After breakfast, the tour departs between 08:30 - 09:00. After breakfast your private guide will pick you up and your private safari with private 4x4 safari vehicle starts. The first park visited is Tarangire where you will arrive at the lodge for lunch and will enjoy an afternoon game drive. The park is famous for its high density of elephants and baobab trees. Visitors to the park in the June to November dry season can expect to see large herds of thousands of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo. Other common resident animals include waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant's gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon. Predators in Tarangire include African lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog.
After a nice breakfast in the Lodge, our drivers will pick you up at 8:30 - 9:00 am with the picnic lunch heading directly to Manyara National Park for an extended game drive. Lake Manyara National Park is known for the flamingos that inhabit the lake. During the wet season they inhabit the edges of the lake in flocks of thousands but they are not so present during the dry season. Leopards, East African lions, cheetahs, elephants, blue monkeys, dik-dik, gazelles, hippopotamus, Masai giraffe, impala, zebras and many more wild animals inhabit this park and many can be seen throughout the year. There is a hippo pond at one end of the park where visitors can get out of their cars and observe from a safe distance. The leopards and lions are both known to lounge in the trees while not hunting for prey.
After breakfast, you depart for Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park.
An early morning coffee, tea and biscuit for refreshment, then proceed with lunch boxes for early morning game drive between 08:00 - 14:30 hours. Then after, we will depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area while enjoying a game drive en route viewing along the way to where you will have dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast of coffee, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here. Later on, will follow the transfer back to Arusha city for drop off in your hotel

Took a customized private tour with 5 other friends and Rasta man. He made sure we got to see the big 5 and was extremely knowledgeable about the ecosystem and the wildlife. In 5 days we visited Tangire, Serengeti central and north and Crater Ngorongoro. Tented camps were really nice and clean. We had Anton as guide and we totally recommend him, really professional and fun person, he made everything in his hands to offer us an amazing safari experience (to see all big 5). We booked the 4 days private mid-range safari with Suricata Safaris from 10th August to 15th August 2026. Day 1 We landed at Arusha airport around 6 pm after a very long trip from Paris. An employee from Suricata Safari was waiting to pick us up to our hotel. We were supposed to stay at SG Resort Hotel in Arusha but ended up at Summit hotel which is definitily not at the same range. The food was a bit disappointing (a limited buffet) and the room was fairly with basic facilities. Day 2 First day of Safari! We met Steve who was going to be our (outstanding) driver and guide for the whole 4 days. We went straight to Tarangire national park for a game drive. It was really amazing to see our first Zebras, Wildbeasts, Elephants and Girafes ... ! We had the chance to have an excellent guide with Steve who gave us a lot of information about the environment, the animals, and even the Massai culture. His energy was always on top and he definitely contributed to make this adventure joyful and unforgettable for us. We ended the day by visiting a Masai village on our way to our next accomodation which Steve helped us to arrange in the best way possible. For the night was stayed at a hotel owned and operated by Suricata, called "Suricata Boma Lodge". It is an amazing complex located by the Make Menyara. We experienced an amazing sunset before dinner and the room was very beautiful with all facilites. Day 3 Big program for our second day of safari ! We sent to the sarengeti national park which was a 5 hours drive from our accomodation as we had to drive through the Ngorongoro conservation area. The ride was easy though as we could witness the magnificent landcape all along. This is were Steve showed us all his experience and talent as we had the chance to see almost all the wild animals in one day ... ! Lions, cheetah, leopard, elephants, girafes, zebras, gazelles, ... we even had the chance to witness an antilope giving birth ! We spent the night inside the sarangeti national park at Tanzania Bush Camp which really was an amazing experience. We were astonished by the luxury of the tent that provided all the facilites we needed (electricity, a good bed, shower, toilet, ...) and a good space. All that in the middle of nowhere ! Simply amazing. Day 4 We started the day with an unforgettable sunrise in the savanna before leaving the camp base. The, we had a 2 hour game drive in sarangeti before heading back to our hotel which was located 15 min from the Ngorongoro gate (very helpful for our last day). We stayed at Bougain Villa Safari Lodge which is a little paradise in the city. Day 5 Last day of safari! We went to the Ngorongoro cratera for a last game drive. We were mainly focused on finding a rhino which was the last of the big 5 missing. But again Steve really delivered (and we must have been a bit lucky): we found 4 rhinos in the first hour of our game drive !! The landcapes were truly breathtaking. Around mid-day we headed back to Arusha where we stayed at SG Resort Hotel for our last night. This hotel offers good quality service and the room was very specious. We want to thank all the Suricata staff for their professionalism, responsivness and kindness (special mentions to Steve). We definitely recommand them to organize your safari. Our safari experience was memorable, but for two very different reasons. Charles, our guide, deserves 5 stars, while the agency deserves 3 stars. Charles was, without a doubt, the highlight of the trip. He is incredibly experienced and has an exceptional knowledge of both the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. His ability to spot wildlife, understand animal behavior, and always position us in the best locations made every game drive memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Unfortunately, the agency itself left us disappointed. We booked this tour based on a recommendation, with one of our main goals being to witness the Mara River crossing. However, this was not included in our 5-day itinerary. We tried to find a solution during the trip and even offered to pay an additional amount to adjust the itinerary, but the agency showed very little interest in helping us. It gave us the impression that they lack the flexibility and experience expected from a company specializing in private tours. Another aspect that surprised us was the way the guide was treated. Since our meals were served at designated picnic sites inside the parks, we noticed that Charles was not provided with a plate or even basic cutlery. It was uncomfortable to witness and reflected a lack of care for someone who works so hard to deliver an outstanding experience to guests. On the positive side, the accommodations were exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in fully equipped tented camps with private bathrooms and excellent amenities, allowing us to enjoy the unique experience of sleeping in the middle of the savannah without sacrificing comfort. Overall, we had an unforgettable safari thanks to Charles and the quality of the accommodations. However, we believe the agency has room for improvement in itinerary planning, customer service, flexibility, and the way it supports its own guides.

