3 Days Serengeti And Ngorongoro Midrange Group Safari

My friend and I did the 3-day group experience that combines the Serengeti with the Ngorongoro Crater. We had an unbelievable time. We were backpacking to Tanzania from Malawi and saw the price and thought it seemed excellent value for money which it really turned out to be! Our guide Rasta was brilliant company and very knowledgeable. You should be very happy if you get him! He always had our best interests in mind. Most of the group had said the lion was at the top of their list to see and it didn’t take Rasta long to find us Mufasa hiding behind a tree and then a pride of female lions shortly after. Following this, we were very lucky as we found all the incredible big 5 close up, as well as any other animal we would have hoped to see. Our chef Pius put together some very tasty meals and was a great addition to the group! We stayed in the campsites rather than the lodges which I would really recommend. For us, it was a big part of the experience having zebras walking around your tent at night, seeing the hyenas eyes as you go to the toilet, and having giraffes walking through the campsite metres away in the morning. You really felt in the middle of the park and slightly exposed which adds to the thrill of it - hearing the lions at night is quite something! The Serengeti and the Crater are absolutely stunning so if you can take your mind away from the animals (easier said than done) you can just be in awe of the views.

We had an amazing time on this Safari Jordan our guide was absolutely amazing, he ensured that we had the best time and saw all of the animals. It truly was a once in a life time experience we will never forget . And we will be back on the future and will definitely be requesting that Jordan is our guide. We had a great six-day wildlife adventure in the Serengeti with Suricata Safaris. Jeremy was, in our opinion, a great guide with solid wildlife knowledge, a warm demeanour, and dependable service. Additionally, he was adept at handling the sporadic car issues, which were crucial during an extended safari. The car was spotless, the food was excellent, and Suricata Boma Lodge provided tidy, cosy lodging. We valued the consideration given to both the practicality and the adventure. Our group of six was impressed by Jeremy and the team if you value an informed guide and excellent service.

The tour was incredible from start to finish! We stayed in amazing lodges, including one right in the middle of the savannah. We got to see all the major wildlife, and our guide, Golden, was a walking encyclopedia when it came to animals. He knew absolutely everything and made sure to explain every little detail to us throughout the tour. The food was spectacular as well! Thank you Golden! We would do the tour again for sure!

Wow just wow what an amazing safari we had. Simon our guide and driver. Was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Simons driving is outstanding. There are some lunatics out there. He always got us close to the animals. He took everything in his stride. Even when I sat on he floor going down and back up from the crater. I don't like heights and it's a normal thing for me. His knowledge about the animals is outstanding. We cannot thank Simon enough. Piusi and his team of chefs. Wow such outstanding food and drinks. I was on a 3 day safari that was an oranisational disaster. 1st day issue at Serengetti gate as company had put wrong vehicle number on permit. It took them 2hrs to put this right and pay for correct permit. This put us behind schedule, so instead of a leisurely drive looking for animals turned into whacky races to get to campsite before dark, which failed. Driver was late picking us up on both mornings, day 2 30 mins late, day 3 90 minutes late. Problems again when going through gates as wrong number of peopleon permit. Withinn 48rs, we spent 8-9 hrs on game drive, 6ish hours waiting at gates due to permit issues and 2hrs waiting for guide to pick us up. What did company say? Not their issue as permit was done late and the vehicle and drivers were hired not working directly for them. Total cop out as they took my money for safari. It was so bad, one of the group, who eas booked on a 6 day safari, cancelled the last 3 days even though he may lose his money.

We spent 3 days in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and honestly, it was hard to believe how much wildlife we saw in such a short time. We were out for almost nine hours each day and managed to see the Big Five. Some moments really stayed with us, especially watching two lionesses hunting, seeing a leopard resting in a tree with its prey below, and a mother cheetah with her four cubs. We also saw elephants, buffalo, giraffes, baboons, hippos, gazelles and many other animals along the way. Our guide Jeremy made the experience even better. He was knowledgeable, patient and always took the time to help us understand what we were seeing. We really enjoyed our time with Suricata Safaris and came away with some wonderful memories from Tanzania.

