Balloon Safari & Bush Breakfast In Serengeti - Miracle Experience

This was one of the greatest experiences I have ever done. From the on time pick up and drive to the take off site on which we saw lion and hippo, to the professional nature of the organisation throughout take off, to the flight which was out of this world, our pilot Andrew was fantastic at showing us the best of the Serengeti and his flying allowed us to spot many animals and also take in the vast wilderness. The landing was perfect and then the bush breakfast very good. I have done ballon flights before, even one in the Serengeti with another company and this was the most enjoyable Would definitely recommend and hope to come back again one day.

Out of this world, felt safe. Fantastic crew. Totally go even though it was expensive.

I went into this experience with 0 expectations, and that's how I feel it should be experienced. Waking up in the morning was hard, but if I knew earlier what I wad expecting, I wouldn't have slept all night. It might be expensive for someone, but it was totally worth it and I would pay more. From start to finish, the joyful atmosphere before the flight, the calm while flying, the joy again after landing. One of, or maybe the best experience ever had. Went there for my honeymoon, but I think it's a must for whoever wants to see the beauty of Serengeti from above.

Amazing tour! We had a very early 4am wake up to be driven around 1.5 hours to the launch site from our camp (Malaika). Though there were friendly faces and coffee/tea waiting there us, the highlight was the “loo with a view”! As for the balloon ride itself, it was an incredible experience. Our pilot, Nicola, did a great job getting us in the air and back on the ground. He even helped point out many animals in the Serengeti while piloting the balloon, and also made coffee for some passengers. We got to see the sunrise during take off and enjoy the morning light over the Serengeti. So serene and magical! Lastly- the breakfast was great. Food was delicious and the views were as well. This was a great addition to our honeymoon, and they helped us celebrate it with sparkling wine and cake!

Probably one of the best experiences of my life .. so well organized and absolutely spectacular . Even the guides take off and landing was seamless and so smooth.

The hot-air balloon ride was such a cool experience, and our pilot was wonderful—he kept us feeling comfortable and at ease throughout the flight. Afterward, we were taken to a lovely spot for a delicious breakfast. The photos we received afterward were really great, too—a thoughtful touch and a wonderful way to remember the experience. We had to wake up at 3:45 a.m. because of where we were staying in the Serengeti, but even that turned into part of the adventure: our pickup drive felt like a nighttime safari! Overall, it was a fantastic and memorable way to experience the Serengeti.

Omg this balloon ride was truly magical! Once we were in the air I declared “why have a never done this before?” WOW! Gliding over the Mara River at sunrise with other balloons following us was a spectacular site. And drifting just over the trees so we could see the baboons, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes not even care we were there. Beautiful. If ever in doubt, do it.

We added this hot air balloon trip and it was really fun! Seeing the animals and landscape from above while the sun rose over the Serengeti was an incredible way to start our day. And Captain Filipe was an expert pilot, our take off and landing were gentle and he expertly flew us on a path that gave a good mix of low flybys and higher viewpoints. Landing to a champagne toast and then having a tasty bush breakfast as well was a nice touch. Thank you Miracle Experience, Captain Filipe, and all the crew!

Excellent experience and as described. Pick up from safari lodge - guide stayed overnight at the lodge as it was far from the site. Bit of a night safari on the way to the balloon site. Balloon ride was lovely and smooth. Breakfast was very good and the loos were lovely! Friendly and capable staff. Whole experience was well worth the money and highly recommended.

Highlight of our trip. Early morning, but so worth it! It was amazing!

hard to compare to other companies, but the customer service was top notch from pick up to return. Early morning start; upon arrival, beautiful clean bathrooms and coffee and biscuit service. Thorough safety instructions and in case it was still cold, ponchos were available to be borrowed. The experience was fantastic and unforgettable (our first) and although we saw more animals on a driving safari, it was a unique and different experience. I know, it's expensive, but how many times are you going on safari and on a balloon ride ?? Everything is well staged including landing and as the crew was prepping the balloon for packing, we had a lovely toast and story. Back at camp (with another set of lovely loos - with views!), the staff pumped out hot, to-order breakfasts including eggs and meats and fruits with a delicious assortment of breads and beverages. The staff took a lot of photos and the best part - no nickel and diming to buy photos. Overall, a very professional operation, well choreographed and arranged. Hard to say that it's a "great value" but definitely worth the money.

