In the spirit of full disclosure, Elisante, my driver from a trip over a year ago, reached out to me to ask if I would write a review of my trip. I hope that it says something that even over the passage of a year, I am willing to write a review of my time in Tanzania and the people who made the trip so special. In a nutshell, your guide has a significant impact on your overall experience. The highlights of the trip are seeing the animals up close, taking in the spectacular views, and interacting with the locals, but these experiences are much enhanced with a quality guide. I am happy to report that Elisante and his team meet that bar. Elisante was familiar with the terrain and spots that the animals frequent. He knew where to stop or slow down for opportunistic photos. Lastly, he managed to make us feel at ease when meeting new people on our journey. I think it is worth mentioning some of the overlooked aspects of his service. He would que in line on our behalf while we rested. The Landrover was cleaned and taken care of constantly; this is a tall order when traveling in an open car with dirt roads. And he had the patience and grace to handle more demanding guests. I know it breaks the cadence of three examples in writing, but i feel compelled to tell one more tid bit. On our way to the Serengeti, the window was smashed by a stray rock kicked up by another vehicle. No one was hurt, but Elisante was calm and collected and patched the window on the spot. Thank you for making it this far. I will wrap this up and say my experience was superb and you are in good hands with Elisante and his team.

As part of my trip to Tanzania, Africa, I did a safari. Our tour guide, Elisante, from African Savannah Trekkers was absolutely amazing! He picked us up from the air strip and was with us for the entirety of the tour. He was so very knowledgeable about all the animals and surroundings that it really enriched the safari experience. He was also very flexible and accommodating for alternate routes we needed to take due to rain or other vehicles malfunctioning. Elisante also made sure we got the best angles and views for our pictures of the animals and the safari surrounding areas. He even took us to a shopping center and reminded us to bargain. We also added a visit to the Maasai tribe. This just made the trip so much more special. I would highly recommend Elisante and his company.

My wife and I planned and recently completed a 5-day private safari with this tour operator and if you are considering booking with this company, I recommend it! The itinerary itself was packed and allowed us to enjoy all the different excursions in Tanzania without having to worry about the logistics. My husband, our daughter and I had an absolutely fabulous time. We had an amazing experience on our safari with this tour operator. Everything was top-notch, from the moment we landed at the airstrip to when we were taken back. Our guide, was excellent. He showed us the great migration, as well as many other animals, such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and impalas. We went on early morning and evening drives, and we learned a lot about the animals and their behaviors. We also learned about the culture of Tanzania. Our breakfasts and lunches were both delicious, and we enjoyed eating them out on the Serengeti. The staff at the accommodation were excellent. They were all very friendly and helpful. we are short of words for we enjoyed the trip throughout the 5 days. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We decided to organize our Safari experience in Tanzania with African Savannah Trekkers as a close friend suggested us this super agency and we couldn’t be more happy! We embraced Philomena suggestions and we went for a 5 days/4 nights Safari: it was the most incredible experience ever! We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara parks with our private English-speaker and super cool driver/guide Isaac, almost able to see all the big 5 thanks to his great experience: he always knew which road to take 😊 Moreover, he had great knowledge about all animals life and flora, making the tour even more valuable. The service of the agency was excellent and the trip very well organized. The night before our Safari departure Philomena visited us in our hotel to give us all details and information about the trip and during the tour was always available in case of any need. An amazing experience! My husband and I recently honeymooned in Tanzania and took a trip to various parks there for 7 days. From the time we landed at the airport to when we were taken back, everything was top-notch. Everything from when we checked in, to the food, amenities, and our amazing game drives with Elisante blew our minds. I recently went on a safari to Tanzania with African Savannah Trekkers, and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The company did an amazing job of organizing the trip, and the service was great from start to finish. They were also very patient and answered all of our questions precisely. We visited three of Tanzania's most popular national parks: Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. In each park, we saw an incredible variety of animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, hippos, and many more. The operation had spectaclar and quick communication, they were very responsive during the whole booking process and we felt confident trusting them. We were picked up at the airport by Eli our guide and when we saw him we knew it would be a great trip. He is very charming! We started with a long drive to Manyara and as the safari progressed we visited other national parks like Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti . This trip turned out to be way better than we had