5-day Camp Safari To Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Manyara And Tarangire

My children and I had an unforgettable trip to Tanzania with Zanzi Trekking and Safaris. We explored Tarangire, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and we saw the Big Five along with many other animals. The kids were amazed at every game drive. We also enjoyed the waterfalls and relaxed in the Chemka hot springs. The lodges and hotels were impeccable, and the food was delicious throughout the trip. Everything was well organised, communication was clear, and the team was very caring, which matters when travelling with children. I joined a 5-day safari with Zanzi Trekking and Safaris, and overall I had a really memorable and enjoyable experience. During the trip, I visited Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire, and I was lucky enough to see so many amazing animals, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and even a wildebeest river crossing, which was one of the highlights of my entire trip. Our guide worked hard to find the animals and communicated with other guides to give us the best possible game-drive experience. Even when plans changed or there were things that needed to be coordinated, the staff stayed in contact with me through WhatsApp and tried their best to help. On my last day, I had an evening flight from Arusha, and they kept checking with the driver to make sure I could get to the airport on time. I really appreciated how much they cared about this until the very end. The camping safari was definitely an adventure, but that was also part of what made the experience special. I felt safe throughout the five days and came home with so many unforgettable memories. Thank you to the whole team for taking care of me. I would happily recommend Zanzi Trekking and Safaris to other travelers, especially Korean travelers looking for a real safari experience in Tanzania! 😊

We had ana amazing safari together with our guide Aron. With kindness, a lot of knowledge and an amazing sense of humour, Aron made our safari days to the best we could have had. Also, we got the opportunity to get incredibly good help from the office, and we felt very comfortable during our entire stay! We are so thankful to be a part Zanzi family!

The overall experience was 4.5. Two different guides with outstanding knowledge resulted in a viewing of the Big 5 and all other animals that one would want to see on a safari. Combined, they delivered the results that were desired and made the price of the safari acceptable. From a lodging perspective, two out of three stays were outstanding. The exception was last minute/ day of change from a potential glamping experience to the Serengti Wildlife Lodge. Staying in a 70’s built hotel and labelled as an upgrade was a downer. Even worse was the reason for the change, sold out status, when the entire safari was paid for in advance but the reservation was sought at the last minute. Annual Mitigation - this was not my goal and we did not observe it. If this is one’s goal during the peak season, be very specific with your request/requirement when obtaining a quote. Per the guides, you will need to spend 3-4 days in the river area the 1-2 days in the central area then 1 day in The Crater. The Crater is beautiful. Overall, I am comfortable with recommending this company. When obtaining a quote for a solo or small group safari, clarification should be received on the details for a shared tour. Bundling a luxury tour package with participants on a budget tour package can impact travel logistics.

Great company for both the safari and Zanzibar. They made sure I was comfortable and enjoyed myself. They were responsive when communicating.

Honest was great! Definitely recommend. Had a great time in Tanzania. All our questions were answered honest came And briefed us before the tour. Also solved some concerns for us! Everything was wonderful. Hope to travel again with zanzi soon Reuben was the best guide definitely recommend.

We booked a 13-day itinerary in Kenya and Tanzania with Zanzi Trekking and Safaris, and I cannot recommend them enough. Every detail was carefully taken care of. The attention and dedication of Dennis and Honest were outstanding — they were always reachable and willing to help us with anything we needed. The team at Zanzi Trekking and Safaris is truly professional. The guides were very knowledgeable during the safaris in Kenya and Tanzania, and the crew for the Mount Meru hike was extremely dedicated. I loved having the chance to combine two very different experiences within one itinerary. As mentioned, if I ever go back to Kenya or Tanzania, I will definitely contact Zanzi again!

