Special compliment to our guide/driver - Joseph who has delivered a great service throughout the whole journey.

Itinerary
Day 1
1
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire NP to enjoy full-day game drive with picnic lunch. The park consists of natural vegetation mainly of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania's dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals - the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings.
Day 2
2
After breakfast, we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa - the Serengeti National Park - with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti's species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.
Day 3
3
Enjoy early breakfast and have a morning game drive. In the afternoon, we depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area with game drive en route.
Day 4
4
After breakfast, you descend into the crater and enjoy full-day game drive there. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor. Late afternoon you will drive back to Arusha.

We had the best safari ever and thanks too our driver Joseph who made it even more amazing. He was friendly, easy to get along with, and really knew his stuff. One of the highlights was when he spotted a leopard up in a tree that we would have completely missed Thanks to Joseph, we saw so much wildlife we seen them all, The big 9, The ugly 5 & lots of birds. Every day brought something new, and Joseph always seemed to know the best spots to be in at just the right time. The whole trip felt relaxed and well organised. Joseph always made sure we were comfortable, never rushed (pole pole) and his knowledge of the animals and the park made everything so much more interesting. The car was spotless and comfortable too, which made the long drives a breeze. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better guide. If you’re planning a safari, definitely ask for Joseph. Asante sana best day safaris
The safari tour with bestday safari exceeded all our expectations (especially the Great Migration) - thanks to our incredible guide Jackson and the flawless preparation and support by Xenia. From start to finish, this was an unforgettable adventure! Our guide Jackson was exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about wildlife, ecosystems, and local culture with such passion that every moment was both educational and thrilling. Not only was he an expert tracker (spotting animals we would have missed entirely!), but he was also eager to fulfill all our wishes and always ensured a pleasant atmosphere with his great sense of humor. Xenia's support and preparation were impeccable—from the smooth booking process to the well-planned itinerary. We enjoyed the delicious meals, and comfortable accommodations. The team thought of everything, ensuring our safety, comfort, and enjoyment at every step. I highly recommend the team of bestday safari. Thank you sincerely, Xenia and Jackson, for a once-in-a-lifetime experience 🙏
We had an unforgettable 4-day safari with Best Day Safaris! The highlight: witnessing the Great Migration in Serengeti – truly breathtaking. Our tented lodge was luxurious and surrounded by wildlife, with delicious food throughout. A huge thank you to Jackson, our incredible guide – knowledgeable, funny, and always one step ahead. He made the trip unforgettable! Also, special thanks to Xenia for her outstanding support during planning. She answered all our questions patiently and thoroughly. We also had a personal welcome and detailed briefing in Arusha before the safari – very professional. Everything was perfectly organized. Highly recommended – especially with Jackson and Xenia on your side!
From the initial booking, advice and guidance, Peter and his team were excellent. On arriving at Arusha, and being transported to the Tulia hotel (recommended), everything went smoothly. We then were collected by our guide, Immanuel the following day, for the next four days he guided us, informed us, looked out for us and provided great company. Our last stop at Eileen’s tree tops was a welcome rest before we left Tanzania. Highly recommend…. And if you can get Immanuel as a guide then 👍
Safari was an amazing experience. We had a driver and a guide with Spanish knowledge all the safari because my parents do not speak English. They were really helpful and friendly, giving us tips and always trying to find the best for us in the safari, looking for different/not common spots and going the extra mile. Furthermore our driver was an skilful mechanic and helped the other cars when they had mechanical problems. An amazing experience with the best guides.
What a wonderful company! I had many questions, and Peter was so helpful in making sure I had all the information I needed. He always responded quickly to me. In addition to the safari, he helped us arrange a hotel and transportation prior to the safari as well. Our guide, Six, was so informative about the wildlife, and so talented at getting us to see every animal we hoped for. Our accommodations and food were perfect, and we felt very well taken care of. We chose the mid range safari, and it was perfect. All the lodges had private bathrooms, comfortable beds, and great food. We travelled with my husband's parents and our two kids, (15 and 7), and Six made sure all of us were comfortable and involved. We even told him about a specific souvenir my son wanted, and he helped us find it. You could research safaris for a month, there are so many options, or you could hand it all over to Peter and let him make your trip perfect!
