We had really great experience from the get go. All minute details of the trip were managed well. The choice of hotels and lodges was great. We never had to plan anything it was all provided by goldfinch. Brenda was available all the time. Sabri was a great guide

Itinerary
Day 1
1
After breakfast, you will meet with an office representative for a safari briefing before driving 2 hours to Tarangire National Park. Along the route, you'll see breathtaking views of grassland plains dotted with ancient baobab trees, traditional Maasai huts, and livestock herded by nomadic people. Tarangire National Park is notable for its old baobab trees, tree climbing pythons, and the biggest concentration of African elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Following a midday picnic lunch, you will resume your afternoon game drive before driving to Migombani Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2
2
Following an early breakfast we'll drive from Migombani Campsite to Serengeti National Park. This route will take you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, allowing you to see the Ngorongoro Crater along the way (a breath-taking view indeed). Also, expect to encounter plenty of wildlife during this drive as there is sometimes a significant concentration of game on the southern plains. You see, the Serengeti is home to more than just huge creatures. Over 500 different bird species have been identified, from the enormous ostrich and strange secretary bird of the open grassland to the black eagles that swoop gracefully over the savannah. That's what makes this wildlife "sanctuary" magical. On the journey, you will stop for a picnic lunch before continuing on with your journey and arriving to Nyani Campsite in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a breathtaking natural wonder in northern Tanzania, renowned for its iconic Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. This vast protected area encompasses a diverse landscape of highlands, savannas, forests, and volcanic plains, teeming with an abundance of wildlife. The crater itself is a sanctuary for a remarkable concentration of animals, including the Big Five: buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, and rhino. Beyond the crater, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area extends across the Serengeti plains, where millions of wildebeest and zebras embark on their annual migration. The area is also home to the semi-nomadic Maasai people, who coexist harmoniously with the wildlife, adding a rich cultural dimension to the region's allure.
Day 3
3
We hope you're excited for today! We'll be in the park all day long. At dawn, after a light breakfast, we'll set out and begin our journey. We will go on a full-day wildlife drive to explore the Serengeti's stunning surroundings and look for the Big 5. After the spectacular morning game drive, we'll go back to the campsite for a cooked lunch before leaving for yet another breathtaking late afternoon game drive. The Serengeti is home to more than just huge creatures. Over 500 different bird species have been identified, from the enormous ostrich and strange secretary bird of the open grassland to the black eagles that swoop gracefully over the savannah. That's what makes this wildlife "sanctuary" magical. That being said, we'll keep on looking for wildlife in the Serengeti, then head back to camp for some delicious dinner and a rustic night's rest after a day well spent!
Day 4
4
This will be our last day in the Serengeti. We'll say goodbye to the park in style! Following breakfast, we'll go with a packed lunch for an early morning game drive that will last for 6 hours. You’ll get to experience what The Serengeti is famous for (stunning beauty, diverse landscapes and amazing wildlife) for one last time. Then after we are done with lunch, we’ll head to our campsite, grab our things and then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We'll be stopping along the way to view for more wildlife viewing. We'll then stay at Simba campsite at the rim of the crater for the night.
Day 5
5
Following an early breakfast, we'll descend 600 meters into the crater for our last wildlife viewing. This stunning place will offer you almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa, including the rare black rhino(we'll be the luckiest travelers if we spot one). Lunch will then be served at the crater's base about lunchtime near a hippo lake and after that, take our last photos in the park and head back to Arusha.

From start to finish, every day was planned to and arranged to perfection by Goldfinch Adventures. I can not recommend Goldfinch Adventures enough! From day 1 all communications with Issa was effortless and smooth. Everything was taken care of and there was nothing for us to do but just ENJOY! We did a 7 day private Safari Trip visiting everything including Central and North Serengeti, Crater, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and more! Accommodation was beautifully planned as per our requests and we had such amazing moments at all stays. Isaac our Guide made it an unforgettable experience and was such a informative, well educated and fun guide to have with us! Always making sure we are cared for and transferred safely wherever we went! This experience has been a once in a lifetime we will always carry in our hearts! I hope (if you are reading this) you book your Safari immediately and TRUST you cannot be in better hands! Thank you to the entire team! May we be back for another one soon!
