Secret Trail - Natural Pools Of Búzios And Guardian Stone

Claudia was a great guide! The views you get on this trip you won’t get elsewhere in Buzios. Definitely wear hiking or cross training shoes. You’ll want the traction for the steep parts.

My wife and I loved this walk- made all the better as we had guide Nay looking after us. A lovely person who was knowledgeable, fun- and well connected to the local folks, who we also had the chance to engage with. It certainly made us feel we were not on a standard «  tourist trip ». We strongly recommend this activity - made better if you have Nay as your guide!

Not being able to understand the language was a huge handicap. The inclines out of downtown were steep without railings. Pricing was reasonable. Food was unseasoned. The area was crowded. The views were redeeming.

Our guide Necole was amazing. She definitely has a passion for what she does and took us to several amazing spots. She was very attentive in making sure we were stepping in the right areas when making our way down the slippery rocks and trails. Learning about the local nature made the experience more interesting than just a walk through the landscape. She took her time making sure we understood what she was explaining - her English is very good. We ended on a red sand beach that was stunning and took several pictures with us. Would highly recommend!

Nicole is AMAZING!!! She is a wealth of knowledge and makes your adventure FUN! Hiking, learning about so many plants and flowers, great photo Port, beautiful some excitement too!We spoke Portuguese, French and English —she was beyond accommodating and just absolutely wonderful. I hope to see her again!!

We booked this last minute and it ended up being one of our FAVORITE parts of our whole 16-day trip. Nicole was so genuine, knowledgeable and clearly loves what she does. We had an incredible morning! Far better than we’d expected!

…first off, brazil comes in this category of places to hear, see, smell, and feel, that just overwhelms all of these senses. Loan, our guide and his heartfelt excitement of once again seeing persons as excited as him about the trail, led us along an already given path through a family of cactus, several species too. It’s a good work out. Walking up inclined hills all the way up only to see the entirety of búzios, almost, but truly splendid. The ocean smashes against these boulders of rock that tells of a story of how earth is still evolving. And the power of all around you takes your attention from one thing to another. It’s a real place. If one has tears in his/her eyes during this one point then you know it’s a real place. Our guide even showed us this cove where the ocean sends in waves but gentler. Think here of a round clock. All is in this circle, but at the nine o’clock position there’s this opening into where the ocean waves come. This is memorable for always. Thank you.

Our guide was Nicole and her husband and they were absolutely wonderful. Tailored the trip to our and our kids’ ability level and helped us get a taxi back to the boat port. Nicole was also super informative about the environment and her English was terrific. The hike was vigorous but the views and interesting formations were worth it! Make sure to bring water and bug spray!

Better than we expected our tour guide Nicole was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very helpful. We visited some amazing rock formations and a Beach of Love (Praia d’ Amour) which was the perfect place to cool off with a swim. We seriously want to go back to Buzios!

This was a lovely walk, with the charming Loan, who spoke excellent English and is extremely knowledgeable about the local geology, flora and fauna. He made it really interesting, ending at a beautiful little beach for a refreshing swim. He even found us a loval chap who drove us back to our hotel! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

The communication before the hike was excellent. Unfortunately we overestimated our athletic ability and had to cut back a little, but our guide Loan was so patient and understanding. He taught us so much about the local nature and culture. He really made it a great experience. If we had more time I would have booked another hike. It was so nice to see such beautiful views in such a private peaceful setting.

This was a great walk with Loan our guide informing us lots about the flora and fauna of Buzios. We visited two rocky areas where we could walk down close to the sea. Barely saw anyone else during our tour and it was a great chance to get out into nature. Would highly recommend.

My favorite part of this experience was Nicole’s energy and humor. She has a genuine love and excitement for the park and her tours. She is also very funny! The park itself is mesmerizing and full of incredible views and geologic sights. Some of the uphill portions are a bit strenuous but she encourages you to move at your own pace. There is no rush at all so take your time if you need to catch your breath. She also provides hiking sticks. I’d never hiked with one until this tour and it is a game changer. Please do not hesitate to book this tour!

Nicole was a great guide. She was enthusiastic and wanted to make sure that the experience was exactly what we wanted so she gave us a couple different options.

This was a great guided tour. Our guide Nay was very patient with us as this was a little more strenuous than we anticipated. Nay was a wonderful guide and even gave us an option to continue back to our starting point or hike to a nearby beach where we could have lunch and drinks. We were able to call an Uber from the beach to go back to town. The views were amazing. I would recommend wearing tennis or hiking shoes as we were climbing up and down rocks, and bring water to drink. Nay had some water with her so she could refill our bottles when ours were empty.

