6-day Majestic Tanzania Safari – All Inclusive

My wife Susan and I booked our safari trip to Tanzania to celebrate her 60th birthday. So It was meant to be a special/one in a lifetime experience for us. Gosheni Safaris provided us with the most incredible safari holiday that I could only dream about. First, Norah in the office was great. Norah allowed me to modify the package offerings (2 nights at the Four Seasons Serengeti) and she was always very proactive in keeping in touch with us about what we needed to do to prepare for the safari (what to pack, vaccinations, etc). Norah even arranged for us to stay in a charning hotel near the airport prior to the safari because our flight came in at 4am and Norah was worried about us having to wait in a hotel lobby all day. Norah is a master of her craft at planning these amazing safari adventures. All the hotels were top of the line and everyone made us feel like rock stars. The most special part of this lifetime experience for my wife Susan and I was our guide Shabani. After meeting Shabani when he picked us up at the Airport Planet Lodge, I knew within 5 minues of speaking with him that we were given an incredible person as our guide. Shabani made the whole weekend experience special for us, His passion and expertise as a guide is only surpassed by his genuine warm personality and character. Shabani is an amazing individual. Susan and I show not only talking about the different animals and unique experiences on safari, but the three of us were constantly sharing detaiils about our personal life stories and families. When we saw a leopard up close on safari, Shabani was just as excited as we were to see this animal up close. And his keen ability to spot animals from a distance and his knowledge obout every animal that we saw was amazing. And I swear Shabani knows every square meter of every national park in Tanzania. I am completely convinced that Shabani is the best tour guide in Tanzania. There's no way, there's any guide better than Shabani. He's an absolute treasure and Gosheni Safaris should be proud to have such an individual represent the Gosheni Safari company. Susan and I will be booking another safari with Gosheni so we can take our children/grandchildren. I only have one requirement; If Shabani is not available for when we go on safari, I will change the dates to anytime he's available. Susan and I can't imagine going on safari again without Shabani as our guide. He's the best.

An amazing experience for a first time safari traveller. An amazing driver and guide, who showed us to the most beautiful sights and so many different animals. Truly unforgettable!

It was an amazing trip. we went as a group of 4 people. We visisted Tarangire, Serengeti and Engro Engro. The trip was somehow arranged and adjusted based on our budget and plans. We all love to see animals and just searching for animals on our own. We didn't feel bored at all. And to mention our driver/ guide Simon, he was amazing! He didn't talk much, but he has the eyes of eagle, always spotting animals we didn't see. He asked what we are interested everyday, and somehow, it is like he has magic or just 'call' the animals. We managed to see what we wanted! We had some problems with the car and had to go to the garage to fix it. Even this was interesting experience for us. We see how all the drivers passing by are offering to help. People are genuinely nice! As for the food included: before i went i was a little worried I might be hungry and packed some breads, but in the end, every day in enjoyed our meal! We are all very happy with the food! In the future I will probably come back and visit again!

My guide Samir is very experienced and responsible! He took us to see many amazing stuffs. All African five big animals collected! And see the very beautiful plains and craters. Hope to see Samir and Gosheni in next few years!

our tour was actually more customized than an official named tour. From the moment we booked our trip with William we have a wonderful experience with Gosheni. Our guide Hassan was extremely knowledgeable whether it be about the animals the birds or the places we traveled to. Not only did Hassan keep us safe and drove extremely well. He was able to pick out obscure animals and birds that we would’ve never been able to see on our own. In addition, he knew so much about every bird and every animal He answered all of our questions and stacked whenever we show interest he truly is a gem and I would recommend him over and over again. They also provide a hot lunch which many of the other two operators do not do they provide box lunch. We were grateful for that when we were hungry midday. If you were looking for a tour company that has excellent customer service from the original sales person to the expert guide I recommend Gosheni.