What an amazing experience- our driver Frank was the best so knowledgeable and getting us up close to all the amazing animals. I would advise booking with a group of people you know as whilst it’s great to meet new people, you might get stuck with a couple of Debbie downers!!

Brilliant 3-day loop through Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Jeremy was a star driver—got us right next to a resting lioness and led us to a fantastic spot packed with hippos cooling off in the river. Our main concern when booking a shared midrange safari was vehicle comfort and schedule management, but Suricata Safaris handled both very professionally. We were matched with four other travelers in a sturdy Land Cruiser. The pop-up roof offered plenty of space, so taking photos during sightings was never crowded. Jeremy was our navigator—he kept a steady pace on the gravel paths and knew the park entry protocols inside out, saving us a lot of time at the gates. ​The Serengeti segment was remarkable. After climbing Kilimanjaro and sleeping in a tent in the cold for six nights, I am really glad that I chooses a mid range safari experience. I was able to get much needed rest to recover at a lodge with comfy bed and hot water for shower. The safari experience itself is thrilling and overall it was a great value. My husband and I went on a three-day safari with Steve, visiting both the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. It was an unforgettable experience; Steve demonstrated the utmost professionalism, helpfulness, and kindness, striving to meet our every request while sharing a wealth of fascinating information. What we particularly appreciated was his integrity and deep respect for the animals. We were guests there, and he strictly followed the rules, never driving off-road; I feel it is important to mention that other drivers did go off-road, displaying an almost aggressive attitude toward the wildlife. Never ask a driver to go off-road—respect nature and respect the animals, just as Steve did!

We had an amazing three-day safari and were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five. Our guide, Melita, was excellent!! friendly, knowledgeable and always attentive. He explained everything clearly, drove extremely well and had an impressive knowledge of both the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. Both accommodations were excellent, especially the one in Seronera, which made the experience even more unforgettable. We were extremely happy with the entire safari and especially with Melita. His professionalism, experience and dedication played a major role in making everything run smoothly and turning this into such a memorable experience.

We had an amazing safari and would definitely recommend it! The game drives with Pasco were the highlight of the trip. The Serengeti campsite facilities were quite basic. The bathrooms were dirty and only had cold water. The Ngorongoro campsite was much better. Still simple, but much cleaner and with hot showers. The food exceeded our expectations. We were served generous, hearty meals throughout the trip, which were always very welcome after long days out on safari. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and came home with memories that will last a lifetime. If you're looking for an authentic safari with outstanding wildlife viewing and an excellent guide, this is a great choice! 😊

Going on this safari exceeded all my expectations! From the very first contact, the organization was incredibly attentive. Our guide, Melita, was extremely experienced and helped us spot a variety of animals, including the 'Big Five.' My three friends and I just wrapped up an incredible 3-day safari, and we are still buzzing from the experience. Every single day was a completely new adventure that took us to different parts of the safari with stunning, ever-changing landscapes. Moving to a new location each night gave us a wonderful taste of the region's diverse hospitality. We loved the unique vibe of each place we stayed, from the welcoming comfort of the Safari Homes in Arusha, to the unforgettable, immersive experience of the Bush Camp right inside the Serengeti, and finally the gorgeous, relaxing Bougainvillea Safari Lodge to unwind at the end of our journey. ​The wildlife viewing completely blew past our expectations. Not only did we successfully tick off the entire Big 5, but we also got to see an incredible number of lions throughout the trip. My only complaint about the entire experience was that our safari truck did not have A/C, which is something future travelers should keep in mind and dress accordingly for, as it can get quite warm during the drives. ​Despite the warm rides, the absolute highlight of our trip was our guide, Luther. He is truly the best in the business! Luther was remarkably patient, kind, and professional from start to finish. His deep knowledge was impressive, and he always knew exactly where to go to find the best sightings while ensuring we felt completely taken care of. When I return for my next safari, I am absolutely going to request Luther again. If you want a flawless, unforgettable adventure, look no further!

