We were a couple and we chose the Movenpick ship because we wanted a bit of luxury. The trip from Aswan to Luxor was smooth. Our driver Hassan was waiting for us and he was very kind. The ship was beautiful with a nice pool and a spa. The room was spacious and the bed was huge. The guide Ahmed was good but sometimes he spoke too fast. The Abu Simbel temple was the highlight for me. It is a long drive but worth every minute. The Kom Ombo Temple was interesting with the crocodile mummies. The Edfu Temple was also nice. The food on the ship was excellent. Lots of variety and the desserts were amazing. The staff were attentive and the service was top notch. The crowd was a bit older but that was fine for us. Best for couples who want a relaxed and luxurious experience. The only thing I would change is the early wake up calls but you get used to it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see the Nile in style.

Upon arrival at the iconic site, our tour guide will be ready to guide you through the magnificent Abu Simbel Temple, known for its colossal statues and intricate carvings. After the tour, you'll be transferred to your cruise, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch while soaking in the breathtaking natural scenery as the cruise begins its journey."
"After enjoying a delicious lunch aboard the cruise, the ship will set sail toward Kom Ombo. Upon reaching the picturesque town, our expert tour guide will accompany you on a fascinating tour of the unique Kom Ombo Temple, known for its double dedication to the gods Sobek and Horus. You’ll have the chance to explore the temple’s intricate carvings and ancient architecture before heading back to the ship to continue your serene journey along the Nile."
Day 2
2
"Upon the cruise's arrival at Edfu between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, our knowledgeable tour guide will be waiting for you in the lobby of the ship, ready to accompany you on a memorable excursion. You’ll then take a traditional horse-drawn carriage to the magnificent Edfu Temple, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. During the guided tour, you’ll explore the temple’s well-preserved sanctuaries and halls, gaining insight into its historical and religious significance. Afterward, you’ll return to the cruise to continue your adventure along the Nile."
Day 3
3
"After enjoying a hearty breakfast, it's time to check out from the cruise and have your bags ready in the lobby for departure. Our friendly driver will be waiting to pick you up from the Nile cruise, and together with our expert tour guide, you'll begin a fascinating day tour of Luxor in a comfortable, air-conditioned car. Your first destination will be the West Bank of Luxor, renowned for its ancient treasures. Here, you'll explore the world-famous Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt's pharaohs. You'll have the chance to enter three different tombs, each adorned with vivid murals and hieroglyphs that tell the stories of the rulers they once honored, offering a captivating glimpse into Egypt’s rich history."
Next, you will visit the magnificent Temple of Hatshepsut, a structure dedicated to one of Egypt’s most iconic female pharaohs. This stunning mortuary temple, nestled dramatically against the towering cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, is a testament to the architectural brilliance of the time. As you explore its terraces and colonnades, you’ll gain insight into the grandeur of Hatshepsut’s reign, a period marked by prosperity, impressive building projects, and the pharaoh’s bold claim to power. The temple’s intricate carvings and well-preserved reliefs offer a fascinating glimpse into her legacy and the religious significance of the site."
"After you visit Hatshepsut’s Temple, your tour will continue to the famous Colossi of Memnon. These two towering stone statues, standing at nearly 18 meters high, represent Pharaoh Amenhotep III and once guarded the entrance to his grand mortuary temple. Although much of the temple has been lost to time, the Colossi remains an enduring symbol of ancient Egyptian grandeur. As you stand before these impressive statues, you’ll learn about their fascinating history, including the mysterious sounds they were said to produce in ancient times, which led to their association with the legendary Greek hero, Memnon."
After crossing to the East Bank, your tour will begin at the majestic Karnak Temple, a colossal complex that stands as one of the largest and most impressive religious structures ever built. Dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, Karnak Temple offers a stunning array of architectural marvels. As you wander through its vast precincts, you’ll encounter towering columns adorned with intricate hieroglyphs, a serene sacred lake used for ritual purification, and the renowned Hypostyle Hall, whose forest of giant columns creates a breathtaking and awe-inspiring atmosphere. Each corner of Karnak Temple reveals layers of ancient history and divine worship, making it a highlight of any visit to Luxor."
Finally, your tour will lead you to Luxor Temple, a magnificent site initially constructed by Amenhotep III and later completed by Ramses II. Located near the Nile River, this temple was dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship and the veneration of the sun god Amun-Ra. As you explore its grand halls and elegant colonnades, you'll witness the temple's rich historical significance and architectural beauty.

