The experience is very good, we are with Bariki, he is our guide, he knew everything, the roads, the animals, the plants, the history and the geography in those places we've been. He's a very nice guy, we successfully saw the big 5, Lion's mating, 7 Lion's eating a buffalo, Bariki always knows where we should go and bring us to see all the animals. Gosheni arranges all the things well, the hotels, the food, the itinerary, etc. I've already recommended 2 friends to join safari with Gosheni. Hope they'll enjoy it as well!!

We went on safari in Tanzania to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary, and thanks to George, it turned into one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. From the very beginning, George went above and beyond, not just as a guide, but as someone who genuinely cared about making our trip special. Once he found out we were celebrating our anniversary, he made sure that every lodge we stayed at knew. As a result, we were greeted with thoughtful, personal touches at each stop, from room decorations to special desserts, all of which made us feel incredibly appreciated. And then came the moment I’ll never forget. I had brought a ring as a gift for my wife, and George helped me create the perfect moment to give it to her. While we were exploring Ngorongoro, he scouted a stunning spot overlooking the crater, completely private and absolutely breathtaking. It was there that I gave her the ring. It was perfect, and I owe that moment entirely to his thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Beyond all this, George is simply an extraordinary guide. On just one day, we saw a pride of around 30 lions, a cheetah with two cubs, three male lions walking right on the road, and a leopard in a tree with its kill. And that was only one day out of eight, each filled with unforgettable sightings and stories. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, there wasn’t a single question we asked that he didn’t answer thoroughly, and he made each drive both informative and fun. He was always checking in to make sure we were happy with everything, both on the drives and at the lodges. By the end of the trip, it honestly felt like we were saying goodbye to a close friend or family member. If you’re planning a safari in Tanzania, George is the person you want by your side. He made our anniversary truly magical, and we’ll always be grateful.
We had the absolute pleasure of spending 8 days on safari in Tanzania with George as our guide, and we truly could not have asked for anyone better. From the moment we met him, we felt completely safe, well taken care of, and in expert hands. Just trust George, you’ll be in for the experience of a lifetime. He was incredibly knowledgeable, answering every single one of our (many!) questions with clarity, patience, and genuine passion for the wildlife and landscapes around us. He was always attentive, making sure we were comfortable, happy with the lodges, and getting the most out of every game drive. It honestly felt like we were traveling with family, that’s how much warmth and care he brings to the experience. And when it comes to sightings… wow. On just one single day, we saw a pride of around 30 lionesses and cubs, a cheetah with two cubs, three male lions walking on the trail, and a leopard up in a tree with its prey hanging beside it. That was just one day, so you can only imagine the kind of unforgettable wildlife encounters we had over the full 8 days! George was also a joy to talk to during our drives, always sharing insights, stories, and keeping the energy positive and exciting. Every evening, he’d give us a detailed summary of the next day’s plan and make sure we were fully satisfied with how things were going. We will truly miss him and are so grateful to have had him as our guide. If you’re planning a safari in Tanzania, go with George. You won’t regret it.
This was our third trip to Africa, and unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of what was promised. Although we were fortunate to witness incredible wildlife moments—including a rare cheetah hunt—the safari did not fully deliver. The guide’s eco-consciousness was a positive aspect; he proactively picked up litter, which we appreciated. However, his communication and service were inconsistent. We expected engaging commentary about animal behavior and local culture, but he often seemed distracted—spending significant time talking with others or on his phone—which limited meaningful interaction. Moreover, his driving left much to be desired: the vehicle got stuck in mud four times in just two days, even though it was the dry season. Accommodation was another letdown. The Enkutoto migration camp had a strong smell of paint, making it uncomfortable. Communication between the tour operator and the lodge was inefficient—the responses we received were vague, and issues were not resolved satisfactorily.Staff at other lodges(melia) were excellent—professional and welcoming—which only highlighted the inconsistency. Crucially, the experience did not match how the tour was marketed, and certainly not what we expected given the cost. We recommend that the local operator invest more in guide training, ensure higher and more consistent service standards, and improve coordination with lodging partners. If you’re considering this company, we advise comparing multiple operators to ensure value for money and a truly memorable safari.
we booked through the Japanese tour company Dososhin. our guide Andrew was reliable. The whole trip was exciting. We met BIG5 and so many beautiful animals.