We simply had an awesome time on this 4- day camping safari! Joseph, our driver-guide, is a very pleasant man who made our trip comfortable and eventful. He shared lots of interesting facts about the wildlife, the nature, as well as Tanzanian culture and indigenous tribes. He seemed to know the best areas to spot the big 9 (and more) and tried to accommodate our personal wishes throughout the tour. At the same time, he is extremely respectful of the nature and the wild animals. We highly recommend going on Safari with Joseph, he will make your time especially memorable! The food was also great. We have been on many short trips and hikes in Tanzania and beyond and this was simply the best. Thanks to the cook, Eduardo! We also recommend the camping tour as the campings spots are right in the middle of the national parks and you will never sleeps closer to wild animals again in your life. Overall the tour was well organized and everything worked out as we wished for, although, at times, the communication with the office was a bit complicated. Nonetheless, Bestdays Safari is a great (local !!) tour operator that we highly recommend to everyone!
We were so lucky in that we got to see all the big 9 before day 3 was out. In different locations and settings. Each Park has its own beauty and draws you in uniquely. Our driver, Joseph, was the loveliest man. It was a pleasure to spend 4 days in his company. He is so knowledgeable about the animals, their habits, habitats and actually locations within the parks. We’re glad he was our guide. A good driver too - which helps! The accommodation chosen by Best Day Safaris is good too. You’re in a Lodge 2 nights and Glamping in the heart of the Serengeti for the middle night. The food is good, and the packed lunch provided is plentiful.
It was an awesome safari with a fantastic team. They are fun and have a lot of experience. Our guide Kabila (Spanish) knew the history and details of all the animals and places, not forgetting Six (the best driver) who knows every corner of the 3 parks we visited (Tanrangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro). The lodges were really TOP, from Eileen's Lodge to the tent in the middle of the jungle (Tukaone). The joy of our team was always accompanied by the "Tanzanian" songs inside the jeep. The only suggestion for improvement is to improve the box's that took them to lunch a little, like other safari companies. We feel at ease with them! I highly recommend it. BEST DAYS WITH BEST GUYS ❤️🇹🇿
We had a really great time. Everything was 100% professional. Before we arrived Peter answered all our questions and helped us to prepare. During the Safari, our guide and driver "Six" took care of us. Not only he showed us great places and amazing animals but also told a lot about Tanzania in general. His friend chef cooked every day and I have to say we were impressed by the quality of food. Even after the safari they helped us when our flight from Arusha was cancelled. I fully recommend this company.
We had truly memorable days in Serengeti, Ngorongo and Tarangire, thanks to our kind guide Jackson. He has great knowledge about all the parks, the animals and moreover the culture, which he likes to share with the clients. The camp sites were located inside of the parks, which was perfect for morning game drives. Another highlight besides the awesome parks and their animals were the tasty meals, prepared by Emmanuel. I would defentily recommend this tour together with those friendly persons.
Very reliable tour operator, delivered what was promised including smooth logistics. The safari was a great success, not only did we see the big 5 but also very special scenes of animals including breastfeeding lions in the morning, cheetah chasing and catching pray, etc. Our guide/driver Jackson was very experienced and cool guy, he really knows the safari guiding insights which was an advantage to make the most of our safari experience. We also had an amazing chef Manuel who cooked delicious food during the excursion.
We did the 4-day budget safari covering Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. It was an unforgettable experience and we were very lucky to have Jackson as our driver/guide. Apart from being a master at spotting animals from afar, he is a very knowledgeable and pleasant person, and we much enjoyed his company and the stories he shared with us. We saw the big 5, and we managed to see a hunting cheetah and a leopard having his ‘lunch’ on the tree. The most special for me was observing breastfeeding lionesses and baby lions playing in Serengeti early morning. Also huge thanks to our chef Manuel who every day was preparing us very delicious food! Thank you, Jackson, Manual, and Bestday Safari for making our trip exceptional.
This was a life long dream of mine, and Best Day did not disappoint , Peter, David ,Jackson and the other team members took great care of this older man" lol. I will be forever Thankful for everything you all did for me and I hope we meet again some day.
Me and my friend (2 girls) went on a Safari with Bestday which we booked with a tour operator and had a good time with them. We felt safe and we were able to see so many animlas upfront. We were there in August and some nights get really cold so pls take some extra blankets with you for sure! Overall the experience was great
We have a great time in the Safari, very luck with a lot of animal and sour guide Dula was very good driver and guide. No complains about. Thanks for the amazing time!