expected. The team went above and beyond to meet our needs and made sure we were satisfied. It was truly a lifetime experience! The organisation of the tour was very quick and easy. There were very quick responses and forthcoming. Everything worked out perfectly! The accomodations during the trip exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide surprised us with his excellent English. He was really making an effort during the tour to make sure we get to see the big five and so much more. He's a safe driver and if you want to learn more about the animals or cultural aspects of the country he's willing to answer all of your questions. We had a great time on our 5-day private safari organized by African savannah. The communication was good throughout the booking process. Every question I had about the safari was answered and the response was relatively quick, which was very helpful! When we arrived in Tanzania everything worked out even better than we thought. Pickup at the agreed time and we leave for our trip. Everything went very smoothly and we have nothing to complain about. The Lodges we stayed at were great and we had the best drives with Richard- our guide-he was exceptional, and he really made a difference. He is very pleasant and did everything he could to make our trip something we would remember. It was a marvelous experience and the team took really good care of us the whole time. We spotted animals from far away, we saw the big5 including 2 leopards which is really rare, and a lion hunt + kill among a lot of other wildlife. We felt safe and had an adventurous trip. A truly remmarkable and amazing experience overall. We visited Serengeti,Ngorongoro, Manyara and Tarangire national parks in a 5 days trip.All the hotels were very good,the food too, and everything was prepared to enjoy a real safari experience. The jeep we used was big, comfortable and always clean.This was not my first safari but was certainly my favorite. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience was in Tanzania, all made possible by the caring, professional people at African Savannah. I had a mind blowing safari in the Tanzanian national parks with African Savannah Trekkers. Everything from the planning, to coordinating my arrival, stay and departure was as smooth as it can be. We enjoyed a 5 day safari tour and had the most amazing time. Not only was the wildlife unbelievable but this company exceeded our expectations in so many ways.We enjoyed every single minute in Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorogoro. Our very professional and friendly guide spotted every single animal and explained a lot about the parks and the behavior of the animals. We saw the big five, as well as cheetahs with babies, leopards, zebras, giraffes, baboons, all kind of birds and many more. Our picnic lunch in the park was delicious and plenty of water available for drinking. Our absolute highlight was the morning in Serengeti where we stayed at a beautiful tented lodge, where we could hear lions roaring, hyenas laughing and zebras eating at night. We’ve really never experienced something like this before. But of course all the other places where amazing as well! The food was delicious and there was also plenty of choice for us as vegetarians. All game drives were a lot of fun and our guide was an excellent driver and we enjoyed the conversations with him. The communication with African Savannah was really good and replies really fast. My family and I just got back from a month in Tanzania, and it was the best vacation any of us have ever had. African Savannah was a big part of our time in Tanzania, and they did a fantastic job! We had booked an 8 day safari with them and visited a good number of national parks. The communication was very smooth and the entire booking process was flawless. Very professional handling and I liked it. We started our trip with Eli, who was fantastic. He was very welcoming, was great with our kids, and worked exceptionally hard for us. He knew so much about the different animals, and really helped us understand them and the places we went to. He taught us a little Swahili, and made sure we all had an awesome time. He was very patient when we wanted to stop to look at different things. The safari jeeps were awesome, and had charging stations and cool water in them for us to use as necessary. We booked a tailor made private tour (7 days) with African Savannah Trekkers. At a very affordable price. Philomena, the coordinator, was so helpful and reassuring. She did everything to meet our needs. We planned out the day by day, over several months. All details where professionally handled by Philomena, and we are so grateful for everything she did. She was able to answer all of our questions and concerns. It was amazing to visit beautiful Tanzania, The Serengeti plains, Ngorongoro Crater and Tanrangire national Park. The total tally of animals we saw on the whole trip: 25 lions, 4 Leopards, 4 Cheetas ... plus, Eland Deer, Dik-Dik, Thompson Gazelle, Turtles, Black faced monkeys, Striped Snake, Donkeys, Wilderbeast, Marabou Stork, Impalas, Hippoptamus, Giraffe, Warthogs, Buffalo, Crocodiles, Flamingo, Heart Beasts, Mongoose, Zebra, Topi, Jackal, Baboon, Elephant, Flamingos, Pelicans, Rock Herricks, Hyena, Ostrich, and too many bird species to name here, Weaver Birds, Starlings, Buzzards, Guinea Fowls, Falcons. We also saw the very elusive Serval. And fortunately, the icing on the cake - one White Rhino ! We were definitely pleased with our choices of parks, but two days (in stead of one) in Tarangire, would have been a better choice, just so much wildlife there. The whole trip was so memorable and just truly amazing. The safari is an unforgettable memory. It will stay in our hearts forever.