We were a group of friends and we took the Amwaj ship. We are all history buffs so this trip was perfect. The guide Ahmed was a treasure. He knew everything about the temples and the pharaohs. The Abu Simbel was breathtaking. The Kom Ombo Temple was unique because of the dual design. The Edfu Temple was well preserved. The food on the ship was tasty and there was plenty of it. The staff were great and the service was fast. The rooms were small but we only slept there. The atmosphere was fun and we made friends with other travelers. The crowd was not too big. Best for friends who love history and want a fun time. The only thing we missed was a bit more time at each site but we understand the schedule. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to see the real Egypt. Thanks to the crew for a great time.
I went solo on the Le Fayan ship. I wanted to see the Nile and I was not disappointed. The driver Hussein picked me up and he was very nice. The ship was cozy and the staff were like family. The guide Ahmed was knowledgeable and patient. The Abu Simbel was a dream come true. The Kom Ombo Temple was nice. The Edfu Temple was impressive. The food was good and I loved the Egyptian breakfast. The room was small but clean. The atmosphere was peaceful. The crowd was small so I could really enjoy the sites. Best for solo travelers who want peace and history. The only thing I would say is that the admission fees are not included but that is normal for Egypt. I would do it again. The sunsets on the Nile are something else. I took so many photos. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to disconnect and learn something new.

Sailing from Aswan to Luxor over three days turned out to be the calmest part of the whole trip. The boat was clean and comfortable, with a sun deck that became the favourite spot for watching palm trees and desert cliffs slide past. The cabin was compact but well kept, the food was varied and tasty, and the staff were friendly throughout. Stops at Philae, Kom Ombo, and Edfu were well timed, and the guide explained the carvings in clear, engaging English. Arriving in Luxor relaxed rather than exhausted made the whole experience worthwhile. A smooth, well-paced way to travel between the two cities.

I went with my family on the Soliel ship. We had a great time. The driver Hassan was very helpful. The ship was nice and the rooms were clean. The guide Ahmed was good with the kids. The Abu Simbel was amazing. The Kom Ombo Temple was interesting. The Edfu Temple was nice. The food was good and the staff were friendly. The crowd was a bit big at some sites but manageable. The sun deck was great for relaxing. I recommend this to any family who wants to see Egypt without too much stress. The guide Ahmed was very patient with all the questions. We learned a lot.
This 3-day, 2-night cruise from Aswan to Luxor offered the perfect balance of sightseeing and rest. Days began with temple visits — Philae, Kom Ombo, and Edfu — each explained by a knowledgeable guide who never rushed the group. Afternoons were spent on the sun deck, sipping tea while palm groves and desert cliffs slid past. The cabin was tidy and quiet, the staff friendly and attentive, and the food surprisingly varied for a boat kitchen. Everything was organized from pickup in Aswan to drop-off in Luxor. A smooth, stress-free way to travel between the two cities.
The timing of this itinerary is one of its strengths. Philae Temple, reached by boat, is at its most beautiful in the late afternoon light, and Kom Ombo, lit up after dark, has an atmosphere no daytime visit can match. Edfu the following morning was quiet and cool, and we arrived in Luxor with enough energy left to enjoy the West Bank. Our guide was knowledgeable and unhurried, and the crew looked after us well throughout. A well-paced introduction to the Nile.

An incredible 4-day journey from Aswan to Luxor! Cruising the Nile is the best way to experience Egypt's ancient history. The Highlights: Breathtaking riverside views, immaculate temples (Philae, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Luxor), and a super knowledgeable guide who brought history to life. The boat was clean and comfortable, and the crew provided warm, top-notch hospitality with delicious food throughout. It perfectly blends relaxation with incredible sightseeing. Highly recommended!
A fantastic experience—the staff on the ship were very friendly, the food was better than average compared to local restaurants, and the cabin was excellent. Unfortunately, we never met the people from the tour operator in person; we only communicated with them via WhatsApp, and they didn’t stand out for their friendliness or attention to detail (information about the stops and changes to the scheduling always arrived just a few hours in advance, or even only upon request). That aside, the local guides were exceptional. Fatma, in Edfu, was kind, patient, and knowledgeable; Essra, in Luxor, was a cheerful presence and extremely attentive to our needs, as well as knowledgeable and punctual. If you’re willing to overlook a few minor organizational glitches (nothing that really detracts from the experience), the cruise comes highly recommended.