Golden is the best driver-guide ever. Although we met a difficult situation due to bad weather conditions, he transferred us with safety and explained us everything in detail. During our 5 day safari and our communication with other groups and drivers-guides we think that we were extremely lucky for having Golden. The day in Serengeti and especially our experience with two leopards is unforgettable. Golden is pure gold. The entire time everywhere we went we felt welcome and safe. All the people who helped us starting with those who picked us up at airport, those who helped us get familiar with Arusha, and staff at all the lodges and campgrounds we stayed in were so welcoming, so helpful and so kind. We did the 5-day midrange safari, and it was an incredible experience that exceeded my expectations. Our guide, Mandela, was fantastic—very knowledgeable about nature and wildlife. His experience really made a difference. All the lodges and bush camps where we stayed were great, much more than just “midrange” quality. The food was good and felt safe to eat. We were lucky to see all the major animals, including cheetahs, a leopard with her baby, lots of lions, elephants, giraffes, and more. Every park we visited was beautiful. I also appreciated that the experience wasn’t overly touristy; there’s a clear focus on preserving the parks and respecting the off-road areas.
Absolutely amazing safari excursion. Our driver/guide was Ezekiel. He has super sharp eyesight. He could spot an animal without binoculars and from a distance that even my own sharp eyes could not see at the first glance. But then, after announcement, he drove closer and there they were! Elephants, monkeys, antilopes, birds, hippos… can’t put them all here. I totally recommend the trip to everyone.
We have spent fantastic 5 days with a tour guide Ezekiel, who made sure that we are comfortable and we have the most memorable experience. He is knowledgeable about animals, good with navigation in the parks, has a calm and positive attitude which makes him a perfect person for the job! The stay at Surikata camp was a fantastic experience and although long drives, we were able to relax and sleep well. Camp staff in the parks where we stayed also made sure that we feel comfortable. We have seen all the animals we hoped to see and we will for sure remember the great experience!

The experience from beginning to the end was amazing. This company plans everything so well and u dont have to worry about a single thing. They do their best to accommodate you. My favorite hotel was the suricata boma lodge. It was quite nice to unwind there after a long safari. My guide was Rocky. He was very knowledgeable, spoke English well, he was super funny and made the experience so much better. The hotels and the food that was provided were very amazing. We ended up seeing all of the big five. If i go on another safari, I will book with suricata safaris once more. Oh my gosh!!! Such an amazing safari!! We saw so many animals in their natural habitat! Amire was the best tour guide we could have possibly had. He was extremely knowledgeable, the best at spotting animals and in getting us to spots to take great photos! The mid range accommodations were more like luxury accommodations. Everyone I encountered from start to finish was exceptionally friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make my safari trip the best and most memorable of my life! Amazing safari experience!! The whole staff was very professional from beginning to end from the hotel pickup, to room accommodations, food, everything! Freddie was our safari guide and was exceptional at his job with an endless supply of knowledge. He knows his was around the parks and finds great spots to view wildlife up close. Despite raining a couple days, I think everyone in our group would agree we got the most of of the experience. 10 out of 10 would recommend!
A wonderful 5 day safari with Suricata and a great group of people! Mandela, our guide,shared his extensive knowledge and his real appreciation of nature! He worked tirelessly to make sure we all had the best time and that we saw all the animals including the big 5! Thank you Mandela and Suricata - we have wonderful memories!
I had read many reviews of different safari companies, and Suricata had the best score on 1 site, and top 5 on others. Suricata lived up to its rating: a fantastic experience! Our guide was engaging and quick to share his knowledge of the animals. The staff in the lodges and tent camp were great, as was the food. Amazing views! All in all, Suricata’s staff went out of their way to make sure my safari would be a memorable experience.
From start to finish, Suricata gave us such a great safari experience. Our guide Lewis was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and was able to show us the big 5 plus many more animals. Our accommodation was great. The 2 nights at the Suricata lodge was great, such a nice spot with very comfortable rooms and great pool for sunset drinks. The other 2 glamping lodges were also fantastic. Very comfortable and you really feel like your staying in the wild as you see and hear the animals around you. The food provided was great. Breakfasts and dinners at the accommodation was very nice and a good selection. The lunches provided during our safaris were also great. It was all chef prepared, unlike other companies that only provide a basic lunch box meal. I would certainly recommend Suricata to anyone wanting a perfect safari and Tanzania experience.
It was great. The treatment from the staff was incredible, and the service was phenomenal. It was my birthday, and they surprised me. I received many surprises and ended up very, very, very happy with the experience. The facilities are beautiful. They are very elegant, and anyone who takes this tour will surely be satisfied.