We took a 'bucket list' trip in Tanzania with African Savannah Trekkers traveling to several national Parks, including Manyara,Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire.The parks had an abundance of wildlife and beautiful scenery. We saw lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, and more. From the day we arrived in Arusha all the arrangements were properly followed in addition the team was very adaptable to our requests our guide Gasper excelled in navigating the roads, and spotting the wildlife. He is quite knowledgeable about the animals. Needless to say, we learned a lot from him. Overall, the accommodations were excellent, the food was delicious, and the service was first class. It was an unforgettable trip. We highly recommend this operator! I cannot rave about this company enough! We chose to do our safari with them and we were not disappointed! They were the perfect agency to take us around Tanzania. There were lots of little beautiful surprises: the crocodile stop, lunch next to the lake. It was all so amazing! Very best Safari with African Savannah Trekkers My son and I had our first Safari , 8 days in June 2022. Philomena had arranged it beautifully, according to our many detailed e-mail conversations. She was service minded and open to our requests, as well as patient with our many questions. When we actually met with Philo in Tanzania, she impressed me with her high professionalism, integrity and sweet concern. Philo looked after us when we arrived in Arusha. She was in touch over the phone a few times during the actual Safari week. And she came to see us well off, on the day of our departure. Safari gamedrives, accommodations, meals and lunch boxes were all very fine. Especially our skilled driver and excellent guide, Paul, made the actual 8 day Safari an experience of a lifetime, for me. Being an elderly person from Denmark , I was initially a bit apprehensive, about contacting and dealing with a local African provider of Safari, on the internet. However, I found both Philo and Paul most trustworthy. And I felt safe and taken care of from the very first day, when we landed at Kilimanjaro Airport. Day 1 on the Safari Paul took us on a gamedrive to Tarangire National Park. Here we saw a lion couple, an elephant family with calfs close up, an old male elephant who took a nap, and several giraffes. As well as many Zebra herds alongside with Wildebeest and Gazelles. Plus a very, very old Baobab tree. In Tarangire we had the highest concentration of wildlife encounters, during the whole Safari. We spent the night at Karatu Lodge, Marera Valley, which was booked as a middle range accommodation. To my standard it was luxurious. The staff was kind, and food was delicious. Our cottage was comfortable, with a beautiful view over a coffee plantation and the hills. Day 2, on our way to Serengeti , we visited the arcaological museum at Olduvai Gorge. The site is the assumed cradle of Homo Sapiens. Very interesting, facinating and educational . We spent the night at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp. Day 3 - 5 we went to Serengeti National Park. Our gamedrives went through only part of Central Serengeti, but still covered a vast area. We stayed two nights at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp. A very charming accommodation in midst of the Savannah, with a fine long distance view. In the early mornings and in the evening, a Masai accompanied us to and fro, between the restaurant and our luxury tented shelter. He carried a tall stick and a torch. That was assuring, when darkness had fallen on the Savannah. On the gamedrives in the Serengeti, we got many close up photos of elephants, giraffes, lions and cheetaes. As well as (to us) exotic birds. All thanks to our highly experienced guide Paul. He managed to track the wildlife and position the vehicle. This way we got fine photos, even though our only photo equipment was a mobilephone. We even saw several leopards, at relatively short distance. Paul made every gamedrive a uniqe experience. As a Safari guide Paul is really one in a million. He has huge knowledge of the local wildlife, and a fine sense of how to get near shy creatures. Any question from us about flora or fauna, that he might not have an immediate answer to, he would soon look up and clarify. Paul was allways attentative and in a good mood, during the whole trip. Paul possesses a rare combination of professionalism and an ability to relate on a personal level. Without becoming private. I much appreciated his good company. Day 6 - 8 in the morning we had gamedrive in Serengeti, and later the same day went to