and grandeur of ancient Egyptian civilisation. Visiting the magnificent temples and monuments along the Nile gave us a deeper appreciation of Egypt's extraordinary past. The experience of sailing between destinations, watching the changing scenery along the river and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere on board was equally memorable. A special mention goes to our guide, Mina, who deserves particular appreciation. His knowledge of Egyptian history, mythology and ancient civilisation added tremendous value to the journey. He explained the stories behind the temples, monuments and hieroglyphics in a clear and engaging manner, bringing the ancient world to life. He was approachable, knowledgeable and willing to answer our questions. His explanations helped us understand not just what we were seeing, but also its historical and cultural significance. There were, however, a few aspects that could have been handled better. One thing we noticed throughout the journey was the frequent expectation of tips at almost every stage. While we completely understand and respect the tipping culture in Egypt and appreciate good service, the repeated requests sometimes made tipping feel more like a mandatory payment than a voluntary gesture of appreciation. We also felt that the commercial side of tourism was quite prominent. Some of the optional excursions and arrangements appeared to involve additional commercial considerations, which would have benefited from greater transparency. We cannot say for certain whether our guide had any personal financial involvement, but at times we did feel that the recommendations for optional activities were not entirely free from commercial interests. Similarly, when arrangements were made for us after the Nile cruise, the restaurants suggested were considerably more expensive than we expected, particularly when compared with the quality of food offered. A little more attention to value for money and the preferences of guests would have made those arrangements more satisfactory. These observations do not take away from the wonderful historical experiences we had or from Mina's considerable knowledge and ability as a guide. A good guide can make a destination memorable, and Mina certainly did that for us. Overall, our four-day Nile cruise was a highlight of our Egypt journey. We would particularly appreciate the opportunity to explore Upper Egypt with a knowledgeable guide like Mina, while also hoping that greater transparency around tips, optional excursions and additional expenses will make the experience even better for future travellers.
Excellent experience during my travel
Great very enriching expirence with the guide Khalid
Our tour was packed with fun activities and we had a great group and tour guide. Khalid was very helpful with dealing with any issues we had on the trip and gave us a good balance of history and time to explore. This was the best part of our trip to Egypt and I would absolutely recommend Khalid as a good tour guide.
Khaled thank you you are amazon person tour was great bout also thank alot khalef
Keep in mind all activities will run on Egyptian Time... English tour is a bit convoluted but the guide is a very kind man. Unfortunately, it was very busy so the group had to be split between 3 boats. The boat crew was so lovely! Think carefully about which tour you'd like to go on, as they start as early as 4am! You will have a great time and meet lively people, just take it slowly and don't expect it to run on Swiss times!
Good fun; and some fantastic, temples. You'll have a great time if you go with the relaxed flow and egyptian time. If you're happy with that 5 stars if you're not, it's still good. Only down side some every early starts but you do get to see the lot. We slept through Edfu, but the rest was good. The boat was nice, excellent value for money and the boat crew was brilliant.
King Mina was an excellent guide! He is very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and is currently doing his PhD in the subject. His explanations were engaging, and his helpful tips made our experience much better. However, the travel company could improve its communication. No details about the cruise ship were provided in advance, and the ship was a bit worn out with a small cabin. Additional charges, especially the fixed tipping fee of USD 10 per person per day, were also not clearly communicated beforehand. Another downside was the schedule. We had to wake up around 3:30 am every day to catch the excursions, which made the trip quite exhausting. A more relaxed itinerary would greatly improve the overall experience. Overall, King Mina was a highlight of the trip, but better transparency and a less exhausting schedule would make this cruise much more enjoyable.
King Mina is a great guide, very knowledgeable, helpful and well organised. He explained everything very clearly and gave good recommendations. We had a great time on our 4 days cruise
We had an unforgettable experience on the Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor, much thanks to our wonderful guide Talaat Abdo! He provided the perfect mix of historical and modern information which helped me enjoy the awesome places we visited. I especially appreciate Talaat’s attention to details and how he handled all the logistics with ease and efficiency. He provided a welcoming atmosphere throughout and allowed us time to explore and enjoy the marvelous locations. His deep knowledge and expertise made this an amazing first Nile cruise for me.