Good and Bad Transportation and preflight were good. The flight was good and saw lots of animals. The landing was a controlled crash. Those on the lower part of the basket were completely covered with dirt. Some people hit their heads and several had sore necks. The balloon dragged at least 100 yards through dirt, and debris before finally stopping. Maybe our captain “Dan” saved our lives The real problem was the balloon next to us. It partially turned over and people were injured. According to the guide they were rushed away and immediately air evacuated to a hospital. One person returned to our camp that night with her ankle braced. She said the rest remained hospitalized. Over the next several days I asked our guides if they had any more info and they said no. We saw two more Miracle hot air balloon sales areas and I asked the employees if they had any info and they said they did not know what I was talking about The flight itself was as beautiful, but knowing what I know now, I would not go again if there was any significant wind. I hope those other people are ok, there were several small children involved in the balloon that turned over

Marina was a superb pilot AND a first-class tour guide. Her enthusiasm made our balloon Safari the memorable experience it was. Loved the champagne celebration and yummy brunch after the balloon ride were memorable.

It was a wonderful experience full with joy and happiness … an experience for one in all! Everything was good but the better thing that is to be with my lovely wife and share this unforgettable moment with her❤️

What an absolutely unforgettable experience hot air ballooning over the Serengeti! Watching the sunrise over the endless plains, with wildlife below us, was simply breathtaking. Urgent Warning – My Personal Experience with Miracle Experience Balloon Safari I booked a balloon safari in the Serengeti through African Safari Expert as part of a group of six people. The price was €450 per person. Before take-off, I was aware that there were rising winds. We were initially told that the flight might be cancelled. Nevertheless, the pilot decided to proceed. The landing was a frightening and traumatic experience for me. The balloon was travelling at what I experienced as a very high speed, approximately 40 km/h. During the landing, I was dragged along the ground for approximately 100 metres. I struck my head twice and was not wearing a helmet or any other head protection. I subsequently suffered a cervical spine injury. The experience was so distressing that I still have nightmares about it. I had expected medical assistance to be available, but I was unable to find the doctor who I had understood would be present. Based on my personal experience, I found this balloon safari deeply distressing. I believe that the circumstances surrounding the launch and landing deserve serious consideration. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this activity to ask detailed questions about weather conditions, safety procedures, passenger protection and emergency medical arrangements before booking. We had a wonderful time flying over Serengeti. Our pilot, Felipe Tostes, was able to “steer” us over the river Mara, and we saw lots of hippos in the water, one or two out of the water, as well as crocodiles, and elephants. The crew made us feel very comfortable and safe and it was a great experience to share with our friends. And the breakfast they served after the balloon ride was excellent!! I highly recommend this unique experience with Miracle Experience Balloon Safaris!!

This is a MUST Do. One of the most incredible things that we did in Serengeti. We saw more animals riding in the dark to the balloon site than we did during the day. A huge hipo running across the road and a fresh lion kill with hyenas running across the road dragging bloody animal parts. Incredible! The ballon ride over the magical Serengeti was beyond words. Gorgeous landscapes beautiful animals. The breakfast was terrific with local people And the balloon itself was so safe and better than any other balloon I had ever ridden in. A fantastic experience not to be missed

A good way to see the beautiful Savannah from above. It gives a different perspective than in a Safari jeep. Excellent service that cater to all our needs. Greeted at the launch site with coffe, water and snacks and also very clean restrooms. The breakfast was outstanding with foods available to suit all tastes made to order

We wanted to thank Ballon Safaris for the experience we had earlier in Serengeti. It was our 2nd time with Miracle and it was genuinely outstanding. We would recommend them to anyone who needs to tick this matter off on their bucket list. We saw Lion, Hyena, Giraffe, Hippo, all the small Buck and Elephants. We do know that Serengeti is not a Zoo and therefore we were extremely privileged to be able to see such a wide range of animals on the flight. Deb Boustead The morning of Sept 12, 2026 will be forever etched in my memory. We got up REALLY early, around 5 a.m. as one of the main features of a balloon flight, is to see the sunrise!!! The teams for about 15 balloons were spread out in a large field and each balloon takes off at a different time, to ensure no one interferes with another's flight path. They all are totally dependent on where the wind is taking them..... they do have the ability to go up and down, using the hot air burners.... which in themselves are fascinating. I kept thinking "Who invented these things?" Our pilot Ahmed, from Egypt was a true pro, and had a great sense of humour, all the while ensuring that everything was going to plan, including serving us coffee of all things!!!! All in, it was easily one of the most interesting, magical, mind blowing adventures I've ever had.....I'd do it again in a minute!!

This was an incredible experience! It was amazing to Serengeti from up above! Our pilo/guide Danford was wonderful and knowledgeable and made sure to point out all of the animals. The “bush breakfast” was also incredible. It’s actually a sit down, full meal breakfast. If this is in your budget, I 10/10 would recommend!