This was an unexpected pleasure. If you are in Buzios, tear yourself away from the beach/pool and do this hike. Nicole was a wonderful guide and so informative about the geology and flora of the region. Showed us quartz, garnets and other amazing stones. The pools, views and secluded beaches were wonderful. Be aware that it is slightly strenuous and hot at times, although about half the walk is through the forest and shaded. Hiking shoes strongly recommended for hopping over rocks, but the views are worth it. A grand and informative 3 hours

This was such an amazing day!!!!!! Nay, our guide, was extremely sweet and her English was very good! She showed us around, you definitely would be lost without her haha. The hike was kind of hard, but definitely manageable and it was absolutely worth it because the views and natural pools where amazing. There were no other tourists besides us. The view was breathtaking and we saw a looooot of tortugas with made our day 🤩 took beautiful pictures and jumped of a stone into the water, it was so much fun. The tour ends at a wonderful beach where you could rent yourself snorkels to see the tortugas even closer or just relax at the beach. 100% worth it! :) Greetings to Nay from Athina & Alexa :)

The experience was very good and entertaining, wonderful views and a lot of wildlife as well. The guide (Nay) knew a lot about the place, both in terms of stories to tell and strategic points to enjoy and take photos. The only point perhaps to take into consideration is that it is not an easy trek; for example, we even had a small climb at one point. My partner and I didn't have a problem with this, but for consideration if you are looking for a light walk, it is not easy!

The route is quiet and the landscape is beautiful! The guide Nicole is very careful and contributed a lot with information about the fauna, flora and history of the region. It was a wonderful experience!

Nay is an excellent guide and the tour was wonderful! The track has moderate difficulty with a very nice look.

My husband and I chose the group walking option for the Natural Pools, but since we went on a Tuesday, there were only the two of us on the walk. We went with the guide Nay which was wonderful. It was extremely punctual for the walk, took sticks for the walk as we had requested and told a lot about the history of the whole place and of Búzios. Very friendly! Our first stop was in rocky formations overlooking the sea, then we went to the Natural Pools (it is worth noting that you need a good mobility to get to the place, since we went down a lot of stones and on the way back, we went up everything again). We swim in the natural pool without rush, and the water is transparent. It's amazing the place. Since we were without a car, we chose the turn to end at a different point than we started. We passed by Praia dos Amores, where the turtles are very close to the sand, and we ended up at Praia da Ferradurinha, one of the most beautiful in my opinion.

The trail is very delicious and beautiful! The guide Alex from Cactus is wonderful. Don't miss this opportunity! Going to Búzios without this trail is a waste. The guide Alex provides all the guidance, is careful with the customers on the way, makes beautiful photos, left us super at ease, in addition to being a grace of Cover! The whole walk is fantastic, the guide is excellent but the peak of the walk are the natural pools.

It is a pretty nice experience, but very expensive compared to other activities in the region that have higher operating costs

We love the walk! Our guide was dear, responsible and super acquainted with Búzios. The only truly green Enterprise in the city. They have even insurance for the ride. Very serious, but fun!!

Our second track with excellent guide Nicole. We went to Mangue De Pedras, Ponta do Pai Vitório and the natural pools. The guide passed us super detailed and interesting information. Super pleasant experience and made without rush. Expectations exceeded!

I have been to Búzios other times and had never heard of this trail. I loved seeing this place! Beautiful landscapes! Super worth taking the walk.

The first stop of the trail, at the Guardião Stone, is amazing because of the geological formations and the view of the sea, which gives beautiful photos. The descent to the natural pools is steep and, with cutting rocks and no security, and even though I had asked the agency before about the tide board, when I got there, I only encountered a green well of stalled water... there was no natural pool. We asked, then, to continue to Praia da Ferradurinha, instead of returning to Praia da Ferradura, since the trail we had passed was abandoned, with high naval grass, spiders, and even a snake. The guide agreed and said it would be easy. covered with grass (which was not warned by the guide, who found the fact common...)Already on the road of land, I tore my foot hard, because in the middle there was a crack en. In front we encountered a wall of stones and clay, and the guide said that there was only that way to get to Praia da Ferradurinha. I with a wounded foot, cut knee, had to climb a wall hanging by a rope... already without strength, the guide took my arm and gave a pull that gave another injury. After all, it may have been a lack of luck...but I recommend the adventure for those who are already a professional triller and have already taken their antitetan vaccine.
