Vila D'este Hotel

An amazing property that is in one of the best locations in Buzios. The interior design is fabulous and the bathroom (oceon view room) we had was a stand out. All the communal areas are beautiful.

We had an incredible and memorable stay at Vila d’Este in Búzios. The front desk team went above and beyond to make sure every aspect of our stay was perfect. (A special mention goes to one of the gentlemen at reception who was relatively new to the team. Despite having only been there a short time, he was genuinely invested in our happiness and always took the time to ensure we were enjoying our stay.) The breakfast each morning was outstanding, with a fantastic selection and beautiful presentation. We were always greeted warmly by Lía, Rafaella and Mariano, who provided attentive service every day and even remembered our preferred coffee,a small touch that made us feel truly welcome. The hotel itself is stunning. The design perfectly captures the charm and elegance of Búzios, with beautiful architecture, tasteful décor and inviting spaces throughout the property. Another highlight for us was the incredible view from our room. Waking up each morning to such a breathtaking outlook was unforgettable and made our stay feel truly special. Thank you to the entire Vila d’Este team for creating such a memorable experience. We cannot wait to return.

Vila d’este is the definition of understated luxury. This is not the kind of place that tries too hard to impress you. Instead, it wins you over with atmosphere, authenticity and an exceptional level of care. The hotel feels intimate, peaceful and incredibly charming. Every corner has personality, every detail feels intentional and the overall experience is refined in a very effortless way. What we will remember most, however, is the hospitality. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome from beginning to end. Not with rehearsed luxury service, but with sincere attention, kindness and emotional intelligence. There’s a rare warmth here that transforms a beautiful stay into a meaningful experience. We left feeling rested, inspired and already thinking about when we can come back.

Overall nice hotel but frequent power trips, no cooling/AC in the lobby. Not allowed to sit in (cooler) restaurant when waiting for taxi to airport. Advised ceiling fans in lobby don't work. Also, charging for 2 x coffeepods when most hotels provide it for free isn't ideal!