We had the most amazing experience with Bestday Safaris. We had the luck to have Julius as our driver/guide. He knew all the best spots to enjoy what nature was unveiling to us. And thought us so much about the wildlife in Tanzania. In Tarangire National park we had a very special location for having lunch with an exceptional view. While other guides were taking their clients to public picnic areas, Julius made sure that we had our own unique and private lunch place. Serengeti National park was exceptional as expected. We had an amazing sunrise game drive followed by a delicious brunch prepared by our chef Emmanuel. After spending two days in Serengeti we thought that we had seen it all. But boy we were so wrong. Our campsite in Ngorongoro National park gave us a nightly suprise. Soon after we went to sleep buffalos filled the campsite. We could hear them eating grass just two metres from our tent. It definitely was experience of a lifetime. Day four was as icing on a cake. Early morning game drive into the Ngorongoro Crater with unforgettable views and a very special experience seeing female and male lions having breakfast and protecting their game from hyenas and jackals. To top it all off we saw not one but two rhinos having a stroll in the vast greens of the crater. We would like to thank Julius for keeping us safe and showing us all the beauty of Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro; Emmanuel for the amazing meals and sharing with his secret soup recipe. And also big thanks to everyone at Bestday Safaris for marking this happen. This was an unforgettable honeymoon. Asante Sana!
My partner and I came on this safari for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time! Our guide and driver, David, was so knowledgeable about all the wildlife and looked after our five-person group exceptionally well. Emanuel, our chef for the trip, prepared delicious meals for us and catered for everyone's individual needs (I'm vegetarian). Highlights have to be seeing lions and leopards in the Serengeti and the view from our descent into the Ngorogoro Crater. Highly recommend!
Couldn't have picked better option to spend new year's eve than doing a safari with one of a kind bestday safari team David and the great chef Emanuel! Such nice and wonderful people - always checking if we were good, ensuring our best experience possible, to see the lions as close as possible without disturbing the animal's wild life. Also Emanuel was very thoughtful considering my gfs vegetarian diet and also that we had enough food to spend the whole day on this great adventure. Peter was also very kind with us - there was a misunderstanding and Peter was wonderful sorting it out so we really couldnt have asked for more. We can only recommend these guys, this team - they are really the best. Hakuna matata asante sana!!!
This has been an unforgettable experience, I never thought I would be seeing in real life what I have been watching on the documentaries for years. From the beginning Best Day Safari were the tour group we liked the best, this was our first African Safari therefore had to do months of research to find the best tour company. In the end we chose best day safari as they had the best communication, Peter helped me plan the best safari, he put my mind at ease whenever I had a concern or worry. He answered the million questions I had, he would reply back instantly, thank you Peter. We chose the 3 best parks, we done 4 days and saw all the animals the third day in Serengeti we started early morning and that day was literally the best day ever, we saw so many herds of elephants and pride of Lions and many more, def morning safari is the best, as we stayed in the Serengeti over night we were able to start early morning. The stay in the tent was a luxury stay, tukaone, more comfortable then a hotel, what an experience to live in the wild. We had a great tour guide, very patient. Every accommodation was top class, Octagon lodge and tukaone camp, the service, the people, food were 5*. So hospitable. The food was delicious, so much food too and a lot of choices, trust me you won't be craving for any food because they have everything. The toilets in the national parks are so clean. Choose this tour company, they are literally the best. Thank you best day safari for the best adventure of our life. Side note pay the company before you go there, it will save you a lot of time unless you have the cash in hand, do not waste your time trying to find a bank to withdraw or exchange money it is a waste of time.
I couldn't have been happier with our driver David and our Chief Philip! They were both extremely professional and fun to be with during our excursion. David has 12+ years of experience working in the Safari and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the animals and navigating the parks. I come from New York and have the Bronx Zoo neighboring where I live, but the experience is completely different when seeing them in person, and having an amazing guide to share that experience with you Philip and his meals were on great during the Safari. I thought the meals were going to be camp like, but they were delicious and even made Ugali for us during one of the lunches. Even though many of us in our group of 5 went for seconds, there was always left overs, so no worries about being hungry after your meals. He always made sure we had enough coffee, tea, butter, and condiments before our meals, which is great especially since everyone dives in for the coffee in the morning! I would definitely book with them again and hope to see them in the future when I bring family members into Africa. Thanks again for a great time you two!