We booked through GoToursEgypt and it was a mixed experience. The cruise we were going on was apparently overbooked and we got sent to another cruise while still remaining with the same tour group as the other ship. It caused a lot of uncertainty and stress, being late for the ship departure and late for dinners. We got different tour guides for every stop, most of them good. King_Mena tried his best to coordinate, and we got where we were supposed to go. Impressed by the coordination of the tour guide although the circumstance was unfavorable for us as guests. All in all I would recommend a Nile Cruise because it’s a worthwhile experience for the money, the cruise ship was great and its staff tried their best to solve the situation for us, but lackluster information, stressful moments and we felt left out on the whole experience since our tour group was different from our cruise. I also don’t like sending us to expensive tourist trap restaurant in the end with mediocre food for 2x the price of a local experience. If you are on the last day, bring some food so you don’t have to eat there because we had a 7 hours itinerary without lunch and had to eat there since we were starving.
Taalat was an excellent guide! Funny, informative, punctual, and professional. He went above and beyond and truly made this experience incredible. I highly recommend him!
This was a great experience. The stay was very comfortable and the tours were very well planned and organized. The tour guide Talaat made it a memorable tour with his extraordinary knowledge, courtesy, humor and friendliness. He kept us updated and informed on all steps.
Taalat!! Taalat!! Talaat!! What a great guide!! He made jokes, explained Egyptian history in an engaging way, and was considerate of the different needs of people in our group (languages, accessibility, etc.). He also handled all the admission fees up front so we didn’t have to wait in line for tickets, which I was very grateful for. Our 4-day, 3-night cruise and tour was a great experience!
Our Boat, the Lady Mary, was really nice, modern and comfortable. The food was tasty and the crew was very friendly. The itinerary is tight, you get to see a lot, but there is also some time to chill. Talaat was our guide, was well organized and gave us a lot of information about the temples. Overall was a great experience, I would recommend it.
Great guide and we got to see a lot of sights. In terms of the organisation of the tour, I did not enjoy the stops at the perfume shop, crystal shop or spices/tea shop. At the crystal shop, the goods were not legit (e.g. we were told that some of the items were made from lapis lazuli etc. but it was actually resin). Also, on the last day, the lunch isn't covered and we were taken to a restaurant that was poor quality and expensive. However, I do understand that the tour company needs to make commission. If you are looking for a cruise, it is a good tour but some of the extras are marked up (the hot air balloon ride is $100 through the tour, but you can get it for €55 if you organise it yourself). I think I'm not really suited for a cruise as there is a lot of downtime, especially on the day you are waiting to go through Esna Lock.
Thank you King Mina because of you we saw so much of Egypt. Thank you for your help guiding us with your knowledge of this beautiful history.
Beautiful country The service ,guide was so helpful Would recomme
Just back from Egypt and so thankful to have had Egyptologist Talaat Abdo as our guide on the Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor. He happily shared his vast knowledge with us at each site in a friendly and engaging manner. I would gladly tour with him again!
We’ve had an amazing time on our Nile cruise. Our guide, Mina, was fantastic. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us very warmly, and throughout the tour, he was really professional, attentive, and always treated us like family. You can really tell he loves what he does, and that made the experience so much more enjoyable. The cruise staff was also really friendly and welcoming. Being on the cruise while watching all the scenery was really beautiful. I just couldn’t believe we were actually there, cruising the Nile! I loved every temple we visited and every experience we had, but one of my highlights was visiting the Nubian village and our motorcycle ride. It was really insane! I loved it. I highly recommend it!
We had an amazing time. The food was good, (except for the “breakfast box” they give you to go, those are really bad) the tours were all really well organized and our guide Mina was great. I would 100% recommend this.
Talaat was full of interesting information but kept things fun and entertaining. As 4 women traveling on our own, we appreciated that he was always looking out for us and making sure were comfortable and knew what was going on.
Talaat provided a very thorough and enjoyable tour. I would recommend booking him. He was very efficient and knowledgeable.
The food was absolutely fantastic, all you can eat buffet with lots of variety & wonderful salads. The cabins were clean & comfortable. All the staff on the boat were friendly & wonderful. The 4 day itinerary really packed in a lot in a short period of time which was great for us, as we only had a short time in Egypt. Some travellers may wish to choose a more relaxed itinerary if this is your priority, but for us it was a good balance. Mina was a great tour guide, very enthusiastic and personable & with good knowledge of the historical sites. The one thing we would change was on the last day we only spent 45 minutes in the valley of the kings and then spent 45 minutes in an alabaster gift shop. This was a fun experience but wasn't on the itinerary, and some of the items of dubious authenticity, we would have preferred to spend that extra time in the valley of the kings. Overall had a great time & would definitely recommend!