African safari has always been on my bucket list. As both my older children are in college, I wanted to make sure we got this very special vacation in before they were too busy for us with internships and future jobs. I had looked into Taurk and Abercrombie & Kent as my parents have vacation to Afria with them — but boy! Am I glad I had a friend who had been with Gosheni and referred them to me. When you are traveling half way across the world, it is scary to book a trip with a random internet company. Is this s real company? Will they show up? Are these hotels decent? Is it safe? … Let me put all your minds at ease!! 1. Real company. Completely 1000% legit. Our tour guide and driver Albert for the week picked us up at Kilmanjouro and took us to enjoy our first couple nights at Melia Arusha for us to relax and get ready for the adventure ahead of us. 2. Safari jeeps fit a maximum of 7 plus driver/guide. I personally would recommend going in a group of 5-6 max so you have your own jeep and don’t need to have multiple jeeps following each other so you can maneuver through the safari better to capture the best views. 3. Hotels: Review said 5 star and they met expectation (though remember they still are tents and you are out in nature). Tarangire was a great way to ease into the safari. Lemala Mpingo Lodge was so nice. My family didn’t love the dirt roads to the tents but it was probably one of my favorite. Crater Edge Lodge was my families favorite tent. They food was also really good. We then did Melia (Central) Serengeti for 2 nights which had gorgeous views and my little one enjoyed making beaded bracelet with the Massi. We then headed to the great migration in North Serengeti and stayed at Nikolai Mara. 4. Meals: On the safari all meals were included and served family style for our family of 5. 5. Safe: I always felt beyond safe. From our amazing guide Albert to everyone single person in the hotel staff. They were all so kind, thoughtful, happy and accommodating. 6. Hot air balloon: It was gorgeous and amazing and I would highly recommend. It was close to $500 pp but I think it was worth the experience. 7. Photographer: Gosheni arranged to have Hemedi join us for a day so we could capture some family pictures. My have 18 and 19 year old daughters so you can only imagine how difficult it would be please them — Hemedi not only met but exceeded their expectations. You can tell he really cares and love the job. Lastly, I want to give a huge shout out to Albert! I do not think our trip would have been the same without him. He was clearly excessively experienced compared to the others guides. He could anticipate things that I don’t believe the “newer” guys could have done. He was networked to know where to go. He was beyond knowledgeable. My 7 yo daughter said, “he never said ‘I don’t know’” He was good about being with us but also giving us privacy - and he always had a smile on his face!! The only negative thing I would say is the car felt older than some of the others we saw (though others looked older than ours). There were extra cushions on the seats to give it more padding. I would have paid more for a slightly more upgraded car but I would never trade the car situation for a different and less experienced driver and guide.

Gosheni is an excellent travel agency and did a fantastic job organizing our safari. Everything was well arranged, and we had a really good time with an amazing overall experience. From the very beginning, Maliwaza, the trip planner and coordinator, provided excellent itinerary recommendations and was always available to assist whenever needed. Her thoughtful planning and support made the entire journey smooth and enjoyable. The guides Peter and Moris were extremely professional and knowledgeable. They were excellent at tracking wildlife and had a great sense of timing. For the wildebeest crossing, Peter found an ideal location in advance and waited with us for the right moment, giving us an incredible viewing experience. We were also very lucky to witness elephants crossing the river, which was another unforgettable highlight. The Mandarin-speaking guides Obadia and Alifa were also highly responsible and helpful. They accompanied us throughout the entire trip, provided translation assistance, and made sure smooth communication and coordination. Overall, everything went very well, and we had an incredible time throughout the trip. The whole team was professional, friendly, and attentive, and they made the entire safari experience truly special. We are very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend Gosheni to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania.

We booked with Gosheni for our honeymoon and had the most incredible trip. Norah was really responsive and helped us plan the perfect 6-day trip. A safari is overwhelming to plan but she made it easy for us . Our Safari Guide, Peter, was absolutely incredible. I couldn’t imagine a better guide - his ability to spot animals, his vast knowledge of the animals, their habits, the scenery, and his driving ability are unmatched. We saw literally everything we wanted to due to his expertise (river crossings, elephants up close, rhinos, a cheetah and way more!) He’s a good photographer and arranged us a private sunset experience which was one of the most special experiences we had on the trip, and with great photos as well. He is also a very personable guy, which is very important when you’re spending all day every day with your guide! We noticed many of the other guides look to him for guidance which was very impressive. He’s kind, professional, extremely helpful with any requests or questions, and you can tell he really enjoys his job. We will definitely be booking our next Safari with Gosheni and of course requesting Peter as our Safari guide, and you should too!

