We just returned to the US and were with a group of 35 people for a Catholic Pilgrimage. The only good thing about this hotel is its proximity to the Basilica di Santa Marai degli Angeli. The rooms looked original to when the property was built, the shower had ALOT of mold in it, the heated towel rack was so hot that it heated the entire room to an uncomfortable temperature. We couldn't turn it down and we had to ask the staff 3 times to turn it off. The bathroom was so small that we couldn't put our personal items in there. The employees were nice, however that's not enough for us to stay here again. Definitely would not recommend.

Traveling in a tour group of Rome and Assisi, we stayed for 4 nights at the Assisi Dal Moro Gallery Hotel in mid-October 2025. Based on our stay, our opinion is that the hotel is a sub-standard, a “2 star” hotel. There was no A/C (we were told that they had “winterized” the HVAC, so it was impossible to have A/C), and opening the windows for ventilation allowed street noise and pigeons - yes pigeons - in; there was pigeon poop on the inside ledge. Our room was small (even by European standards), and hallway noise was common. The room carpet was stained, with a slightly larger than tablet-sized TV, and an acrylic desk chair. When we complained to the front desk about the TV size, we were told that all the room TVs were the same size. We knew this was not true, as we had spoken with several other guests. The bathroom was cramped with very limited counter space. It had no facial tissues, and the very small shower had mold in several areas - see photos. Breakfast was limited in food and beverages. Dinner was mediocre with a few exceptions. The front desk manager was cold and brash. There was, however, a young man at the desk who was always very helpful. The hotel was far below what it showed/stated on its public website - e.g., photos vs. reality, no live piano music in the lobby.
It's a nice gallery hotel. It's bigger than it looks from the outside. The room arrangements or the building layout is confusing esp for the elderly. We were lucky to have a room that has a balcony that's facing the street. They serve good food! Plenty of restaurants nearby if you want to eat out. The Basilica de Santa Maria degli Angeli is a 3- minute walk.
This is a fabulous family run hotel a little way away from Assisi. The restaurant is very good. All the team are wonderful people who go out of their way to help. The hotel is in the main (mostly pedestrian) street of Santa Maria degli Angeli - surrounded by restaurants/bars and a stone’s throw from the Basilica. A great base to visit the region by car, but you can use trains and buses as well.
Room was very nice. Large balcony. Bathroom bigger than average, water gets hot quickly. Awesome shower head. The breakfast and dinner is excellent for a group booking. Much better than any hotel I've been in Italy. They also do a great job catering for vegan and vegetarian customers, something other hotels don't do well. Thanks Dal Moro!