I have booked my safari with Bestday Safaris after the recommendation from my friend. It was the best experience i have had in Africa! From the beginning i had great communication with Managing Director-Peter. And i am really very picky so i would be sending lots of emails asking for one million details. Peter was very professional and always answered every my question. Company has a big office inside the city centre and it was also very easy to pop in and ask for more details a prior to my safari. I have to say that i more than happy with our driver - David, for whom the work is not only a job to make a living but also a great passion. He does it since last 20 years and he studied tourism and wildlife and he was able to answer all of our questions about the animals we spotted on our way. He went an extra mile to show us as much as he could, we saw so many animals and i learnt a lot about their natural environment and their habits. Because he really likes his job we haven't felt that we are missing something. Special thanks for our chef Emanuel who did his best of preparing some delicious dishes, he would make pasta stews, delicious fish, soups, salads and even in less convenient scenery as we stayed in camping. All the food was yummy and fresh and best i had while in Tanzania. After 4 days safari (Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serenegeti) my whole memory card is full because of not enough space for photos! We enjoyed so much! (we were 3people in total). Thank you so much and i will defo recommended it to all fellow travellers. Also i look forward to come back and book safari with them too.
What can I say? Everything ran so smoothly, it just couldn't have gone better. Our guide Jackson was incredible, he made us feel so comfortable and safe. His knowledge was amazing, he predicted the animal's movements and behaviour in advance, always keeping us safe, My boyfriend and I had a trip of a lifetime and can't thank Jackson enough. Peter was very helpful when I was booking the safari, answering questions via email promptly, it was lovely to meet him at the beginning and end of our trip too. Thanks for a fantastic experience.
What can I say?...Amazing experience!!! Best Day Safari are very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. And I can clearly see now why their reviews are so good. The safari was absolutely amazing! We got very close to the animals and we saw so many animals. Our safari guide was Jackson, he was absolutely brilliant! He could spot an animal from 10km away without using any binoculars. I will highly recommend Jackson as a guide as well as Best Day Safari to anyone who would like to have an amazing safari experience! It exceeded my expectations on so many levels.
My friend and I booked a 5 days safari with Bestday, and we had an absolutely great experience. Our driver and guide David knew everything about all the animals and plants, and he was especially good at finding the rare animals hiding around in the savanna. Also, our cook Phillip did a really great job - especially when he did a barbeque for us on the last night.
We really had an amazing experience with Bestday Safaris, from the planning of our trip to the actual Safari. Peter has always replied very quickly to our emails, giving us all the information and details we needed. On our arrival in Arusha, he came to our hotel to brief us on the next days, with friendly and professional attitude. During the Safari we were accompanied by Frank, an excellent guide who knows a lot about wildlife. He made our safari really special, thanks to his knowledge and kindness. We managed to see a lot of animals in very special situations (hunting, mating, cuddling etc) without disturbing them. We appreciated a lot Frank's respect for the animals. The Octagon lodge and Tucaone camp were excellent accommodations, with friendly staff and yummy food. Thanks Bestday Safaris for this incredible experience!
I have been travelling in Tanzania in August along with my girlfriend and another 2 friends. We contacted BestDay Safari to plan a 4 day Safai in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Among the many companies that organize Safari we chose BestDay Safari because of the nice reviews we checked on tripadvisor and aslo because they offered us the better quote. Everything has been organized by e-mail with Peter, the BestDay Safari managing director. Peter was really helpful in answering all our questions as well as planning a very good trip. Safari itself was really really amazing and most of our satisfaction should be attributed to Frank, our Masai guide, who really made the trip enjoyable. Frank has been telling us about Tanzania history and culture but what it really made the difference was its ability to spot hidden animals in the parks, a skill that allowed us to basically see all the Tanazia wild animals included the smallest one. Overnights during the safari were in really nice lodges but the night spent in the Serengeti was in a really amazing tented camp (Tukaone Serengeti camp) which is right in the park and allow you to listen to all the animal sounds. Definitely, I would recommend BestDay Safari to everybody as for us it was an unforgettable experience!
Amazing safari in Tanzania. We could see a lot of animals spending one day in Tarangire, 2 days in Serengeti, 1 Nrongoro crater and 1 Lake Manyara. We could also visit a Masai village. Thank you so much Jackson, it has been incredible.
we did 4 days and 3 nights of Safari in August. we had a great time both with the guide David (very kind and very helpful to any need, we highly recommend him to all those who chose this agency) both with chef Emanuel (excellent cook and who was able to excellently satisfy even the requests of people vegetarian). it was a wonderful journey where we were able to see so many animals and really feel part of nature. it is an experience that I advise everyone to do especially for the excellent value for money. Akunamatata
I am not usually one for writing reviews but credit given we’re credit is due. From start to finish it was one of the greatest and most memorable experiences of my life. Our tour guide Jackson was the nicest and most knowledgeable person I’ve ever met. He was always on time, always happy and chatty, It felt like a close friend was giving the tour, He also has the vision of a hawk and can spot any animal from an inhumane distance, can tell you anything and everything about every animal you see and always had our safety in mind. The man, the legend....Jackson! Great company, incredible service and experience.