Gosheni has been amazing to work with. Specifically our tour guide Calvin has been everything we could have asked for and more on our safari honeymoon. He is gentle, kind, patient, and truly a master of his craft. He was able to navigate us through all terrains to find everything we asked for safely and swiftly. I highly recommend him as a tour guide, he was a stranger who has become family that I would trust without any doubt. If you are looking for someone who will go above and beyond to make your experience unique without missing the details and not rushing you through the experience then Calvin is your guy. He has taught us so much, not just animals but Africa and history in general. He is well educated, very respected by his peers and he will always go out of his way like a true professional. If you have made it this far in my review then you will have to understand I am not one to ever leave a review for anything but for Calvin I will do anything just as he has done for my wife and I. Dont even hesitate and book Calvin as your guide and let him take care of the rest. Africa is beautiful and so are the people here, they will accept you with open arms anywhere you go. Gosheni was excellent from start to finish! The communication and booking with Maliwaza was very clear and she kept us updated on our booking. Our guide, Calvin Laban, has been so so wonderful. He is knowledgeable, patient and very kind hearted, always taking the time to explain everything from the local language, customs, and details on the animals we saw. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater as part of our trip and would highly recommend visiting all of these! Seeing all the wild animals has been incredible. All of the accommodation we stayed in was luxurious and comfortable, and we were fed very well! We really enjoyed the added extras of the balloon safari and the crater rim walk, but wouldn't recommend the Masai Village tour as much due to it feeling rather performative. It's been one of the best weeks of our lives experiencing some of what Tanzania has to offer. We hope to be back for another safari with Gosheni & Calvin someday!

We had an absolutely incredible experience with Gosheni, Calvin Laban our guide was brilliant! He was so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating, adjusting the days to suit what we wanted. It was everything we could hope for in a safari and would do it again in a heartbeat with Calvin as our guide. Our guide Ombeni was absolutely incredible and exceeded every expectation we had! He has eyes like an eagle — he spotted wildlife that no other guides could find, making our safari unforgettable. He is extremely experienced, knowledgeable, and versatile, handling everything perfectly. His vehicle was kept spotlessly clean every single day, and the food and arrangements he prepared were excellent. On top of all that, he is such a friendly, easygoing person to travel with. Highly recommend him to anyone visiting Tanzania — best guide ever!

We were on safari with Gosheni safari and everything was well planned. Our guide was smart, knowledgeable and best about telling us animals behavior and spotting many animals. We went on a 6 day safari and we enjoyed the trip with Gosheni.

Great experience, Ombeni (tour guide) was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and great driver! He made everything safe and enjoyable and the experience wouldnt be the same without him! We saw all animals from the Safari, some more than once. Hotels were really good and also the food. Only Hotel dont recommend as below standards (no proper wifi, service and food ok, and rooms not functional) was Lake Masek Tented Lodge. Lemala Nanyukie Tented Lodge and Melia Ngorongoro Lodge (The rim) were amazing, nothing to change and wished we had stayed longer. Would recommend strongly this travel agency and tour guide

We are a family travelling from india to Tanzania for the first time and most of us were 1st time for Safari. From the airport pick-up the guides were on time, very good communication and well versed with our itinerary. Expert drivers on main roads, bad roads and especially in the muddy terrain and off road. They know the jungle inside out and took us to all the spots effortlessly. Good knowledge about the wildlife and how to find and track them. They prepared and arranged our lunch during game drives every day, served it very well as well as packed everything. Bariki and Inno Mafuru were our guides through our safari, expertly took us to see all the animals in the Tanzanian terrain, also helped us get our luggage which was delayed after the flight. Professional but Friendly guys. We really had fun with both of them. Highly recommended.

