The most incredible trip of my life! I can’t thank Yuna enough — she was amazing from beginning to end! She answered all our questions with so much patience, and once we arrived everything was absolutely perfect. The accommodations were beautiful, the service outstanding, and everyone we met was incredibly kind. We always had plenty of food and water — we didn’t miss a thing! The Serengeti was beyond worth the long drive, and every park had its own unique magic. This experience is something I’ll never forget. I’m so grateful to Yuna and her entire team. I’ll recommend them to everyone — and I’d book with them again in a heartbeat!

Itinerary
Day 1
1
After safari briefing we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa - the Serengeti National Park - with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti's species.
Day 2
2
After breakfast, have full day game drive in the park, lunch at lodge /campsite. The park have endless plain which is a home for lion, leopard, elephants, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest migration, eland, wild dog, gazelle, crocodiles and many more. Also you will enjoy variety of birds that decorate the park with different sounds.
Day 3
3
Enjoy early breakfast, have morning game drive, Then we depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area with game drive en route.
Day 4
4
After breakfast, you descend into the crater, enjoy game drive in the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor. Late afternoon drive back to Arusha

We booked with BestDay Safari. My partner and I still impressed after almost a week. Such a beautiful experience. Our assigned driver, John, was professional and very funny. We were very well taken care of. We particularly enjoyed the Ngorongoro Ordeali Hotel. What a stunning place. The performances by the dancers and the food was great. We would’ve loved to see more predators (animals) but that’s no one’s fault. We will definitely coming again. Only two things I’d change: 1. Better lunch meal for day one as it’s a 10 hours drive from Arusha to the Serengeti. One lunch meal with no snacks and other beverages except water. This would’ve been nice. 2. Let tourists know before hand about the dust during the drive that they should perhaps bring face masks, or provide those for guests. Otherwise, beautiful experience. Yuna and her partners from BestDay Safari- you were all phenomenal. Thank you. We will see you again soon.
These were days we will never forget. The organization by Bestdays Safari was flawless in every way. Yuna is a truly special person – she fulfilled every single request of mine, going above and beyond all expectations. She was attentive, caring, and always present from the very beginning until the end of the trip. Muro, our guide, was simply outstanding. Tireless and incredibly knowledgeable, he did everything he could to make sure we saw as many animals as possible. His passion and dedication made the experience even more special. I wholeheartedly recommend this agency to anyone looking to experience an authentic, safe, and truly unforgettable safari. Thank you for everything!
The staff at Bestday Safaris made my long awaited dream come true. I had been dreaming of spending time in Serengeti for years and after meeting Stephen, he guided me so well. We made plans that fit our budget, our wishes, best hotel stays during the safari, and last but not the least - our guide Muro 😍 He treated us so well, at the end of the trip, super warm and treated us like his daughters. We spotted all the big 5 and Muro was very adaptable to our wishes. I could not have asked for more. Simply the best 💯
The whole experience and safari was amazing. Xenia and her colleagues helped us with a great planning before hand. Driver Moro was very experienced and could tell us all the information about the animals we needed. The tukaone camp was very great, good food, nice staff and luxury tents. Visiting the Serengeti was a lifetime experience and we would definitely recommend BestDay Safaris.
Stunning experience of a lifetime. We got up close and personal with many lions, elephants, zebra, wildebeest, hyena, etc. Great photos. Great guides. Great time. Can not say enough good things about Peter and his outstanding guides. From now on they are the go to folks for a truly amazing experience on Safari. I simply can not say enough complementary things about their team.
We did a five-day tour with Best Days Safari. We had a lot of fun with our guide Jackson. He is really very open-minded and went out of his way to answer every question we had. In terms of organization, it couldn't have been better.
We did a 4 day tour including Ndutu, Central Serengeti and Ngorongoro. A must-do in life! Really recommend Best day safari, and especially the tour guide Jackson! An amazing tour guide who gave us memories for life. // Sweden
This safari company was incredible. The entire staff was amazing. Peter took care of us from the very beginning to the end. Our driver, Muro, was fantastic and made sure we saw all the animals. The lodging and accommodations were great. The hotels and yurt were clean with AC and hot water). I have a restricted diet (I’m a pescatarian) and the cooks at each of our destinations were able to accommodate me. The last day of the safari was my birthday. Peter arranged a surprise cake for me and the staff at the hotel sang happy birthday. It was the best birthday trip. Our other driver, Freeman, was also wonderful and made sure we made it safely to and from the airport. He even helped us with our Swahili. I have already recommended them to other friends and family. This was a great company to work with. A few tips: Dress in layers. The safari starts early and it will get warmer throughout the day. Water is provided but having a little snack is helpful. Have a good pair of binoculars or ask to borrow some from your tour coordinator. Wear comfortable shoes that you can slip in and out of. That way you can take them off and stand in the seat for a better view (if, you’re short like me and can’t see out of the open roof).
