This experience exceeded our expectations! Alura picked us up in Assisi and was so friendly and knowledgeable. They shared many details about their business and traditions. We tasted olive oil, 5 different wines, and 2 aged balsamic vinegars along with homemade food accompaniments (who knew cantaloupe jam and cheese was such a perfect mix). We also toured the winery and learned about their process. Highly recommend this experience!!
You get to see the whole operation! It is amazing. The barrels, the big containers of wine. All of it. Guilia was a wonderful host. And the wine was amazing.
We did this tour in May with a pickup option from Assisi. The tour was personalized, very detailed, and met all our expectations. All the processes, equipment, etc were explained well; we tasted around five wines and several cheeses and meats too. It was an insightful experience!
Excellent tour with a chance to see a small generational Organic winery in operation. The pick up/drop off in Assisi was excellent as we were able to see part of the countryside. It was a lovely afternoon capped with wine, olive oil and balsamic tasting. my husband and I would describe it as the perfect tour, knowledgeable host, not to long, with food at the end in a beautiful setting.
Fabulous tour! Lots of information about wine production, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Wine tasting was excellent as well as the food. I would highly recommend this tour.
Getting picked up by one of the tour guides who drives you to the vineyard and explains things along the way is an excellent experience. The exploration of the organic wine making process along with seeing of the process is a memorable way of learning. After seeing and learning about the processing of the grapes and olives it was delightful to sit down with some family members and have them pour wine, olive oil and taste them along with some charcuterie. The aged balsamic vinegar tasting and explanation tops off the whole experience in a comfortable setting.
Giulia picked us up, took us on a tour of the winery and then we had a fun tasting! Tasted several Tili wines and had light snacks! It was a perfect tour!
We had an AMAZING time and would highly recommend. The tour was so personal and we loved hearing all about the family and the work they do to keep producing organic products for the region! The food, wine, oils were all so good! Anna Laura is delightful!
Julia gave us a wonderful experience at the winery today, well informed, wines were great! I loved the balsamic vinegar and oil that come in "carry-on" amounts, as we are already overloaded to fly back to the states tomorrow! Laura was also lovely, I have a great respect for her and her husband, who carry on the tradition of many centuries at this winery! They are clearly dedicated to excellence and maintaining their organic history. Julia was just lovely, gave an excellent tour, spoke English very well which made us feel comfortable and contacted the taxi service to transport us back to old downtown Assisi. I would highly recommend this tour!
Absolutely wonderful! By far the best time my wife and I had in Italy. The tour was incredible, the food was delicious, and it was the best wine we have ever had! Everyone there is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend doing this if you are in the area!
We had a great time. We were picked up at the hotel as it was closer than the meeting spot. So extra points for that. It wasnt rushed. Highly recommend that 25 yr old Balsamic Vinegar.
Lovely friendly greeting and very informative, really enjoyed. We were going to buy a box of wine, but it is to expensive to ship.
What a fantastic family winery. We enjoyed our tour and tasting so much. The snacks with the tasting were some of the best of our trip. Guilia was energetic and entertaining. One of the highlights of our trip!
Amazing family owned winery!! We had the best time on this tour! The tastings were amazing and plentiful. We enjoyed the tour and tasting the delicious wines and appetizers. Their olive oil and balsamic was amazing!! Mom and daughter joined us on our tasting and were delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed this family and tour. Our guide Guilia was such a pleasure and joy.
Perfect, amazing experience!! Everyone and everything was great. Our guide, Giulia was a treasure, very informative and a joy in to be with. The family at the winery were very kind and friendly. We loved all of the wines and the snacks were excellent. Needless to say we are going home with wine, olive oil and balsamic. The olive oil and balsamic was also amazing. We loved every minute.
Exceptional experience. The trip captured the tradition and culture of Umbria. The wines, olive oil, balsamic vinegar were incredible. Most rewarding, was engaging with the amazing Tuli family and learning their role in keeping the Umbrian traditions alive for future generations
My husband and I were so pleasantly surprised by this tour and tasting at the most beautiful and oldest winery in Assisi. Our guide, Julia, personally picked us up at the entrance to the city and started our tour there. The biggest surprise was that this was a private tour and tasting, very romantic and gorgeous scenery. Julia was very knowledgeable about the process from picking the grapes (which the Tili family still does by hand) to the aging of the grapes to bottling and then tasting. The food was delicious and the oil and vinegar was divine. We loved it all and felt so special during our visit. We can't wait to receive the bottles of red wine, white wine, and olive oil that we ordered. Many thanks to the Tili family and to Julia for making our experience special. We cant wait to return to try a cooking class. Loved the jam w the cheese and the biscotti! Highly recommend. Dont pass up this trip!