Once in a lifetime experience and really smoothly organised by Vanessa and her team at Goldfinch Adventures. Starting with communication, our expert guide Samwel, the choice of lodges and campsites and food provided throughout the trip, all was flawless. Would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Tanzania!
I had an amazing experience with Goldfinch Adventures! They were very accommodating when my partner couldn’t make the trip with me last minute. I felt safe throughout the whole trip and they made everything run smoothly. The guides were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and kind. The jeep was comfortable. They answered any questions I had. I was able to see so many incredible animals and places during my 4 night, 5 day safari. The accommodations were pleasant and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this tour group for any adventures and will be using them for my next safari in the future. Thank you Goldfinch Adventures for the once in a lifetime trip!
From conception to completion Goldfinch proved a very reliable ally in this family Safari adventure. Booked in March 2025 for travel in December Kelvin was always ready to deal with any requests and amendments to the schedule. Our party included 4 adults and two girls aged 10 and 5. Met by taxi at Kilimanjaro airport on morning of 18th December and seamlessly transported to the Forest Hill hotel in Arusha for a days rest before commencing a 5 day safari in this beautiful landscape. United with our driver/guide Swahiba on the morning of the 19th we were to spend the next 5 days in his delightful and knowledgeable company as he transported us through four parks in this region Lake Manyara, central Serrengeti, Ungorogoro Crater and Tanganire. Swahiba w is a wonderful character and became part of our family during these few days he had a wonderful interaction with the children who engaged easily with him from the get go and he was sensitive to all their needs as you can imagine how it might be stressful for them at times. Staying at wonderful preselected accommodation all unique and wonderful in their own rights made this a very memorable trip. One of the many highlights was the balloon trip at sunrise over the Serengeti after a night at the Safari Haven camping lodge. Organised by Goldfinch and supplied by NYSSA balloon company it was one of the highlights of our trip. Many thanks to Kelvin and his team at Goldfinch I cannot recommend them highly enough the memories will live on Brendan Ball (co mayo Ireland)
We booked a 13-day honeymoon between Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar through Goldfinch and loved every minute of it. It is, without a doubt, the best holiday we have ever had, and everything, from the hotels and flights to the itinerary, was tailored to perfection. We had a 4-day safari across the different national parks and spent the rest of our time in Zanzibar, which was perfect for relaxation. Edina arranged everything from a hot air balloon experience to our hotel preferences. The safari was amazing. Truly out of this world, with an expert guide (Frankie) putting us at ease at every turn. He also seemed to be very aware of the animals and didn't do anything to make them feel uncomfortable. Some drivers go too close or spook the animals, but Frankie was amazing, giving us ample time to see while also being aware of the wildlife around him. The accommodation, especially during the safari, was amazing, unique and suitable in every way. Edina had arranged everything so it was all very smooth. Our hotel transfers, flights and everything in between were seamless, and the hotels were very good overall. The camps, in particular, during the safari were amazing. In Zanzibar, we arranged a last-minute trip to Stone Town, and Edina was able to put it together with a few days' notice, merging our trip to the airport with a day's tour and a guide (which we only realised on the day that we had). Well worth the visit and well worth getting a tour when in Stone Town as it meant we didn't get hassled. One of our only regrets was that we didn't initially carry enough cash to purchase/visit tribes, etc. - so if going, make sure you take cash. If you are on the fence, my only advice is to book this and thank us later. What a holiday! Thank you Edina, Frankie and all involved in such a memorable holiday!
I recommend Goldfinch (GF) without hesitation. I contacted five safari companies with identical enquiries, yet only two replied — and Brenda at GF responded immediately, which was a very lucky thing for us. She was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and crafted the perfect itinerary. When I later asked if my 93-year-old father could join, she liaised with the camps straight away, and every adjustment was handled flawlessly. The camps themselves were stunning, and the staff were amazing — they even adored singing and dancing with my dad, which meant the world to us. Our guide, Ludo, was exceptional, and we were fortunate enough to see the Big Five and so much more. Thank you, GF, for an unforgettable adventure and memories that will last a lifetime.
Great experience from start to finish. Really great tour guide which taught us a lot about Tanzania and the wildlife within the national parks. Got to see all big five and then some! Additionally great venues for overnights and good food. All-in-all very satisfied.