Ngorongoro Highlands. We spent one night at Rhino Lodge. The accommodation and food was very good, and the staff friendly and helpfull. In the highlands it was rainy and a bit cold. So it was nice, when the staff lit a fireplace in our room, for the night. The next night we spent at Karatu Lodge, once again. Still very fine. The last two days of the Safari we entered Ngorongoro Crater. You go down 600 meters into the caldera. Down and out of the morning mist, we saw lush greenery everywhere. I was fascinated by driving around among the wildlife, with the crater walls / hills towering above, all around. There are several freshwater springs in the crater, which sustain wildlife. We saw elephant herds, giraffes and baboons on the slopes. On the crater floor we saw the now familar herds of horned and hoofed animals. Including hippoes in the swamps. In the soda lake there were floks of flamingoes. We followed a lion couple close up. And we even saw a big Rhino at some distance. At that point we had ticked off, all of The Big Five  I feel lucky, that we chose African Savannah Trekkers, amongst the many providers of Safari Tours. It was a privilege to meet Philo, and to spend time with Paul on the gamedrives. Asante sana ! I hope, that their boss shows them deserved appreciation, for their dedicated work in the team. They must be an invaluable contribution to the business firm.

African Savannah Trekkers is an excellent tour operator! I always say that if we (travel community) keep being honest with the reviews we will all benefit from it. That said, if this is your first Safari trip and  you don't know anyone that could recommend you a tour operator (like us), I would strongly recommend you trust the great reviews of African S Trekkers like we did. We have been in contact with many tour operators but what really caught our attention was the detailed emails that we were receiving back from Philomena to our endless questions. She's been really professional and quickly replied to all our "first time" Safari organisers questions. She allowed us plenty of time to decide without pushing us and sent proof of received payments as soon as they've received the deposit and final payment. We did the 4 days/3 nights tour, visiting Tarangire, Ngorogoro crater, Serengeti and Lake Manyara. The program has been exactly the one that had been previously discussed by emails, no unpleasant surprises. Our guide, Eli, picked us up from the hotel with the classic 4x4 Safari Jeep (great vehicle condition, with openable roof, fridge,  power sockets and a professional set of Pentax binoculars to be used by the clients). Eli is such a nice guy!!! Very polite and friendly, speaks fluent English, he's an excellent tour guide and drives really safe. He provided lots of information both during the transfer to the parks and during the game drive. Mainly, he's been amazing on spotting animals, getting close to them and on keeping our car as far as possible from other vehicles, making possible for us to be the only vehicle in a huge safari area for many times, watching animals on our own and enjoying all the quiet of the nature (thanks Eliiii!!!). I'm honestly saying that the tour went beyond expectations! On day 1 we went to Tarangire for a long game drive and in the evening drove to Hhando Coffe L for night stay. On the early morning of day 2 we descent Ngorogoro crater , stayed till the afternoon (plenty of time to visit Ngorogoro)and then drove to Serengeti park. The road to Serengeti was super nice and when we got there we had an evening of game drive. Day 3, a long game drive in Serengeti park and in the evening back to Hhando Lodge. Day 4 we had a game drive in Lake Manyara and back to Arusha. The game drive time has been much more than what expected and we managed to see the big 5,  once again thanks to Eli's knowledge of the park best sites. The accomodations where also superb. Hhando coffe Lodge is located near the Ngorogoro gate. It's a beautiful bungalows resort with swimming pool. It's in new conditions and with a great interior design, everything works perfectly (like the hot water) and the bungalows have private terrace with excellent view over the jungle. Serengeti Heritage Tent camp is also a little gem located inside the Serengeti Park. The individual tents are huge and the private bathroom very nice. Again, all working in perfect condition. The outside lounge area overlooking the park It's very nice and we have enjoyed a drink around the outside fire watching the sunset. Food was great and abundant in every meal, including the picnic packet lunch. To answer some of the main faq you might have ( I had all these