Our group of 6 found this event to be a highlight of our trip to Italy. We were picked up in Assisi and driven to the winery where we tasted the delicious wine, had tasty appetizers and enjoyed hearing about the vineyard operations.

My husband and I scheduled a tasting and then missed our time. The hosts were so gracious and allowed us to reschedule. This was an absolutely wonderful experience! The view from the patio was spectacular and the wines were delicious and paired with appropriate appetizers that were so fresh and flavorful it seemed they were made at the table! The winery also produces delicious olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The owner waited on us and was very attentive and informative, telling us about the wines, the oil and vinegar. She even had us try a wine not included and recommended that we go to Spello which was already our next destination! This tasting was one of our top experiences in the Assisi area!
Do not book here. Everything about the experience was amazing. The wine tastings were enjoyable and educational with a lot of variety. The vineyard is beautiful. And the view of the countryside spectacular. However, the acoustics are awful. There were only us and a table of 4. They were so loud that we could not hear the somelier, literally. She walked over and asked them to be a little quieter to no avail. Other than this factor, we would rate 100%>
The wine tasting experience was wonderful. We learned so much about the family history in wine production and about the wines of the region. Additionally, the food was amazing.
The experience was excellent.. The wine, food and staff were all exceptional.. So glad we did this.. The price was very reasonable as well..
We selected this vineyard. based on the all of the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor. There were 6 adults in our group and we were so disappointed. The wines were not what we were expecting. They were all very disappointing. The cheese and salami items were the star. Our server just basically poured wine, gave us a minute description of the wine and then moved on. She didn't explain the process of how wines are produced at the vineyard, why it is special, etc. We tasted really sweet wines, an orange wine was presented and she stated either you will like it or hate it. Not one of us liked it, actually not one of us enjoyed any of the wines. Note to others.... there are much better tasting rooms and wines in Umbria. Don't waste your money or precious vacation time by going here.
A wonderful experience learning about the process the importance and the benefits of the land around you and then eat and sample some of the most delicious foods of the region
Absolutely loved our experience at Tili. We had the most relaxed afternoon tasting wine and snacking on the most delectable bites. ( I am thrilled to have received the recipes!) Umbria has to be the most underrated wines. The Tili wines were so delicious. Our hostesses were all fantastic. Friendly and welcoming. Chatted up a storm. We enjoyed it so much, we booked again for the forecasted rainy day that week. I regret nothing!
Had a great wine tasting and accompaniments at Tili Vini. The view over the valley is fantastic, the wine superb and the food delicious! The hosts were knowledgeable and very nice people.
This was a really excellent location to have a wine tasting. The views were amazing. The hosts and sommelier were very knowledgeable, very friendly. The views were unbelievable and the property itself was lovely. I would highly recommend this for a couple or a group of friends.
A wonderful experience!! The family members work in the tasting room (a tight knit family business) and the staff is knowledgeable and kind. We really enjoyed trying the wine, oil and balsamic… and the tasting room is gorgeous! We walked the vines and olive groves a bit; the sights are beautiful for great pictures. We would definitely recommend this experience. The winery is easy to get to by taxi and is about 10 minutes by taxi to town center. FYI: Taxis are expensive in Assisi but it is what it is.
Great experience! We enjoyed truffle hunting with dodo! The food was delicious, and the service was great. Attentive to detail!
Maria, Julie and others made this experience fun, enjoyable and relaxing. They made sure we had appetizers, to go with the taste testing of their wine. We had great conversation over the wine and so many verities they have. This was a great way to just wind down and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery of the area. Friendly and always answering your questions. Yes! We will be back someday to enjoy this experience!
The staff at Tili 21 were amazing. The view at the vineyard was breathtaking. The wine and food were delicious. Thank you very much for a very enjoyable and relaxing morning.
We arrived early and were welcomed with a smile. Our tasting was fantastic. The wines were paired with local foods and we purchased the variety case to be shipped home to the states. Just a beautiful view and a wonderful experience.
We wanted to do a wine tasting while in Assisi. Tili was only 10 minutes away, so it was easily accessible. We had a lovely time trying 5 different Tili wines on the patio overlooking the vineyard and the valley below. What a beautiful view to behold! Maria, the owner, served us food and wines. It was all excellent! She provided detailed descriptions of each wine. All 5 were exceptional! Although I have more wine than I need right now, I thought it would be great to add a mixed case of Tili wines to my collection. If you are looking to do something outside the normal Assisi activities surrounding St. Francis, St. Clare, and (soon to be) St Carlo Acutis, I would put this at the top of the list. The wines are exceptional and Maria is an amazing host!