I did a 7 days safari trip with Zanzi trekking and safaris, including 2 days in Tarangire, 3 days Serengeti, 1 day Ngorongoro and 1 day Manyara. At the end the tour was done by one of the trusted partners of Zanzi trekking and safaris and I had 3 separate guides during these 7 days for different segments of my trip. I was aware of this kind of practices specially for a budget safari as the one that I booked and to be honest I think most companies do that, in my groups I even had people doing a mid range safari. The main problem with that they tried to accommodate different schedules, so sometimes your days is shortened so that part of your group can go back to Arusha. In that sense I think the 7 day safari may not bee truly a 7 days and given the price, I would recommend maybe 5 days including 3 at Serengeti and 1 full day in Ngorongoro. Given these kind of practices, as a tip you always have to inform your guide of what is your schedule and if you have to come back to Arusha or not that day and when or what kind of tour did you book (budget, mid-range, etc) because based on that, you may have a different cook, lodge, etc. As I said I chose a budget camping safari and the facilities were beyond what I was expecting even in the public campsites that I went, there were western toilets, even shower with hot water in some of the campsites and the tents were quite strong and spacious. The company upgraded me a couple of nights to a better accommodation and one day that we finished earlier the organised another activity to keep us busy. Having said that, I think specially the part including Serengeti and Ngorongoro was delivered by a very good company, thanks Zanzi for having such a great partner. The guides were good, knowledgeable, entertaining and understanding. We saw plenty of animals although we missed the leopard. Unforgetable experience.

My experience on this safari was absolutely extraordinary! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized, a warm welcome, clear explanations, and flawless care from start to finish. My son and had an amazing safari experience with Zazni. We saw a ton animals - including lions , cheetahs, leopards with cubs , very close encounters with elephants, giraffes, lions , and hyenas . Our driver Zamir was very skilled at getting us close to animals, knowledgeable on the terrain and animal habitats/ behaviors, he was respectful of the time we spent in different areas and what we wanted to see , the box lunches were filling and delicious, we had plenty of bottled water , he was even willing to start one day at 500 am since our time was limited that day due to an early flight. If we do another safari- we would for sure book with Zanzi !

I went on a safari tour with this company. They kept in touch with me frequently even before the tour started, so I was able to relax and enjoy the day.The day before the tour, they came to the hotel to discuss the details of the tour and carefully explained the schedule changes. During the tour, our guide Solomon did his best for us, providing detailed explanations and talking to keep things interesting. He listened to what animals we wanted to see and did his best to help us see them. He was a very reliable guide. Solomon is a person I respect and one of the people I was glad to meet in Tanzania. I had heard that they would give me a T-shirt and a cap before the tour, but I didn't have a chance to receive them, so I had given up, but on the last day they came to deliver them to me at the airport, and I ended up with the best souvenir.

This trip was something on my bucket list for a long time, and Zanzi trekking did not disappoint! From my initial inquiries, they were fast to respond to any questions and give me information I needed. It was a stress free booking process and the day before we started the tour, a member of the team, called Honest, came to our hotel to explain how it would all run. We started our 5 day tour with our driver called Ruben (sorry if I have spelt that wrong) picking us up. From the very start Ruben was great at giving all the information about what to expect on the 5 days. He was professional and full of knowledge. On the tour; Ruben tried his best to get us to all the animals we wanted to see. Any questions we had about the wildlife were well answered. Ruben told us he had studied wildlife at school and this shown. Another reason we went on the tour was for my birthday, to my surprise, in the Serengeti I was surprised with a birthday cake! Our chef had sorted this out and it’s something I cannot be thankful enough for. A true memory I’ll never forget. I had a really good time with this safari company. Everything was well organized, and I got to see lots of animals, which was amazing. The team was friendly and always checking in to make sure all was okay. It really coold in Ngorongoro so make sure that you are prepared. Otherwise in Panorama Camp the atention was perfect. It was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend them if you’re looking to go on safari.

We did a 3 days Safari tour to Serengueti and Ngorongoro with Zamir. It was amazing, he knows how to find the animals and is a really good driver. He manage to be in the park until last minute and also arrive on time to visit Olduvai Gorge, in which we were very interested. We definitely repeat again with him, thanks a lot!

Exceeded my expectations, so many close encounters with wildlife and owe it to our guide Zamire at Zanzi Safaris to make it happen! We had a herd elephants within feet of us and lions so close we could have touched them, all due to Zamire’s tremendous experience of knowing how to predict the animals behavior.

Awesome and great safari although they outsource everything and you get passed around quite a bit. You might be careful about being booked far from the safari for lodging.

The trip was fantastic. Our guide Zamiri is excellent, looking for lions on the grasslands. Our car is always the first to find it, always the best view, dedicated, full of details, and finally assisted the whole way through customs, great! It is highly recommended.