questions in my head when I was looking for a tour operator): Yes. Once again, the game drive time will be plenty and your tour guide will allow you plenty of time to take photos. Yes. They are 100% trustable and your payments will also be 100% safe (Tanzanian are great people and I wasn't really doubting,  but it's legitimate to think about it) Yes. The jeep is the same as every other tour operator, with the bonus that windows can be fully lowered, while I've seen other jeeps with half sliding windows only. No. We had not unpleasant surprises, like extra fees or change of programme. No. Even though the total cost was one of the best we found, this is absolutely NOT a budget tour at all. We've had a professional experience and couldn't ask for more. I would recommend you look no further and get in contact with them. My suggestion, if you can, is to stretch for -at least- 1 more day as Serengeti is a huge park. Our 4 days tour has still been great and made a dream come true. Great experience with African Savannah Trekkers! We spent 12 days in national parks and Zanzibar. It was great to have safari to Serengeti,Tarangire, Manyana lake and Ngorongoro crater. We could have a uniqe safari experience ; thanks to Philo and Elisante’s expertise. We had a chance to see wonderful animal sceneries including big 5. Elisante was knowledgeable about all aspects of the safari; he could find animals that many other guides could not. Camps were comfortable and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Staying in the bush listening to animals in our tent was wonderful. We spent 3 days in Zanzibar. The island is spectacular and the people was very kind and nice. Our hotel Langi Langi Beach Bungalows was vey good. Rasta is an amazing chef and manager, Food was fantastic ! Philo arranged local tours (Safari Blue picnic, Stone town and Prison Island tours, Dolphine tour) which were really great! We highly recommend African Savannah Trekkers. We spent 4 nights and 5 days on our Safari trip in Tanzania with African Savannah Trekkers this June. We have amazing memories of African wildlife, and appreciate all the service  from the beggining until the end very of our trip. The route was built very competently. Every day complements with new interesting impressions. We already had the experience of independent safaris, so there was something to compare with! We have had a great safari trip of 8 days and 7 nights through the beautiful country of Tanzania. We visited 5 parks in a comfortable jeep and the experience was delightful! This company is definitely the way to go when you want to support local Tanzanian businesses, as well as have one of the best safari products. They provided the best services and guides for our 4 nights and 5 day safari. They have the access to some of the best camps in all the national parks we visited. The accomodation in the mids of Tarangire was the cherry on the top! The food served was delicious and they truly went out of their way to ensure we are all having a great time. My family and I had an awesome short trip in Tanzania, thanks to this tour operator that facilitated a big part of it. It was a joyous and memorable one. The tour guide was polite and patient with us. He was quite knowledgeable, especially about where to take good photos of the view and animals. Not only is it one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five, it also counts among the world’s most important bird watching destinations. This was by far the greatest trip I have ever experienced. It was a meaningful and sustainable as well as enjoyable 4 night and 5 day trip. My highlight of the trip is when we witnessed a lion kill, had a close up encounter with a big cat whilst on foot! Seeing these animals in person, staying at the lodges bonfire paired me with, and having a great experience with this company was everything.The itinerary was well drawn and followed,communication with the company was excellent not to forget the accomodation. We really liked the amenities, the service was so good and our stay was relaxing. Much appreciation to AST,your efforts have not gone unnoticed. Rich of all kind of wildlife. It was the most beautiful holiday in our life.We were stuned of a lot of animals.And they all were very near.We had a lot of good emotions ant beautiful time with our best guide Elisante and agency African Savannah Trekkers. We had very interesting time in maasai village. There were intresting insperions to know about theyr customs and theyr's life. Tanzania should be the world's finest destination. It has very natural advantage and the most extraordinary range of landscapes. This trip to