I recently spent six days on safari with Gosheni, traveling in a group of four through Ndutu, Central Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. It’s hard to fully capture how special the experience was. Bariki, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable. He shared insights about Tanzania’s history, Maasai traditions, local plants and of course the animals we encountered. He helped us find everything we hoped to see — the Big Five, the Ugly Five, lion cubs and baby elephants, a cheetah hunting a gazelle, and even the hyenas we were especially curious about. He was also always patient in answering all of our questions and made sure our curiosity was fully satisfied. I especially appreciated how he interpreted animal movements and behaviors, helping us understand what certain actions meant. It truly felt like watching a wildlife documentary in real life. He clearly respects the animals and their natural environment, and with his knowledge and experience, we were able to approach wildlife thoughtfully and observe them up close without disturbing them, while still giving us excellent spots for photographs. I would also like to mention that I requested meals to accommodate my dietary restrictions. The team ensured every lodge was informed and well prepared, which made the trip comfortable and worry-free for me. This felt like much more than just a safari trip — it was a meaningful experience filled with lasting memories. Thank you for making it so special!

My friends and I went on a 6-day safari, and the entire experience was absolutely amazing. Our guide, Bariki, was exceptional- we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. He is incredibly knowledgeable about history, culture, plants, and, of course, animals. He patiently answered all our questions, no matter how silly they were. As someone who loves animals, I learned so much from him, especially about animals behaviours and was amazed by all the fascinating facts I had never heard before. Without explanations, an animal might just seem like it’s standing there—but with Bariki’s insights, every sighting became meaningful and moving. He is also fantastic at spotting animals from a distance and knows exactly how to approach them without disturbing or threatening them. Thanks to him, we saw a wide variety of wildlife, including the Big 5, the ‘Ugly 5,’ and even a rare lesser kudu! One of the highlights was witnessing a cheetah successfully hunt a gazelle, it was so thrilling! Thanks again to Bariki for an unforgettable trip, and to also Herman for helping us plan everything so smoothly. I would highly recommend Gosheni and Bariki to anyone looking for an incredible safari experience, and I would definitely come back!

She was patient and always accommodating. Fine tuning and updating the trip details. The web site is so informative with details, and Todo lists and check lists and what to expect. Very professionally done. Also our guide and driver whose name is Comfort was just great. Again courteous, knowledgeable and helpful in the the whole Safari. Had an amazing time on the safari! My wife and I booked a private safari for 6 nights and from when we landed in Kilimanjaro to when we left Arusha, the service was amazing! William our sales consultant who we had been emailing before our trip provided us with an orientation and our guide Stanley, with over 20 years experience knew exactly where to go to make sure we made the most of the safari and saw everything we wanted to and was instrumental in us seeing “The Big 5”! Would highly recommend booking with Gosheni and wouldn’t hesitate to do it again!

Tanzania is a magical place, and Ombeni made the trip and experience even more of a life-changing experience than I expected. Ombeni was an incredibly knowledgeable guide and it was clear he is very passionate about the animals and the parks. He navigated us expertly, and pointed out all the wildlife even those that were hidden. His instincts were supernatural and he singlehandedly made our experience unforgettable and epic. Over the course of 6 days, we traversed tarangire, ngorongoro crater, and the serengeti, and saw the big five and many cats. It was amazing!!!

Under the guidance of our guide Andrew, we experienced the magnificent landscapes of the African savannah and deeply felt the harmony between life and nature. During our 6-day Safari, we not only witnessed the “Big Five” but also gained insights into the living habits and behavioral significance of various animals. Andrew’s deep affection for animals was evident; he seemed to be in tune with the land and its creatures, always predicting animal behavior in advance and finding the best viewing angles for us. This allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the animal world while respecting their natural behaviors. Additionally, his experience helped us avoid incidents of monkeys stealing our food; he quickly resolved the issue when our vehicle got stuck in the muddy road after the rain, ensuring a smooth journey. He is also an excellent photographer, taking many photos for us, and he was particularly friendly to children. In short, we had a wonderful time on this trip and look forward to coming back again!