We did a 4 day safari through Serengeti, Ngorogoro, and Maynara with Muro as our guide. It was an absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience as the organization was very well, Muro really paid attention to what we liked most, explained super-well and is really nice to get along with. Even though the tour was great anyway, he made it even more special. Thanks again and hope to see you soon. Complete recommendation!
With no doubt the best experience of our lives. The best choice was doing the safari with this company. They were AMAZING and made the trip so special and exclusive. We enjoyed every single minute, from the very first moment to the last one. We wish they were in every country. Such a good experience, good care, good suggestions… everything. In a safari, the company you choose makes the difference. We would highly recommend this one.
Simply the best!!! Profesional staff and very good people We are very lucky to have them as our specialists in our Safari we specially thanks Jackson (the best) and Stephan for been always attentive with us!!!!
We had an amazing Safari with BestDay Safaris. They pay attention to every detail and the planning is 100% respected. The guide Joseph was amazing, very kind guy, had a sharp eye to spot animals, and explained everything about them. Also they are the cheapest we found on the market, while providing a great quality of service (lodges/camps/food were great). I recommand strongly you let them organize your Safari, you will not regret it.
The best experience of our lifes Me and my partner did a 4 day safari that included Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. We got to experience everything to the fullest, it was The perfect experience! Jackson, our driver was very experienced, kind and funny, we drove around 9 hours a day and he was always in a good mood, made jokes, explaining everything, answering all the questions we were doing. We learnt a lot with him, I will always remember this experience in my heart. In the safari itself we saw: zebras, gnus, lions, cheetahs, hienas, palas, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, etc. Seeing all those animals so close in their natural habitat it was just magical. For the first two nights we stayed in a camp in the middle of Serengeti. We absolutely loved everything, the nice staff, the amazing food and the unique experience of sleeping in a tent surrounded by animals. The third and last night we slept in a hotel which was very nice too. I recommend everyone to have an experience like this at least once in their lifes! A big thanks to the company and especially Jackson for everything he thought us. Definitely a experience to repeat in the future. Jessica and Pedro
Our entire experience with Best Day was amazing! From the beginning Peter was great with communication and completely accommodating towards our needs. Our guide, Joseph, was amazing! Very experienced and such a lovely person. He was really good at spotting the animals and telling us loads of interesting facts about them. The package we went for was perfect! We managed to see the big 5 and loads more! The accommodation included was also superb! Sleeping in the centre of the Serengeti is definitely one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. I would highly recommend this company! They are a local small company that go above and beyond to create the best experience for you and wow, what an experience they create!
This was hands down the best experience, I have ever had! Bestday Safaris were amazing! Picked up from the the airport by Freeman, a lovely, welcoming man! (Not part of the package but can be arranged by Bestday) Stephen was ready to meet us at the first hotel to brief us on the days ahead. Again a very friendly, helpful man! Then began our safari with one of the most amazing guides and people I have met! Joseph! What a legend! His eye for spotting animals was other worldly! He could spot a Lion on a rock from a mile away! My untrained eye had no idea how it was possible! His knowledge on the animals and landscape was second to none! We learnt sooo much about the animals and how they have evolved to adapt and survive! The days we spent with Joseph were amazing! He was so easy to talk to and learn from whether that was the nature or if you wish to learn some Swahili! He was extremely helpful and intelligent! I would recommend Bestday Safaris to absolutely everyone who wishes to go on this or any other excursion! Amazing experience!!!
Great experience. Our guide Joseph was excellent- he is smart, patient and always willing to help. Serengeti lodges were clean, the food was great. Bestday Safaris is a Tanzanian company, so book with them and support local economy!
