Big Five Luxury Safari In Tanzania

Meet more than our expectations. I am nearly 80y and no problems doing this trip. Long drives, we are from Australia where we also have long drives to places. Our guide Hassan was wonderful and his knowledge enhanced our experience. Saw the big 5 more than once. Only 1 black rhino, Serengeti but many other animals that are free to roam. My favourite time was an afternoon in the Serengeti, away from others finding giraffe, my favourite, and other animals. Learning from Hassan how they survive. Memories never to be forgotten.

We had the most incredible 7-day safari through Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We saw the Big Five multiple times and even witnessed the Great Migration in the Northern Serengeti! Our guide, Israel, was exceptional! He went above and beyond to get us the best views of the wildlife and always made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. His knowledge and passion made the experience even more special. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for the full Tanzanian safari experience. A truly unforgettable adventure!

Had a great time thanks to all the syaff at the various venues but especially thanks to our safari guide Peter Minja. Who went above and beyond to get us the best photographic and videographic moments with the animals of the serengeti and ngorongoro crater as well as lake manyara. Well worth the price we paid and more!

Where do I even begin? What an absolutely incredible experience! We were a group of six friends travelling together for a 7-day, 6-night safari in Tanzania, and I can honestly say it was one of the most amazing experiences of our lives! From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well organised. The entire team made sure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to simply relax, enjoy ourselves, and experience the magic of Tanzania. The accommodation was fantastic, the landscapes were breathtaking, and the wildlife encounters were beyond anything we could have imagined. We were lucky enough to see all the animals (including Big 5) we had dreamed of seeing! But what truly made this safari unforgettable was our incredible guide, Hassan from Zara Tours! Hassan is an absolute legend! Not only is he extremely professional, knowledgeable, and experienced, but he also has an amazing personality. He is funny, friendly, patient, and genuinely passionate about what he does. His knowledge of the wildlife and the parks was outstanding, and he always seemed to know exactly where to take us for the best sightings. We laughed so much throughout those seven days! Hassan made every single day an adventure, and by the end of the trip, he wasn’t just our guide anymore — he had become a genuine friend. ❤️ It’s rare to meet someone who combines such professionalism with so much warmth, humour, and kindness. He made our safari special in ways that go far beyond simply seeing the animals. We had a four day safari and we were completely blown away with all we seen and how excellent Zara Tours were! Our pick up and drop offs were timely and always an agreed time. The car was always clean and comfortable. Lunch and water were provided. The locations were jaw dropping and it was amazing to see animals in different settings from the Serengeti to Manyara National Park. Our guide, Bakari or ‘Boka’, was absolutely unreal - we got to see the big five and he was so warm, helpful and knowledgeable about the Serengeti and the Ngorogoro Crater. He had 20 years experience and it really showed - he knew the best routes and seemed to have know about where the animals were! He respected the wildlife whilst making sure we got an excellent view of each of the big 5! He truly made our experience all the better and his patience and kindness was faultless. We can’t appreciate Zara tours enough for making this a trip of a lifetime!

Tenga specifically was fantastic. He knows what he’s doing around the roads and backroads(especially in the Serengeti). He knows how to get the best photos and he is eagle eyes.

We had the most incredible experience on our Tanzania safari and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better trip. We had an amazing experience on this safari! The guide was meeting our wishes and was very friendly! He could answer all of our questions. The hotel and camp were clean and the staff was friendly. The time schedule was good. The food was good, the lunch could have been a little more/fresher (the hot food got cold and the cold food got warm). Overall we had a great experience and I recommend this tour!

Everything was perfektly Fine and absolutly amazing. The only negative I can say are the Long car rides with the horrible streets.

★★★★★ Peter was an excellent safari guide throughout our entire safari, and played a huge part in making the experience so memorable. From Tarangire to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, he was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife, the parks and the different areas we visited. He was particularly good at spotting animals that we would have otherwise completely missed, and always took the time to explain what we were seeing and answer all our questions. We were especially impressed with his knowledge of the Serengeti and the Great Wildebeest Migration. He understood the behaviour and movements of the animals and knew where to look for wildlife, which gave us some fantastic sightings. We saw elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest and many other animals, and Peter consistently made sure we had the best possible opportunities to observe and photograph them. He was also very patient and accommodating throughout the long game drives, never making us feel rushed and always prioritising our experience. His knowledge of the parks and ability to spot wildlife made a big difference, particularly during our time in Northern Serengeti around the Mara River. Overall, Peter was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about what he does. Insane trip. The safari was incredible. Trip of a lifetime. The animals and the views are unbelievable. Our guide Hassan made it all possible, the trip wouldn't have been the same without him. He made the trip very informative as well as being funny and a great guy to talk to. He made sure we got the full experience seeing the whole big 5 and many, many more. What an incredible experience! We completed 6 day safari and it was amazing..Absolute bucket list item that exceeded all my expectations, which were very high anyway, largely due to our incredible Guide, Hassan. Nothing was too much trouble. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals, went above and beyond to ensure we saw everything we wanted to see. His communication around pick up times and plans for the day was exemplary and put us right at ease. Some of the journeys were long but they flew by due to Hassan's personality and good laughs. He made us feel very special by arranging a secret celebration at our hotel for us for our honeymoon. Could not recommend this trip or guide any more!!