If there is a heaven on earth, I’ve just been to one. The angel with us is Bariki ! Amazing tour and enjoyed our 9 days can’t recommend enough.
The entire experience was incredible from start to finish. Me and my wife came for our honeymoon from the US. We had two drivers. Edward for the first two days and Inno for the remainder after Edward unfortunately fell ill. Thankfully Edward is ok. Edward was very knowledgeable and often stopped to show us and explain to us the little things that make Tanzania special. Inno was fantastic. He went above and beyond to ensure we seen all the animals we hoped to. From the wildebeest crossing the river in their 10's of thousands to the notoriously difficult black rhino and stealthy leopard. Inno was very knowledgeable about the Serengeti and all the wildlife around the park. I think its important to mention that Inno was down to have a laugh and a brilliant driver too. An unforgettable trip from start to finish. I can't reccomend Gosheni enough. They truly made our honeymoon very special and a trip we will never forget!
We celebrated our honeymoon on Safari with Gosheni and had the perfect experience, from start to end. Gosheni is a wonderful company and very professional. Overall our Safari was 9 days. Our driver in Tanzania was Fidelis and we were so lucky to have him! He’s highly experienced and knowledgeable, kind, honest, caring, funny and a pleasure to be around. He was outstanding in every way. I felt looked after and in safe hands. I’ve been travelling for decades and I joined Trip Advisor just to write this review! Big thanks from Australia to Gosheni and Fidelis! You’re amazing at what you do!
This trip is our first time in Africa. Thank you to Eva for helping us plan the itinerary and hotel. My wife and I are very satisfied. William is an experienced, professional, and humorous tour guide. He is also a good driver and he is always on time. He would first ask us what we want to watch, and we said we definitely want to watch the Big Five hahaha. William has a very good eyesight and can easily find animals in the distance and small animals up close when driving. He tells us that if we have any ideas or want to stop and take photos, we should not hesitate to let him know. In the end, we also successfully saw what we wanted to see. This honeymoon trip was truly unforgettable, we took thousands of wonderful photos. We hope to come back to this land in the future. Asante William and Gosheni! Hakuna Matata!
Such an amzing trip in Afica, my husband and I like it so much! Our tour guide William is very professinal,he knows animals’ habit and find them quicklier than others,so that we see all animals we want to see.
Under the guidance of Mr. Calven Kileo from Gosheni, my mother and I embarked on a 9-day trip to Tanzania. The professional explanations throughout the trip, the rich knowledge of animals and plants, the delicious food, the magnificent scenery of nature, and the friendly service all created a wonderful memory. I forgot the troubles of daily life during the short journey, just like having a summer dream. I hope that next time we will have the opportunity to return to the Serengeti savannah to relive the beauty.