What enjoyable time we had. They were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgable of the questions we asked about. Great choices of wines and explained the production process of each wine we tried. Would recommend this visit!
We had a wonderful day despite the rain. Maria, the owner, and her daughter. gave us a new understanding of organic winemaking and many varietals that we have not tried before. Our favorite was the Sagrantino We also got to taste olive oil that was pressed that morning,. and Maria explained the process, how to taste it and the flavors we would experience. It was all so good that we can’t wait to experience it at home when our case arrives :)
They were amazing hosts. They had an igloo type seating area set up so we could still be outside and enjoy the beautiful view. Appetizers were delicious and the wine was fantastic- bringing wine, olive oil and balsamic vinegar home with us! Highly recommend!
Our visit to Tili was an exceptional experience and I say that as someone who frequently goes wine tasting, mostly in California, but also in France and Italy. We tasted 7 wines and had delicious pairings of Umbrian appetizers alongside. It sounds trite to say we felt like family, but we were treated so warmly and we felt so comfortable sitting outside admiring the vineyards and view to Assisi and Perugia. The wines were outstanding-and we have a deeper understanding of the varietals and the history behind them. It made for such a lovely memory and I hope to return someday.
My wife and I went during our honeymoon. Genuinely the best wine of our lives, and the views were absolutely incredible. The staff were knowledgeable and super friendly, they even gave us free wine for our honeymoon. If you’re thinking about booking this, just do it!
Not lucky with the weather, but we enjoyed our tasting very very much Such a nice people and so much passion for their work I loved it
Beautiful view! That staff was amazing! Very friendly and knowledgable. They wine and snacks were delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quaint, quiet winery experience.
Very enjoyable tasting in a beautiful setting with food pairings and enjoyable company and atmosphere from the hosts
A beautiful location with great wines, great food and a spectacular view. The family that runs it is delightful, knowledgeable and informative. They will ship their wines home for you at a very reasonable price. They even e-mailed a family cookbook after our visit, which I have already used. Highly recommend.
It was a truly wonderful lunch. We tasted several (I think 5) wines and had a scrumptious 4 course lunch…antipasti, freshly made pasta with truffles picked that morning, the most delicious roasted eggplant Parmesan and ended with an exquisite panna cotta with fresh fruit. Best meal we had in Italy so far! After ordering some of their wine to ship home, we added both their olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Bellisimo!
We had a great time at Tili Vini! Their wine is great and the views from the patio are amazing. The food they provided was wonderful as well. I would definitely recommend making a stop here while you're in Umbria.
When we arrived at the Tili Winery, we were welcomed graciously. the owner sat with us and explained everything there is to know about winemaking. Climate change has a large impact on winemaking. The wines were delicious, and the snacks too. after our tasting, we bought a couple of extraordinary wines which will be shipped to our home in Canada. The owner's daughter was delightful. Annalaura took us to the Production facility 1 kilometre away and gave us a private tour. Simply amazing. My brother-in-law had and I amazing time and I Recommend this tour to anybody at any time.
One of the best wineries experiences we have ever had. This is a must do to enjoy food, wine, great views and personalized service.
What an amazing spot outside of Assisi. We had a late homemade lunch and a tasting at Tili Vini in their newer Tili 21 location. It was a perfect finish to our day after a morning tour in Assisi. Maria and Annlaura were amazing. Maria is such an amazing cook. They spent so much quality time with us - so much more than we expected. We'll never forget the reaction of the truffle dog when Maria brought in our truffle pasta! We bought wine, olive oil, and balsamic shipped to our home in Minnesota. What an incredible, genuine Umbrian experience. You can see the "family love and care" in everything they do. We can not wait to return. What a perfect compliment to a morning in Assisi! Make sure you ask Annalaura for the correct maps program to use. Try the truffles, balsamic, olive olive, and of course the wine. Do not miss Maria's cooking if possible.
Location was great. Hostess was lovely. wine was very nice. The reason I gave the 3 rating was due to the fact that we felt very rushed. In less than an hour we were presented with 5 wines and then basically we had to leave. we ended up buying some wine and oil and balsamic but we had to leave quickly because of the weather. wish we had been invited in to the winery. Was supposed to be a tour of the vineyards but did not get that part either.
