PERFECTION. There is something quite special about Pedra de Laguna. Impeccable service, extremely clean and well maintained rooms, elegant natural surroundings, and the onsite restaurant served delicious and freshly prepared meals. We spent a week here with our 4.5 yo son. This is that special place that you’re looking for. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing stay! The hotel was clean and beautiful, with a very attentive and welcoming staff. Flavio, the manager, is outstanding and will help you with anything you need. The buffet breakfast was excellent, offering eggs, cheeses, pastries, fresh fruits, and juices. Since we attended a business event, we also enjoyed the buffet lunch — it felt like dining in a high-end restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. The bar service was fantastic (and those caipirinhas in the evening — wow!). The location is perfect: just a 5-minute walk to Ferradura Beach and about 15 minutes to Praia da Foca, with gorgeous views along the way. I will definitely be back!
We were warmly greeted on arrival and found the staff to be consistently lovely and attentive throughout our stay. A complementary cocktail by the beautiful pool was a nice touch! Our room felt very small, with a second bed added in that we didn’t need. The staff kindly removed it, which gave us a little more space, but the rooms overall could use some maintenance. The grounds themselves are absolutely beautiful, but the atmosphere was unusual. For much of our stay it felt like we were the only guests - we only saw a couple of others at breakfast later on in our stay. This left the large dining room very quiet and without energy, which felt a little uncomfortable. That said, breakfast itself was very good. Since the buffet wasn’t set up, a selection was served directly at our table each morning, which was nicely presented. Hot water in the shower took 5-10 minutes to come through every time, and we were told it was because the rooms hadn’t been used in a while. Once hot, we timed our showers back-to-back to make it work. Water pressure was very light, and the toilet sometimes took several attempts to flush. Wi-Fi was another frustration. It was very poor in our room - slow, constantly dropping out, and often forcing our phones onto mobile data (we received a usage warning from our carrier). Wi-Fi works fine in reception, the breakfast area, and in hallways near routers, but we had to keep our phones on airplane mode and stand outside the room for consistent access and to ensure not switching to personal data. We asked if a better room was available, but were told all rooms in our area would have the same issues - strange, given how empty the resort felt. We also skipped using the bar, etc in the evenings since there was no ambience or other guests to mingle with. Access is another point to note: the road in is quite rough with lots of potholes, which - along with wifi/water issues and low guest numbers - makes it feel a little off-grid. That said, it’s only a short Uber ride to town, and we had no trouble getting in and out. The town itself was bustling with tourists, which made the emptiness of the resort all the more surprising. Perhaps its slightly out-of-the-way location contributes to this, but it was still October, which is not typically low season. Overall: A beautiful property with kind staff and lovely breakfast, but our stay was let down by hot water and Wi-Fi issues, dated rooms, and a lack of atmosphere due to the resort being almost empty. If you’re after quiet seclusion and don’t mind some inconveniences, this might appeal - but if you prefer comfort, energy, and reliability, you may want to look closer to town.
July 2025 This hotel is sooooo beautiful 5***** on the outside areas , its gorgeous, i felt like i was living in the Roman times, i could just imagined ❤️ sooooo beautiful 🌺 Our room was ok & I say this, only because the bathroom could use a little renovation, the shower has mold growing from the bottom sides. I hate seeing & smelling mold ! The room has a moldy stentch! The reception staff were very nice, friendly & courteous 🌺 The servers during breakfast 🥞 they were so kind & attentive, very humble young men, remember specifically the server with curly hair, so kind 🙏 God bless him 🌺 We were greeted with Caramel Candy in the room & we absolutely loved it 😋 soooo yummyyyyy😋
3 days relaxing here at the end of our 16 days in Argentina and Brazil was most welcome. The staff here are so pleasant and helpful, from Andre at check-in to The guys at the restaurants and the pool bar. Food and drinks were of a good standard and reasonably priced. The grounds were very well maintained. Having higher sun loungers at the Tangiers pool was a plus as I have difficulty getting up from lower beds - a few of the higher beds near the pool bar. A word of advice if you have difficulty with stairs ask for a ground floor room as I needed to on arrival and was facilitated by Andre with no fuss - much appreciated.