I organize a for day safari with Peter from Bestday safaris. I arranged for all private because there are not many travellers due to Corona. Peter, the manager, understand and was very helpfull to make the private trip hapening without many extra costs. Organise direct with them in stead of a big travelcompany at home. the money will go strait to Afrika and they need it now. Just email info@bestdaysafaris.com and you get a much better deal. The safari to Serengeti and other parcs was great and my driver Julius was nice did know everything. His single purpose was to let me enjoy. everything was taken care of. He was so nice. I travel around the world. I know how its works. But with this company you get what you want and paid for. I even took another trip in the south with this company. If a go back again I will certainly arrange it with Peter. Peter found out for me that I ccould do a fastcheck Covid at the airport. He will help you even when it has nothing to do with the safari.
We highly recommend Best Day Safari company. Peter handled our itinerary with such ease and professionalism. He responded promptly to every email. He was thorough in all the details. He met us at the safari lodge to greet us and go over our itinerary. He was also there to greet us when we returned making sure we were fully satisfied. Joseph, our guide was amazing! He was so knowledgeable about all the animals and everything about the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. He was great at spotting animals. We saw the Big Five and more!! He was the best driver handling the bumpy roads well. We felt like we had the best experience with Joseph as our guide. We highly recommend Best Day Safari as they exceeded our expectations!!
I did a tour over Thanksgiving (United States) weekend, it was a public tour, but since I was one of the few people traveling during COVID, I got a guide, truck, and four day safari all to my self. My guide, Jackson, is easily the best guide in all of Tanzania, not just because he's a complete veteran and knows where the animals are (I met a girl at the Ngorongoro gate who had a safari the same time and days I did, she had seen five elephants in total, we had seen around 150+ elephants but also 40+ lions, five rhinos, two leopards, three cheetahs, and more heard animals than you could conceivably count), because he tours so much but also because the man can spot a rhino at five kilometers (even with binoculars I thought it was a moving bush). This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and I would use these guys again for anything out of Arusha or in the area.
I didn’t have any expectation besides the photos I’ve seen on the internet, however Jackson the amazing guide was so kind and am wonderful and made a dream out of it! Everyday he will try his best to find the best areas so that we could see the animals, we got to see everything because he took the time to show it to us. I recommend this company 100% every shuttle trip was always on time, everything was perfectly timed
We did a 4 day safari and couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience. All of our arrangements went off without a hitch but it was our guide Jackson that truly made the experience unforgettable. Knowledgeable, patient, and a great guy with a great story- he made the trip for us and we got to see all of the major species because of him. Couldn't recommend enough!
We had the most amazing 4 day safari trip with Best Day Safaris. During this trip we spent three days in Serengeti and one day in the Ngorongoro crater. The safari tour was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before, to get close to the animals and get to know so much about the wildlife was truly amazing. Our guide Jackson were quickly able to spot all the animals and he really knew how to find the best locations for seeing lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes and Leopards. We even got to see the rare black rhino during our safari trip!! Visiting Serengeti during the migration period was also something extra. Zebras and wildebeests as far as the eye could see. Jackson also told us everything about the wildlife and animals as well as the Masai way of living and the Tanzanian history. He is really interested and gives the information in a way that you will never forget. I can really recommend him as a safari guide! The places we stayed at, Tukaone Camp and Eileen Tree in showed great hospitality and gave really good service. Tukaone camp is located in the Serengeti National Park and it was such a great experience living in the Tented Lodge and being able to hear the birds and the wildlife during the night, it really gave the adventurous authentic feel. Dinner were served with some different dishes and the food were very good. This trip have been one of my most appreciated experiences and a can truly recommend Best Day Safaris to host your Safari tour!
Went on a 4-day safari together our very friendly and highly knowledgeable guide Jackson who has worked many years in the field. The whole trip was a truly amazing experience and we learned so much about the animals, the nature and the Tanzanian way of life :) Still in awe even after the whole experience. Jackson could spot animals hundreds of meters away and we managed to see the Big Five and so much more! Lion cubs, a group of male lions, hippos, crocodiles, cheetahs and leopards up close, elephants as well as the migration of wildebeest, buffalos and zebras. Best Day Safari felt like a unique and authentic experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone going on safari in Tanzania and especially Jackson!