the savannah offered the classic image of a safari in Africa, and rightly so; the rolling hills and grassy plains really are stocked full of all the African animals people expect to see, including the crowd-pulling Big Five. My husband and i just returned from a 4nights 5 day safari neatly organized by this tour operator. The circuit was exactly as mentioned in the itinerary and our overall impression was excellent! The communication was superb, fast and straight to the point, as all our questions were answered, doubts were cleared and attended to by email as well as by phone. From the minute the trip started to when it ended, we experienced no hustles! Full marks to African Savannah Trekkers on that count. I highly recommend organizing a trip with them. Our guide was Gasper, a great guy with good knowledge on the parks. He was also very patient with us and left most of the decisions on watching particular game to us, but would gently prod if there was something more eye catching. He really made the experience outstanding! We were very lucky to see all of the big 5, a lion pride feasting on an early morning kill in the Serengeti, an elephant charge and more wildlife than you can shake a stick at. The accommodation booked for us was extremely comfortable and enjoyable. Not to forget the jeep that we drove in was in good condition and always spotlessly clean. I cannot compare the great experience we had to anything,we truly enjoyed the tour! Our guide always picked us up on time,he was very diligent with his work alongside being a great companion. He ensured a proper follow up of the safety procedures that assured for our safety and maximum satisfaction. Going on safari is never cheap. Our 5 days and 4 night trip was perfectly organized, from the pickup point  to the visit of Tarangire and the Serengeti national parks,having not forgotten the wonderful Ngorongoro crater. We had a great experience with African Savannah Trekkers and can definitly recommend them to everybody! :) Its one of the few local agencies for safaris so that you support the local people there. Philomena helped us a lot when we had questions and organized everything perfectly. Gasperd (our german-speaking guide) welcomed us directly at Arusha Airport and was a great guide with a lot of experience and knowledge about the national parks and animals. The accomodation in the Serengeti National park was great with an amazing view over the national park. Thanks a lot for the great experience and our honeymoon surprise at the end of the trip :)

I strongly believe that this trip was made special because of Philo’s dedication and patience to tailor the plan to suit exactly what we were looking for. She was connected after we started our safari and provided support when needed until we made it back to Arusha. We forgot our charger in the AirBnb we stayed in when we first arrived in Arusha and she said not worry, she will handle it and she sure did. The best way to sum up our experience with Philo is you will be in safe hands with her and she will have your best interest as a priority. Also, our guide Elie was equally as important as he made sure we had an outstanding experience when making the plan a reality. He always went the extra mile to make sure we get to experience and see the wildlife in the different parks. He is very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information on all the different aspects of the trip (wildlife, parks, villages and random information about the country). I would not say that only luck played a role when seeing rare moments during our safari, but largely due to Elie’s dedication to go the extra mile to make it happen by seeking out information from other guides and following through with driving longer distances to reach these areas. The whole safari was perfectly organized and the communication was quite effective, fast and this company's coordination is quite commendable. The Game Drive was amazing. We saw a lot of animals and different beautiful landscapes. Our guide was really friendly and understanding not to mention his knowledge, he really made the 5 day safari worth every shilling we spent. Above all he made us feel really comfortable,he also told us a lot of interesting facts about the animals, landscapes and Tanzania in general. Everyday was a greater experience than the previous day! We hope to return to Tanzania and work with this tour operator again. Our nights were wonderful and we felt welcome there from the first second we arrived, the location was also amazing. It was the perfect place! On the last day our driver got us safely back to the airport. It was a perfect