I joined as a solo traveler and ended up making great friends. The experience is very social if you want it to be. The admission fee is clear, no surprises. The length of visit is perfect for forming travel friendships. The atmosphere is open and welcoming. Crowd size is intimate enough to recognize people. The staff encouraged socializing with group tables. Best for sociable solo travelers. The guide acted as a social catalyst, introducing people during tours. At Abu Simbel, he gathered us for a group photo, breaking the ice. My quick story is about a group of us from the cruise exploring a Luxor market together on the last afternoon. We felt safe and had a lot of laughs. The ship's social areas are designed for interaction. The evenings were spent sharing stories and travel tips with people from around the world. It felt more like a community than a standard tour. I never felt like the odd one out. A fantastic way to travel alone but not be lonely.
We are a couple who loves adventure but also comfort, and this nailed it. The experience balances exploration with luxury perfectly. The admission fee gets you the best of both worlds. The length of visit packs in adventure without skimping on relaxation. The atmosphere is adventurous yet refined. Crowd size was active but not rowdy. The staff supported our adventurous spirit. Best for active couples. Our guide had an adventurous streak too. He took us to a lesser-known vantage point to view the Valley of the Kings, which was amazing. Our little adventure was renting bicycles in Edfu town before the temple visit, just to explore a bit on our own. The ship was our comfortable haven to return to.The thrill of discovering a tomb in the morning and then lounging by the pool in the afternoon is a perfect combo. The food was hearty and welcome after active days. It was our ideal kind of holiday.
Our startup team took this cruise to celebrate a launch and bond. The experience is great for team celebration and morale. The admission fee was a worthwhile team reward. The length of visit was a perfect celebratory getaway. The atmosphere is upbeat and congratulatory. Crowd size added to the festive feel. The staff helped us celebrate. Best for team celebrations or milestone rewards. The guide got into our celebratory spirit, even giving a short speech at Karnak linking ancient achievements to our modern one. A hilarious team bonding moment was a spontaneous photo challenge we had at each temple, creating silly historical reenactments. The ship's bar became our celebration hub in the evenings. The all-inclusive aspect meant no one was worrying about the bill. It strengthened our team dynamic in a fun, unique setting. We returned even more motivated and connected. A brilliant team reward trip.
We booked a cabin with a private balcony and it made all the difference. The experience feels more exclusive and private. The admission fee for the balcony upgrade was worth it for us. The length of visit is enhanced by having your own outdoor space. The atmosphere is more intimate when you can retreat to your balcony. Crowd size matters less when you have your own front-row seat. The staff delivered room service to our balcony once, which was lovely. Best for couples or anyone wanting extra privacy. The guide's stories were great, but so was private time. Our best moment was ordering a pot of Egyptian tea to our balcony at sunset. No one else around, just the sound of the water. The ship sailed past a riverside village, and we watched daily life unfold from our private box seats. The cabin itself was spacious. That balcony transformed the trip from a tour into a personal voyage.Highly recommend the splurge.
We have three kids under 10, and the crew made it work. The experience can be family-friendly even with little ones. The admission fee for kids was low. The length of visit was manageable with planned breaks. The atmosphere on the ship was accepting of family noise. Crowd size included other understanding parents. The staff were heroes, entertaining the kids during meals. Best for families with young children who are flexible. The guide kept his talks short and vivid when the kids were around, focusing on animal carvings and big statues. A sweet moment was a crew member showing my youngest how to fold a napkin into a bird at dinner. The ship wasn't a playground, but the pool and space to run on deck helped. We skipped one temple trip for nap time, and it was fine. It's not a dedicated kids' cruise, but with a positive attitude and helpful staff, a memorable family trip is possible.
It was a truly stunning experience throughout. Communication was very interactive. The local tourguides in Kom Ombo (Fatma) and Edfu were really great, the driver to Abu Simbel from Aswan was super professional. We had a great experience on the cruiseship Ciela. We thank the tour organizers for taking such good care pf us 🙏
I joined to sketch and paint the landscapes, and it was endlessly inspiring. The experience is a moving panorama for an artist. The admission fee gets you to pristine viewpoints. The length of visit allowed me to fill a sketchbook. The atmosphere is quietly inspiring. Crowd size was no issue, I always found a perch. The staff never questioned my easel. Best for artists or creative solo travelers. The guide appreciated my focus and once pointed out a perfect composition of the ship against the cliffs of Edfu. My most productive session was early morning on the West Bank, sketching the Theban hills before the heat and crowds arrived. The ship provided a stable platform to work from. The light on the Nile is constantly changing, offering new challenges. It was a working holiday that fed my creativity. I came home with a portfolio of work and a full heart.