Amazing experience. The 4 day group safari exceeded my expectations. While apparently “mid-level” the whole group was impressed by the accommodations. We saw the Big 9. Jospeh, our driver/guide, was the key to our success. He was knowledgeable and friendly. 10/10 would recommend.
I recently went on a 4-day group safari with Joseph. He was an absolutely amazing tour guide and the trip was spectacular! I will recommend this to all of my friends and family. Joseph did a great job on finding the rare animals for us and was very responsive to our requests. This is a must-do activity when traveling to Tanzania!
We have just had a six day memorable safari with our driver Joseph, who was not just an an incredible source of knowledge, but he was also so friendly, kind and patient with us, he managed to show us all the animals that we wanted to see and did all he could to satisfy everyone who was on the tour. We went to Tarangire national park, the Serengeti where we saw over 60 lions in two game rides and also leopard and two cheetahs sitting and hunting an impala, and then to Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara - we saw so many animals and birds that I cannot list them, but we were astonished by the number of lions we saw in the time we were with Joseph, in total around 80 lions including 8 cubs, some of them brushing by our vehicle. We also saw a beautiful serval cat and cub, which were so beautiful and we were lucky enough to be the only car that was close to them !!! The organization was excellent, and all of the lodges and tented camps were of an exceptional standard, Mr Peter was very prompt and informative, and the prices were far better than other companies with which I enquired. I highly recommend this company for a safari, and they will tailor the trip to your own personal requirements. For me, the most satisfying was the Serengeti as we saw so many lions and other cats, but the whole trip was fantastic, Thank you Peter and Joseph. We wish you well, Ashante !
After researching a lot of the companies for our Tanzanian safari I am so happy to say we chose Bestday. Peter came back to me with all the details and prices and was so helpful with any questions. This trip was for me and my sister (in our late twenties) and our mother who is 60. Bestday made sure we had the trip of a lifetime, it was PERFECT! The people can really make or break an intense trip like this so we were so so lucky with our driver and guide , Dullah. He was AMAZING! So intelligent and thoughtful and knowledgeable of the parks. We spent a day in Tarangire park, we were blown away! Elephants and giraffes so close to us. We stayed mid range in Octagon lodge and it was truly wonderful. Some of the best vegetarian food we have ever had. We then spent 2 nights in the Serengeti, if you are going on safari you HAVE to go to this park. Absolutely magical, saw all the big cats, lions, cheetahs and even leopards. We stayed in an amazing camp called Tukone, it was unbelievable to sleep and wake up in the Serengeti. Last day we drove down to Ngorogoro crater where we witnessed death – a lion killed a zebra and life – a gazelle giving birth. You will feel like you are dreaming . The trip was perfect, all the staff, all the food, the jeep, it was all perfect. I cannot recommend Bestday enough, if you are reading this before you go on safari I will just say lucky you! Asante sana Peter and Bestday.
We did the four day safari to tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. It was a brilliant trip with guide Tumaihi, who knew everything about any animal and spotted all animals for us, and with cook/chef Costa who made us very tasty and healthy lunches and dinners! They were both really kind and helpful. The tents, sleeping bags and sleeping mats are included. We would definetely recommend best days safaris based on our experiences. Gr. Emma and Mats
As our family vacation planner, I chose BestDay Safaris out of all of the companies I could find online for a 6-day private group camping safari (family of 5 adults and young adults) because of good reviews online, and prompt and professional replies from Peter Charles, owner of BestDay. Absolutely no regrets. This was our first safari trip and our first visit to East Africa. Peter patiently responded to all of our questions and requests in advance of the safari, and was trustworthy and reliable in all transactions. Upon our arrival in Arusha, we stayed at Crest Safari Lodge, which had been reserved for us by Peter for the night before the safari and turned out to have comfortable and clean rooms and a filling and healthful complimentary breakfast. The next morning, we were picked up by Jackson, our driver for the safari, who along with Emanuel, the chef assigned to our group, did an amazing job of taking us on game drives and keeping us fed, respectively, (including dietary restrictions and requirements) with healthful and appetizing meals throughout the week. We saw countless lions, several leopards and cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, hippos,... and were fortunate enough to spot a rhino in Ngorongoro which completed our quest for the Big 5. I can't recommend BestDay enough. We also took a day trip to Kilimanjaro a few days after the safari and were not disappointed; visiting Kilimanjaro with Thabit, our guide, who is also a mountain guide, was very interesting, and going into the Chaga caves was memorable and educational. Best vacation of our lives so far, and we travel a lot.
