A lovely, welcoming base for a safari with outstanding hospitality. The standout feature is definitely the team: there is an authentic, friendly vibe where you feel right at home, and any minor request was sorted out on the spot. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable, set within lush, well-maintained surroundings. Our only minor critiques are that the breakfast was somewhat basic and could use an upgrade, and the en-suite bathroom felt slightly dim and tight. Even so, it is a solid 5-star experience with great heart and relaxing surroundings.

Guided/driven by Steve! Absolute legend managed to find us our own lion and elephant road crossing in the first day without any other tours nearby. Steve has an overwhelming knowledge of these animals and fantastic English to explain it all. Great conversation throughout the days. First lodge - owned by Suricata is luxurious and watching the sunset by the pool with a cocktail was magical. Downfall with tour was poor communication for airport pickup ?a contractor who did not bring branded signage and 30 mins late - meant we had to send his photo to the company on WhatsApp to confirm he was legitimate. During this time we had a number of local operators try and convince us they were our driver (without knowing any of our details/ destination) Unfortunately the first night at Summit Lodge was also disappointing - location is far from the Main Street making it unsafe to leave at night unless in prearranged vehicle and rooms are tired, filled with mould in bathrooms and broken shower taps leak water throughout bathroom.

Incredible experience, would highly recommend. We were blessed to have Steve as our driver/guide; his experience on Safari was unmatched. He was a magiccian in finding all of the animals (and away from the crowds) and was so engaging throughout the trip. Can't thank Steve enough for the experience he gave us, we learnt so much! The Suricata Boma lodge was also outstanding as well as the camps throughout. Amazing trip. Highly recommend Suricata.

His knowledge of Tanzania, the wildlife, and the natural environment was truly impressive. He was able to answer all of our questions and shared his knowledge with great passion and enthusiasm. It was a life time experience to do the safari with Gerald. He was the best guide for us - so much experience, so many unforgettable moments. We saw the Big Five and the Big Migration. We will never forget these 7 days.

We had a wonderful and perfect 7 day safari with Suricata Operator. What made the Safari so special was our guide Gerald. He detected the animals already with the smallest signs of them and found the perfect spots for us to observe them. We were lucky and fortunate to see all Big 5 animals and also the Great Migration incl. a river crossing of the wildebeests in northern Serengeti. It was better than we could have dreamed of the trip before. We learned so much from Gerald about the wildlife and always felt very safe with him and his driving. Everything was organized very well for us starting from booking process, pickup at the airport, all safari days until the drop of for our flight back. We did several safari’s, and this was the best of all of them. We had a one-on-one experience with the guide who had a deep understanding of nature and the relationship between all the animals. Felix also coming from the Masai tribe had a great understanding of nature and the people he was raised with. This enriched our experienced greatly. Make sure you see the Serengeti as without that you would not understand Africa, but the most beautiful place was the.Ngorongoro crater or Caldera. I strongly recommend booking directly and not through a third-party broker. They will take greater care of you and the price is more reasonable when the middle man is gone.

I did a 7- day great safari in which i got to visit 4 national parks. This was simply the best trip. Suricata didnt just deliver on great scenery but they made the whole experience unforgettable. A good place will always be a good place to see but an exceptional experience is pre determined by who you choose to see it with. Rocky(a tour guide at Suricata) gave us a great experience! I was already excited to see the animals and scenery but the team at Suricata made sure i learned as well. My partner and I arent the same people that walked into this trip 7 days ago. We are enriched with so much knowledge of the many habitats of these nationals parks, a new profound love and appreciation of our jobs that we got from Rocky, we could tell the enthusiasm he had to teach us about every history and characteristic of everything we saw and a profound love for the new Tanzania we got to see. Wow!we had the most wonderful time on our 7 day safari. We were greeted at every turn with friendly staff and all of our accommodations were top notch. Felix was our guide and he went above and beyond to make sure that we were able to see all of the animals on our trip as well as so many unique experiences. He was very kind and made us feel comfortable and safe. I highly suggest using Felix and taking your time to enjoy all that Tanzania has to offer!

