Kelvin and Gord are amazing guides. Both very kind and knowledgeable on the animals, trees, and culture. Always available to answer our many questions and very accomodating for taking pictures. Great experience !

Itinerary
Day 1
1
After breakfast, the tour departs between 08:30 - 09:00. After breakfast your private guide will pick you up and your private safari with private 4x4 safari vehicle starts. The first park visited is Tarangire where you will arrive at the lodge for lunch and will enjoy an afternoon game drive. The park is famous for its high density of elephants and baobab trees. Visitors to the park in the June to November dry season can expect to see large herds of thousands of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo. Other common resident animals include waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant's gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon. Predators in Tarangire include African lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog.
Day 2
2
After breakfast, you depart for Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park.
Day 3
3
An early morning coffee, tea and biscuit for refreshment, then proceed with lunch boxes for early morning game drive between 08:00 - 14:30 hours. Then after, we will depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area while enjoying a game drive en route viewing along the way to where you will have dinner and overnight.
Day 4
4
After an early breakfast of coffee, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here. Later on, will follow the transfer back to Arusha city for drop off in your hotel

Reviews
We decided to buy this safari based on its excellent price and the amazing reviews. We were at first disappointed by communication issues: the hotel where we were lodging in Arusha was not written correctly in our invoice, so we initially arrived at the wrong place. Then, a briefer met us at the hotel and told us that our guide would pick us at the hotel the next morning to go to Tarangire. However, instead of our guide, a man in an unidentified van said he had to bring us to join another group and that we would start with Serengeti instead. After a 2-hour trip, we were dropped at a campsite and it took another 30 minutes to receive any explanation about what was happening. Our second issue was with the tour organization: in a way to minimize the number of groups, the company mixes people on different accommodation modes and who are at different moment of the same tour. Our group was composed of a mix of people camping and lodging, so our game drives started later and finished sooner than if everyone in the car was camping (as people lodging were sometimes as far as 1 hour from the campsite). By doing so, the overall quality of the tour decreased for the group. The first 3 days, we joined a group who had already started the previous day with the guide Pascal. Pascal was kind and shared interesting information about animals. We saw a lot animals in Serengeti and Ngorongoro. However, we felt rushed at multiple occasions: after a few hours the second day, the game drive became a fast drive to exit the park as soon as possible. Same thing at Ngorongoro, where we were rushed to leave the crater to make sure we leave the park in time. Campings were packed with an enormous amount of tents, but the tent and sleeping bags were very confortable and our chef Lucas cooked delicious meals. As we hadn’t visit Tarangire the first day, we joined another group the fourth day with the guide Robert. Our experience with Robert was amazing, he gave us plenty of explanations on animals, found an amazing number of animals (including many lions) and we never felt rushed during the game drive (even though one of the group member had a plane to take at the end of the day). Overall, we would still recommend this tour, but would advise to opt for at least an extra day in the Serengeti if you want to have the chance to enjoy some proper game drive in this park. This tour is not made to maximize the amount of time spent in the parks, but is a good option for someone looking for a cheaper and relax safari option.
We saw so many animals and learned a great deal thanks to our guide. A huge thank you to our guide, Melita—she’s truly the best, absolutely lovely and so passionate! ❤️ The safari is very well organized, and the lodges are fantastic. I recommend it 100%—thank you for an unforgettable experience! 😍 Asante Sana Melita ! 🦁🦒
Amazing wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and a fantastic camping experience close to nature. A huge thank you to our guide Melita, who was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate. He made this adventure truly special! We couldn’t recommend this experience enough. Asante sana, Melita!
Pascal was an exceptional guide—knowledgeable, attentive, and skilled at keeping us moving so we could maximize every wildlife encounter\. We saw all of the Big Five, witnessed a thrilling lion hunt, and enjoyed unforgettable sightings of zebras, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, and a lion pride with cubs\. Pius was equally outstanding, preparing delicious meals and keeping our tents organized with warmth and care\. Together, they made our safari truly unforgettable\. Highly recommended\!
