This was booked by our tour operator so we had no expectations. Pros: the location is great on the Nile with great views Cons: the room was dirty - it looked like it was barely cleaned before we used it as we found clumps of hair in the drawer and the shower was still wet as though it had been recently used, the bed was not comfortable, the food was equally terrible (breakfast buffet was continental and the selection was below average; dinner was equally the same), you needed to take the ferry to go to the main bit which added to your travel time even though it’s 24hrs Overall, would not recommend to anyone. We stayed only 1 night and were glad for it.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. I arrived around 9:00 AM after feeling unwell during my flight. I informed the front desk that I understood check-in would be later and that I was simply going to wait in the lobby until the room was ready. The first receptionist said this was fine. While waiting, I briefly fell asleep on a lobby couch since I wasn’t feeling well and was abruptly woken up by a staff member who told me I was not allowed to sleep there. When I explained that I was not feeling well and waiting for my room key, he told me it was ready, which was not true. When I returned to the desk, staff had difficulty locating my reservation despite me providing all booking details multiple times. Even after paperwork was signed, I was told the room was still not ready. I sat back down to continue waiting and was then approached again by someone I believe was a manager, who questioned me in an interrogating manner about how long I had been there, how I booked, and under whose name. I calmly repeated that I had arrived early, was not feeling well, and was simply waiting for my room key. She said she would look into it and never returned. What made this experience particularly upsetting was that I am a Black woman, and I could clearly observe staff interacting warmly and respectfully with other guests while I was repeatedly questioned, monitored, and made to feel unwelcome. The difference in treatment was noticeable and deeply uncomfortable. To make matters worse, once I finally accessed the room, the shower did not work properly, and I was told the hotel does not have irons available, which is a basic amenity I would expect. Overall, the lack of empathy, poor communication, unequal treatment, and room issues made this stay unacceptable. I expected far better hospitality and professionalism.
**⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) – A Relaxing Stay in a Stunning Location** I had a wonderful time at **Pyramisa Island Aswan**—the location is absolutely **fantastic**, surrounded by the peaceful Nile and beautiful views. The resort’s serene atmosphere made it a perfect getaway. The **staff were very kind and attentive**, always making sure we were comfortable. A special highlight was the **massage**—it was truly relaxing and well worth it! The **food was decent**, though I felt the selection was a bit **limited**, especially for longer stays. Adding more variety would make the dining experience even better. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Pyramisa Island for a tranquil retreat with great service. With a few improvements in the dining options, it could be a **5-star experience**!
One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The location is decent, but everything else was truly disappointing—from the food to the service and, most importantly, the safety and trustworthiness of the staff. We accidentally left a gold bracelet in the room early in the morning when checking out. As soon as we realized (just a few hours later after arriving in Luxor), we immediately contacted the hotel through our new hotel manager (who spoke Arabic) to avoid any miscommunication. Despite several follow-ups over two days, the response from the Pyramisa Island Hotel was vague and ultimately unhelpful. When I asked directly whether my bracelet had been stolen and if they were taking responsibility, I received no reply at all. In addition to this disturbing experience, the hotel itself was in poor condition. The food was terrible, the service unprofessional, and the breakfast—already included in our booking—still came with additional charges for items like coffee. On multiple occasions, we returned to our room to find it smelling of cigarette smoke, clearly coming from the cleaning staff. Even the manager had to come and spray the room because the odor was unbearable. This hotel not only failed to provide basic hospitality—it left us with a deep sense of violation. I would strongly advise anyone to reconsider staying here.
AVERAGE and DISAPPOINTING! The only good thing about this hotel is its location! We paid $350 a night through Booking.com for this hotel. Everything goes well till you enter the hotel. It’s dated, worn out and full of fake plants. The reception staff was perfunctory, no welcome, nothing. Wifi doesn’t work, the rooms are clean but the bathroom is poorly designed. Every time you shower there is a pool of water on the floor. The public bathrooms are dirty. They charge for coffee at breakfast and give you Nescafe packets. Staff seem disinterested! Overall a very disappointing experience and waste of the money we paid. Do not go by the pictures on the internet, that’s not how the hotel looks inside. Avoid at all costs!!