From the planning stage, to the final goodbuy, Brenda of Goldfinch Adventures were excellent with communicating with us. Swahibu, our driver and guide, went far and beyond to ensure we see everyday what we had on our wishlist, with competent knowledge and ensuring best angles for photos. This trip was a once in a lifetime experience, with wonderful sightingsvof so many animals. Tanzania stole our hearts!
Amazing 8-day private safari with Goldfinch Adventures, with excelent guide, Swahibu Othoman, who showed us so many animals and special sightings. Accommodation were fantastic, so were all arrangements done by Brenda. Tanzania stole our hearts - will definately return.
Our safari with Samuel and Goldfinch Adventures was truly exceptional. From the very beginning, he impressed us with his professionalism, deep knowledge of the animals and environment, and his warm personality. Samuel always knew where to go and had an incredible eye for spotting the animals, which gave us unforgettable encounters and views. What we appreciated the most was how much effort he put into making sure that all our wishes were fulfilled. Whether it was finding a particular animal, explaining something in detail, or simply creating the perfect atmosphere, he always went the extra mile for us. His patience, kindness, and genuine passion for nature made the entire journey even more special. Thanks to Samuel, this safari far exceeded our expectations and became an adventure we will never forget. We highly recommend him and Goldfinch to anyone who wants the best possible safari experience.
We have had the most magical safari experience, that way exceeded our expectations! We booked through Goldfinch Adventures, after a recommendation from a friends friend. A little sceptical at first as it’s a relatively new company. However, they went above and beyond to make our first safari memorable. Brenda organised our whole trip after discussing our needs and interests. She provided a perfect itinerary. We started our safari in Arusha where we were met by our lovely guide, Seleman. He was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. He drove us to The Serengeti and ensured we got to see every animal on our wish list including giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions and cheetahs. After a full day animal spotting we went to our lodge for the next two nights. We opted for the luxury Moyo tented lodge. The staff were friendly, entertaining and the lodges were beautiful. The meals were all delicious and plentiful. After two days at The Serengeti we headed to Ngorongoro crater to see the black Rhino, lions, elephants and hippos. We were very fortunate to have Seleman as a driver as he was brilliant at spotting the animals. In the evening we were taken to our second tented lodge, Angata camp. This lodge was simply incredible, with the nicest staff, fabulous lodges with some of the best food we have ever eaten. It was like fine dining in a tent with a 4 course evening meal! Both lodges were amazing but this last one was something else and highly recommended! After another full day drive in the crater we headed back to the airport where we met Brenda again. She came with gifts for us all, which was a pleasant surprise and much appreciated. Overall, this was a once in a lifetime experience that could not have gone any better. Goldfinch Adventures go above and beyond your expectations. They ensure you leave happy, wanting to return and do not disappoint. Look forward to another trip with them in the future.
Good lunch, attentive customer service and attention to needs. Accommodations were reasonable for the price paid. The couple spent about €1,000 a day for 5 days and 4 nights, but I'd do it all again.
The experience was amazing. It was one of the best trips I have had. Our guide Ludovich AKYOO, was key to this great adventure.
We were treated very nicely through the whole process of booking and travelling. The agency staff are very experienced and can provide an advantage in comparisson with some other agencies we have seen during our trip. All confort was provided (maximum a safari can offer) and the communication was smooth and timely.
Our 5-day safari with Goldfinch Adventures was just unforgettable. From the very start, Brenda made everything easy. Her replies were lightning-fast, clear, and full of helpful details, which meant all we had to do was show up and enjoy. Once on safari, Emanuel took the experience to another level. He has this rare combination of patience, kindness, smiles and an incredible talent for spotting wildlife. Sometimes we had no idea where to look, and suddenly he’d point out a lion perfectly camouflaged in the bush or a cheetah with her cubs. He was the best guide we could ask for and the time with him past too fast. We came home with hundreds of photos, but more importantly, memories that we’ll carry for a lifetime.
Brenda Malley was absolutely fantastic in planning and executing our itinerary. Properties that Brenda chose for our stay were very good, given the limited availability owing to the peak season. Communication by Brenda was consistent and always prompt. Our guide and driver Lazaro went above and beyond in making sure that we had an absolutely great time during our safari with great sighting of the wildebeest migration over Mara River and big five.
