Martha, our host was wonderful. Our meat and cheese plate was delicious. Beautiful views of the city.

Wonderful experience and great wine!
Lovely experience with great food pairings for a great lunch. Very friendly and knowledgeable service. Highly recommend .
Good wines paired with local cheese and meats. Add to that an educational and fun chat with our host Martha and beautiful scenery. What else to wish for?
The five samples of wine, meats and cheeses were wonderful. The host was informative. Unfortunately she was the only one working at the time so we started 20 minutes late because she needed to take care of customers walking in we didn’t get the bruschetta or the tour of the vineyards. The description should allow 2.5 hours instead 1.5.
Excellent experience with adult children! The winery owner was so informative and created a lovely experience educating us as we enjoyed her delicious wines. The location is perfect after a day trekking around Assisi. Highly recommend!
Fabulous, knowledgeable hosts. While sipping on an array of wine, we learned a lot about their vineyard and the process of making wine. Their olive oil was fabulous too!
The wine and food was fantastic. Very friendly and informative host. The chance to walk through the vineyards was lovely too
Generous nibbles to go with 5 tastings. Refills if requested. Beautiful surroundings. Friendly service. Highly recommend for a casual afternoon.
Experienced and learned about different wines. Had wonderful cheese bread And meats. Enjoyed the company. Beautiful vineyard and overlook of Assisi
Me and a friend got there 30 minutes early, we called the number on the door as SAIO was not open yet. They came in less than 10 minutes to let us in and start the tour. The wine was excellent and the food was delish. Super accommodating and nice, had a great time for a great price.
I went here with a friend and we got there 30 minutes early. I called the number on the building as SAIO was not open yet. They came to let us in less than 10 minutes later and were super accommodating! The wines were excellent and the aperitifs were delish!! It was raining so we couldn’t do the walks, even so it was a great visit. For the price it was a ton of food and drinks, would recommend!
After a morning in Assisi, we made a quick stop for a late lunch and tasting. The food was delicious! Charcuterie, lentils, and porchetta. We were stuffed! Wine accompanied each course. i shipped two cases back to the US. Staff was friendly. Clean bathroom. Smartly designed tasting room.
Our guide asked who was interested in doing a wine tasting and almost everyone’s hand popped up. At Saio we walked through the vineyards on our own, reading signs labeling the types of grapes along the scenic way. We got to a pavilion with picnic tables where we received our wine tasting and food with a magnificent view of Assisi in the background.
We had a very pleasant experience here. I'm afraid I cannot remember her name other than it began with an M, but she was one of the daughters of the proprietor of the land and the winery and what a pleasant host she was indeed. Very informative, a small taste of all the wines and an insight into the business, this was indeed a must experience if you are staying in Assisi. After your wine tasting and short education on the wines, you are allowed to walk through about a kilometer or so to a beautiful spot over looking the town of Saint Francis. Here you are given a generous platter of cheese and cured meats and fine Italian bread and olive oil. Very Much worth the trip. Beware however if you are walking be prepared to walk on the road or organize a good taxi there and back, although the walk back is more suitable as it is a little closer but you will still have to walk along country roads, but with beautiful views.
Highly recommend. Enjoyed leisurely wine tasting with local meets and cheeses with Agnese. She was delightful and friendly. Group walked through the vineyard for a breathtaking view of Assisi. Ordered 2 cases of wine which arrived back in USA quickly. Driver stopped in sunflower fields for another amazing photo opportunity.
Great experiance. It was informative and great wine and olive oil. We had a nice walk in the family vinyard with some explanation.
Wonderful tasting, which we were given by the owner of the SAIO winery herself. Of course, when the owners tell their story, every little thing makes sense, and every event is told with trepidation. We were told in detail the history of the winery, how and when production began, what is behind the name of each wine, and why the labels on the wines look like this. There were only two pairs of us at the tasting, so you could say a very private tasting we did. We tasted all five wines, served with a large plate of cheeses, a similarly large plate of chopped meats and local grilled meats, as well as a bread basket, a plate of lentil chowder, and cookies. Killing lunch! The wines are good, the tastes are interesting, the prices are pleasant. We took a bottle of red as a gift home. Highly recommended!
Beautiful experience everything perfect 😊
All beautiful! Excellent wine, welcome also. We very much enjoyed the aperitif, the products were of excellent quality and in abundance. Super recommended!
Beautiful experience, started with a walk in the vineyard with suggestive views, continued inside with tasting of particular and non-trivial wines. Extensive explanation, fresh and never excessive. Chopping board of great quality and very abundant. Easy reservation. Recommended!
The girl couldn't understand anything. And the wines are not good. Nothing interactive. It is a small wine producer that is made to sell the wines. And the oil that's not worth it either. Money thrown away
Very good informations to the testing wines. Good atmosphare. It was a very good wine tasting with a plate of regional specialties.
5 nice wines, nice explanations and big drinks board. after that you can still visit the vineyards. really good value for money and very nice ladies
Very nice and suggestive experience. Warm welcome in the room. Quality of wines and products very good. Clean and chic place. The tour in the vineyard is also special. Experience to repeat
On 13/08/24 my daughter and I stayed at the SAIO vineyard where we were greeted by Mrs. Agnese, who welcomed us with courtesy and sympathy, made us feel immediately at ease... The tasting was excellent he illustrated each wine impeccably, and each wine accompanied by cold cuts and bruschetta with their magnificent oil... In addition to the wines we also tasted grape jam... Wonderful... And then the beautiful walk through the vineyards... Thanks Agnese I hope to return to visit you maybe for a picnic in the vineyard
Very interesting guided tasting, Irene is a perfect hostess, ready to answer all your curiosities (both about the wine and the surroundings). The 6 proposals tasted (two white and four red, of increasing alcohol content) range between flavors and local and family history. The two whites are accompanied by a cutting board with tastings of local cheeses, jam made with their grapes (very good!) and bread soaked in their own oil, while the four reds are paired with raw ham, salami and testo cake. Spectacular and absolutely recommended also the walk along their vineyard, which culminates in a veranda overlooking the beautiful Assisi. The shop is obviously available for the sale of both wines and oil, prices proportionate to the offer. If you're in the area, don't miss this experience!
Nice tasting accompanied by cheeses and cured meats under the expert guidance of the owner. Also recommended is a walk among the vineyards and olive trees until you see a beautiful panorama of Assisi from below
Among the options provided by the smartbox, the walk through the vineyards convinced us to book this experience. At sunset it is a real spectacle. The owners conducted the tasting of the wines they produce in a very kind and professional way, explaining in depth everything we were drinking and eating.
We had a very nice tasting. The host took the time to answer our questions and explained the products well. I recommend this experience.
Wonderful day with our family in SAIO’s beautiful surroundings and vineyards. The wine tasting was good with good information and good wines. Great tour through the vineyards to the porch where we got served the food. Good food and generous amounts of food and wine. The only thing we had to postpone was the price for children. For 16 € we would have wanted a more tailored meal for children and some alternative drink to the wine. Our children ate very little of the served food so the price was high. We recommend the host to create a children's menu, or let children go for free. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable day.
