Instructor Eleonora wrote a description of class saying starts with apertif and tasting local products. First off that didn’t happen at all. Secondly says 3 sauces and homemade tagliatelle. We made 2 sauces and had boxed pasta. The company said wine pairing with sauces-there was a carafe of white wine put on the table with some plastic cups and plastic bowls for our sauces. The picture that is shown ( specifically for this class) shows a nicely set table and certainly not plastic cups and bowls. Also very surprised we had to try to write down the instructions so we could try to make at home. Why no link or QR code with the recipes. Eleonora was a lovely woman and knowledgeable but the experience for the price was very underwhelming and disappointing. I have had contact with the company and have sent snapshots of what was described and unfortunately no explanation as to why what was promised didn’t happen. I understand if it was just my unreal expectations but these things were actually in writing and I don’t understand why they didn’t happen. I rarely write bad reviews and I did give time for company to respond but I now felt that I needed to let people know that in my opinion this course did not deliver what it promised .

We had a wonderful time!! Learned three dishes that we will most definitely be making back in the states.!!
Really great cooking class, serious technique to make Italian pasta. I’m a cook myself and found it super instructive and my daughter also loved it. I highly recommend it!
Eleanore is a great classic cook, knowledgeable in all things classic Italian. She is caring and loves it when clients connect and enjoy conversation around the dinner table once the cooking is done. I love how she takes time to respond to questions and explains different elements like the type of flour she uses and why things are done in such a way... like when sausage is cooked separately from mushrooms, then combined to make the sauce. We had fun and learned a lot. I plan on trying the sauces at home and sending pics and feedback to Eleanore on social media.
Our time with Eleanora learning the 3 sauces was so fun! We started across the street sampling meat and cheese with amazing sauces. So enjoyable! When it was time, he returned us to Eleanora and we jumped right in, chopping, sautéing, stirring and tasting. She boiled pasta to eat with the sauces and we sampled everything. It was all amazing! We took all the leftovers back to our hotel and shared with our travel companions. None was wasted! Great experience!!
We arrived at a lovely home in Assisi for our cooking experience that we thought was only a couple of hours in duration. Upon arrival we were given an aperitivo along with some local meat and cheese sandwiches that were delicious, while chatting and enjoying the garden. There were seven family members including my four year old nephew who was delighted to be given toys to play with while we got to know the family hosting the class. We then entered the kitchen where we began our cooking experience learning how to make various pastas, sauces and tiramisu. Everyone took turns churning, rolling, smelling, playing and enjoying. Arlesiana, our maestro is a magician in the kitchen and a lovely human being. After cooking we all (my family and the hosts') sat around the dinner table eating everything we had just prepared while enjoying numerous bottles of wine. The experience was above and beyond. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we did not want to leave. In fact we were at the house until the late afternoon and still needed to explore Assisi. If you are looking for an authentic Italian cooking experience, this is one not to be missed. Loved!!!
Had a great time with Eleonora learning how to make 3 new sauces. Really enjoyed watching some of her techniques for making these fresh sauces and learning how easy it will be to do it at home. So much food for the two of us, she sent us with a “to go” package that we were able to enjoy the next day for dinner. A wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
The minute we walked in the door we felt so welcome by Arlesiana and her family. They were so hospitable and made us feel like part of their family! At the start of the evening, before we started cooking, we were served delicious sandwiches and cheese along with Prosecco and got to chat with the family a bit. For the cooking class we learned how to make tagliatelle pasta with a tomato based sauce with sausage and for dessert we learned how to make tiramisu! The best learning came from watching Arlesiana work and trying to copy that. She didn’t speak English but we were able to joke, laugh, and communicate well especially with her son translating. She is clearly a passionate, seasoned artisan cook and it was a gift to watch her and be directed by her. She made things look so easy and gave us direction when our technique was off. The ingredients and directions were simple, but the motions and execution of the recipe would have been impossible to learn just from reading it. She was gracious and sent us the recipes plus some extra recipes we didn’t have time to make and offered to answer any questions we have by email about any Italian cooking when we returned home. The food was delicious and Arlesiana sent us home with leftovers! We actually made the recipe again at home and it was wonderful! We really felt like we had a glimpse into an Italian home. We had great conversation while cooking and over dinner about how our two countries were so different and the goodness of each of them. We learned so much culturally and culinarily! Arlesiana and her family were kind and warm and they went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. At the end of the night we weren’t sure if we’d be able to get a taxi back to our apartment in Assisi and Arlesiana’s son graciously offered to give us a ride back. We really felt like we had become part of the family and we hope to see them again!