Everything is ok, we have good company in the car
We had an absolutely fantastic safari and are still completely thrilled with the experience! Our trip took us through Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater, where we were able to spot the few remaining rhinos right inside the crater – an absolute goosebump moment. The best part: Thanks to our amazing guide Steve (he has the eye of a tiger!), absolutely nothing escaped us! We saw an incredible variety of wildlife – from numerous lions, cheetahs, and the hard-to-find cats to majestic elephants, giraffes, warthogs, meerkats, zebras, gnus, and various antelopes. It almost felt like dreaming when Simba and Pumbaa suddenly stood right there! Steve not only drove us safely through the wilderness, but also provided us with an incredible amount of expert knowledge: from fascinating facts about the different animal species and biodiversity to their lifespan and behavior. You could really tell how much heart and soul he puts into his work. Salim and Godwin were our chefs and prepared fresh, incredibly delicious food for us every single day! On top of that, the accommodations were a dream, and the wildlife came right to us: At night, zebras and gnus stood right around our camp. In the first camp, an elephant even crossed our path, beautiful giraffes could be seen, and at night, hyenas came straight onto the campsite. It was consistently exciting, educational, and simply an experience of a lifetime. Absolutely recommended! 5 out of 5 stars!
An Unforgettable Safari with an Incredible Team! 🐘🦁🌍 Our safari was an absolutely unforgettable experience, and we owe so much of it to our amazing team: Steve, Salim, and Godwin! They were not only fantastic guides, but also wonderful cooks and brilliant organizers who made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. A special shout-out to Steve, our incredible driver and wildlife spotter! His knowledge, patience, passion, and dedication made every day special. He showed us breathtaking wildlife moments, spotted even some of the rarest animals, and did everything possible to bring us as close as safely and respectfully possible. Thanks to him, we witnessed moments we will remember for the rest of our lives. Along the way, he shared fascinating insights into Tanzania’s wildlife, nature, and culture, making the experience so much richer than simply seeing animals. Salim and Godwin were equally wonderful, making sure we were well taken care of, well fed, and always in good hands. The food was delicious, the organization was excellent, and the whole team made us feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. What made this safari truly special was not just the incredible animals and landscapes, but the people behind the experience. Their enthusiasm, kindness, humor, and genuine passion made every day an adventure. You could really feel that they wanted us to have the best possible experience, and they went above and beyond to make that happen. If you're planning a safari in Tanzania, we couldn't recommend this team more highly! We came for the wildlife but left with unforgettable memories, countless stories to tell, and huge appreciation for these wonderful people. Asante sana, Steve, Salim, and Godwin! ❤️ You made our safari truly magical, and we will never forget it!
We highly recommend our guide and driver, Simon! He is knowledgeable, caring, and an excellent driver. Thanks to him, we had an amazing safari experience and got to see so many incredible things. We’re truly grateful to have had this wonderful trip with him.
The whole experience is spectacular and exciting all at the same time! I love how organise our tour guide with pick up and the whole flow of our schedule. Our guide Franco is one of the best guide I ever had, incredible parks and animals, we saw the big 5, he gave us good amount of time to observe the animals while giving us useful info about them. Our chef Pius and his team are just amazing, they made really tasty food the whole tour. Highly recommed!
The animals and the landscape were amazing. The organisation of the tour was a bit chaotic. I had to change cars several times; the first driver did not know where to go. The schedule was changed but no one informed me. On one day we arrived at 2:30 pm at the camp which was very early and I wished we had spent more time in the national park. The driver (from the hotel to the airport) was almost one hour too late and I was afraid that I will miss my flight (did not happen). The food was good, the mattress and the sleeping bag in the tents were fine.
Steve was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgeable and had a lot of stories and jokes to tell during the long driving days and made time fly. He prioritized finding animals we hadn't seen yet to make sure we would get the full experience. The highlight was seeing 6 rhinos in the crater on our last day thanks to Steve's timing and persistence! He also helped us with coordinating logistics and finding the best prices and always could find us a washroom easily when needed. The tents and camp were comfortable and even on honeymoon it was a lot of fun and a great experience. We also did the hot air balloon and enjoyed delicious home cooking from Sampson every day. All in all we had a blast!
Was knowledgeable, professional, and a great piece of the safari! Wouldn’t have been the same without him.
Once in a lifetime safari with Suricata made our vacation speechless thanks to Melita who navigated us through the endless plain(Serengeti) 10/10
This has always been an ambition to go on safari and it has certainly been superb. From the moment we were picked up and welcomed by our guide ANTON it has been very memorable. We saw the so called BIG 5 across 3 days with many other animals thrown in.Anton was always well presented, polite and very very helpful and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond for our group of 6 and was a great pleasure to have him as our guide. Nothing was too much for him and he is a massive credit to your Suricata safari company. I would personally recommend your company and anyone to ask for Anton to be there guide. ***** for Anton.
Simon was an amazing safari tour guide during our honeymoon! He took the time to explain the history, behavior, and interesting details about each animal we saw, which made the experience even more special. He also went above and beyond to help us find the Big Five, and we were lucky enough to see them all! 🦁🐘🐆🦏🐃 I would highly recommend Simon to anyone looking for an excellent safari tour guide. If you have Simon as your guide, you’re in great hands!
