I originally planned to join a group for the Kilimanjaro day hike, but no other hikers were booked that day, so I ended up hiking alone with my guide. It turned out to be a really enjoyable experience. My guide Roman was very considerate and adjusted the pace to my needs. We had good conversations along the way, and he shared a lot about Kilimanjaro, the nature around us and the routes up to the summit, and pointed out plants and wildlife on the trail. The pick-up in Arusha and the drive to the start of the hike and back were well organised and problem-free. As a solo female traveller, I was a bit unsure beforehand, but I felt safe and well looked after the whole time. I can highly recommend this tour and Roman as a guide.

I did a one-day hiking tour on Mount Kilimanjaro through the Marangu Route, and it was such a beautiful experience. We hiked through the rainforest, enjoyed the fresh mountain air, and saw amazing scenery along the way. Reaching Mandara Hut made me feel proud even though it was just a day trip. An amazing day hike to Kilimanjaro National Park was offered by Ismani Tours and Safaris. Our driver returned us safely to the hotel after picking us up at the appointed hour. Our extremely informed guide, Yusuph, gave us a wealth of fascinating information about Tanzania and the National Park while we were traveling. Additionally, the food was excellent. Everything was already settled and shared but then they started with additional costs. But worst part was the selection of guides. The guide texted and called after the tour. I blocked him and he even appeared at my hotel at night. Really freaky. I can not recommend to book a tour with this company

We took a day hike to the Kilimanjaro with Ismani and it was simple amazing. Very professional, super fun!!! We joined a group and we were a total of 7 people. He picked us up from the hotel in Arusha and took us all the way to Kilimanjaro and back safely. It was the best choice!!! Highly recommended if you want to taste the experience of hiking the Kilimanjaro but you are not a pro climber. Recommendations - if you don’t like chicken, ask for the veggie lunch box ( we received veggie samosas, egg rolls, boiled eggs, fruits and yogurt) - even when you are not a pro climber I recommend to take hiking shoes and not simple sport sneakers as the trail might be slippery. Enjoy!!!

Our experience with Ismani tours and safaris for our Kilimanjaro trek was disappointing. The only saving grace was our guide, Tyson, who was fantastic, but the agency itself left much to be desired. First of all, the tour started an hour late. There was a clear miscommunication about the route we had booked, which added unnecessary stress to the experience. Customer service was disappointing. We received no communication from the agency prior to the tour, aside from payment and invoicing details. They didn’t even inform us about the pick-up time until we reached out to them the night before, which is simply unacceptable. To make matters worse, the agency didn't even provide our guide, Tyson, with proper trekking shoes or clothes. It's shocking that a company offering such a service would neglect the well-being of their own staff. The only reason I'm not giving a 1-star review is because of Tyson, who was helpful, knowledgeable, and cared about our safety and experience. It's a shame that the agency doesn't seem to share his level of commitment. I would not recommend Ismani tours and safaris to anyone planning a Kilimanjaro trek.

It was to be another highlight, instead a nightmare. Pickup 8:45 instead of 6:30 without being informed - valuable time that was missing for the hiking. The Guide Peter, plunging drunk, lamenting, rabble and demotivated - an imposition and irresponsible! In addition, misinformation: Water in plastic bottles not allowed, strict controls, 17h instead of 18h the NP .. closes all lying. At 9h50 the hiking finally started and it was rushed and immediately set to speed. It quickly became clear that due to the delayed start the Machame Hut can never be reached (start about 10h +5h ascent = 15h, short break , descent 15h30 + 3h = 18h30) to be back at the gate in time for closing. A serious, professional agency would have cancelled the tour because the promised services could not be provided.