Great experience and totally worth the money. I would highly recommend not missing out on the hot air balloon ride, one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Our guide Mina was outstanding. Very helpful and always willing to answer all our questions, he kept everything smooth at the different sites and was always caring for the group.
We had a wonderful experience exploring Aswan and Luxor, including the excursion to Abu Simbel, and our guide made the whole trip even more enjoyable. He was extremely kind, helpful, and attentive throughout the entire experience, always ready to assist us and make sure everything went smoothly. He was also very knowledgeable about the history of all the places we visited and shared many interesting anecdotes that made the visits much more engaging and memorable. Visiting Egypt in October was also a great choice, as the weather was warm but not excessively hot, making the excursions much more enjoyable. Overall, we highly recommend him as a guide. His professionalism, kindness, and passion for Egyptian history really made a difference in our trip!
Fantastic guide for our visits to Aswan, Luxor, and the temples during our Nile cruise! Friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to answer. The explanations made every visit more interesting and memorable. We would definitely recommend this guide to friends!
We had a wonderful experience on our Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor. We visited many beautiful and impressive temples, and the whole journey was made even more enjoyable by our excellent guide, Mina. Mina was very knowledgeable, friendly and always available to answer our questions. He explained the history and culture of each place in an interesting and easy-to-understand way, making every visit much more meaningful. He also added some special experiences to our trip, including visits to local spice shops and an alabaster sculpture workshop, which gave us the opportunity to discover more about Egyptian traditions and local craftsmanship. We also highly recommend the optional experience in Nubian Valley. It was a great addition to the cruise and allowed us to see a different and very authentic side of Egypt. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this Nile cruise, especially thanks to Mina, who made the experience truly special!
Mina was simply the best. The tour was extraordinary from start to finish. From his thorough explanations to the unreal sightseeing. Egypt it’s a magical place and seeing it with a guide that is not only knowledgeable but sweet, was the best experience ever. His positive attitude and passion really shine through. I cannot recommend King Mina enough! Everything was very smooth, it was intense but the organization was exceptional. The cruise, Queen Sheba, was great. It’s a bit old but carries the Egyptian charm and the food was delicious. Every day we would start our days between 3:30 and 4:30am, which is a bit too early but in order to see everything and to avoid big crowds, it was necessary. Plus, the Egyptian sunrise is uncanny. Egyptian people are lovely. You just need to know that you would have to tip for literally everything. It’s just part of the culture but for the most part, they are very respectful. I can say this trip has been the best organized I’ve ever been in. Egypt is a must and I’m definitely coming back!
We booked the 3 days 4 nights cruise and our guide Khaled was superb. Very kind and knowledgeable, gave us a great tour about Ancient Egypt.
Our guide Khaled was extremely helpful and fulfilled all our requests. Took very good care of us
Khaled is a great tour guide! He is friendly and takes care of his group, he also knows a lot about the history of Egypt and loves to answer questions we had. So 5/5 for Khaled! Then the boat: it was OK but not the best boat compared to the ones you walk on to get to your own boat. It seemed a bit outdated and the rooms smelled a bit off. So for sure I would have liked a more modern boat. Then the organization: the information is all very last minute, so we were a bit in the dark until a few days before. Also only then did we find out every tour starts in the middle of the night; around 03:00 you have to get up. I had a more relaxed schedule in mind. Then the thing that bugged me the most; we had to cut time at certain visits (like Karnak, which was amazing and I could have spent hours there). If there was a solid reason I’m all understanding, but in a lot of cases it was just so we could visit a tourist trap somewhere nearby. A herb/spice shop or a stonemason shop, which all were obvious tourist traps and overcharged visitors. We didn’t participate, but we wasted good time there which could have been spent at the beautiful historical locations. So in short; we loved the knowledge of our guide and we loved the actual visits (a lot!). Planning, time management, boat comfort and tourist traps were a letdown. So overal we’re happy but definitely room for improvement.
The boat was old and definitely not luxurious, but the cabin was comfortable. The food was OK. The staff was very friendly. The program was quite messy and many things could be easily improved such as temple planning visits - half of the time we were in a rush to meet the schedule and had to almost run through the temple to make it on time - the other half was full of fluff and squeezed in tourist traps which I would have gladly skipped to be able to sleep in vs waking up at 3 am… the guide Khalid was overall friendly and tried to accommodate everyone’s planning, but he did have an agenda and was quite pushy for leaving a good review which I didn’t appreciate. Yet overall it was a positive experience.
