4 Days Nile Cruise Aswan To Luxor & Abu Simbel. Hot Air Balloon

We had a great time on our cruise! The boat and all the crew was nice. Be prepared for very early mornings (around 4am) to visit the temples. The real highlight was our guide, King Mina! Passionate, funny, and incredibly kind. He always did his best to help us and make our experience special. Huge thanks to him!

King Mina is the best! He speaks amazing English and explain everything very clearly! He plans the whole trip well and has everything organized l smoothly. He knows what’s to recommend and create a good vibe in the group. Overall I have a great time. The only issue with the tour is the wake up time, which are very early morning for most of the days, but I guess that is a necessity to include all these temples within a short amount of time.

My first trip to Egypt. very hot and different

We had a wonderful 3-night/4-day Nile cruise, and a big part of what made the experience so enjoyable was our excellent guide, Michael Edward. Michael was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and helpful throughout the entire journey. He brought Egypt’s fascinating history and culture to life with his detailed explanations, and he was always happy to answer our questions. His passion for the history and his ability to explain everything clearly made each visit and excursion much more interesting and memorable. He was also incredibly attentive and approachable, making sure that everyone in the group was comfortable, informed, and well looked after. His friendly nature and willingness to help with anything we needed were greatly appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our Nile cruise and would especially like to thank Michael for making it such a memorable experience. We had Michael Edward as our guide during our 4-day Nile cruise, and he was really helpful from start to finish. He clearly knows his history and the places we visited, and he explained things in a way that was interesting and easy to follow. What I appreciated most was that Michael was always there to help with the practical side of the trip as well. He was funny, approachable, patient, and happy to answer questions or give advice whenever we needed it. You could tell he has plenty of experience guiding visitors and knows how to make things run smoothly. Overall, Michael added a lot to our experience and made the cruise more enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and helpful guide in Egypt.

The tour is a very good way to explore the various temples along the river Nile, however it is quite fast paced with early mornings. The boat is nice and in good condition. The buffet is good and there was plenty of options each meal time. My guide, King Mina, was very good and informative. He also made sure that we were able to have enough time at each temple to take photos and explore after recieving our explanation. I would recommend this tour to friends.

I had an absolutely incredible experience in Egypt thanks to our amazing tour guide king Mina! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The explanations were clear, detailed, and super informative. On top of that, our guide was extremely kind and attentive with the entire group, always making sure everyone felt comfortable and included. It was truly an unforgettable journey that I highly recommend! :)

The boat was nice and the room was spacious. There was plenty of food choices for lunch and dinners and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Finally, the guide Khalid was a master in organising itineraries and all the visits. Thanks to him, everything run like clockwork which meant that all the visits were enjoyable and there was still plenty of free time to explore the sites or to just chill on the boat.

Talaat Abdo was our English speaking tour guide. We had a lovely time with him, he answered all our questions and gave us all the information for all the sites we visited.. he's polite helpful and funny too.. thank you for making our experience so memorable.. we highly recommend him for your nile cruise trip..

Excellent cruise ride, great view and amazing guide by Khaled. Prepare your own water as water on board is not complimentary there is no provided tooth brush as well, so bring your own toiletries along.

Very enjoyable trip with our best tour guide KING Mina! The room on the cruise has a good condition, the foods are pretty good. Especially, KING Mina has provided us a lot of interesting egyptian history story and recommended good spots of taking photos. Would like to join the magical trip again!

Our tour guide Mina took great care of us, he was very thorough when explaining the history and significance of the historical sites. He also looked out for our group.

Our guider was Talaat Abdo. He was an incredible guider and helper, I couldn't feel more safe, he was always taking care of the crew and making sure everyone was following him well. He is clearly very skilled, showing expertise in the history of Egypt and making each touristic site more meaningful. His good humor made every moment fun! The guy knows how to crack a good joke! The cruise was nice, good food, nice accommodations, and very kind clerks. The SPA area have good massage, but the place itself is a little old. It would be nice to renew the place. The massage was good, and made my time in the cruise more relaxing.

Talaat is a great guide! Please beware there are additional costs to visit all the temples and for the hot air balloon. However I appreciated how Talaat looked out for our group and always kept us informed! The food is buffet style and there was plenty to eat. I liked having our own table. I liked how Talaat and the crew made sure every detail was taken care of. Everyone was so nice and kind. This was the best vacation EVER!!! Thank you Talaat!!!