Felix was AMAZING, we had such a wonderful experience. The food was amazing, the stays by the parks were phenomenal. Felix was knowledgeable, allowed us to stop often for different things and let us take our time, and incredibly kind. We were able to see every animal. I highly recommend a 7 day tour as 3 days in the Serengeti is necessary to see everything and actually take your time. Max was the greatest driver/tour guide ever. He made sure we had a good time and checked all the animals off of our list. He was kind and genuine and became like a family member to us by the end. Told us great stories and found us animals in unbelievable places (for example he found a buffalo in a bush behind the car in the shadows while driving). He is truly amazing. He was very helpful with finding the animals and he even taught us some things about them, which made the whole experience more fun.

Excellent choice for tour company. Lewis was a great driver for the week. Can't say enough. Experienced and knowledgeable about everything. From pick up to drop off, everything went great. The only thing I would work on would be communication on procedures prior to pick up.

This tour was 100% perfect. We saw everything we were hoping for, and so much more (a wildebeest giving birth, a cheetah running after impalas). Our guide Freddy was the nicest and so knowledgeable about not only the wildlife, but also the country. I couldn't imagine having as much fun with anyone else. We were briefed by Daniel, who was also very lovely. This tour was so much more than I could have imagined.

Frederick our guide and driver ensured that our expectations were met, a font of knowledge a great spotter, lovely sense of humour, very professional and a credit to Suricata and Tanzania, the whole process from booking, airport pickup the safari and airport drop off went smoothly our thanks to Hilary and the whole Suricata team, we chose the Angata camps which were very well run, thanks to all the teams at Sera, Ndutu and Ngorongoro camps, we chose February to hopefully see the great migration and calving of Wildebeest and Zebra were we’re not disappointed! We saw animals in their tens of thousands a truly amazing adventure and experience, of course we saw the big 5 and numerous other species of mammals and birds.We toured Tarangiri to Manyara Lake to Serengeti Central, Ndutu including conservation area and last but certainly not least Ngorongoro Caldera all National park areas managed very well by the government.

We drove over 150 km per day. Amazing 7 day tour, from the pick up / first night to the arrival. Organizing the tour was easy, flexible and quick, and we were fully taken care of during the trip and felt very safe. We got an amazing wildlife tour, our guide George spot the best wildlife moments and answered all our questions and needs. We got to see even more than we expected or dreamed of. An awesome experience with Suricata Safari company. Hilary helped us plan our trip from scratch and always was quick to reply even in different time zones and catered to our special dietary restrictions. Frederick was our guide, very experienced and educated in wild life as well. He was the main reason for our memorable experience. We got to see plenty of (50+) lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, rhinos and so many more… Guides in this company are incredibly knowledgeable and communicate with each other. Frederick even improvised on a tip from his colleague and took us to the northern Serengeti to see the GREAT MIGRATION happening across the Mara river. This was not explicitly mentioned in the itinerary and was conditional on the animal movements. He even took the longer route from northern Serengeti to central where we saw hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras. The food, stays were really great and I feel is decently priced compared to other insanely expensive safari companies.

My boyfriend and I booked the 7-day safari with lodge accommodation. It was the best holiday we have ever been on and a once in a lifetime experience. From the outset, Hilary was extremely responsive on WhatsApp and answered all of our questions. Hilary arranged our airport pick up and all of our accommodation (which was of a very high standard). Everything was extremely organised. All we had to do was arrive at the airport and everything else was taken care of. Our guide was Ezekiel and he was absolutely fantastic. We told him the animals we were particularly interested in seeing and he went out of his way to make sure that we had the best opportunity to see those animals. Ezekiel was very knowledgeable about the animals and made sure that we were having a good time. I cannot recommend Suricata Safaris enough. Thank you to the whole team!