My wife and I booked the first half of our honeymoon with Gosheni Safaris and we couldn’t have had a better experience. Marline graciously worked with us over the course of six months to plan our perfect safari experience. It was our first time traveling in Africa and it was very reassuring that Gosheni had arranged for a driver with a sign waiting for us at the airport. The first night in Tanzania was at the Mt. Meru Hotel and it was very comfortable. On our second day our guide Arnold picked us up at the hotel. Arnold is amazing, kind, thoughtful, brilliant, and funny. His knowledge of the animals and the workings of the park system was extensive. I was impressed by his ability to spot the animals and provide information, while navigating the roads and avoiding ruts and potholes. He always purposefully positioned our vehicle so that the sun was in the best spot for photographing the animals. We felt very safe and well taken care of. An extra special benefit of traveling with Arnold and Gosheni happened on our second day. For some reason the internet had gone out at one of the national parks, and it seemed like there were a hundred safari jeeps parked at the entrance waiting hours to get in. Apparently, Arnold knew one of the rangers and we were allowed to go in and pay the fees the next day. That day we saw a cheetah hunting gazelles, a pride of lions with the cubs nursing, a pair of jackals, a serval and a pack of hyenas in a den with their cubs. If we had been stuck waiting at the entrance, we probably would have missed all of this and gotten to our camp much later than we did. As for the camps and lodges, they were also top notch. The staff were all very attentive and the food was excellent. The day we started the safari I told our sales rep, Marline, that I have a bad back. Before I could ask, she said that I needed a firm mattress and she would call the lodges and put in a request. Every place we went the mattresses were perfect and I went the whole trip without a flare-up. Another benefit of traveling with Arnold was that before he was a safari guide he was an auto mechanic. He said that they do regular maintenance and he tells the mechanics exactly what his vehicle needs. I mention this because we have some friends who used a different company, and their jeep had a few breakdowns. Unfortunately, they spent a good portion of the safari waiting for their vehicle to be fixed instead of out and about spotting animals. On the last day Arnold took us to the airport at Kilimanjaro (we did not know there was also an airport in Arusha) for the second leg of our honeymoon on Mafia Island. Arnold was not just a great safari guide but a great ambassador for Tanzania. He gave us lessons in Swahili and knowledge of the culture. We went from knowing nothing to feeling comfortable navigating the rest of the way on our own. Tanzanians are the kindest people we have ever met and we would love to return. Whenever any of our friends mention wanting to go on a safari, we will recommend Gosheni.
Our tour guide, Albert from Gosheni, has 22 years of safari experience. With him, you’ll gain extensive safari knowledge, learn wild animal self-protection techniques, and immerse yourself in African culture. He will ensure your journey is filled with care, adventure, and unforgettable memories. Choose Albert and trust Gosheni—they are the best!
We cannot recommend this tour enough. From the moment we arrived our guide Francis was so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, making us feel at home in Tanzania. His expertise on the wildlife and plants was superb. Francis was able to use his knowledge of animal behaviour to help us in finding every animal we could possibly want to see, and even managed to time it so we were able to see multiple river crossings of the Wildabeest for the great migration. We also loved spending our evenings chatting with Francis back at camp, getting to know him and learn all about Tanzanzian culture. All of the accomodations we stayed in were great, especially the Acacia tented camps in the Serengeti. The staff at each accomodation were very helpful, warm and friendly. We also loved the food supplied, being a nice mix of local and western selections. Gosheni were very easy to deal with, especially as we had some issues with flights and arrived later than planned. Overall it made for a perfect honeymoon!
Our guide Ombeni is very nice and professional! It is a very good experience, can’t wait back there again. Thanks Ombeni!
Wow, what can I say. Words cannot sum up how truly magical this trip was! Ghosheni safaris are amazingly straight forward to work with, gave us a reasonable cost and tailored the experience exactly to what I requested. The highlight of our experience was definitely our well-learned and intelligent guide, Steve. His laid back and super chill attitude put us at ease from the moment we met him and started our journey. He has an unbelievably vast amount of knowledge about wildlife (not just Serengeti!) and his passion just creates an exciting atmosphere to enhance the whole experience. My wife and I have already begun to plan our second trip! Thank you to Steve and the whole team for creating a once in a lifetime trip for us! We saw everything we wanted and more!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The safari with Laban, our guide was so amazing ! Really guys, don’t hesitate a second. It’s worths the money. And please, choose Laban, he’ll make your stay unforgettable. We left for 10 days with my husband and from the beginning to the end, everything was so perfect. Laban thought about every details to make us happy. Even the small touch « Just Married » on the car. He was so nice, smiling all the time, respectful and always in a good mood even when we had a flat tyre 2 times. He organised a cocktail drink for us in the bush with the sunset. We had dinner in the bush. And we didn’t had sandwiches but real dinner for the lunch. He took a lot of pictures for us. He explained a lot of things about animals and we learnt a lot with him. We saw so many animals. It was incredible ! With my husband, Jeremy, we send him a lot of good energy and thoughts for the future because he deserve it, is an amazing guy. PS : Peter, the manager is really nice too. Even before I’ve decided to work with Gosheni, he used to answer to all my questions. I was a little bit stressed but actually if you choose Gosheni, there is no reason. Just relax and enjoy ! It’s always good to work with a local company. It was important for me. Thanks to all the staff !