Our guide Simon and chef Salim that we’re leading the safari can really not be recommended. They obviously did not care about the animals or the experience, and told us they do not like the big 5 - at one point they drove directly into a heard of animals on the road expecting them to move, luckily they did last minute. They didn’t communicate anything at all, so we didn’t feel safe traveling 4-days without receiving any information about what what’s happening when. They clearly got annoyed when we expressed our wishes, as they were not taking us the right places during the game drives, but mainly driving at the main road. We travelled with a young man, that was travelling alone, who was very anxious because they forced him to write 5-star reviews while they were looking, and we weren’t around. And they became angry with him for not giving enough tips, and told him that he should give more. The whole tipping thing made all of us very uncomfortable as it seemed forced, and they became angry for not getting a certain amount. The whole vibe was just very off on the whole safari.
We had a marvellous safari over six days in a jeep. We saw many animals of the savannah, elephants, lions, cheetah, rinocerous, dik dik, gazelles, hippopotamus, birds of all kinds, baboons and monkeys. It was great but I have to say that six days being jolted around in a jeep are a bit too much, however the discomfort was compensated by seeing all the wonderful animals.
For a « budget safari », this trip completely exceeded my expectations. Our guide Gerald made the trip unforgettable, and had a real talent for finding the animals and positioning the car to give us the best view. The meals prepared by the chef were delicious, some of the best food I’ve had in Tanzania, and the camping experience was really unique. I got to meet lots of other cool travelers and the whole Suricata team was very organised and welcoming. I would 100% recommend.
Having done a few safaris around Africa, I can confidently say this was the best. Our guide Gerald for Days 1 to 3 was superb. He knew exactly where to go in the parks to find the animals we had told him we wanted to see, and we got up close with the Big 5 and Ugly 5, including watching two hunts, one involving lions and another involving a leopard. He spent long days driving between parks while maintaining a great attitude and positive energy throughout. The food also exceeded our expectations. Every meal was hot and there was a good selection each time. The tents were large and comfy, all set up ahead of our arrival. On Day 4 (12/09/2026), we were given a new guide, vehicle and group. The vehicle had a row of three seats at the back, and I ended up in the middle. The open sides helped offset this somewhat, although on a few occasions the vehicle was positioned in a way that made it harder for those of us at the back to see the wildlife, and we had to ask the driver to move. There were also a few occasions where we would have liked to spend a little longer watching some amazing wildlife, but the guide moved on (maybe time pressure?). On another occasion, he asked if we wanted to stop and watch some wildlife, we said yes, and he continued driving. These were only minor points, but worth mentioning. Overall, this was an incredible safari and I would highly recommend Suricata. Days 1 to 3 in particular were exceptional, and Gerald was a fantastic guide who really helped make the experience so memorable. The wildlife, food, organisation and overall experience were all excellent, and we would happily do it again.
There is something wild about lying in a tent in the Serengeti listening to hyenas in the distance. Suricata Safaris gave us an authentic 4-day experience. Jeremy is an absolute legend—he spotted a cheetah hiding under a bush when nobody else could see a thing. The 6 hours in Ngorongoro crater on the last day felt like a movie. Unforgettable memories.
Be prepared for a lot of dust and very early morning wake-up calls! The drives between parks are long, but Jeremy made sure we took stretch breaks and kept the 4x4 land cruiser comfortable. Seeing the baobab trees in Tarangire and huge zebra herds in Serengeti made up for all the dusty roads. Camping setup is simple but clean, and the food prepared by the cook was hot and satisfying. Solid local operator.
We were on Safari in Tansania, booked with Tansania Specialist from 13th until 19th August 2026. We were very satisfied with the organization. The lodges (Samoa River Lodge in Arusha, Foot on Africa Lodge war fabtastisch, die Osoua Tented Lodge in der Serengeti, Mnayara Best View einfach super) during the safari were all good to very good. Our Safari guide Ally Shabani Killo is a warmhearted man, extremely reliable, always helpful and a very skilled driver. He mastered even the most difficult sections of the route with great skill. Ally always guided us safely through the wilderness and took good care of us. He took us to fascinating locations, he stopped his Jeep whenever we asked him to stop. We saw the big 5. We had plenty of time to observe the animals and to take pictures in the Tarangiri Nationalpark, the Serengeti Nationalpark and the Ngorongoro Area. It was simply overwhelming. Our guide Ally Shabani Killo posseses very good German and English skills. So we were able to learn a lot from him. He was always ready to listen to our questions and requests. All in all we had a wonderful and unforgettable Time on our Safari. We highly recommend a Safari with Tansania Specialist and of course our guide Ally Shabani Killo.