Spoiled is the best way to describe our visit to Tili Vineyards. Giulia, our guide, was so kind, so intelligent about the production of the vineyard’s wine, oil, and vinegar, and her love for working at this vineyard shines through. It was an informative tour and it was a relaxing tour. Giulia made us feel like family as we tasted their delicious wines, olive oil, vinegar and lemon jam. Giulia paired the tastings so well with cheeses and breads, and toppings as we sat together over looking the Umbrian valley. This vineyard goes back to the 1200s, the time of St. Francis, who, by the way, would be proud to know this vineyard is 100% organic. We purchased their wines and vinegar, which they are shipping back to the U.S. We loved this tour and will definitely go back to this winery
The staff, food, olive oil and wines were delicious. The views overlooking the vineyards, valley and mountains in the distance were spectacular.
We had an absolutely divine visit at the winery! Gorgeous location (we got a ride from them from Assissi - so no need for a car or designated driver), delightfully informative and delicious all around. We're just looking forward to our wine and balsamic arriving in Seattle to have an Umbrian feast.
Our guide was very good and the owners were so friendly! Bring a big appetite .. Beautiful setting and view !
Giulia was such a friendly, personable hostess that she made the entire experience well worth it. We were able to ask questions/converse with her for the entire car ride. We enjoyed the wine & the food; the Bisciotti was amazing!
Our second visit but it won’t be our last. Maria makes you feel like part of the family and is a truly wonderful lady. Nothing is too much trouble in terms of dietary requirements and it was the best experience of our recent holiday Thank you Maria, Annalaura and the team Andrew & Tracey White
We had a really great time. Giulia picked us up from the rendezvous just metres from our Airbnb apartment and was a charming and knowledgeable guide to the superb wines, and balsamic that we tasted. The bruschette and tozzetti were delicious too. The view from the terrace was spectacular. We then moved to the winery and Giulia explained the whole organic process and answered questions in perfect English. Very highly recommended indeed.
An extremely enjoyable experience! We have been on wine tasting visits to wineries in Oregon with some fantastic views, but this location is as good or better than those. We enjoyed wine tasting as we overlooked the Umbrian valley. Wine and cheese were great, but the aged balsamic vinegar was quite a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend this.
My husband and I had a fantastic experience with Maria, Annalaura, and Giulia. Giulia kindly picked us up and took us to Tili Wines. We enjoyed tasting the five wines plus the bonus of their cabernet. The bruschette accompaniments were fabulous, and we so enjoyed trying their olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar as well. We also had a tour of the winery itself. Such a lovely experience with people who value what they’ve done for many, many generations! So highly recommend! Maria was so engaging and personable. It was a delightful event!
This wine / olive oil tasting was very fun and informative. The owners took time to explain to us how extra-virgin olive oil is made, and even what that name means. They also talked to us about growing grapes and making wine in central Italy, which was fascinating. They were generous with the wines we tasted and every one of them was delicious! They also provided a fun variety of bruschetta and charcuterie, which was a treat in itself and complemented the oil, balsamic vinegar, and wine we tried. My wife and I talked about which wine we liked best, and it was hard to decide because they were all so good!
Giulia was our guide and picked us up from the meeting point to drive us to the winery. Views of the countryside are spectacular. The wine was good and we also enjoyed the bruschetta and salumi platter we were served. They made fresh apple juice for the kids which was a very nice touch. The winery operation is small which makes it easy to see everything in a short time. Overall highly recommended.
Beautiful place/ fantastic tour and explanation of wine and olive oils and balsamic!! Wow! The perfect Umbrian and Italian stop!! Sent some products home and they just arrived!!!🎉🎉
Picked up by Giulia at the Porto Nuovo and taken first to the winery for an interesting tour and introduction to the family. We then backtracked to Tili's fantastic tasting centre which has a enviable outlook over the valley. We had 5 wines along with some very tasty snacks, several were varieties we hadn't tried before. Finally had some incredible balsamic vinegar, just tiny amounts transforming the accompanying food. Altogether a wonderful tour with Giulia being an excellent host.
This was one of our favorite activities during our trip to Italy- from the moment Giulia picked us up, we were treated like family. She gave a great tour of the wine-making facilities, then brought us to the tasting room with the most STUNNING views. The wine and food pairings were excellent and both Giulia and Maria were so welcoming and friendly. We had a fantastic experience & highly recommend this to anyone in the area!
We really enjoyed Anna and the equipment visual. Learned a wealth of information related to processes of organic olive oil, balsamic vinegar and wine. Tried 6 types of wine. Enjoyed all. Impossible not to send at least one of each back to the states. V & B from Dallas TX and Scottsdale AZ.