We were collected first thing and taken to the balloon site where coffee and tea was available, luckily I had biscuits to hand around. The intro and explanation of how to get into the basket was extremely thorough and made a lot of difference to us all. We were chosen according to weight and stayed with our group. Huge attention was paid to our to our safety and security throughout as well as our warmth with complimentary ponchos. The flight was wonderful we were in the air for over an hour and saw lions, hyena, Giraffe, warthogs and many antelope etc. We went low to the ground occasionally and higher up. We were given a coffee during the flight which was very warming and our pilot was knowledgeable and explained exactly what he was doing what he required from us. He was a little too chatty for me and demanded constant replies and responses from us. If anything I would have liked a little more peace and quiet to enjoy the silence, serenity and enjoy the wonder of our experience. I have been on a hot air balloon before, but overall this was 100 times better that any other. His instructions when landing were perfectly clear and we had a good touch down. We were welcomed with a glass of bubbly and driven off to a camp for breakfast. The breakfast was the best ever and we were welcomed by staff who danced and sang and were very efficient. Certificates were given out prices and cake for Honeymooners and birthdays acknowledged. All in all a fabulous experience. Talking to other tourists about different companies, we had the best experience all around. I would highly recommend Miracle.

Unfortunately we arrived late at the take off, and were literally shoved into the balloon without any explanation or safety instruction. Being late can happen, but safety should always be taken into consideration. Although views may be nice, I believe when flying the balloon low the hot air seems disturbing for some of the wildlife, as I saw them fleeing the savannah. Price is out of line!

Fantastic experience. Saw lion in the dark on the way to the launch site. Lovely friendly crew who talked us through the whole process. Lukasz was our guide, really friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone in the balloon took part in spotting the wildlife from the air, saw so many animals. Fun landing and great breakfast afterwards. Serenaded by staff with some great songs at the end. What an experience!

My wife and I went on a balloon safari during our stay in Serengeti and it was incredible. I did one before with Miracle Experience during my last visit to Serengeti in 2022, and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to do it again....and I am very glad I did! It was an exhilarating ride and Serengeti from 1000 feet in the sky is an awe-inspiring experience. It looks very different from what it does at ground level and the vastness of the plains is breathtaking. Our pilot, Arturo, was excellent and he gave us a pleasant flight and a smooth landing. He also offered coffee during the flight and pointed out animals with his trained eye that we otherwise would have missed. The bush breakfast after landing was delicious and plentiful. Amazing experience! Highly professional and friendly staff. Safety is their priority, we never felt concerned. The whole process was smooth and enjoyable from the initial briefing through the game drive to access the launch site through the trip and then the meal afterward. I was slightly nervous doing a hot air balloon ride for the first time but there was no need to be worried. The team was 100% professional and I was even in the 20% of cases to have a smooth landing (not the norm). You get photos taken during the flight (no additional charge), an champagne drink once you land and an never ending brilliant breakfast service. Plus the toilet with a view. It's not cheap but definitely worth the price.

This was my third balloonride and the least thrilling despite the surroundings: A) during pickup ride we came across a leopard that climed up a tree - the tree got surrounded by 10 jeeps that all shone powerful lights at the poor animal that kept climbing higher B) the start of the flight had to be restarted twice with none reassuring shorts of (”the rope is too Short, donwe have anothe (arent they Fixed length))” and ”Not blue, needs to be Red” (which color rope Will I pull at?) and we missed sunrise C) the route had 5 balloons on it and flew over very barren, dusty land near the village of Serona rather then bush, seemingly a very fixed route that is flown daily in large numbers. D) the balloon was kept at 20-100 m height requiring very frequent heating that visibly frightened every animal we saw. Last flying over a group of hippos at about 10 m ”you will get a good view of them here on the backside, when they come up for air” The captain was clearly experienced, loved the job and created a good atmosphere among tense passengers. The breakfast after was fabulous. I had anticipated a silent ride that would not frighten the animals, based on my two earlier rides at other locations. As with any safari its clear you don’t know how much and what animals Will be seem but the ground here seemed so barren it was surpricing to see! So in all a split experience, not the expected highlight, but clearly not something to leave undone either. Would look into options.

What can I say.. Absolutely amazing from the prebrieve at our tented camp and pickup to final delivery to our driver. Our pilot, Captain Baris, was just so professional and attentive. He ensured everybody was involved in a good time. All services were above and beyond from the welcomers to the flight team to the breakfast team and the breakfast itself. Cannot recommend Miracle balloon safari in Kogatenfe enough!!

The transportation, welcome, safety briefing, balloon crew, flight, landing and breakfast, were all handled exceptionally well. As a business owner, I tend to notice operational details, and Miracle Experience really stood out. It reminded me of Disney—not because of anything artificial or overly polished, but because the entire guest journey was designed so well. Every interaction felt organized, consistent, and focused on making the experience special. Floating over the Serengeti at sunrise was unforgettable, but delivering an experience at this level requires much more than a balloon and a beautiful location. Miracle Experience has clearly put considerable thought into every part of the operation. If you are visiting the Serengeti, I would highly recommend doing the balloon flight with Miracle Experience. It was worth it and remains one of our favorite memories from Tanzania.