I was fortunate enough to be part of a group of 5 who took a 6-day wildlife safari adventure in which, on the first day, we travelled from Arusha to visit Tarangire National Park. Then on the second and third days, we took a tour of the Serengeti National Park before on the fourth day, travelling from the Serengeti back to Ngorongoro to overnight at Simba Public Camp. The fifth day saw us visiting the Ngorongoro crater and on the following day, it was Lake Manyara National Park before travelling back to Arusha. We also had an insightful visit to a Maasai village in between and overnighted at camping sites throughout. I wasn't the one who made all the arrangements but was kept in the loop and Peter (BestDay owner and contact person) was very helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. Throughout the six days, our guide was Jackson and chef, Emanuel and we felt that we could not have been treated to a more formidable team. Jackson is not only a highly personable, funny and extremely popular guy in general whose company we thoroughly enjoyed but an acutely knowledgeable and patient guide who answered all our keen questions in enormous detail. He also has a very keen eye for spotting animals well camouflaged in their natural habit which resulted in us seeing more species than we could ever have hoped to see and was even thoughtful enough to warn us in advance to be prepared for the relative cold of Ngorongoro. Emanuel the chef, is the consummate professional who takes his cooking very seriously indeed. Three of us in the group had strict, special dietary needs of various sorts (e.g. I am a vegan), and he went the extra mile to ensure all our culinary and nutritional needs were not only met but even exceeded while pampering our palates. We all thoroughly enjoyed his healthy and imaginative culinary creations. All in all, it was an excellent trip which was well worth what we paid, in fact exceeding all of our most lofty of expectations and seemed to end far too soon. A magnificent safari and social experience I'll always remember fondly and couldn't recommended any more highly. One I would repeat without any hesitation whatsoever.
We had a great time with our guides - Joseph and Jackson. They were very knowledgeable about the various animals and conservation projects in the area. They also were able to spot animals that we definitely would have missed. The camp the first night had an amazing view and a little hut for us to stay in. Sleeping in the serengeti was an experience of a lifetime. Our guides got us up extra early on serengeti day to see some amazing wildlife with a beautiful sunrise. The food was great and the chef was very accommodating. Overall, I would highly recommend best day safaris as a tour operator. I just wish we would have had enough time for a 5 day safari with an extra night in the serengeti since it was such an incredible part of the trip but further away than the other parks. Thanks again, Jackson and Joseph for making the trip so memorable.
Absolutely amazing four days cruising around with our guide David! We saw all of the animals we wanted to and more, he was very knowledgeable and made us feel safe and well looked after at all times. Costa also looked after us very well, providing many delicious meals for us to eat along the way. I would definitely recommend this safari as it was an excellent way to see a lot in a short space of time on a budget, asante san Best Day!
I went on 2 Safaris with Best Day. One was a private day-safari to Arusha National Park. The other was a 5-day budget safari (booked through Mojhi) including Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. On both safaris we had Joseph as driver/guide. He's super friendly, knowledgeable, very professional and we had a great time with him. Saw many animals! Good food and water included. The tents were good and durable, resisting a full rainy night with no problems. However, I would improve a bit the mattresses and sleeping bags (they looked a bit too used = maybe bring your own liner if you have). They were rented from Panorama campsite, though. It was my first-ever safari and i would definitely repeat. 100% recommended!
We did a five day safari in July (Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara) with Bestday Safari in a five people group and it was absolutely great. Everything from food to tent and transport was organized and the chef also considered my coeliac disease. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is visiting the "traditional" Masai village which is more a selling market than anything else. Apart from that we loved the safari and would definitely recommend Bestday Safari! Thanks again!
Bestday Safari recently organised a 5 day budget safari for us, a group of 8 to Lake Natron, Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro crater. Our guides Jackson and Jozef are top professionals. We didn't expect to see so much different animals but their experience and talent made it possible. In the evening the kitchen team served us some amazing food with a variety every day. I really recommend Bestday Safari for your safari trips in Tanzania!!!
