We chose the 5-day camping safari and the experience was great! Our guide, Raymond, was very knowledgeable and he managed to show us the big five and much more! Ngorongoro crater was the most amazing place I have ever seen! The tents were very comfortable and the food during the safari was very nice and plenty. Our chef Saidi made us great dinner and breakfast! Special thanks to Neema for organizing everything and being always there for our questions before and during the trip!

We had an amazing 5-day safari experience with Serengeti African Tours! Our guide Rashid was very knowledgeable and made sure we saw incredible wildlife. Our cook Allen prepared delicious meals throughout the trip. Very kind people, we truly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend this team for an unforgettable safari in Tanzania! 🦁🐘🌍
Great experience! We were lucky to spot all big 5 and our guide Rashid made everything go very smoothly. He is experienced and calm in any situation. The Serengeti camping needs some serious care but the Ngorongoro one was great. Delicious meals with extra care from our chef Allen were highly appreciated. Totally worth it!
The experience totally exceeded our expectations! Bayona was so knowledgeable, friendly and fun, which made the whole safari even more enjoyable. We saw so many amazing animals and learned loads about the wildlife and the area. Such an unforgettable experience — we’d definitely recommend it! thank you so much for the whole team
We booked a 5-day safari exploring Tarangire, Serengeti, and Manyara National Parks. We spent two nights in very comfortable lodges. We also spent two nights camping in the heart of the park for a truly immersive experience. All camping equipment is provided. Our driver, Emmanuel, was very friendly and took us to the best spots, teaching us all about the animals. Thank you again! We greatly appreciated having our cook, Pascal, who prepared delicious meals for us throughout the trip. We were able to see all the Big Five and more. We highly recommend this agency for your next safari!
We booked the 5-day private budget safari with accommodation at campsites. We were a group of seven friends, all students. Our guide and driver, Mathew, picked us up from our hostel in Arusha. The campsites and accomodations were clean and comfortable, and there was always the option to take a shower. Only at the Serengeti campsite was there no hot water. The food was excellent. Our cook, Dennis, made sure we were never hungry, and every meal was delicious. Our guide, Mathew, helped us see the Big Five and made sure we spotted a wide variety of animals. He is an excellent driver, and we always felt safe with him. The wildlife and scenery were absolutely amazing. It was an unforgettable experience, and we would definitely do it again!
We had an amazing experience on the 5 Days Serengeti Camping Safari — truly one of the highlights of our trip! Everything was well organized from start to finish, and the itinerary was perfectly planned to maximize wildlife viewing. Our guide Luka was exceptional — knowledgeable, patient, and very skilled at spotting wildlife. He always made sure we had the best views and took time to explain what we were seeing, which made the whole experience much more meaningful. A special shoutout to our chef Pascal as well — the food was incredible, far beyond what we expected for a camping safari. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and gave us great energy for the long days.
One of the best experiences of my life! Serengeti and Ngorongoro are definitely the highlights and would do them again. Tarangire is also great for elephants and giraffes. Lake Manyara is hit or miss but has a lot of baboons. 5 days was definitely enough to see a wide range of things. Our tour guide Matthew was very good and very knowledgeable on the area. And our cook Dennis made very good meals! Would definitely use Serengeti African tours again!
As nature lovers, this safari has been a turning point in our lives. A unique and unforgettable experience where the animals come to see you, not the other way around—this is when you truly realize what real freedom is. It’s true that luck plays a role, but having such an experienced guide like Matthew allowed us to enjoy the trip to the fullest and have truly incredible encounters. My favorite moment was when a pregnant leopard calmly decided to visit us right next to the 4x4. Situations like that only happen when the driver knows how to handle the vehicle and always maintains respect for wildlife. He also explained every detail about the parks and was very open with us—we had a great time! A 100% recommended experience.
I had an amazing experience, our tour guide Rasheed was an amazing fun guy, .he knows all the best. Spots to find the animals and knows everything about them. We got to see the big 5 and many more. The food was also very go pod. If u are looking for a good affordable safari this is the one.