This is a once in a life time experience, it exceeded our expectations in every way possible. Papuu was our guide and he truly made our trip and we cannot thank him enough, he is incredibly knowledgeable as well as a very experienced driver knowing where to find place us so we had incredible and close up views of all the animals. He really was the star of the show! We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater, lake manyara and visited a masai village. All incredible experiences. All the people we met along the way were very approachable and friendly. I am gluten free and they couldn’t be more accommodating making sure I had a special lunch made up and talked me through all the food at tea time. We highly recommend this tour to anyone thinking about it, we don’t have a bad word to say and we were very sad when the experience came to an end. We will cherish the memories from this trip forever.

We had such a fantastic safari with Hassan, who provided us with a unique experience, seeing the Big 5 and plenty of other animals. He provided us with so many interesting facts and helped us with all of our questions. The accommodations were amazing too. All in all, we had such a great time!

Amazing adventure & lots of special memories. Our driver Madeal was an excellent guide with specialist knowledge and a genuine desire to give us the best time possible. Felt safe in his hands which was very important given the roads, terrains and wild animals. All staff very friendly and eager to help. Great support between vehicles.

We had the most amazing safari trip in Tanzania! We got to experience so many animals and got to observe their natural behaviour. Our guide, Amiri, was incredible and could tell us everything we wanted to know - and he was very aware of making our dreams come true - which he definitely did! Papuu, the name of the guide is an amazing guide. He knows a lot. And when I say a lot, I mean a lot. He knows when he must be calm and he knows when you want to hear some information about the animals, plants or other things in Tanzania. His English is also good. Just a lovely and funny guy!

We had a wonderful experience here in Tanzania. Not only because of the beauty of the country, but most of all because of our tour guide, Papuu. He went above and beyond to give us the best possible experience. He was very knowledgeable about all the animals and gave us lots of interesting information about everything we saw and let us taste local foods on our way. He was also a great travel companion and made the whole trip even better. Expensive, but definitely worth the experience.

At first I have to say that our guide Hassan was one of the most sympathetic persons I met here in Tanzania. He had an answer to every question and offered us a safari experience that you don't get everywhere. I am really happy to have met him. With him, the safari was an unforgettable tour that I will not forget my whole life. Thank you for everything Hassan! The hotel and the wild camp were also beautiful places and the people we met there were always kind and sympathetic. I enjoyed this trip very very much and can only recommend it!!!

Our guide and driver Twaha is amazing. He knows history, geography and animals to a very high degree. Speaks very good English and is a safe and careful chauffeur in very difficult conditions. He showed us 37 different animal species and told us about them. We saw “Big Five” several times, including litters of lion cubs and elephants at very close range - without other safari cars nearby. He has my very best recommendations. Cheers Erling

What an amazing experience! Twaha our guide was exceptional in building up the experience, impressing us time and time again with his ability to find the animals, including the Big 5. Though there was a lot of driving to get to the parks, Twaha ensured that the transport was eventful with good stories and breaks at interesting sights. All the hotels were lovely with good food.

We have had a wonderful 4 day/5 night safari through the Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara with Zara Adventures. Our guide, Boissey/Nurdeen (apologies for the spelling) really made the safari for us. He was incredibly knowledgeable and respectful of the local flora and fauna, explaining how the ecosystem worked as well about the local communities and religions. His spotting ability amazed us, seeing animals with the naked eye that we struggled to see with the binoculars. Anybody would lucky to have him as their safari guide.

Excellence experience after coming back 21 years later doing the same safari with Zara again. Joe, our driver and the rest of the team at the Lodges / Camps did a great job.

We had a fabulous safari! From the booking through the efficient and friendly Joseph Msongo, to our brilliant guide and driver Hassan. Hassan’s knowledge, skills and experience were outstanding! We saw the Big Five, The Ugly Five and the wildebeest migration. The major highlight for us was seeing the wildebeest doing the Mara River Crossing, on seven different occasions over two days. 6/7 day safari experience with a private Land Cruiser for 4 people The driver Peter Mingle was very good prompt informative and personable. We had some great laughs and some fab lunches !! Ikoma camp accommodation was amazing and big shout out to Miriam Two centre accommodation the other was more basic but absolutely amazing views