safari. If you are looking for a company  to organize your safaris i assure you African Savannah trekkers is the best operator. They offer great options at  a good price. We completed 5 day safari visiting Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara and saw a bunch of animals including leopards, cheetah, lions...and enjoyed the beautiful sceneries of Africa that i have always read about. I can't say enough of how incredible the trip was with our guide Chris, as he drove through the plains he ensured we were comfortable. I am currently working on a wildlife project and his vast knowledge in wildlife and nature came quite in handy. He cleared my doubts and answered every question we had ,that was really impressive! The lodges we resided in were quite commendable too, not to mention the food! we sure had an amazing time touring in Tanzania and this company had us completely satisfied. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to switch our vacation from Kenya to Tanzania. I sent out multiple quotes to various companies, but Philomena's prompt response and customer service persuaded me to book through African Savannah Trekkers. From arranging the COVID test in Arusha and waiting at the hospital for our results, to Elisante (our driver and guide) who was both professional and personable, to the overall safari experience with the wildlife and spotting the Big Five, it was a wonderful experience!! We even got to see a leopard up close and personal! Philomena was even to organize last minute transfers to the airport for us since one of our flights was changed and we needed to leave at different times to go to Kilimanjaro. Accommodation review - We stayed in Hhando Coffee Lodge the first and last night - a very quaint lodge just outside of Ngorongoro - and in the Seregenti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp in the Serengeti for nights two and three. The food in the tented camp was delicious and the water pressure in Hhando was exactly what we needed after two nights in the Serengeti. All in all, accommodation was just what was required! Comfortable beds and accommodating staff at both locations! Just note that in both locations, you do not have wifi in the room. There is no wifi at the tented camp (although I did have LTE data on my mobile phone in Serengeti). With both Elisante and Philomena, African Savannah Trekkers has star staff that go above and beyond. I would highly recommend this company to others considering any type of safari in northern Tanzania!

Chose this company among about 10 others. Very individual approach, quick and smooth communications. The price was also the best I could find. Everything was even better than I expected: comfortable driving by a very experienced guide Eli, cozy and comfortable accomodation. We slept well, we never were hungry, we saw the big 5 and many many more animals, Eli and Philomenia took care of every detail of our trip. I highly recommend African Savannah for everyone who wants to have an amazing and safe safari trip!

We were a group of 5 and started our safari on the 15th of December and visited Tarangire,Ngorongoro and Serengeti national parks through African Savannah. Everything was great the accommodation,the guide and of course the experience. While planning the safari with this company, the response to queries was prompt and very polite and for that I highly acknowledge African Savannah! James, our tour guide was very knowledgeable,patient with us and time conscious. He had a lot of information to share about every wild animal or plant! It was the best experience ever. This is truly a flexible and professional company with focus on customer care. It was a beautiful trip and we all enjoyed.

We were a group of 3 and had a 6 day and 5 nights safari. We visited Tarangire,Ngorongoro and Manyara national parks. African savannah can’t be praised better for the wonderful team they are! Considering this is a pandemic period we thought we wouldn’t get to have as much fun but this company went above and beyond to make us enjoy every minute. They went above our expectations and I can never forget this experience in Tanzania,it was one of a kind!

We had a 6 day safari in Tanzania from 20th October to 26th and i must admit it was the best trip we've had. I was with my brother and we really enjoyed. We got to visit Tarangire, Manyara and Ngorongoro national parks. Wonderful time with this tour operator!

We saw everything. It was tough getting here with Covid but we are very grateful we made it. This company went above and beyond to make the experience the best! This is an incredible company and we highly recommend it!