We are foodie travelers, and the culinary aspect surprised us. The experience includes a genuine taste of Egypt. The admission fee covers all meals, which were varied. The length of visit allowed us to try many dishes. The atmosphere at dinner was a nice social food experience. Crowd size meant buffet lines moved fast. The staff and chefs were happy to explain dishes. Best for couples or friends who enjoy food and culture. The guide gave us recommendations for local food to try in the markets. A food highlight was the onboard Egyptian night, with a massive spread of traditional mezze, grilled meats, and desserts. We tried everything. The ship's chefs were talented. The mix of international and local cuisine was well-balanced. Pairing great food with incredible views every day elevated the whole experience. Don't underestimate the meals on this cruise.
Grandparents, parents, and grandkids—three generations had a fantastic time. The experience creates shared memories across ages. The admission fee with family discounts helped. The length of visit was just right for the grandparents' stamina. The atmosphere was inclusive and happy for our whole clan. Crowd size was diverse, so we blended in. The staff treated my parents like royalty. Best for large, multi-generational family trips. The guide was a pro, making sure the stories reached the youngest and fascinated the oldest. A priceless memory is my 70-year-old mother and my 7-year-old daughter holding hands, wide-eyed, inside a tomb in the Valley of the Kings. The ship accommodated our need for adjoining cabins. The buffet meant everyone ate what they wanted when they wanted. It was a holiday that strengthened our family bonds in an incredible setting. Worth every penny.
I used this trip as a digital detox and to read, and it was perfect. The experience allows for deep, uninterrupted relaxation. The admission fee buys you peace. The length of visit is a solid break from connectivity. The atmosphere is serene and distraction-free. Crowd size is calm. The staff are quiet and efficient. Best for solo travelers wanting to unplug and reflect. The guide's talks were my only scheduled "input," which was a nice balance. I read four books, mostly on the sundeck, with the Nile as my view. My most relaxed state was in a deck chair after Edfu, book in lap, just dozing as the world floated by. The ship has areas with no music, just nature's sounds. The cabin had no TV on, just the window. It was a complete mental reset. I returned home feeling genuinely rested and enriched, not just toured-out.
It was a good experience, we received everything we payed for, the cruise was nice, clean and the food was good. Just have tons of patience, because not everything is 100% confirmed until the last minute, but I guess this is the vibe in general in here.
I definitely enjoyed the Nile cruise. First time at a cruise and it was very comfortable, relaxing and clean. The food was great. The staff from the boat great, as well. Mahmoud and Chef Mahmoud (same name) from the restaurant did fantastic. Goda my waiter (spelling may be wrong) very polite and service oriented. Tea times in the afternoon, at the boat deck, was perfect. My guides for the sites could improve, but not real complaints. My tour coordinator Enjy was always attentive and making sure things were working well. The sites we visited were incredible. A great selection of sites. The last day in Luxor, it was quite demanding, specially because I scheduled the balloon ride in the morning (pick up at 4:45 AM). So, by the time we finished visiting the sites on the last day, I was exhausted and hungry. By the way, our balloon ride was cancelled due to weather. At the end of the day, we had an incredible experience. I recommend this cruise.
My trip was very enjoyable, my wife wanted to go to Aswan a long time ago, and now she is enjoying the trip, the guide was good enough, and the trip was enjoyable by all standards.
The food exceeded expectations. Every meal felt homemade, with options for every taste. Egyptian dishes like kofta and molokhia stood out. The buffet was replenished frequently and everything tasted fresh. I even asked for seconds of the grilled eggplant—something I rarely eat at home! Travel Egypt Tours Aswan clearly values quality over quantity when it comes to dining.
Great atmosphere, very friendly crew members. Our contact Enjy was GREAT! I recommend. Interesting temples, and pretty good infrastructure!
The food, room and staff were very good on the cruise. Tour guides vary by person. Some people didn't feel motivated. Some of them were explained on site, but in the second half they were explained on the move, or they just went around on their own. I spoke with him about his poor English, but he didn't feel any consideration. I don't think it's good to force further evaluation.
It was a very pleasant and beautiful trip on the Nile from Aswan to Luxor. Enjy, our travel consultant, supported us via WhatsApp throughout the trip and made sure everything worked for each attraction. So it was, we were always picked up from the hotel on time, the whole tours worked almost without exception well (group itself was not quite easy) and we could enjoy everything. Also the ship with food was tiptop. Thank you Enjy!