We had a wonderful experience; we managed to see all the Big Five and our guide Melita was excellent.
Simon, our guide, was absolutely wonderful and friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we didn't miss a thing. We visited Tarangire National Park and spotted a great variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffalo, banded mongoose, and many more species throughout the day. A huge thank you to Suricata Safaris for organizing such a smooth and memorable experience. To top it all off, the lodge we stayed at was stunning, a true paradise to unwind in after such an incredible day out in the bush. Highly recommend!
Frank was wonderful ! Really cool comments and he did his best to find what we wanted to see ! We’ve see the Léopard twice in two days ! Big up to Frank !
Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The safari was extremely well organized, and the communication before and during the trip was excellent. Our guide, Anthony, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and incredibly reliable. He did everything he could to make sure we saw as many animals as possible, and he made the whole experience truly unforgettable. We always felt safe and knew we could completely rely on him throughout the safari. The organization and reliability of Suricata Safari were outstanding. Everything was handled perfectly, and the experience was absolutely worth every dollar. A special mention also goes to our chef, Salim, who prepared delicious and authentic meals for us every day. The food was amazing and made the whole experience even more wonderful! We had an incredible time and saw so many amazing animals. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! I highly recommend Suricata Safari to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari experience in Tanzania!
Unforgettable Safari Experience with Suricata Safaris and Carlie is the best guide we could have
Really nice experience with Luther s Driver Ngoro Ngoro Park was amazing
Wonderful experience to see the big 5, thanks to our guide Lewis
Lewis has been exceptional, the best driver and guide I could ever wish for. Precise, kind, funny and professional. All my group enjoyed spending these days with him, he has given us all the info about the animals and the park and he was always there for us, for every need. Thank you Lewis, you will not be forgotten! I’ll be back!
Lewis is the best driver For this fantastic experience.
Had great experience, thank you.
The guide was very very knowledgeable!!We saw many animals! The big5 we saw it!The guide Frank was very good! His driving technique was so good!!!We want to join the tour again.
Highly recommend suricata safaris and our guide Jessy. Jessy made his best for our group to see most wildlife possible and he was very caring and attentive for everyone's needs. He respected our choices at all times and never pressured us into buying anything or leaving a review. People did it anyways. It made the whole experience feel genuine, and I wish more guides would take the same approach. I will also like to highlight the chef Salim who with his team provided excellent food exceeding our expectations. Need to mention however campsites are not perfect, there was no hot water everywhere and the lights were not always on in the toilets. You should see that as part of the charm and it can't reverse the amazing safari experience.
Rasta Man! He was the best guide I've ever had. He explained everything about the animals and had such a big knowledge! Would recommend it!
Yeah quite good, especially for the price. Rasta Man was a great guide and seems to know everyone. Beautiful campsites and we saw the big 5, including 4 cheetah cubs. Good for solo traveling. The place you stay before and after is also really comfortable. And the food throughout was surprisingly good. 4 days seems optimal. Tarangire park was just okay, but Serengeti and Ngorongoro were so good.
Our safari with Suricata Safaris exceeded every expectation. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, and the entire team made this a trip we’ll never forget. The absolute highlight of our safari was witnessing something incredibly rare: we watched a leopard successfully hunt a gazelle, and moments later, a hyena came and stole the prey from the leopard! It was one of the most incredible wildlife moments I’ve ever experienced, and we were lucky enough to see it thanks to our amazing guide. A huge thank you to Amiri, our guide. He was professional, knowledgeable, incredibly friendly, and always made sure we were in the best position to witness the wildlife. Without his experience and dedication, we would never have experienced such an unforgettable moment. Thank you so much again, Amiri! I’d also like to thank our chef for preparing delicious meals throughout the trip. The food was excellent and always something to look forward to after a day of adventure. Finally, a big thank you to Atman for organizing everything so smoothly. The entire experience was seamless, and it truly showed how much care goes into every safari. If you’re thinking about doing a safari in Tanzania, I couldn’t recommend Suricata Safaris more highly. Thank you all for the memories—we’ll definitely be back. Until next time!
Great 4 day safari, where we managed to see all big five animals and way more. Our guide Gordon always tried to show us as much as possible, explained everything very well and made the best of our time. Suricata Safaris organized everything very well, from airport pickup to building our tents to airport drop off. The food during the safari was always very good, fresh and abundant. I would highly recommend going on safari with Suricata and come back anytime.