The tour was absolutely incredible! The first three days were with our guide Peter and chef Richard, and everyone in the group absolutely loved them. They make a fantastic duo — authentic, passionate, and truly exceptional at what they do. You can really tell they love their work, and that kind of charisma just can’t be replicated. I’ve done many tours around the world, but I’ve never felt such genuine nostalgia for a group as I do for this one. I also want to give a special mention to Geoffrey Samwel, who handled my airport transfers both ways. He’s a wonderful person and honestly should be leading safaris too — I found his explanations and local insights even more engaging than those of the guide on the last day (who was still very good, just not as detailed). Points for improvement: The Nyani Campsite really needs to be replaced with another option — it doesn’t meet basic conditions. The tour itinerary would be better if it ended with the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. I did it the other way around, and while it was still great, the last two days didn’t feel as thrilling as the first ones. I’ll definitely be recommending your agency to all my friends and family! Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience!
Our safari experience was amazing! Our tour guide, Peter Mmary, was knowledgeable, interesting, and entertaining. He was very experienced and successful in finding animals for us to see. He explained their habits, movements, and diets. He took us on one game drive in the evening and one in the early morning, which allowed us to see a lot of animal activity. Our chef, Dennis, prepared three delicious hot meals each day. I am gluten-free, and he always made sure that there was plenty for me to eat.
We got to see so many amazing animals super close up including rhinos and leopards. Our guide Gift was so friendly and informative
We had such a great time on the safari and saw so many wild animals and made incredible memories. Our tour guide Adrian took such good care of us and the whole tour was perfectly organized!
our safari trip to the Serengeti National Park was an unforgettable experience. The park's incredible wildlife, scenic beauty, and unique camping experience made for an exciting and memorable adventure. We highly recommend the Serengeti as a must-visit destination for any safari enthusiast.
We had a wonderful time during our 5 day camping safari. We often felt like we were in another world, the nature is amazing and we were able to observe many animals up close. The food was very good and the campsites were also ok. Our tour operator was very helpful. While we were on the safari, she took care of a piece of luggage that was lost on the flight. We really enjoyed the tour and it was worth the money.
Linah, the admin coordinator was very responsive and helpful. I was initially skeptical but the good reviews and the professionalism of Linah made me feel assured. David is my tour guide and driver. He is helpful and knowledgeable. During the safari, we got to see lions maating, elephants, zebras, baboons, cheetahs really up close. I would say 5 day is the sweet spot for me. Kudos to serengeti African tours.
Exceptional Safari Experience with Serengeti African Tours I had an incredible experience with Serengeti African Tours during my safari adventure in Tanzania! From start to finish, everything was seamless and enjoyable. Safina, the office associate, was a delight to work with—so kind, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. She patiently answered all my questions and ensured everything was well-organized before the trip. Our guide, Asad, was simply outstanding. He was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and landscapes but also kind, patient, and enthusiastic throughout the journey. Asad’s expertise and genuine passion for the safari made the experience unforgettable. Every moment of the safari was breathtaking, and the team’s professionalism and warmth truly made it special. I had such a fantastic time and am already looking forward to booking another adventure with them in the future. Highly recommended!
Posivite aspects: The food was delicious (also vegetarian food) In general the national parks and campsites were great and we saw a lot of animals. Negative aspects: The organisation of the tour was bad and did not represent what we had booked. This lead to a lot of conflicts and discussions. The Safari time was shortened and they tried to brush us off when we complained and requested the Safari time we paid for. The so called expert guide for the first 4 days was horrible, he was only a driver. In general, he did not spot any animals and never gave us information without beeing asked. He was neither interested in nature nor did he know about the flora and fauna. Furthermore, he repeatedly told us wrong facts about animals. Every time we stopped, he immediately was at his phone for private stuff. We told the company beforehand, that we are two biologists. We have booked this tour because the company promised expert guides who have studied. After a lot of complaints during and after the tour we only got 5,56% refunded, altough we clearly did not get what we've booked. We are very disapointed and do not recommend Serengeti African Tours.
From the moment we arrived in the airport Serengeti African Tours were ready to help us. Our checked-in bags were lost by the airline and didn’t show up in the airport. We started our 5-day safari the following day without our bags but thanks to Linah and the rest of the team our bags were found and flown to Serengeti where we could pick them up. Our guide Dickson was amazing. He was great at spotting the animals, could answer all questions and you felt his expertise and experience. He has a great sense of humor as well adding some funny remarks. Shout out to our chef Matthew who prepared delicious food all days. We felt at home with these two. Can only recommend Serengeti African Tours!