Eleonora was amazing friendly, very patient and lots of fun! We were beginners but learned how to make pasta from scratch and it was delicious 😋 I would totally recommend trying the experience. My only disappointment was that we did not the apron as advertised.
Both entertaining and informative! I really enjoyed my class! I learned so much that will improve my pasta making.
We had a wonderful time learning how to make fresh pasta and raviolis. Our experience started with amazing wine tastings paired with different cheeses, vinegar s and jams. Then Eleanora taught us how to make delicious pasta. She was very patient with us. It was the perfect ending to our stay in the beautiful town of Assisi. I would highly suggest this class.
Eleonora was great! If you are in Assisi this is a must do on your experiences to have while here. She was welcoming, patient and so knowledgeable in showing how to make homemade pasta. By the end of the class you will have made two meals for yourself. Prior to the lesson you get appetizers at a wine shop across the street. A very nice man and owner named Francesco will serve you some of the best pairing of cheeses you will ever taste. Highly recommend Eleonora and this entire experience!
We were welcomed by Eleanora and immediately served with delicious cheeses and meats from the local shop, accompanied by a selection of perfect balsamics, oils and chutney….. and not forgetting the organic wine! The pasta making was huge fun and we made fettuccine to take home and ravioli which was then presented to us with a sumptuous sauce for supper. Eleanora made us a mousse for dessert and we were offered wine throughout. We loved the evening … thank you Eleanora.
What a lovely evening. We made fettuccini, part of a chocolate dessert, and Umbrian bread. Eleanora was adorable, accomadating and spoke pretty good English. The facility/large room was well equipped and beautiful. The meal we jointly prepared for all 11 of us with Eleanora was delicious. The entire event was a wonderful experience. Very Italian !
We had a great time with Laura. Fun experience and great time spent! We talked, learned about the local cuisine and sampled before eating our delicious lunch! Thank you, for sharing your home and passion!
This experience was one I'll treasure forever. My hosts, Lucia and Martina, were absolute wonderful. We had so much genuine, relaxed and authentic fun. I learned real cooking skills and recipes and the feast afterwards was scrumptious. I cannot recommend this enough! I really hope to be back. Thank you for everything.
A fantastic afternoon with Mama Laura and her daughter Chef Elisa. We were shown how to make traditional bread, pasta and tiramisu. Lovely afternoon in the family home and great to learn how to make these dishes in the traditional way. I will definitely be using these methods when I get home. Huge thanks to Mama Laura 🫶🏼🇮🇹
Sara and her family made for an unforgettable day! This is a must-do when in the area of Assisi. Sara (and Angelo) welcomed us into their beautiful home and spent time teaching us hands-on to make cheese biscuits, gnocchi, and tiramisu. She even made gluten free accommodations. Then we were treated to a wonderful aperitif and local wine. Their property is breath-taking amongst the garden and olive trees. We truly had the best day and felt like part of the family. Please arrange an unforgettable class and experience with Sara. Time and money well spent.
The course was held in the home of very welcoming and kind people. The menu was as follows: bruschetta, salami with testo cake, farfalle with pesto and cherry tomatoes and dessert of tozzetti with vinsanto. I enjoyed the experience. I brought home the owner's handwritten menu ingredients. Simple and positive experience.