Wonderful Tour. Our guide, Giulia, was knowledgeable , warm and a great host for showing us around and explaining various aspects of wine making and olive oil production at this winery. Afterward we had a very fine tasting of wines from the vineyard paired w/ delicious buschetta. The whole event exceeded our expectations.
If you are in Italy and you would like to experrience a local winery and hospitality of a fantastic family, you must visit the Tili winery.
Wonderful morning. Your guide, Giulia, was very knoledgeable and friendly. Amazing wines paired with bruschetta and cold cuts. Recommended!
This experience was the highlight of my trip to Italy! We had so much fun sampling their incredible wine. I would definitely recommend this to anyone coming to Italy. I only hope I can get their wine in the states!
A wonderful experience and a terrific way to spend part of our day. Our guide, Gaia, was very knowledgeable and took her time in explaining and answering various questions about all aspects of wine, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil production. The wine, vinegar and oil tasting along with various meats, cheeses and bruschetta was very good. The day visited; it was just the two of us and Gaia picked us up in her little Fiat in Assisi to bring us to the winery. We enjoyed our tasting overlooking the Umbrian countryside while sitting in a clear dome which protected us from the wind but allowed us to still be outdoors…it’ll be perfect for those who visit when the weather cooler or raining. So much passion for the work that is done on this family farm. Everything was excellent. We ordered a case (mixed wine/oil/vinegar) to be delivered back to the US and we are looking forward to receiving it. You will leave happy that you came!
The views from the patio of the valley below were amazing! The family service was so friendly and nice, we had a great meal, great wine, and a lot of laughs during our visit! I highly recommend Tili Vini for a visit, and to sample all of their wonderful wine!
Very informative and interesting experience. Really enjoyed the personal time and information provided. Great team and adorable pets! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Maria. Thank you.
A fantastic day shared with my daughter. A true Italian experience, we were collected by Gia in her Fiat 500 and arrived at the family winery. Gia gave us a great tour, very informative. Followed by a delicious lunch and wine tasting with amazing views of the valley. Must try the home made lemon marmalade and biscotti- so delicious we had to buy some and wine too. A really great trip which I would not hesitate to recommend.
I got picked up to head to the family winery which was very helpful. It is a family run winery at their house. I got to meet their dogs and go down through their cellar. I would not say that the facilities were exceptionally clean and organized, which was a bit off putting, but the wines tasted great. They did not serve olive oil or balsamic in a "tasting" way other than in the light meal that was included. For the price, I would not recommend. Also, as a solo traveler I would not recommend since you are alone at their house.
Amazing experience! The family is so knowledgeable and very friendly!! You will not go wrong taking a tour and trying the wine & balsamic vinegar.
This very informative tour left us with great knowledge about organic wine and olive oil. Our guide. Ann Laura was super accommodating. She picked us up at the train station and dropped us back in town. She was super friendly and gave us history of the Vineyard and answered any questions we had. The tour ended and their restaurant/ store where Analaura gave us the whole run down on how to properly drink wine, the types of wines, the process of making the wines, and she served us food with the fresh balsamic vinegar and olive oil. She also told us the processes of making the oil and vinegar. We got to sample 6 or 7 wines and taste many delicious appetizers. I highly recommend this tour.
Excellent tour. One of the highlights in Assisi. I now know what good olive oil is. And the types of wines were amazing! It’s all grown organically. I can’t wait for my wine to arrive back home so I can share it with friends.
We thought we were part if a tour group and it needed up just the two of us. We had a great experience with AnnaLaura and her adorable puppy. Nice winery tour and tasting experience. And the balsamic is glorious!
Wonderful tour, delicious food, and GREAT wine - spent $500 to have it sent to the U.S. Ouch! As we had our younger sons with us, we opted for the farm tour, with emphasis on balsamic vinegar and an overview of the wine-making process. Our tasting following the tour did include 4 wines, but we really wanted to focus upon the olive oil and balsamic. SO delicious! We enjoyed learning about the family traditions and how organic wine is made differently than mass produced wine. We felt like family and would have stayed longer if time allowed (the tour ended)! The winery arranged a car for us to/from town, for a small fee, as we had traveled to Assisi via train. (Very accommodating and flexible with the transportation). Highly recommend.
Great winery and balsamic outing...neat family history...very good presented. A little more...thats it...
This was a fantastic experience I am still talking about 2 months later. Anna Laura and her mother were the best. Friendly, informative, and accommodating. This family run winery is totally organic and the passion shared by the family and their employees is amazing. Thank you for a wonderful experience. AnnaLaura, please remember to let me know when you are in the states. Would absolutely love to see you and your mom again.
What a wonderful experience! A warm and gracious family at Tili Winery with the most beautiful scenario you can imagine. A great time learning of the wines , olive oil and balsamic vinegar of the region.