Our tour guide Talaat was amazing in coordinating our tours. The room was super clean and had all amenities. Restaurant staff were really friendly and the food was delicious with many varieties.

[ 장점 ] 1. 효율적인 스케줄 - 투어 프로그램마다 방문하는 곳이 조금씩 다른데, 아스완부터 룩소르까지 갈 수 있는 거의 모든 곳들을 다 방문하고, 마지막 일정도 이른 오후에 마무리하는 일정으로 진행됩니다. 2. 저렴함 - Full package 투어 중 가장 저렴한 축에 속합니다. 물론 저렴한 만큼 크루즈 컨디션이 좋은 편은 아닙니다. (보통 한국인들은 deluxe 이상을 예약하는데, 저희가 묵은 Queen Isis 는 Moderate 레벨) 참고로 not include 인 입장료 다 합치면 대충 $100 정도 되고, 체크인 할 때 tip 으로 인당 $30 씩 추가로 냅니다. 모두 카드결제는 가능했지만, 생각보다 추가 비용이 많이 들어요. 3. 깔끔한 의사소통 - 예약 사이트와 다른 점도 없고, 궁금한 점이나 금액 등은 명확히 대답해주십니다. 투어에 신전 방문이 많은데, 몇 개 보다보니 굳이 다 안가도 될 것 같아서 그런 부분은 말씀드리면 쿨하게 입장료 환불해주십니다. (심지어 우리 투어에 있는 미국인 부부도 10-20%는 이해 못하는 것 같았음) 3. 가이드의 독단적인 커뮤니케이션 - 버스의 경우처럼 갑자기 투어하고 있는데 결제하라며 카드 리더기를 들이민다던가, 가이드 편의만 생각하고 고객 입장에서는 당혹스러운 커뮤니케이션 순간들이 있었습니다. 저희는 3명이라 triple room 으로 예약했는데, triple room 이 하나 밖에 없어서 다른 팀에게 배정했더라고요. 근데 그걸 저희에게 묻지 않고, 통보 받아으면서 '너네가 어리니까 이해해~' 라고 했습니다. 그리고 자꾸 저희에게 본인의 역할을 시켜요. whatsapp 으로 다른 게스트에게 연락해보라거나, 물건을 대신 전달해주라거나. 가이드의 역할 아닌가요? 리뷰의 사진도 누군가 저 가방을 차에 두고 내렸는데, 저보고 가져다주라고 하더군요. 저는 투어 다 끝나고 drop off 할 준비 중이었습니다. 내용에서 느끼셨겠지만, 나이 많으신 분들이나 포스 있어보이는 사람들한테는 안 그래요. 본인이 불리하거나 양해 필요할 때는 you are good guy~, friend~ 이러고, 그렇지 않을 때는 막 들이밀고 해서 당황스러웠습니다. 4. 정말 안 좋은 숙소 컨디션 - 저렴한 투어라 예상은 했지만, 생각보다 더 안 좋았습니다. 직원들은 매우 친절했어요. 5. 작고 불편한 버스 - 드라이버와 가이드 포함 12명이었는데, 우리나라 봉고차 같은 12인승 버스를 타고 다녔습니다. 저가 항공사보다 좁은 좌석이라서 남여노소 할 것 없이 엄청나게 끼어 앉아야 하는데, 은근 차 타는 시간이 많아서 매우 불편하고 힘들었습니다. 게다가 가이드가 젊은 사람들이 제일 마지막 구석 자리 (4명이 끼어 타야하는) 앉으라고 지정해줘서 (의견 물어보지 않았음) 더 불편했습니다. 도의적으로 이해되나, 의견도 물어보지 않고 로테이션도 없이 젋은 사람이라고 무조건 구석 자리에 앉는 것은 매우 비합리적이라고 생각합니다. (심지어 저희도 다 30대였는데, 동양인이라 좀 더 어려보였을 뿐)

