It was a truly fantastic 4-day trip! Our driver and safari guide, Robert, was not only proactive but also a complete veteran, which allowed us to see all of the Big Five up close. The tour guides and overall service were absolutely perfect. The tents were cozy and comfortable as well. We've already decided to go back next year! ^^
We had an amazing time during our safari. Everything was well organised, we saw so many animals, we saw amazing landscapes… The best part of our safari was our Guide Mudy (Mohamed), we called him the G.O.A.T ( Greatest Of All Time). He was great, telling us everything, responding to our question all the time. We were four women so it was a lot of questions. Best safari ever ! I would recommend Muru slopes to everyone ! Thank you to Mudy for the best time and being the best guide !
This was absolutely perfect, we could not wish for a better guide, chef or group. We had contact with Jerome before the safari and he helped us with everything to get the perfect experience. Everything was included and we didn’t have to think about anything, they provided us with tents, sleeping bags, food and drinks for the whole trip.
It was a very fun experience and I enjoyed it fully. Our guide Patrick was very knowledgeable about different animals and even trees. He has an eagle eye and can spot a small head in the bushes when we would have missed it easily. He can also spot a leopard from a tree far away when we could not even see it hiding in the tree when he told us. We went for 4 days and we really enjoyed our stay at the camps. We will recommend Patrick as he really tries his best to give us the best experience. Even in the airport, my friend forgot her phone and Patrick came back to the airport to deliver it for her. We saw many wild animals up close and personal and I will definitely remember this memorable experience for life as we saw all of the big 5, super 7 and ugly 5!
We booked the safari with Meru Slopes on the advice of friends. Communication with Leonard was great. We paid in Tanzania before the start of the safari. Our personal guide for the next few days, Jackson, picked us up on time at our first accommodation and our adventure began. During the safari we learned a lot from Jackson about the animals, nature, the culture of the Africans, especially the Masai, and a few words in Swahili. The safari was great. Jackson did everything he could to show us as many animals as possible. The accommodation was beautiful and the food was great. All in all, we have nothing to complain about. Our expectations of the safari were far exceeded. We can only warmly recommend the tour with Meru Slopes to everyone.
We had a great, private 4-day safari with our amazing guide Francis! He really exceeded our expectations. We saw everything we could have hoped for and much more like sleeping in the Serengeti and the great migration happening right in front of us. The tour operator is very professional and they managed to meet all our wishes and answered all our questions in a timely manner. We can highly recommend this company.
Incredible Safari with Meru Slopes – Great Value and Experience! We went on a private safari with Meru Slopes in early July 2025 and had an amazing experience. From the beginning, communication with Jerome was easy and smooth—he was always helpful and quick to assist with planning our custom itinerary. Even when one lodge had to be changed, he immediately found a great alternative and kept us informed. All transfers were well-organized and included in the price, which was the most competitive we found for this level of service and accommodation. Our guide, Kunda, made the trip unforgettable. Friendly, knowledgeable, and always focused on making sure we saw as much wildlife as possible—he even fixed a minor mechanical issue himself before entering the park! He told great stories, spoke excellent English, and made us feel completely safe and entertained throughout the journey. The vehicle was super comfortable, with Wi-Fi, drinks, water, and chargers. We especially loved staying in the tented camps—it added a real sense of adventure. Serengeti and Ngorongoro were the highlights: breathtaking landscapes and tons of animals. Highly recommended—great team, great organization, and unforgettable memories!
Planning our trip: Meru Slopes had been recommended to us by colleagues so we got in touch to start planning our trip. Kelvin immediately gave us confidence in our decision with his guidance and patience in tailoring the trip for us. We were travelling with our 18 month old baby so had many questions about how best to accommodate her on the trip. Kelvin was helpful and informative throughout. Not only that but Kelvin was a superstar when the week we were due to be travelling both myself and the baby were poorly and unable to travel. Having asked Kelvin if there was any way we could delay the trip by a week he made it happen with no extra cost. We were blown away with his support and help - our once in a lifetime trip was saved!! Safari: Any nerves we had about how the baby would be on safari were put to rest by our incredible guide, Ombeni. Nothing was too much trouble. Hakuna matata all the way. It was no mean feat to manage Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro over 4 days but we did it and the baby was happy throughout. We saw the big 5 - something we hadn’t even imagined would be possible as we thought we’d be cutting game drives short every day. Ombeni used his expansive experience to choose smoother roads so the baby would be more comfortable; he realised that the baby was scared every time she met new people at each lodge so he discreetly let the staff know to give her some space until she felt settled. These are just a couple of the many things he did to make our safari not only a success but an absolute joy. We have had the most amazing time, lifelong memories made with our beautiful daughter (who now wakes up asking to see the monkeys every day!). We really couldn’t be happier with our experience! Thank you Kelvin and Ombeni! Accommodation: we stayed at the Forest Hill Lodge in Arusha, Hhando Coffee Lodge in Ngorongoro, Serengeti Luxury Tented Lodge in the Serengeti, back to Hhando and then finished in Arusha Planet Lodge. All stunning. All with super accommodating and lovely staff. A huge thank you to all of the staff and to Kelvin for arranging such incredible accommodation for us. We loved every minute and are already talking about when we might come back someday.