We did a 4-day mid-range safari to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater in July 2019. From the start, when booking, Bestday differentiated itself from other companies because Peter was so helpful and responsive by email. Once we arrived, Peter continued to be wonderful, and even went above and beyond in helping me recover an item I had left behind at a hotel, telling me not to worry while I was on safari. Our guide, Jackson, was amazing and made our experience! Jackson was incredibly friendly, flexible, and knowledgeable -- his enthusiasm for the animals was contagious. He was familiar with spots where we could expect to see certain animals, and was also in contact with other guides whenever there was an especially exciting sighting. He was also very generous in sharing his thoughts and experiences with us. We're so grateful to have had him as a guide! We were very happy with our lodging -- after spending 6 nights camping on Kilimanjaro, Tukaone Tented Camp seemed like the height of luxury! The staff at both places we stayed were also very kind and welcoming. Tip: Be sure to bring a telephoto lens if you want great shots!
We did a 5-day 4-night mid range tour with Bestday through Tarangire National Park, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro crater for the first part of our honeymoon. This was both our first safari and our first trip to Africa. We had some flight delays with our incoming airline that made us start our safari a day late and Peter made adjustments for us to still take an almost identical 5-day safari without any hassle. TL;DR version of our review: Highly recommend this company. Peter Charles did a great job organizing, our drivers Felix and Joseph were friendly and knowledgeable, the accommodations were fantastic, and the food was great. Longer version: We arranged pickup at the Mt Kilimanjaro airport through Peter and we had a very nice driver who was easy to find outside of customs and then drove us straight to our pre-safari hotel, Crest Safari Lodge. It was clean and the food was good. In the morning off to Tarangire park with our driver Felix which had a stunning amount of elephants, lions, zebra, even a leopard butt hanging out of a tree. An hour with probably 15 elephants surrounding our truck and eating was such a magical experience. Then it was off to our first night at Octagon lodge, which we did a separate review for, but in short they had a great facility, incredible food, and the absolute nicest staff. They had our room done up with flowers for our honeymoon and we stayed again after the Serengeti and they had made a birthday cake for my birthday along with a fire in their "Irish bar" after dinner. Our 2 nights in the Serengeti at Tukaone Tented camp were more than we expected in the middle of the Serengeti. They had wifi, charging stations in the main tent, electricity, toilets, and running water in the individual tents/rooms. The food there was great. Joseph was able to find us a ton of animals including leopards, a couple families of lions, tons of elephants/zebras/wildebeest/water buffalo. Also spotted a black mamba and lots of smaller critters too. The view from Tukaone was also great. Our last day took us to Ngorongoro crater where on our way out of the crater we were able to spot the elusive black rhino. A driver took us back to Arusha where Peter checked in on us before getting us back to our hotel. We also arranged a driver with him to take us to KIA for our early morning flight. I can't recommend them enough. We certainly weren't roughing it as we thought we would. Everyone we met was so nice and welcoming. Asante Sana Peter, Felix, and especially Joseph! Joseph, if you read this I hope you get to travel to Zanzibar soon and eventually to Brazil! - Tyler and Sara
For many years I dreamed of doing a safari in the Serengeti and with the help of Bestday Safaris, my dream came true. I chose this company based on a recommendation from a friend and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I reached out to Peter via email and received a thorough response to all my questions. My entire experience was seamless and all the staff to include my guide, David, were very professional. I chose the 4-day safari that included 2 full days in the Serengeti and 1 day in Ngorongoro Crater. My guide, David, was very knowledgeable and made sure I had an amazing experience. I expressed to him how I wanted to witness the Great Migration. My timing was a bit off for that experience, but he drove me to a section of the Serengeti where I could witness a mini-migration of Wildebeest and that just really made my entire trip. I was beyond happy!!! On top of that, I saw all my favorite animals and learned more about their daily lives. I chose mid-range lodging for this experience and all the places were great with the tented camp, Tukaone, being my absolute favorite!!! All of the meals provided were delicious. I want to thank everyone at Bestday Safaris for making my dream come true.