The cruise started from Aswan. The first day we checked in the cruise ship and after that we visited the high dam and philae temple. Philae temple was 5/5, high dam not really worth visiting. Next day we visited Abu Simbel (5/5) and then the cruise ship departed. We arrived in Kom ombo (night tour, very beautiful) and slept on board. Next morning we visited edfu temple(very beautiful also) and then sailed to Luxor through Esna lock. At late afternoon we arrived at Luxor and had a night tour at Luxor temple! Next day we visited west side of Luxor and in the afternoon we were dropped off to our hotels! The cruise ship (m/s renaissance) was very nice with excellent service, clean rooms and delicious food buffet. Our guide KHALDED EL SAADI was very nice and explained us everything about Egyptian history and temples and did his best to make us happy! The only disadvantage is that as all the cruise ships do the same programs at the same time, so all the temples are super crowded for one hour when all the tourists from the cruise ships visit them and then they are super empty. Overall I would rate the experience as a 5star especially if you need to be stress free and enjoy some free time on board drinking tea or juice and also visit all the historical places.

Our Guide Tata made this an amazing experience. He was great at making the experience very smooth. He planned our days well and because of that maximized the time we had to see the sites and we were able to see them in a non crowded and somewhat comfortable temperature (it's hot!). He spent the whole 4 days with us ensuring we had a great time and experience. He was very knowledgeable about the sites we saw and with Egyptian history.

This is a difficult one to review, as the sights we saw were brilliant, and exceeded our expectations. We are not cruise people, and we were hesitant to do the cruise, but it was a fantastic way, and I think the only way, to adequately and efficiently see the amazing, historic sites between Kom Ombo and Luxor. The evening visits to two sites and the early morning horse and carriage ride into another were just amazing. If you love history, and even if you are not so fussed about it, I think that most people, will be blown away by these incredible sites. If things went wrong, Khalid, the tour organiser, did what he could to keep things on track and make up for them. My two main issues were related to the lack of clarity about the details of the tour on the website, and the lack of an itinerary and communications before and during the cruise. You will need to be aware that when you are picked up on day 1, you do a tour of Philae Temple by car and small boat, and then get taken to the cruise boat early in the afternoon, where the boat sits in dock until 2 pm the next day; before it actually departs. This is, however, quite relaxing and comfortable, as the top deck has a pool and multiple loungers and chairs to chill on. There is also a lounge and bar on board, where you can also get a coffee. The bottled water on the boat is very expensive, but you can buy large, cheap bottles from vendors on the street adjacent to where the boat is docked, when you first arrive. The tour to Abu Simbel, (that is mentioned on the website), is NOT part of your private (Nile Cruise) tour. This is not clear at all. You can only do this as an EXTRA private tour which leaves at 4am on day 2 of the ‘cruise’, and travels by car and back in time for the boat to actually leave port. Anyone who doesn’t do the 4am tour has to stay on the boat for 24 hours waiting for the others. We actually organised a very good private tour to Abu Simbel with another company the day before we were picked up for the cruise. It departed at 9am in a very comfortable car, and was actually cheaper than the one offered by this group. If you have the time, I would recommend doing it this way. Aida, who took us on the Philae tour on day one, was very good. She had lots of information about the temple and the region, as well as some entertaining insights. Other tour guides we had in other locations were also good. English is a second or third or even fourth language for some of the guides, so you may encounter need some minor clarifications due to this and differing accents of both guide and guest. During the cruise, we had to ask reception on the boat what time we were arriving at the different docks on the way, and whether we were getting off or not; as there was no itinerary displayed on the boat, (contrary to what we were told) and some people had land tours that we did not. We were given no information about any of this by Egypt Best Holidays. The food on the cruise was pretty good considering it was buffets for every meal. The cabin was bigger than expected, and we had a huge window to watch the scenery go by. Booking as a couple, we expected a double bed, but we had two singles. This may be standard on boats like this? I would strongly recommend a Nile River cruise to see the sights along the Nile, but you may want to check the detailed itinerary first.

It was all really easy. There was always someone messaging me to tell me what was happening. It was a smooth budget trip. We had a tour guide in Aswan Mina, and another in Luxor, Khaled Alsaady. We had a great time with both guides. Mina in Aswan was very knowledgeable about the Nubian people, the relocation of people from Lake Nassr. Our boat crew on the Shams was also great. Mohammed and Mohammed Ali in the cafe were so sweet. Then in Luxor Khaled treated us like family. He took us around the archeological sites that he used to work at. He was authentic and so knowledgeable about all things related to the sites. I had a great 4 days 3 nights overall. The trip was a value and honest when it came to inclusions.