It was truly a dream. The entire experience was well organized. We were picked up at the airport and brought to stay at the Arusha Tourist Inn Hotel. The next morning, as agreed, we were picked up at 6:00 AM to begin our safari adventure! During the safari, we had a great guide named Andrew! Once again, thank you Andrew — you were an amazing guide with a great sense of humor! There was also a chef who joined us on the safari and took care of all the meals throughout the trip. Everything was perfectly arranged. Before you know it, the food is already on the table and all you have to do is sit down and enjoy! The accommodations were good and just as expected. Once again, it was a dream come true! Thank you, Meru Slopez, for the amazing experience!
Amazing experience. We loved this trip, the staff from Meru Slopes are the best. Our guide Juma was fantastic we learned a lot. I truly recommend this company
We decided to go on a safari tour and after doing some recommendation checkups through the internet decided to go with Meru Slopes. from the beginning they were really communicative and helpful. Almachius answered all my questions and helped with the trip itinerary. We were picked up by Nuru, our guide, from Arusha airport and driven straight to the safari. The safari was wonderful and Nuru was excellent!!!! he is really a great guide. he is very knowledgeable about the animals, their habitat and the surroundings. He knew to spot animals from a very long way away and also to bring us in really near so we can see up close. We got to see a lot of animals (including all the big 5). It was like being part of a national geographic series :-) When ever we were on a game drive we got to have the roof up so we can stand in the jeep looking out and taking pictures. The weather was for most of the time great. just the occasional rain. The lodges we stayed at were great and our packed lunches were good (btw i am Celiac and Nuru made quite sure that the food was ok for me to eat. we had a lot of rice and curry which was really tasty. also note for Celiacs - most chefs don't understand that Soya contains wheat so just remember to tell them this) The safari was planned really well and the 4 days just flew by, and except for a couple of hiccups along the way everything went really smoothly and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. it was all i had hoped for and much much more :-) I really recommend going with Meru Slopes and don't forget to ask for Nuru to be your guide :-)
Without a doubt this is an experience you cannot miss. From the beginning getting in contact with Jerome to plan our safari holidays was excellent. Quick and clear communication via email and WhatsApp that was our preference, was clear and accurate. Communication tu understand option and plan to the best of our wants and needs could not have been better. Also, Jerome was there to receive us at airport upon arrival which was great, as he was able to explain some fun facts and words/phrases as well as kindly guide us in next steps. Our driver Asantaeli was prompt to pick us up from hotel and during our 4 day safari he granted us with the most amazing experience: being a true guide explaining next steps, stories about locations and details about animals, as well as making we saw what we wanted including cheetah and rhino which are not only hard to find, but cannot be assured. He was great compay, driver and guide, made sure we had everything we needed at all times, including coordinating schedule with our amazing chef Yohana, from who we were happy to get local cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We really liked the taste of local food, Yohana was always clear in presenting the dishes and answering our curious food questions. This safari was absolutely worth the $, we are very happy with the entire experience, unique and Meru makes sure to adapt to your needs and time frame (as well as dropping us at airport to make sure we get in time for our flight). They really made sure we had absolutely everything we could need and more. We are very grateful to the entire team of Meru slopes for an unforgettable experience!
Good agency always trying to solve a problem. Good service. Guide Moody: our recommendation for him- good safe driver/important here/always trying to best for his clients/ serving with interesting facts and information. We saw all the animals we wanted to see: even the seldom seen rhinos.Spectacular landscapes. Spectacular world of animals. Absolutely worth booking. Small minus: too much plastic used for meals.
We did the 6day tour in October with our guide Jacob (Jacobo) in tarangire, serengeti and ngorongoro crater. We are extremely thankful to have had such a great guide that taught us a lot about the nature (animals, trees, tanzania in general) as well as Swahili. In addition he would not only drive us around but also be on the lookout for animals with his own binoculars to help us find them and also take into consideration what we were hoping to see. Asante sana Jacob! All in all we liked the organisation of Meru Slopes Tours and we would recommend it to everyone. Cédric & Carine from Luxembourg
We had a wonderful and unforgettable Safari trip with our guide Samwel just few days ago. We spent half day in Tarangire, 2 1/2 days in Serengeti, 1/2 in Ngorongoro and took 3 hours hiking at Kilimanjaro at the end. We were able to see all the Big Five Animals as well as the great migration. Samwel just knows how, when and where to see the animals. The Jeep was comfortable for 2 persons and it was cleaned by our guide everyday. We booked a mid range safari, the accommodations were even better than our expectations. Before our booking we had a video call with Jerome, the sales person, to clarify our questions which was very helpful. We even got a SIM card for free which can be used in Zansibar as well. Overall we had a wonderful Safari experience thank our guide!