I booked the 4-day Small Group to Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater. The booking process was easy and all my questions were answered. The driver, Julius, was very nice. He ensured we had enough water, communicated with the other drivers to find out where the animals were, ensured the truck was in a good position to take photos and that generally everyone was okay. We were extremely lucky with the animals we saw; I think even Julius was surprised how lucky we were. Overall the accommodation was excellent, especially the camp in the Serengeti. The food was delicious and plentiful, though there is a restrictive choice. Two issues stops the rating from being Excellent is that the trip includes a free hotel stay in Arusha at the beginning or at the end of the trip. The hotel I stayed in was basic, though for the rest of the tour the accommodation was excellent. The other people on the tour booked their accommodation independently and it wasn't great. I think that generally accommodation in Arusha isn't a high standard. The second issue was I had requested for a pick-up from the airport to the hotel, as part of my booking. It was not until the last day of my tour, in the middle of a game drive, I was told that I had to pay an additional US$90 for the pick-up/drop-off at the airport. Though, it was cheaper than arranging a taxi, I did not appreciate finding out on my last day, on a game drive, that there was still a significant payment to be made. There is no mention in the Price Excludes list of the airport pick-up/drop-off; my tour in Uganda picked me up and dropped me off at the airport at no additional cost.
Hello, we booked with Best Days Safaris and everything was as good as expected. Our guide tour (Joseff) was super professional and nice along all the safari. They also arranged all the transfers from and to the airport. 100% recommended company. Best regards :D Rubén.
We booked a 4 day tour (2 days Serengeti, one in n’gorogoro and one day in Arusha national park) and had an absolute amazing experience! We got a private Jeep (7 seats, we’re 4...so loats of space) and told the owner Peter that we were not interested in tourist-stops (such as gift shops etc) but much rather prefere a “real” experience of the local culture, people and places. Louis, the driver, was super polite and knowledgeable about the area and kind enough to also drive into rural villages with us (not the touristic places that some of these tours normally visit) on the way to the Serengeti. We stayed at the Tukaone Serengeti Camp which provided absolute luxurious tents and tasty food. Louis somehow always managed to be in the right place at the right time, findig the animals long before other jeeps arrived (which was a big deal as we travelled in wet seasons with quite a few jeeps looking for animals). Overall great experience and will definitely use BestDay Safari again when we visit again during dry season next time. 10/10
I just completed a 4 day safari with Best Day, and can't say enough about how much I enjoyed the experience. Peter runs an amazing team of individuals who go out of their way to make your experience exceptional. I live in the USA and have no contacts in TZ, and went solely off reviews. That can be a scary proposition, but Best Day is THE REAL DEAL. Tremendous value, but not a value-based exclusion. Everything is of good quality; accommodations, staff, food (although be weary of some of the box lunch items that lack refrigeration). AND if you can get him, as for Jackson. This man got us on two leopards, 12 rhinos, and countless lions, cheetahs, hippos, etc.
I did a 3 night, 4 day “mid range” safari of the Serengeti (3 days) and Ngorongoro Crater (1 day). Communication prior to travel was excellent. The tour included a first or last night at the Crest Safari Lodge in Arusha (very good - see separate review). There ended up being just another couple and myself on our tour along with our driver “Six”. It appears most tour operators follow a fairly standard itinerary so the only real difference is the driver. Our driver had a long history of guiding/driving and was very adept at seeking out the different animals. In particular he suggested we spend a day in the Western area of the Serengeti away from the central area which teemed with cars. This proved a good suggestion as we were mainly on our own off the beaten track and our driver was able to stray from the designated tracks to get us up close with the wildlife which was far less possible in the more crowded areas. The animals themselves are amazing - I had imagined we would be spending all of our time with binoculars but the wildlife was everywhere and you get up real close. If you are weighing up whether to do a safari (as I was, my prime objective being to climb Kilimanjaro), this is something not to be missed. In the Serengeti we stayed at Tokaone Tented Camp for 2 nights which was excellent (see separate review), followed by a night at Octagon Lodge prior to visiting the crater which was ok (see separate review). On our first day there was an issue with our vehicle, this was dealt with efficiently and without disruption to our itinerary - true testing a good operator, seeing how they deal with issues and Bestday came through with flying colours. Overall I was very pleased that I chose Best Day Safaris I think they did a great job. In relation to safaris in the area in general, my personal experience is as follows: - Serengeti was far better than the crater - check to see if your driver will take you to more remote parts of the Serengeti avoiding or reducing the time in the more crowded “central” area - there’s a lot of time in vehicles - we did 1,200km in 4 days - it’s worth splashing out for the luxury tented camps like Tukaone - although the cost seems high when you are considering it, when you actually stay there you really appreciate the effort that goes into making these places luxury in the middle of nowhere - everyone gets a window seat (at least that’s what it looked like on the tours I saw, but worth checking beforehand) - there are some big bus tours operating, if that’s all you can afford then you have little choice, but the more personalised 8 seater vehicles were able to get up much closer and tailor itineraries for passengers