Excellent experience, the guide was very attentive and knew his area very well, allowing him to answer all questions.
A great trip especially if you are traveling solo through Tanzania. Our guide Luther knew everything about the animals. We saw everything ranging from elephants to lions. Would highly recommend to anyone who would like to some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife and landscapes
This is a good value safari that covers 3 beautiful parks. We successfully saw almost all of the animals we'd hoped to see, and were overall happy with the experience. The pros: Very comfortable tents, pillows, and sleeping pads, we slept great the entire time. Camping in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater parks was amazingly memorable. The first night's campsite was basically in an enclosed hotel lawn area, but it was quite nice because there were good bathrooms/showers and a swimming pool. Safe driving from our guide on the bumpy roads, and the car was comfortable and clean. The provided meals were filling and decent. Our guide made sure we were safe and comfortable. Room for improvement: At times we felt the organization of the trip could have been improved, as we got a late start on a couple of mornings despite waking up at 6am to be ready to go on time. Our group was expecting to be served wine with dinner (as was advertised) but we had to flag down the chef and ask for the wine every night, which was kind of awkward to do 3 nights in a row. Not sure why this happened especially when all the other groups around us were getting served beverages. Maybe just an oversight but it struck us all as a little odd. The meals were well-made and filling, but we were served the same meat entree (beef stew) all 3 nights; it would have been really nice to have something else. Lastly, we would have appreciated more wildlife expertise from our guide as sometimes we asked questions about the animals but got pretty surface level answers. Lastly, we were not aware that the 3rd day included a visit to a Masai Boma that cost an additional $15 USD per person. It was communicated to us day-of and it was not clear that it was optional until we explicitly asked. Me, my wife, and one other couple stayed in the car for the visit, and it was fine. Heads up on tipping: we were not aware we'd be expected to tip our chef and driver separately. Everyone in our group had expected to submit their tips as a lump sum at the end (as was customary for our Kilimanjaro trek, etc), but it seemed as though we were expected to have separate amounts for each, which was awkward because some of us did not have smaller bills to split the tips. Suricata should communicate the tipping expectations more clearly in the pre-safari briefing so we could have been better prepared. Overall we would recommend this safari to anyone who wants to make the most of a short time frame and tighter budget. We were happy we went with the camping option over the mid-range, because the tents were super comfortable and we got to stay right within the parks for 2 nights and see wildlife from our campsite. Suricata could definitely improve its communication overall, and be more upfront about the Masai village visit and tipping process.
It was incredibly beautiful four days. We saw all kinds of animals. The guide gave everything to make the Big Five possible - with success. Nothing was missing. The guide also had a lot of information about the animals, nature and history. However, the mattresses of the tents were very thin and half an hour before the desired time should be planned, as a delay of half an hour is almost normal.
Amazing experience, well organised and we saw so much. Tanzania very varied country, so much wildlife we ticked of the LionKing checklist of animals and more. Some of the campsites were quite basic but my only complaint was the sleeping bags which were not good.
Jeremy was an excellent driver and guide. He has an impressive knowledge of the animals and was able to share fascinating information about every species we saw. He also always made sure that everyone in the group was comfortable and enjoying the experience. With him you see lots of animal!!! The food during the safari was also very good. About 90% of the meals consisted of rice, vegetables, and chicken. The tents were fine and perfectly adequate for a camping safari.
We saw all the Big 5 and more, it was wonderful! Camps were OK, nothing fancy but that’s expected. Food was great.
Great experience, we saw all from the big 10. Diners were excellent with plenty of food. Camps were nice, washrooms could be cleaner.
La experiencia fue inolvidable, el trato magnífico y me enamoré de Tanzania por completo. Repetiría sin dudar. The experience was fantastic, the guides were super kind and I fell in love with Tanzania. I would repeat the experience without a doubt.
We had a great time on safari with Charles. We were amazed to have been all of the animals. I would definitely recommend. Charles is a great guide and gave lots of info on the animals, the parks and the country. Charles was a good driver and made sure that we all got to see the animals. Although whilst the safari itself was great, we thought communication with the office lacked after we had paid. They were constantly messaging us before booking and once we booked we didn't get much info from them. On arrival to Kilimanjaro our airport transfer did not show up and we could not het gold of Suricata, thankfully the other taxi drivers were able to contact Suricata for us, but we did have to wait in the car for the next flight to arrive to pick up another couple! Also, when departing, our airport transfer to Arusha was 30 mins late to collect us.
We had seven-people group! It was definitely one of my favorite trip so far. Thanks our guide Luther - we could make unforgettable memories in Tanzania!
