The guide didn't have any identifying sign at the check in point. We had to wait in all the lines just like everyone else. The guide must have been new to being a guide -- she was not organized while trying to explain locations or sites. She would go through a book she was carrying about Assisi and try to find the pages to explain. The tour was not 2 hours. Lastly, she was difficult to understand, her English was very limited.

Your journey begins at the Sanctuary of the Spoliation (Santuario della Spogliazione), where the tomb of Saint Carlo Acutis, the first millennial saint, is located. Learn about his deep love for the Eucharist, his devotion to the Virgin Mary, and how his modern life of faith continues to inspire young people and families around the world.
The basilica is dedicated to the founder of the Poor Clares and spiritual companion of Saint Francis. Discover Saint Clare’s life of humility, prayer, and courage, and learn about her profound devotion to the Eucharist and her role in the Franciscan movement.
One of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Catholic world. Admire the exterior of the basilica and learn about the life, conversion, and mission of Saint Francis, whose message of peace, poverty, and love for creation transformed the Church and continues to resonate today.

The guide was fantastic. He went above and beyond when he took us around. Such detailed information was not expected. We had a great time.
Huge crowds on our visit day. Be patient. Guide had lots of information on the sites. Crowds detracted but not the fault of the guide. Recommend visit on weekdays.
We happened to be there on the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis. We were not able to visit St. Clare. We saw the tomb of St. Carlo. There was a celebration of the feast with many dignitaries and clergy. We received a blessing and a plenary indulgence from the bishop of Assisi. The town was very crowded but I’m so glad we were able to be there. Our guide, Michaela, was very knowledgeable and helpful.
We could tell that our guide had very similar shared values and had extensive knowledge of these Saints and their impact on Assisi!
The two of us had a personal tour with Catya. She was filled with great stories and information. This was a wonderful tour! Highly recommend.
Katia was fabulous- she waited for us because we were late from traffic and gave a a very comprehensive beautiful tour. Her tidbits about Assisi history and the saints were unforgettable
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She was a joy to show us the lives of these three great saints.
Catia Pierini, our Tour Guide, was most excellent & very knowledgeable making our tour of Assisi so enjoyable! Her personality is lovely & she made our tour so wonderful with little gifts & personal touches throughout. I highly recommend Catia!
Our tour guide was Katia and she was extremely knowledgeable on the different saints lives and gave us plenty of time to pray at each of the locations we visited. We would highly recommend her for future tours. She was also really good at taking pictures and knowing the best locations for them.
Maria brought the saints to life for us! She had us walk in their footsteps and explained the history at that time, making their sacrifices even more amazing. Thank you Maria!
As a practicing Catholic, I’ve read about St Francis and St Claire but actually walking in their footsteps and having our wonderful guide explain the history helped me understand their incredible sacrifices and courage much more. Taking the time to slow down and step into their lives is an unforgettable experience.
Maria Rita is a WONDERFUL tour guide. She is thorough, patient, and knowledgeable. She brought Assisi to life. The amazing St. Francis, the special St. Clare, and their families are now part of us!
The visits were very good, our guide Arnaldo was excellent, he explained everything with the most important details. We highly recommend!!!