I am writing this review to warn future travelers about the severe lack of organization and accountability at Suricata Safaris. While the parks were magnificent, the "scam-like" pricing and communication I endured nearly ruined my trip. Pre-Trip Issues & Poor Communication My experience started with Grace, whose communication was consistently poor. She frequently dodged questions and would go silent for days. Jesca was also involved during the pre-trip phase and was an awesome help from the start. However, because Grace was the one receiving the commission for my sale, Jesca was unable to fully step in and manage my booking, leaving me stuck with Grace’s incompetence. The Arrival Nightmare & Predatory Pricing I arrived approximately at 1:40 AM on a Monday, expecting my 3-day Serengeti/Ngorongoro package to start that morning. Instead, I have learned from the drivers (two people came to pick me up at the airport) that my tour would start on Tuesday, the 7th, a result of Suricata (Grace) messed up my dates. When I contacted Grace, she refused to take responsibility and offered a "private tour" as the only fix. The pricing was a blatant scam. My group tour was $1,200 (inclusive of food, lodging, and safari). Grace quoted me $8,400 for a private tour. It was obvious she simply multiplied the $1,200 price by 7 (the capacity of a Jeep). By that logic, she expected me to pay for the food and hotel accommodations of six non-existent people just to fix a mistake she made. To be quoted this after 20 hours of travel felt like predatory exploitation. Internal Failure & Commission Issues A major issue at Suricata is their internal culture. Other staff members were initially hesitant to help me because they didn’t want to "interfere with Grace’s deal/commission." It was only after I kept escalating within the company that Jesca was finally able to step in and ignore the internal "territory" rules to actually help me. Grace eventually also stopped picking up calls entirely (that was what other staff has told me as I also didn't want to talk to Grace ever again after she quoted me $8400 to fix her mistake). In the end, I had to pay an additional $250 out of pocket just to get a private driver to help me "catch up" with the group tours I had already paid for. Accommodation Discrepancies The "bait and switch" continued with the lodging. My package explicitly stated I would stay at the SG Premium Resort. Instead, I was taken to a place called "Suricata Home" which did not feel like a legitimate hotel without any prior explanation (the accommodation place was not even listed on Google map). Final Feedback for Suricata Safaris If management is reading this: Your commission structure is broken. Giving the full reward to the person who happens to collect the deposit results in agents like Grace who ignore clients and provide poor services. I paid the deposit not because of Grace' sales tactic but because of the existing great reviews on Google and Trip Advisor. You should consider setting up rewards base on customers' feedback and experience. Advice to Travelers: If you book here, insist on working with Jesca. She is professional and solution-oriented. Disclaimer: I have saved every WhatsApp conversation from my interactions with everything I shared above. I am more than happy to provide these records as evidence to verify that all of the claims made in this review are 100% accurate.

Absolutely unforgettable experience of the three-day safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater national parks. It was my first safari, and I didn't really know what to expect, but it was truly amazing. The service and the organization provided by Saricata Safaris were top-notch, all the details were very well arranged, and went smoothly from the airport pick-up to warm lunches during the trip. Our guide Alias is super knowledgeable about animals and navigation in the parks, and his driving skills through the muddy roads are impressive. We saw some other cars struggling, but it was never the case for us. We have managed to see all the Big 5, most of them multiple times, and some with the babies which was super cute. Moreover, we saw zebras, giraffes, hienas, and various other animals and birds. Huge thanks to the Suricata Safaris team and special thanks to our guide!