This was a very special trip for us, as I was celebrating my birthday and it was the first time for us visiting Tanzania. I had connected with Serengeti Africa Tours on the internet and received their detailed itenerary. They even made the small changes as per our requirements. Safina was always very helpful. From making changes in the itenerary, to helping me out with a must have list, to guiding on what to pack and all minor help all through the trip. Right from Arusha airport, we had a timely pickup. A nice stay at Arusha. We were received with a gift of a t-shirt and a to do list before we set off for our jungle adventures. We went to 4 game reserves. Arusha, Tarangeri, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. With Abu and David as our guides. They always helped us getting the best pictures from the best spots. We had the best views and spotted all big 5 with endless photo ops and the best trip. The stays were comfortable as well. In Ngorongoro, we also met with the Masai Tribe and spent time seeing their lifestyle and dancing with them. Chef Mathew is the best. The food we ate on the safaris and the dinner spots were simply delectable. He even took extra effort in helping me out when all my luggage had gotten wet with the sudden rains. The best we could ask for. Our last day trip was extremely special with Kelvin. We went to the Materuni Waterfalls and did the coffee tour and this lunch was the most special one as it was completely homemade and we could taste the love in the food! Thank you Serengeti Africa Tours for one of the best experiences of our life! Our hearts are full and we carried memories for a lifetime! Some of the sweetest people and the best sights to remember forever! Tanzania will be etched in our hearts forever! Thank you team!
Im Very happy after this 5 days safari! Everything was organised very well and definitely recommend Go Serengeti African Tour!
Great Safari company! We got everything that was offered. Our guide, Emmanuel, was amazing and took great care of us throughout :) 100% recommended
It was a wonderful experience. Each day we visited a unique and incredible area viewing hundreds of animals of all sizes. It was truly paradise. The food was top notch and abundant, the guides were great, and the service was perfect start to finish.
We booked with Serengeti African Tours ,Our safari was very well organised by Viola, we stayed in really beautiful accommodations that provided very good food every day and accommodated for my wife’s Gluten intolerance without any problem. Our guide James is very knowledgeable, very friendly, and speaks English very well. He’s also a very good driver and was always flexible to modify our itinerary according to our preferences. You want to go very early, no problem, you want to go late next day, no problem, it’s all as you want it to be. We got to see pretty much all the wild animals of Tanzania.
It’s been amazing 5 days and we got to see the Big 5! The food prepared by the chef was sooo delicious and s the guide did his best to find all animals for us! Can definitely recommend!
We were a group of 4 friends, and finding this company in the website. Our safari start and we enjoyed alot because we succeed to see the big five animals. We recommed Serengeti African Tours for your upcoming holiday
Everything during the Safari was very fantastic,me and my boyfriend were happy to travel with Serengeti African Tours because it left a lot of memories since we met. I was so happy because we got much time to spend with my boyfriend in our relationship Linah was helpful in organizing our tour
Linah was responsible for everything, anytime i tried to reach he,she was there and sometimes at late night but she was available to provide all the informations necessary for my safari. My safari was excellent and met my expectations,i really recommend Serengeti African Tour for unforgettable memories.
Serengeti African Tours operator help us tailor the best advanture. They surprise one of our members a birthday cake 🎂 and create a new family by enjoying her birthday. Thanks our operator Safina for operating everything, our guide Kelvin and shef Richard is an absolute legend in the kitchen!! Never have tasted and enjoyed food like this ever.
We had such a great time at the Safari, food was excellent, very tasty as our chef Mr Tito made sure we had a nice menu surprise everyday. And we had a real plates and cutlery! What a treat:) also our guide Brison went beyond and above to make sure we seee as mamy animals as possible, he was all the time on the radio talking to other cars and changing our destination accordingly, we saw baby cheetah which was incredible. Also thanks to Linah for looking after us and checking everyday if we were ok:) really recommend to book you Safari with this company
We, my wife, my sister and I, did the 5-day Serengeti budget tour. Lucas and his team are very friendly and service minded, and goes lenghtly to satisfy your needs. The safari was well planned and we did see the 5 big! Plus a lot of other animals. Our guide, Priest (I guess that was his name), was an outcome of knowledge and information. And our stomach engineer, Richard, did a fantastic job of keeping us fed at all times. All 3 of us were very satisfied and have no problems recommending Serengeti African Tours to anyone.