We had an excellent trip , honestly, one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Our guide, King Mina, was fantastic. He was always attentive, friendly, and eager to share explanations and fascinating historical facts throughout the entire trip. The itinerary is quite intense and the mornings start very early, but it is absolutely worth it, especially if it’s your first time visiting these incredible places. We were able to see and experience so much, and everything was perfectly organised from start to finish. Keep in mind that the admissions nor the tips are included in the price so it’s something to think extra in terms of budget. The whole experience was very professional, well planned, and, most importantly, always delivered with a smile. Highly recommended! A truly unforgettable experience. Thank you King Mina for everything.
We had a wonderful experience on our Nile cruise with our guide, Khaled El Saady. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and made the history and stories of ancient Egypt easy and interesting to understand. He also took the time to answer all our questions and made sure we were comfortable throughout the tour. Khaled was professional, attentive, and clearly passionate about Egyptian history. Thanks to him, we got much more out of our Nile cruise and the temples we visited. We would definitely recommend Khaled to anyone looking for a great guide in Egypt.
An excellent first time cruise experience with family. The program was tailor made and perfectly executed. Cruise was very comfortable with great food. Crew was very friendly and helpful. Our guide Mr Khaled al Saadi was very friendly and explained about all the places that we visited. Highly recommended.
Excellent; Mina King is the best guide.
Our guide, Khaled, was very friendly and attentive. We paid for tips and entrance fees for the sites we were visiting right at the start of the trip, and no further payments were requested—meaning there were no surprise costs. Regarding the tour organization, I would have liked more time at the Temple of Edfu, though that wasn't the guide's fault; it was down to the boat's logistics. On the other hand, in Luxor, I think we should have started earlier, as there are so many sites to visit and it ended up feeling very rushed (though the Temple of Karnak was the only place where I felt we really needed more time; the time spent at the other locations was adequate). Overall, I really enjoyed the experience, and the food on the boat was great!
Mida, our guide, was fantastic. The cruise not so good. Wery different than we aspect
We had a whirlwind and amazing time with khaled our guide. He has vast information to share and loves his country. We saw so many amazing places during our cruise and some fun extras (I won’t spoil the surprise but confirm your country’s rules for returning with non-perishable items) The ship we had was fun and food was amazing! Our group that khaled led was an eclectic group from all over the world…and we had a marvelous time in traveling & learning together Would highly recommend. If you are someone who needs lots of details ahead of time this may not be the tour for you. Much information is disseminated night before or day of but all such good stuff
Khaled al saady He is very kind guy and he gave amazing guidance to Egypt history and culture. It's was beautiful culture and village, kings, temple history. Thank you for having us all good time together with you ❤️ 💙 💕 🙏 ♥️
King Mena was the best guide in the worksn
King Mina is wonderful, he is the best
Our guide Mina was amazing! Mina told us that he has 22 years of experience and is currently getting his PHD in all things Egypt. Very knowledgeable and thorough. He made sure no one was ever left behind and knew the answer to any question asked. He made sure we knew where to buy things and where not to, in order for us to get our moneys worth. The boat its self was good but a bit out dated. Everyone on the boat was super kind. I would say you get what you pay for. Also know the tour tickets are $105 USD for all the sight seeing you go to. And the “recommended $10 a day tip” isn’t “recommended” it’s required in cash the first day of the trip for the boat staff, not including our tour guide. Hot air balloon ride is a must! Definitely made the trip and I felt very safe throughout the whole experience. Overall experience 4/5 for the money I paid.
We had an amazing 4-day tour with Mina, and we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide! Mina was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and professional throughout the entire trip. Over the four days, he took us to some incredible historical sites, including the Temple of Philae, Aswan High Dam, Abu Simbel Temple, Kom Ombo Temple, Edfu Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple, the Colossi of Memnon, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple. Mina did an excellent job explaining the history and significance of each site while also making sure we had enough time to explore, take pictures, and enjoy the experience. He was always attentive to our group, answered all of our questions, and made the entire trip feel comfortable and well organized. What really stood out was how passionate Mina was about Egyptian history and how easily he was able to make the history come alive. He was also very accommodating and made sure everything went smoothly from beginning to end. We are extremely grateful to Mina for helping make our trip through Egypt such a memorable experience. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely friendly guide, we highly recommend Mina. Thank you, Mina, for an unforgettable four days!
I did like doing this cruise, I particularly preferred the visites of different temples at the sunrise or sunset to avoid the heat. King Mina, our guide was very helpful, informative and insightful, he knew the history about each visited site and also got good advice for each visited places. Overall, I highly recommend this tour and particularly the experience with King Mina guide.