Talaat Abdo was our tour guide and is English speaking. He is an excellent guide and very knowledgeable! He knows so much about Egypt history and the pharaohs/hieroglyphics and can tell you what they mean/their significance. Talaat is very friendly and approachable and is like a friend. He is very passionate about Egyptian history and it comes across in his story telling. Talaat also has so many facts about Egypt, we learned so much! We had a private tour to the different sites which was great. On the last day we visited the Valley of the Kings and Talaat recommended the different tombs we should go to based on what we were looking for and they were fantastic!! Absolutely amazing! I would thoroughly recommend!

We enjoyed our trip with the wonderful crew of the Magic1! Our private tour guides Mina and Mahmoud were very knowledgeable and easy-going. The crew of the ship also arrange a beautiful birthday surprise and cake. If you plan on travelling through Egypt for a couple of weeks this is a very good addition to your schedule!

The cruise makes seeing all the highlights of Egypt easy! Our tour guide Khaled made sure we were always taken care of and gave amazing tours (he is a professional egyptologist!) Be ready for some early mornings and action packed days. However everything extra is paid in cash - make sure to bring plenty and budget accordingly or you will be scrambling for an ATM on the last day.

Had a lovely trip. Our guide, Khaled Elsaady, made a great program for us and was always ready with explanations and answers everywhere we went. It was our first time in Luxor and Aswan and thanks to Khaled it will not be the last.

Dear concerned department, Very un fortunately I could not go to Abu Simbel due to my cronic pain on my lower back on the day 2 supposed to there in the end I couldn't make it. I really appreciate our guide Khalid his kindness insight sense that in such experience full of knowledges and everybody is content by unique skill as one of the top cruising guide.

Everything was fantastic! The boat was clean and comfortable, staterooms were larger than expected (smaller than a regular hotel but larger than most cruises I'm familiar with). The top deck was amazing- lots of comfortable chairs to lounge in and watch the Nile drift by. The food itself was good, nothing extreme but a lot of variety and served buffet style so you could always find something to enjoy. But the service was phenomenal. The head server remembered our names and greeted us every day with a huge smile (Thanks Mahmoud!!) And the bartender (Ahmed) made a fantastic lemon mojito. Just as a heads up, drinks (including water and tea) are not included in the fare, although a large bottle of water is about a dollar fifty, with a dual coffee service being a lot 3. Also of note, at check out a tip is expected for 5-10 dollars per guest per day. Finally, the excursions / tours; a clean and comfortable van was provided at each location, excepting a horse and buggy ride at edfu, and the temple at kom ombu where the boat literally docked at the entrance. Outings started very early, as there was a lot to do and, being October, temperatures were fairly high. Some of the tours were a bit rushed, due to the amount to be scene and the boat's sailing schedule, but I never left a place feeling like I missed out on anything. The tour guides all seemed great, but ours was definitely the best. Michael Samy is exceptionally knowledgeable, with a great sense of humor, passion for the subject and very polished hospitality skills. We had a free morning and last minute decided to take a felucca ride around Aswan. We let Mike know and 30 minutes later his friend sails up to take us around Elephantine island. He handled questions on the tours very well, and would spend sailing time on the weather deck with us chatting about Egypt, modern and ancient. He has also helped us arrange for our plans in Giza after the cruise is over. This cruise was the highlight of my stay in Egypt and I highly highly recommend this cruise to everyone.

There’s so much I can say about this tour but I’ll try to keep it simple. Our tour guide Hany was absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond to help us from lost passports to lost phones. On top of that he was very educated and knew the history behind each temple and site and could answer any of our questions - at least the logical questions where the answer would be “aliens” - but beside the point, we were so fortunate to have him with us. He constantly made sure we were all happy with how the tour was going and checking up on us. The tour itself was jam packed and we saw everything we wanted to see on our list and then some! The Nile cruise ship was beautiful and the staff were amazing as well! The food was delicious on the buffet style dinings. The rooms were clean and spacious and the top deck had a pool and just drinking a glass of wine underneath the stars while cruising down the Nile sounds dreamy enough and it absolutely was! Definitely opt in to do the hot air balloon ride over the valley of the kings and the trip to Abu Simbel. You won’t be disappointed and you won’t regret it!
