We stayed at Arusha Safari Lodge for three nights, two at the beginning of our trip and one before heading to Zanzibar. Our stay was amazing. The staff were so kind, attentive, and really made us feel taken care of. The property itself is beautiful, with spacious rooms, a great pool, lovely gardens, and even rescue animals that you can hand-feed, which was such a fun bonus. The food and drinks were excellent every day. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area!
This is a fantastic place to stay, especially the first day or two in Arusha. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful, the rooms are very nice and clean, the bed was comfortable (the mattress was a bit firm, which I really enjoy). The food is good and we enjoyed the wine they serve. The service is outstanding. We were warmly welcomed and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Recently, they have begun to take in orphaned animals and raise them until they are about two years old. After the animals reach that age, they are can no longer be kept in captivity. They retain their instincts and must be returned to the wild. They had a giraffe, zebras, and gazelle-looking animals called eland (I think). We were able to hand feed the eland and zebra. The location of the lodge is not within walking distance of anything. Without a car or transportation, you are pretty much isolated. For us, it was great to have a relaxing two days after our long flight to recover from jet-lag before our safari. Cons: The water pressure for the shower was very low and it made bathing difficult. They charge $2 for each 1-liter bottle of water. You cannot drink the tap water, and the same bottled water at the grocery store costs ~$0.50 I think they should provide complementary bottled water during meals (bring your own).
The lodge is tucked outside town in a very organic and peaceful environment, It gives a country kind of vibe and also having wildlife in the lodge was a plus(Giraffes, Ellands, Zebras) that i managed to feed, the staff is very friendly and made my 4nights stay worth every minute
Very Nice lodge. The rooms are comfortable but not exceptionnal. The people are very very nice. They want to make everything that is possible so you have a wonderful time there. Thank you to the chef,Jon, for the very good food. it was delicious.