Such an amazing tour in these wonderful national parks. We came here especially for Safari and we’ve been fully satisfied! We’ve seen al the “big five” animals and many more. We spent such wonderful moments in the Savana. The sleeping lodges were amazing and personal were always pleasant and nice. Our safari guide, Frankie, is a really professional, kind and funny guy and he knows every single inch of these national parks. It’s been an amazing experience!
A perfectly organized trip. Our guide Isac was very knowleadgable and an excellent driver. Safari was a grat experience overall.
Incredible experience. The abundance and variety of wildlife is amazing. Our guide Swahib was quick to spot the animals and was very knowledgeable about them and the flora as well. We were lucky to have such an experienced guide... very professional and accommodating. The planning for the safari was all taken care of by Kelvin at Goldfinch... includiing hotel transfers, flights and accommodations. Everything went smoothly. The lodges were exceptional and the staff very friendly, going out of their way to please The sounds of lions grunting at night while we were staying at a the Kon Tiki tented lodge on the serengeti will forever stay in my mind. A big thanks to Swahib, Kelvin, and everyone at Goldfinch for making this safari an experience that we will never forget.
We went into safari planning without any idea of how to select the right tour operator, and were fortunate to book our trip with Goldfinch Adventures. From the start, Deo was the most responsive out of the few tour companies we contacted. His personable and communicative style was very assuring especially since we were located halfway across the world. This was also a special trip for us and we were really spoiled by the choice of accomodations. They were all highly rated and made our safari experience so comfortable and luxurious. Kudos to our driver and guide, Frank. Our short 5D/4N itinerary across three major parks meant long distances, occasionally on rough roads, and Frank kept us safe. He's a very skilled and careful driver, and knew the parks routes by heart. We saw so much wildlife including the Big 5, and enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Goldfinch for a holiday we will never forget!
It was a great tour. The first day we visited the Materuni waterfall and learned a lot about Coffee production. The second day we spend at Tarangire National Park and saw many zebras and elephants. We took a rest at Osupuko Lodge with very nice rooms, pool and a magnificent view over the Park. The next three days we visited the Serengeti Park and saw an uncountable number of animals, included lions, leopards and gepards. We slept at the luxury Into-Wild Africa tented lodge. At the Ngorongoro crater we saw a rhino, which is a very rare occasion. We will never forget our last night at the marvelous MaweMawe Manyara Lodge.
Deo Robert and Frank are where professionalism and perfectionism meet. We had wonderful and unforgettable holidays. Our eight-day itinerary started in Arusha. We were picked up from Arusha airport and headed to the hotel in the city where we stayed for 2 nights with a day trip to the waterfall which was combined with coffee history in Materuni. We then went to Tarangire National Park. We stayed one night in Osupuko Lodge. This lodge is amazing with a river view. Our next Safari adventure was the Serengeti Park via Ngorongoro crater. We stayed three nights in an Into-Wild Africa tented lodge. We got to explore the Serengeti Park immensely. On our last day of Safari, we visited the Ngorongoro crater and spent a night in MaweMawe Manyara Lodge. It was pure relaxation with a great view of Manyara Lake. * During our booking, Deo Robert was very professional. Great communication and quick responses to questions. * Payments were easily done online. I will always choose the Goldfinch Safari Tour and would recommend it to anyone.
Our camping safari with Goldfinch was just great. The organization of the tour was very professional from the beginning. The young team is absolutely sympathetic and pays great attention to the safety of their guests. Our guide Isaac has a lot of safari experience and was able to introduce us to the wilderness in the protected areas. He knows a lot about the behaviour of the animals, which also has a positive influence on the sightings. We were two as women with guide and cook on the road and always felt safe and courteous. Every day there was very tasty food from our chef, who always served new delicious, even traditional food. We can recommend Goldfinch Adventures without exception!
Deo Robert and Frank always work very professionally and we always felt very cared for. We had wonderful and unforgettable days together. Our eight-day trip started in Arusha. We were picked up from Arusha Airport and drove to the hotel in the city where we stayed for two nights, with a day trip to the waterfall combined with a coffee story in Materuni. We continued on our 6 day safari. Frank showed us an infinite number of great places. He was very knowledgeable. And we saw so much and could watch the animals in peace. Frank enriched the whole thing with a lot of information about the animals. We felt very safe with him. Deo took care of everything organizationally very conscientiously and the payment was easy and fast online. I will always choose the Goldfinch Safari Tour and can recommend it to anyone who wants to have a unique experience