We had an amazing 6-days safari experience with our excellent guide Calvin Kileo. Thanks to him we have seen all ’big 5’ animals and many, many more. He shared with us his huge knowledge about the animals, nature and Africa. If we were to come back to Tanzania, we’d ask for Calvin to accompany us again :) He was so careful, helpful and attentive as he wanted to make sure we’d fully benefit from the trip (and we did!) Except for that, the accomodation secured by Gosheni Safaris exceeded our expectations. The Acacia camps and lodges are simply amazing - clean, delicious food, superb location and views, extremely friendly staff. Our 6 days Tanzania safari tour was an unforgettable experience! It is thanks in large part to our exceptional guide, Calvin Kileo. His passion for wildlife and deep knowledge of the region were evident from the moment we met him. We saw all the animals on our wish list, and we were even surprised with some unexpected encounters. We were also lucky to witness dramatic interactions between various animals, which made our trip even more memorable! The personalized service we received from Calvin was top-notch, and we couldn't be happier with the overall experience!

Gosheni safaris organized our 6 day safari in Tanzania. We gave them 5/5 although there were a few things that really need improvement in the company’s interaction with customers. 5/5 - Our guide William was amazing; patient and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make our trip a memorable one. 5-5 - The accommodations owned by Gosheni were excellent, especially Nyikani Migration Camp B. The staff were very attentive and friendly. 4/5- Overall correspondence via email was reasonable. 2/5- Unfortunately there were a few things that left us feeling disappointed: fees not mentioned in any of our emails was requested upon arrival. The lodge in Ngorongoro was horrible- the food was inedible; we all got food poisoning, the rooms were cold and the bed was very uncomfortable. When confronted with these issues no refund was provided.

Our guide Proches and the Gosheni company curated such an amazing safari experience where we were able to see all the wildlife (and all the baby animals) that we were excited to see. The camps were comfortable and food was great. But the highlight of the trip is time spent game driving with Proches where he knew all the roads, animal facts, great and smooth driving and so many good conversations and laughters!! We couldn’t have had a better time. We were in Ngorongoro, central Serengeti and northern Serengeti for 6 days.

Awesome 6 days safari trip with Edward Masaki! Edward has been very attentive to make sure that we are safe and comfortable at all times!Throughout our 6 days with Edward, he take note of our food and drinks preference and make sure that all our meals are to our preference. We are also often surprised by his eagle eyes, spotting the animals from afar. He would not mind driving the extra mile to help me our wishes come true! Thanks to him, we managed to catch the leopard twice and even the cheetahs too! We would not have complete the Big 5 if not for Edward. Thank you Edward for taking good care of us!

We took a six day safari from Arusha that covered Tarangire national park, Ngorongoro, western and central Serengeti, We stayed at four different places during our trip and liked all of the accommodations types arranged by Gosheni. Camp staff provided warm welcome, packed lunch, dinner and provided excellent service. Our guide Mr. Ombeni was friendly, careful in driving and and took took good care of us during the six day trip. We saw all big five during our game drives. Overall this was a great experience for our family.

We went on a 6-day safari with Gosheni in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro parks. Our guide/driver was Samir. Speaking French and English, he was indefatigable on fauna, flora, geography and all other subjects relating to his country. Except perhaps polar bears and kangaroos, he found us all the animals in the park: the big fives of course, the ugly fives and all kinds of birds and other African antelope. Professional, passionate and with a great sense of customer service, he made us spend an unforgettable time in this wonderful country. Again thank you to him and Gosheni for these good times spent together, our crazy laughs and for the "African massage" of the rocky paths... No regrets for polar bears and kangaroos, it will be a good opportunity to meet again 😄

Excellent organization for the 6-day safari in three different Tarenguiré Serengeti Ngorongoro parks. we had a good welcome in different hotels and lodges that were really very nice with incredible views we saw all the animals of the big five several times thanks to our French-speaking guide Samir an outstanding driver an incredible tracker with a lynx eye to flush out the leopards but remaining attentive to the tranquility of the animals and considerate with its passengers, not sparing with explanations, a perfect knowledge of the animals and the plants or trees.