I don't even know where to start! The trip was 10/10 and I look forward to using their service again in the future. Peter on the booking side was very helpful and responsive. He got me hooked up with the right safari and at a great price. I opted to pay in cash upon arrival and he was there to greet me and the other travelers before we departed into the Serengeti. Peter and his whole team are very professional and calmed any reservations I had due to it still being my first 24 hours in Africa. You don't have to take my advice as I'm just some stranger on TripAdvisor, but in the future I will opt to pay the full amount via secure credit card portal before arrival rather than carry a large sum of money on me during my travels - but once again this time I was overly cautious as I usually am and wanted to make sure I wasn't getting ripped off. Next, and perhaps most importantly, our driver Joseph. The man is so knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. He knew the answer to every question we had and some we didn't even know we had. I was baffled by his amazing eye - he spotted a leopard's tail hanging from a tree 100+ yards away! and a Rhino clear across the Ngorongoro crater floor that I would have mistaken for a spot on my cornea. A great dinner guest (due to his many stories) on top of a great safari guide. If you're lucky enough to get him, make sure to tip the man well! The car (an early 2000's land cruiser) was just about what I expected from a Serengeti safari. It was most importantly a very reliable steed and not once did we face any mechanical issues, which is much better than some of the other stories I've heard people have had to face on their safaris. The vehicle was a bit older and dusty no doubt, but this honestly made it feel like a ~real~ safari. You may be able to book other companies with wifi on board their cars and maybe some other premium services - but that's not what I was looking for in a safari and I was quite happy to be able to unplug from society and just focus on some great animal viewing. The car did have electrical plugs to help keep all your cameras and whatnot charged. The camps we had stayed at also exceeded expectations. I am in my early/mid 20's and may not know the true meaning of 'luxury' - but once again these seemed very fitting if not more than what I was expecting in the middle of the Serengeti. The plumbing was great (something to not under-value), showers were warm, food was good, and staff were all very friendly. As the game drives went so well and we essentially saw every animal to see in the first three days, Joseph offered to set up a village tour and local experience for us (at no additional cost) rather than spend another day looking at all the animals we had already seen. Our group unanimously elected to go with this option and spent our last day touring a village outside Ngorongoro crater. It was a worthwhile cultural experience and I got a lot of great pictures, stories, and experiences out of the excursion.
Bestday Safaris LTD accompanied us through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Caldera between 28 July and 1 August 2023. Our experience was wonderful, our daughter had a blast. We had a driver/guide who spoke Swaili and English (Joseph) and a guide who spoke Italian (Bonifaci known as Boni). They both went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and smooth, they were very discreet and helpful. The locations were always of the expected level both for the tented camps in the Serengeti and for the lodge in Karatu. We really appreciated Joseph's respect for the rules within the park, his attention to the animals and his comfortable and safe driving for us. Both were always very attentive to our needs, making us feel pampered. Thanks to Stephan for organizing! We highly recommend Bestday Safaris for your excursions in Tanzania.
team at the top from the first contact via WhatsApp with the manager Peter tailor-made services excellent value for money no propensity to charge excessively we wanted to start the safari from seronera airport to avoid a long transfer from arusha with 3 children First class Dullah driver guide picked us up on landing very competent and available on the 4 days safari from the first morning we witnessed a hunting scene of a cheetah mother with her two young who grabbed before our eyes a Thompson gazelle We saw the big 5 after 24 hours and big 9 24 hours later. accommodation was of high quality with very available and responsive teams meals on site were all excellent small downside the quality and quantity of lunch box on 2 days on serengeti but independent of bestdays safaris we particularly appreciated Peter's high class: the flights were arranged by him without any commission and the transfer from our hotel back from safari to the airport for our departure to Zanzibar was offered free (value of 50 dollars) finally we appreciated having recourse to a Tanzanian company run by a local what more to say: perfect services!
