Day 3

Early in the morning, a visit is made to Edfu Temple, which is considered one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. About the temple: Edfu Temple is one of the most beautiful and complete surviving ancient Egyptian temples. It was built during the Ptolemaic period under the reign of Ptolemy III, and its construction continued for several decades. The temple is dedicated to the god Horus, the sky god often depicted as a falcon, symbolizing power and protection. The walls of the temple are covered with detailed carvings illustrating the mythological battle between Horus and his uncle Set, one of the most important stories in ancient Egyptian religion.
After completing the visit to Edfu Temple, the cruise sails toward Luxor, passing through the Esna Lock. During the journey, you can enjoy the sailing experience and watch the fascinating rise and fall of the water levels as the cruise passes through the lock.
The cruise will arrive in Luxor in the evening, followed by a visit to Luxor Temple to enjoy its stunning beauty under the magical night lighting. About the temple: Luxor Temple is one of the most remarkable ancient monuments in Egypt. It was built during the New Kingdom, beginning under the reign of Amenhotep III and later completed by Ramesses II. The temple was dedicated to the god Amun, along with his consort Mut and their son Khonsu, forming the Theban Triad. The temple is distinguished by its massive entrance pylon, towering obelisk, spacious courtyards, and the Avenue of Sphinxes that once connected it to Karnak Temple. At night, the temple takes on a special charm, as the lighting beautifully highlights its intricate carvings and grand columns, creating an unforgettable experience.
Day 4
4
After breakfast, you will complete the check-out procedures from the cruise. Then you will head to the West Bank of Luxor to visit Valley of the Kings and explore the royal tombs. You will have the right to choose 3 tombs from those included in the standard entry ticket. There are also additional tombs available, which require an extra ticket purchased on-site during the visit. About the site: The Valley of the Kings is one of the most important archaeological sites in Egypt. It served as the royal burial ground for the pharaohs of the New Kingdom, including famous rulers such as Tutankhamun and Ramesses II. The valley contains dozens of richly decorated tombs carved deep into the limestone mountains, filled with colorful inscriptions, religious texts, and scenes depicting the journey to the afterlife. It reflects the ancient Egyptians’ strong beliefs about resurrection and eternal life, making it one of the most fascinating sites in the world.
After finishing the visit to Valley of the Kings, you will head to visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and enjoy its remarkable beauty. You will then visit Temple of Hatshepsut. About the temple: The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut is one of the most unique and elegant monuments in ancient Egypt. It was built during the 18th Dynasty by the famous female pharaoh Hatshepsut at the site of Deir el-Bahari on the West Bank of Luxor. The temple is designed in a series of terraces rising against the cliffs, creating a stunning harmony between architecture and natural landscape. It was dedicated to the god Amun and served both religious and funerary purposes. The temple is considered a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture and one of the most beautiful monuments on the West Bank of Luxor.
After finishing the visit to Temple of Hatshepsut, you will head to visit Colossi of Memnon. About it: The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues and one of the most famous landmarks in Luxor. They represent the pharaoh Amenhotep III seated on his throne. The statues originally stood at the entrance of a huge mortuary temple built for Amenhotep III, of which only these two statues remain today. Each statue is about 18 meters high. The name “Memnon” comes from Greek legend, as the Greeks believed that one of the statues emitted mysterious sounds at sunrise, giving the site a mythical reputation throughout history. Today, the Colossi of Memnon are an important tourist stop on the West Bank of Luxor, admired for their historical significance and impressive scale.
The tour guide will pick you up for an amazing visit to the magnificent Karnak Temple which is an ancient Egyptian complex of temples and other structures at Thebes, regarded as the greatest example of Pharaonic architecture in Egypt and a beloved tourist attraction.