Coming from Germany, we did a private 4 day safari (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro) tour and it was one of the most memorable experiences we have had and this is in large part due to the service of Meru and our guide Robert. Geofrey, owner of Meru Slopes, was very welcoming and responsive from the first contact on (whatsapp). He was also available for a quick phone call through whatsapp ahead of the booking. He provided a complimentary pick-up service from the airport for the first night in Arusha and also a drop-off service. He also offered a complimentary stay at one of the local hotels. The safari itself also went very smooth and nothing short of amazing. Our guide Robert went above and beyond to make sure that everything is okay and that we get to see all sorts of animals including the Big 5 (from very close even the Rhino). We were also very lucky with Robert who is a true animal lover and that really came through as he explained us a everything around the animals we saw. Other amenities we appreciated were wifi on board, very good car quality / tire quality (which is essential, because those “roads” are bumpy) and hot lunch (even wine and soft drinks includes). Overall, we can highly recommend Meru Slopes and our guide Robert and would book it all over again anytime.
Booked a 4 day safari in Tarangire, Ngorogoro and Serengeti. Excellent experience. Communication with Meru Slopses company was quick, sharp and thrustwotrhy the whole time. On the safari: Fantastic driver and guide. He was really good at spotting interesting wildlife and had a great understanding of getting close to the animals without desturbing them. His knowledge about wildlife and local nature in general was big, and he was really good at passing relevant information to us during the trip.. We learned so much about african wildlife and culture. Interesting. Food was also nice during the trip and accomodation was a super nice experience.. I can highly recommend Meru Slopes as operatur on a safari trip.
The organization of the tour was superb! Everything was arranged very smoothly. The guide Max has guided us very well and the cook Gabi made delicious meals. I asked in advance some adjustments instead of camping and they gave me WONDERFUL lodges to stay overnight. All in all a wonderful experience!
What a great tour! It is very complete, the jeep is comfortable and every day is very well organized. The activities are designed to have good weather in each place and at this time of year we could see all the animals very close. The guide Max is very friendly, explains each animal place in English. The food is good and plentiful, we had our own chef in the group.
Very good experience. Everything went very well. Very experienced guides at all levels. From locating the animals to driving the 4X4.
A fantastic experience, starting with Jerome who was our contact and was available at every request. Both the overnight stay in the tent in the serengeti and the lodges chosen by Meru Slopes met expectations. Our driver Julius was a truly knowledgeable and valuable guide throughout the experience. Thank you again for letting us experience the real Africa! See you next time!
A truly unforgettable experience. We managed to see practically all the animals even though we only did four days. The 3 parks we visited allowed us to see the various animals in habitats totally different from each other but all 3 wonderful. Very good food. You also stay the very nice ones. Suggestive one inside the Serengeti park where we stayed 2 nights. Kelvin, the organizer has been very helpful and punctual in the responses since before the start. Ezechiel, the guide, made everything even more beautiful, kind, helpful, incredible driver and wonderful person as well as very prepared. Truly a magical experience that I would recommend to everyone.
We did a 4-day safari with Meru Slopes Tours & Safari, visiting Tarangire National Park, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. It was an absolutely unforgettable and breathtaking experience! The tour was perfectly organized from start to finish. The jeep was very comfortable and ideally equipped for safari. We would particularly like to highlight our fantastic guide Asantaeli. His many years of experience were felt in every situation. He had an incredible sense of where to find the animals and showed us the Big Five as well as many other exciting animals. In addition, he has taught us an incredible amount about wildlife and beautiful Tanzania with his impressive expertise. His passion and knowledge have made the tour very special. We can fully recommend Meru Slopes Tours & Safari and thank Asantaeli and the entire team for this unique adventure.
It was a great time, nice accommodations, all seen imaginable. Mohamed our driver very safe, great knowledge, mega good eyes, very pleasant. Highly recommended.
We went on a 4-day safari to Serengeti, Ngoron-goro Crater and Tarangire. Our guide, Moodi, was committed and did everything for us to see all the animals. We all saw the Big-Five. Both lion and rhinoceros were the first to be seen by our guide out of alka guides/jeeps. They are in contact with each other so soon more and more jeeps came. Our chef, Johanni, fixed all the meals. The food was OK, could have been hotter. The chicken is often too hard grilled. But absolutely OK then n but an can hardly expect the same quality as at a restaurant out in the wilderness.. On the whole, Neru Slooes gets a good rating and can be recommended
y friends and I enjoyed this tour so much with our guide Florian. He is super experienced and gave us a unique experience. The support from Almachius (sales manager) was also very good at all times. Overnight stays before and after the safari as well as a shuttle to the airport were organized for us. On the tour itself, every day and every meal was freshly cooked for us and so delicious. Thank you for that! The tour stood out positively from the other providers because there are no packed lunchboxes, but a picnic with fresh and delicious dishes (veggies also possible). The safari was also a complete success. We saw all the "Big Five" up close, a cheetah hunt and breathtaking natural spectacles. The highlight was definitely camping next to elephants. I can recommend Meru Slopes 100% and would book it again and again including camping next to wild elephants. English: My friends and I enjoyed this tour so much together with our guide Florian.