My girlfriend and I just had a 6 Day/5 night safari, spending one day in tarangire, three days in the Serengeti, one day at Ngorongoro crater, and one day at Lake Manyara. We had originally planned a hiking day trek around Kilimanjaro but there was a bit of shuffling in the schedule and Peter asked us in the morning whether we could start our safari first and do the trek after. This was a minor inconvenience since we had to reschedule our hotel stay and pack our bags last minute but it became a blessing in disguise because we ended up with the best tour group and the best guide in Joseph! He was incredibly kind, attentive, knowledgable, and friendly. Any question we had he had an answer for, he was as determined as we were to see our favorite animals, was resourceful, and helped us have an incredible experience with all the animals, including spotting a rhino in the crater as we were leaving the park! By the end of the trip, our entire tour group, including Joseph, felt like family! In terms of lodging, we were very impressed. With the exception of a few shower temperature problems at Octagon, we couldn’t have asked for better accommodation, especially the tented lodge camping in the Serengeti. The staff were always incredibly nice and there were special arrangements made for a couple that was celebrating their honeymoon and a birthday. Our experience literally brought a tear to my girlfriend’s eyes. Thank you for the amazing safari! I highly recommend best day safari and especially recommend Joseph as a guide.
We booked with Bestday Safari for our Honeymoon at the beginning of June. Collected from Kilimanjaro airport by Bestday the night before the safari started and dropped off at a lodge. In the morning Peter was there to meet us and explained the itinerary for each day. Our safari was the 5 night/6 day mid-range safari covering Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater. Peter also explained that even though we'd booked and paid for a group safari it was likely that it would just be the two of us and our driver/guide for the duration of the trip. Our driver/guide was Mr Six and what a great man he was! His knowledge of the area, roads, animals, people etc. was incredible. I feel like we saw everything there was to see and this is all thanks to Mr Six. He seemed to know all the best places at each park to see all the animals and it always felt like we were one step ahead of all the other groups. He's also great company for enjoying lunch/dinner with. The accommodation each night was very nice. Octagon lodge is beautiful and the staff are very welcoming and friendly throughout. Tukaone Camp is exactly the same and is just beautiful. Both had comfortable double beds, flushing toilets, hot showers and were exceptionally cosy. The food at both places is incredible, i've never eaten as well in my life. Upon returning to Arusha we were met by Peter who wanted to make sure we had a good experience which was a nice touch. I'd strongly recommend Bestday Safari.
We (family of 4 adults from Bangalore, India) used Best Day Safaris for a 6-night safari tour covering Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire in June 2019. Our guide was Jackson, and he was absolutely wonderful. Friendly, cheerful, extremely knowledgeable and with an extraordinary eye for wildlife. At one point all we could see was grass, while Jackson was able to see and show us a serval cat. There were also a couple of occasions where the wildlife got close enough to make us nervous, and he was absolutely calm and said "just take pictures" :-), and by that time we had enough confidence in him to do just that. Incredible guy. Peter (Jackson's boss) also met us on the first and last day of our safari, to explain our program and to collect feedback. This was a nice touch, and Peter was a friendly guy as well. Our lodging was at Octagon Lodge (Karatu), Tukaone tented camp (Serengeti) and Rhino Lodge (Ngorongoro). Tukaone was awesome despite being a tented accommodation. The food was great, and the staff were attentive and provided great service. There were some restrictions like having to charge your devices only at the common area (no charging points in the tents), and not being allowed to walk by yourself after dark - but these rules make sense since we're after all in the middle of the Serengeti, and we had no complaints at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Rhino Lodge met our expectations - since there are many rooms, the buffet gets a little crowded at peak time, but otherwise a comfortable place to stay. The Octagon Lodge was mostly OK, barring some glitches with the hot water, which the staff were able to fix after we complained. Octagon also does not provide complimentary water in the rooms, which was a pain especially because you also need bottled water for rinsing after brushing your teeth. The bathroom design was a little ... let's say funky ..., with a clear glass window from the shower area looking out on to the outside - we just covered it with a towel :-) But the food at the Octagon made up for its other shortcomings - the chef even prepared us special food keeping our taste in mind. So overall a great place to stay. A double thumbs up to Best Day, and thanks to Jackson (and Peter and the rest of the staff) for helping us come back with memories that will no doubt last a life time.
We had 5 amazing days at 4 different places (tarrangire, Serengeti, ngorongoro and lake manyara) with our best guide and driver Dullah and our Chef cook Emanuel! Dullah was patiently and tried always to grant us the best game drives while Emmanuel conjured delicious meals to strengthen us. It was well organized and the camps were just amazing especially the one in serenoa. We thank best days safari for this memorable experience and we hope to come back some day in future!! You are just amazing guys! Chris and Sara