I reached out to a ton of different tour operators to get opinions, as it can be quite intimidating to pick trips and operators. Gosheni had great communication and gave me clear options for the best things to do from the start. They were flexible with everything, even with our last minute booking. Pre trip was great, but everything once the trip started was incredible. Bariki, our guide, was as knowledgeable, respectable and as fun as a guide could possibly be. He pointed out stuff we otherwise wouldn’t have noticed, found an insane amount of wildlife we are lucky to have found including a leopard feeding twice and a cheetah kill. He was laid back and fun to hangout with. Save yourself time and boom with Gosheni and request bariki.
My wife and I had a 9-days-Safari in August 2022 with Gosheni and we absolutely recommend this company. They are well organised and very professional. Everything worked as it was planned before via E-Mail and they even helped us to buy a Tansanian SIM-Card for our mobile phone. We were picked up directly at our hotel in Arusha in the morning by our Senior Safari Guide Laban. He did not only know everything about the country, the nature and the wildlife. As a real Massai he also taught us much about the culture and the 126 different tribes in Tansania. He spoke perfect English, Kisuahili and the Massai language and he was a very friendly and sympathic companion during the whole time. He is also very skilled in taking pictures and preparing food and cocktails -even in the middle of he savannah-. The lodges and camps they recommended were very good and we really enjoyed this trip of our lifetime!
My Husband and I are so thrilled we chose Gosheni Safaris for our Honeymoon safari - from the first email interaction with Pendo at the office as she customized the itinerary to match our dream trip, to every guide and staff member we met from Gosheni, the level of service and attention to detail has been above and beyond. Our guide Bariki is the BEST - you can tell he is passionate about the wildlife and sharing his knowledge about Tanzania. It was always clear he knew what areas would give us the best chance of spotting animals and genuinely cared about making sure our trip was running perfectly. After day one we realized when you travel with Gosheni you can tell you are with the best safari operator in the business! Itinerary: We started our trip at Tarangire (Burunge Tented Lodge) and travelled on to Serengeti (Melia Serengeti), Ngorogoro (Serena Safari Lodge) Lake Manyara (Ngorogoro Farmhouse) and back to Arusha (Four Points) for a 1 day Kilimanjaro hike. We could not have imagined a better experience and would recommend this tour to everyone we meet!!!
It was an amazing experience, it was our honeymoon and it was wonderful, our guide Bariki was the best! Thanks to him we saw many animals, super friendly all the time and filled us with very valuable information! Thank you very much. Healthy asante
The safari was truly fabulous. The quantity of animals is truly impressive! The handling of Gosheni was without any error. We were lucky enough to find Laban as a guide who was truly “attentive”. The experience, patience and attentiveness of our guide allowed us to experience a safari in complete tranquility, without stress and above all with a lot of human interaction. I recommend Gosheni but especially Laban 100%!
It took a 15-hour flight to Tanzania to start the safari without incident, led by staff arranged by gosheni. For first-timers to Africa, the guide laban introduced the African ethos, drove us through a lot of animals and was generally a very satisfying trip
The trip went well, starting with a pick-up at Kilimanjaro Airport, no worries along the way, arranging the car, booking the hotel, arranging the meals were largely satisfactory. Laban, the guide, was professional and committed, explaining in detail almost every animal we encountered and trying to explain English words we didn't understand. Overall satisfaction