All I hoped for and more! As a solo traveler, I joined a fabulous international group (comprised of other solo or duo travelers) that visited Tarangire National Park (Day 1), Serengeti (Days 2 and 3) and Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Days 4 and Day 5). Serengeti African Tours is a professional company and I highly recommend them. Communication with Luca (the owner) was excellent; he thoroughly explained what is involved in a 'budget' safari, answered my questions, and made sure transfers at the beginning and end of the tour were on time. Our guide & driver Assad was also excellent - extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife, great troubleshooter/multitasker (he often had a 16 hour workday with us), spotted an amazing range of animals (often networking with other drivers/guides), and kept us on schedule, which was no small task given our ambitious goals of seeing as many animals as possible. His English was impeccable. The meals (prepared by Richard) were delicious and varied -- fish, chicken, meat, lamb, veggies, chapati, fruit, pizza, etc. I like sleeping in tents, so the camping aspect of the budget tour appealed to me, especially since SAT's staff pitched the tents. A few tips on what to bring (which helped me) 1. A handsfree headlamp/flashlight and extra batteries - better than using your phone flashlight or one you need to hold in your hands 2. An inexpensive rain poncho (I bought mine on Amazon for $3.50).It took up very little space and doubled as a 'tarp' I could drape over my backpack if it looked like rain while we unpacked the jeep at night 3. Dual port wall plug/USB wall charger - my phone was my only electric device. Being able to charge 2 phones out of one socket in the jeep using USB cables was convenient, especially since our group was from 3 continents that have different plugs. Also, if you want to join a group (my preference as a solo traveler) and have a custom itinerary, please know that you may need to join a different group at the beginning or end of the tour. This is true of all the safari companies and only makes sense since their goals include being efficient and offering clients many flexible tour options. Ngorongoro and Serengeti charge 'per person' entry fees, that companies obtain permits for in advance so as not to cut into your time at the parks. Therefore they try to match the number of passengers they're approved for. (This happened to me and as a result, I met 2 great groups of people.)
Best safari and great service Lucas was most helpful he briefed everything also our chef and guide they were amazing and professional I planned this trip one year but I was busy with work but as soon I got free pass from job we visited Tarangire national park we stay camping it was amazing because we experience new thing also during our safari we saw herd of elephant, gazelle they were so amazing next day we visit Serengeti national park we stay two days camping mywife was so happy because she wanted to see lion for verylongtime she said she want to see king of forest also we saw movement of wildebeest next day we visited ngorongoro crater it was amazing because when your far its look like pot the more you go down you see amazing thing it's beautiful I wanted to stay forever and last day we visted manyara national park we saw antelope called kilspringer, gazelle it was unforgettable trip everything we wished we received it more love Serengeti African Tours
It was amazing adventure we enjoyed alot we saw different kind of animal I really wanted to see Zebra I was so happy to see them also our guide was so talented he handle us well Serengeti African tour your my number one fan 😍😍 your owesome
It was a great experience, we got to see the big fives and our driver and cook were really trying to give us the best experience possible. Additionally, we got upgraded to rooms instead of tents 3 nights in a row due to the bad weather, without asking for it! Only downside: our group of 6 had different sleeping arrangements, so it always took a while to get everyone gathered which cost us a little bit of safari time. However, this is just a sidenote and no reason for a rating below 5 points :) Lucas / Serengeti African Tours reply really fast and help you to plan your trip. They also organized the transit to and from the airport as well as the first and last night in Arusha for us.
I had a great time and the Tour is absolutley worth it! Camping spot especially the Nights in Serengeti and Ngrogro were spectacular. would recommend and Book it again :)
our Trip was amazing from the beginning to the end especially , seeing 4 of the big 5 animals and the lunch. Very well organized and we were very happy with our guide Abuh who made sure we got the most from this experience in one day. Will choose the same company next time I come! Serengeti African tours your the best
We had a fantastic safari! Lucas and the team were very organised and helpful with the booking process of our trip. They arranged airport transfers and accomodation too. Our guide Max and chef Salim were amazing, they made the experience special and enjoyable with lots of local food and knowledge. We saw all the big 5 and lots more animals!!! Would definitely recommend.