My wife and I booked with Suricata Safaris for this trip and we were greeted and picked up by a transfer taxi from JRO Airport. The transfer was very smooth, we were accommodated for one night extra prior to starting the safari trip. The stay in Arusha was nice but the hotel was average. We were met with a team member the day before to ensure we had the itinerary and all the information and I thought this was a great attention to detail We were part of a group of 7 in total, our group were amazing and everyone was a pleasure to be around, there was a great sense of helping each other to enjoy the experience Once we were picked up by our guide, Damien, the fun began. We were full of excitement, Damien made sure to give us a great experience that was memorable and he consistently went above and beyond to make sure we got some amazing shots and moments. He listened to what we wanted as a group and accommodated and drove like a professional. His english was impeccable and his knowledge on the safaris and surroundings were evident from his speech and behaviours in making sure we would be in the right place at the right time. It was also obvious that he knew many other guides, which was such an important benefit for us, as he would get a call to let us know where to drive to next for the next big moment We managed to see all the Big Five and it was a trip of a lifetime, led by a great guide and curated by a great company. Our stays in the hotels were absolutely phenomenal also, including our stay in the Serengeti Bush Camp, and the jaw-dropping Suricata Boma Lodge

It was a great experience. So much attention to detail and everyone was so nice throughout. From being picked up at the airport by Jonny, to being briefed on our itinerary by Mr T, to being led by our great guide Luther; 10 out of 10. Luther was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely recommending this to anyone thinking of doing this.

It was an amazing trip, hard to find words for it. Mr Golden, our driver and guide was very professional, with him the tour was absolutely fantastic. I totally recommend this tour, but to be honest, next time I would choose 4 or 5 days safari with Suricata. The mid-range lodges are perfect, we chose it because of the private bathroom. In all lodges we got what we expected, or even more. We could just recommend it!!

An amazing safari experience with our guide Rocky that shared to us a lot of tips about savana and all animals we met. We met Lions, zebras, wild beasts, buffalo, elephants, iena, gazelles and hippos during our 3 days in different spots were amazing and so emotional. All accomodations were beautiful and all staff very professional.

Our guide Shabani did an excellent job spotting animals and bringing us within a respectful distance of them. We loved the accommodations, especially Tortilis Camp in Ngorongoro. We rented binoculars from the company, which were helpful and necessary. The briefing and debriefing person Daniel was also very friendly. All in all, a comfortable, fun, and animal-filled 3 days in the Serengeti-Ngorongoro area.

Siobahni was an extremely knowledgable and competent guide! He put in extra effort to make sure we prioritized seeing everyone's preferred animals. He also did a great job of balancing structure (ie keeping us on track schedule wise) and flexibility (leaving time for unexpected animals). Daniel also did a great job orienting us. Binoculars we rented through company also worked well. Worth having your own pair.

This was one of those experiences I'll remember for the rest of my life. My parents joined me in Tanzania for this incredible trip, and we couldn't have asked for a better company. Our tour manager, Daniel, was lovely and very clear, and our guide Alfonse was absolutely brilliant. He's a total pro with an incredible passion for animals. About the tour: WE SAW EVERYTHING. The Big 5 (elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, and even the elusive black rhino), plus zebras, giraffes, baboons, hippos, plenty of impalas and gazelles, cheetas, flamingos, pelicans... you name it. Our accomodations inside Serengeti and Ngorongoro were fantastic. I was impressed with the wifi, toilet, and showers. All very professional. And the food was also very good. 10/10 experience. Will recommend Suricata Safaris to everyone!

It's was very good. Rooms were very spacious, which has bathroom and shower attached. Stay in Ngorongoro Park - 10/10 Very clean luxury camps and food Staff - great service. Weather was cold they gave us warm bottles to keep our feet warm once we goto sleep . Nyssa Hot air Balloon Safari Tour: What an experience. Our tour operator arranged everything for us ( From Pickup to Drop off for our Balloon Safari experience. Our Pilot David - very professional and experienced guy. Kept us safe with his clear instructions. No complaints at all. .

Bucket list treat! First time in Africa. Kept expectations low, but they were blown away. Perfect time of year. The animals are moving. Did 3 night, 4 days in a group, lodging event. Our driver Gordon was our perfect host. Fantastick driving, excellent finding skills and knowlodge for absolutely beautiful animals. I travelled solo, but met great people from around the globe and felt very comfortable throughout. Highly, highly recommend.

I've just finished the 3 day mid range safari through Serengueti and Ngorongoro and had the most wonderful time. Everything went smooth and we were specially lucky with our guide Shabani, who was totally tireless spotting animals and a super experienced driver.