This was the highlight of our 17 day trip through Tuscany and Umbria. Everything was perfect - the Hosts - Maria and AnnaLaura, the food, they scenery, and of course the amazing wines. If you have to pick one big event for your vacation, this should be it
The vineyard was very accommodating as we called about 20 minutes before we arrived and they were working on the bottling process but were willing to host our party of 6 for the wine tasting. The owner was very descriptive on how there wines originated from there family.
Very knowledgeable at the various wines that are all organic. Loved the service and scenery was beautiful. The two dogs on site were a bonus :)
The winery is a quick taxi ride from Assisi along a very scenic road. When we arrived it was as if we were joining friends for dinner on their patio. We were seated right away and served water, then the wine presentation began. I thought it would be a wine tasting together with a large group, but instead, each group was informed and served individually. We were brought small plates of appetizers, then one bottle of wine at a time. We were told the history and the flavor of each wine and which bite to eat it with. The family/workers were all very friendly, knowledgeable, and fun! The property is beautiful and I wish we would have walked around a bit in the olive groves and grapes, but we were having so much fun at the table we just never got up. We enjoyed their unique organic wines, olive oil and balsamic vinegar so much that we ordered a box to be sent home to the U.S. If I ever make it to Assisi again, I will make a visit to the winery as well. Highly recommend!
Due to a delayed flight into Umbria, we arrived over an hour and a half taste for our tasting at Tili Vini. Many operators would simply decline us, but the team here could not have been more relaxed or welcoming as they received us. This warm hospitality continued throughout our visit and made us feel very well looked after, as though we were visiting old friends. This tasting is a gorgeous way to spend an afternoon, with stunning vistas of vines and abundant fresh lavender heady in the breeze. Butterflies dance around the flowers, too, making this a most picturesque spot. We really enjoyed the several local wines of Umbria that we tasted, particularly the rosato which looked like it would be sweet and cloying but was actually light, dry and refreshing. The stuzzichini served during the tasting were simple, fresh and delicious, as they should be. We also enjoyed meeting Dodo, the truffle-hunting canine who is resident here. Give him a pat from us! Grazie for having us.
Lovely trip to Tili Vini in Assisi - Jessica and Gaia were excellent hosts. Great tasting experience. A very enjoyable afternoon
The winemakers were so kind and welcoming… certainly passionate about their work ! Each wine had a story and was thoughtfully paired with an accompanying dish
Wonderful experience at a family owned winery. Great wine and better atmosphere. Would definitely come back if we are ever in Assisi.
If there was a rating of “5.5”, this winery would get it! Fantastic reception by the owners themselves, followed by a rollout of unique wines, thorough explanations of their creation, alongside a sumptuous compliment of food. The warmth and hospitality of this place exemplifies the Italian people in general…kind, caring and selfless. ❤️
The wine is excellent, the olive oil is even better! Be sure to bring a camera for the view and the wine tasting experience.
We totally enjoyed this wine tasting experience. Every part of it was super! This is very customer oriented family operation that makes you feel very special. The wine, food and view were great. We highly recommend this tour.
This was a perfect experience of wine and food and company.. our hostess Anna Laurie was lovely and the wine and vista superb.. highly re.
We booked a wine tasting at 3:30 in the afternoon for two couples. We were greeted very warmly and chose to sit outside on the patio under the large umbrellas. The service was excellent and included a nice sampling of local cheeses, meats, bruschetta (with their organic EVOO) and olives. We were served four to five of the vineyard’s wines (portions were generous) and while all the wines were delicious, what really stood out was the variety of the colors. From a lovely straw yellow to deep red, including (surprisingly) a beautiful orange wine that was so unique! I like wine, I drink wine, but I’ll leave all the more descriptive characteristics that never really matter too much to me to others (or go to their website!). Suffice to say it was a very lovely afternoon. In fact, it was just right!
Good pours, good wine and food is excellent and plentiful. The view though is the best! Nice for couples or small groups (children would be bored) Definitely adult stuff.
We love Tili. Anna was great explaining everything about their wine and history and gave us lots of insight into the family business. We would highly recommend going to Tili. You may not want to leave.
The pours were good size and the food was really good. We were not expecting much snack wise but it definitely enough. The staff was wonderful and the sunset was superb!
The view is spectacular, the Grechetto White wine was exceptional, & our hosts we awesome!! Would go there again on my next trip to Assisi!
Such a beautiful place, such nice people and GREAT wines. We loved our experience and will definitely come back.
This is a great way to spend a couple of hours. Superb hospitality and lovely people. Amazing views.