Even for a "budget" tour, everything was well organized and high value. The tents were already set up at each camp site with comfortable sleeping pads and tasty, fresh, and homemade food was served for every meal. You will see even more animals than what you hope for and be struck by the natural beauty on this unforgettable experience!
The communication beforehand was good, I appreciated being picked up from my hotel and dropped off at the end of the trip The trip was well organised - the route and accommodation was well chosen, as was the driver and chef. The service of the girls at the end of the trip was second to none, with assisting me getting a public bus to Moshi. They made me feel very safe and I wouldn’t have made it without them!
It’s been a great 5 day Safari with Serengeti African Tours. The whole planning was very professional. Our tour guide Aboh has a lot of experience and knowledge about animals, the spots and the culture of Tanzania. The food during the Safari was so great, we will miss it a lot! If you are searching for a great nature experience, this is the tour to book for you! Also a big plus for us is that it was very sustainable and that the staff and owners are Tanzanian people, so all the money stays in the country
An absolutely unforgettable experience, worth every penny. Our guide Aboh was calm, friendly and informative. The overall vibe of the group was great, which is important given I was travelling solo. And of course seeing all the different animals was unbelievable. 5 days was the perfect length as we got to experience a range of different parks and spot all of the big 5! The accomodation was also unbelievable and felt definitely like luxury to me - not mid range which I booked. Thankyou so much Serengeti African Tours
The accomodation was as expected but the chef made miracles I enjoyed the food a lot! We were lucky to see so many nature scenes with all animals we could have dreamed to see from way closer that I anticipated! The guide was listening to our every requests and very patient!
Serengeti was an amazing company. The manager Lucas was extremely helpful and always responded to my emails in the weeks leading up to the safari within hours. The guide for the tour David and the chef richard were both incredible people and made the whole experience all the better. Richard knew his stuff and made sure that we saw the big 5 as closely as possible. The days started early, but he made sure that we were always the first to leave camp to increase the chance of seeing the big 5. This was especially successful on the day we saw the rhino as no other company that day saw one. The food was perfect too. Definitely the company to choose if you’re going on safari in Tanzania.
We were taking care of from start to finish. Our guide, Abou, was the best. Made sure we saw everything we could, big 5 and all. He was very attentive to our needs and made sure to answer all our questions. Ate well everywhere we went, hotels, lunch boxes, etc. Be ready to spend a lot of time in the truck if you want to see everything and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Serengeti African Tours was very helpful to help us choose the right program and hotels considering our budget and needs. Would recommend this tour operator without hesitation.
Excellent experience! This safari is fantastic. We spent 6 days with David (our guide), Richard (our cook) David has a perfect knowledge of the different parks and gave us an unforgettable experience. He has anecdotes about all the animals/plants and thanks to him we saw all the animals we wanted. We spent 2 nights in a lodge and 3 nights in tents in the middle of the parks. Meals were excellent and substantial. The stay took place at the beginning of May 2023, a favorable period because fewer tourists and breathtaking landscapes! Thank you David, Richard, I will not soon forget this stay!
I worked with Lucas and he planned the best week for me. He kept my requests in mind of what I wanted to see and was very impressed when I was asked if I would want to switch a day around because he had heard that there was a large migration group passing through a certain area that I had wanted to see. All of the accommodations were excellent and my driver guide was incredible. He was very knowledgeable and kind and always made me feel safe and comfortable, which, as a female solo traveller, is very important. Thank you for this once in a lifetime experience! I highly recommend to anyone looking for an adventure! Coffee tour was amazing, waterfalls and hot spring was really good!!
Safari is an unique experience! Our guide Action knows so many things to about animals and general info for Tanzania! He is a safari monster!! We had the chef Action, he is so kind and cooks very nice!! We had the best offer from Lucas the owner so we choose this company and finally we did right.
I can really recommend Serengeti African Tours. The organization was great. Lucas always answered very quickly to all the questions we had, even during the preparation for the trip. Thank you very much.