What an experience! Suricata safaris went above and beyond for the safari. Everything ran very smoothly with transfer to and from the airport and the hotels and lodges they selected for our stay were outstanding. Our guide, Ezekiel was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and made sure we had the best trip possible. We saw literally every animal I had hoped to see and were very lucky but I don't doubt some of it was down to the skills and knowledge of our guide. We booked a 7 day private safari, meaning it was just the two of us and the guide. Hilary was fantastically good with his communication when we had to postpone our honeymoon because of the pandemic. We communicated both via email and WhatsApp and that not only reassured us but also made our life’s much easier. Everything was very well organised from the beginning: starting with a driver waiting for us at the airport, a member of Team arriving at our hotel minutes after us to brief us about our itinerary followed by our guide waiting for us the next morning to start our amazing adventure. Vincent, our guide, was outstanding throughout all our days, always going above and beyond to make sure we were having a great time and at the same time looking for all the different species with a great sense of humour. The places we stayed were a 10/10 and all offered a different experience. The food was a touch of class as we not only ate extremely well at night but also had a great, proper prepared meals during the safari. This was a game changer as we saw other companies offering packed lunches that weren’t as good as ours. We definitely recommend Suricata Safaris and don’t be afraid to come during the so called “low season”. We still saw the big 5, plus a few rare encounters (cheetah eating) and there were much less people at the different parks which made the experience even more special. We came in April and still saw the begging of the migration. Definitely recommend!

We are nearly finishing the holidays of our lifetime. We booked our honeymoon a couple of years ago, but due to the pandemic, we had to postpone. We booked a private tour and therefore it was only us and Vincent, which we definitely recommend. The meals were a touch of class throughout all our trip. We saw a few companies providing packed lunches, but ours was by far the best, with proper meals prepared from the places we overnighted. The lodges we stayed were 10/10, not only because of the comfort but above all the amazing people that work there. We still have the last day, tomorrow, but we couldn’t ask for a better experience and a better guide! We do, 100%, recommend Suricata Safaris, especially the private tour package. We would also like to say that we came during the “low season” and that was the best decision as we not only saw all the wild animals we wanted to see but also the parks were not full of people - definitely recommended! We did a private 7 day safari which was tailored for us by the Surikata team (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Datoga & Hadzabe Tribes, Serengeti, Ngorongoro). We booked on short notice and the Surikata team responded quickly, professionally and considered all of our wishes (even created a tailored broschure for us). During the tour we had great lodges with private rooms. On top of that all the activities were organized in a professional way and we had a lot of fun and unforgettable moments! Especially the hunting with the Hadzabe tribe we will never forget. Our guide Vincent was the best. He has more than 10 years of Safari experience, brought us to all the hot spots and we always saw more animals than the other tours ;)

We had an excellent private safari with the best guide (Ezekiel) and best cook (Tito) you could imagine. That made the whole trip just perfect. We saw everything we wanted on the tour and the two guys answered all our questions and were very patient while we watched some animals for hours.

It was my second Suricata Safaris experience and I cannot be happier. We had great adventure, beautiful nature & all animals I could expect and more, each day was a beautiful surprise. We visited different tribes, wood carvers, painters, did a bicycle tour through banana plantations, tasted the local banana beer and wine, it was amazing. I feel at home with the Suricata team, since we arrived until we left we were accompanied by Rocky, the driver and expert guide, and Charles, the best cook in town. You never expect to eat such a great food on a safari, yummie-yummie. We did camping and lodge, hot during the day and cold by night (don't forget to take warm clothes, luckily we were advised). Everything was amazing. This safari trip went way beyond my expectations. I loved all national parks (Tarangire, Lake Manyara and of course Serengeti) and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Our tour guide and driver Onesmo and chef Salim were the best. Onesmo wanted to find all animals I was looking for since I loved photography and had my telephoto lenses. Therefore, he was always looking for all animales I wanted to photograph. He was very patient and drove long days only for me and my wife. He speaks both Spanish and English very well, then he explain all to us about different animals while we were finding them. Thank so much Onesmo! Salim cooked very nice african meals and he was always on time with our meals and snacks. He cooked very tasty and delicious food. Thank so much Salim!

I loved going back to safari for the second time. I have also been in 2019 and was as gorgeous as it is now. This time i stayed for 8 days, traveling through Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro National Park and Serengeti and i didn't get enough of it!! Even if I was just a few days ago, i'm already planning my next trip. My safari guide, a very nice person named Mandela was always giving information about the enviroment, the biodiversity and the animals surrounding us.
