The hotel's design blends Brazilian culture and modernism. Each room has a unique theme, ranging from Brazilian fashion to national history. A reception hall offers 24-hour check-in/out service and a safe. The hotel has a total of 200 rooms. The cafe, bar, and restaurant provide the perfect environment to enjoy a drink or delicious meal. The rooms, decorated by the French owner, Mrs. Emmanuelle Meeus de Clermont-Tonnerre, reflect her passion for Brazil. Disappointed in my stay here. Upon check in our room was enveloped by the smell of tar coming from construction. Hotel staff said they did not notice until we said something. It was extremely obvious and not inhabitable. We got a new room but it was a downgrade. No outdoor pool/ tub like we paid for. Additionally I was charged 400.00 for an incidental hold and had to get it refunded as someone messed up and charged me instead of putting it as a temp hold. Thirdly upon check out I had a 10% “tax” on my bill. Later explained as an optional tip. Felt very deceiving considering all of the other mistakes. I would not stay here again. One extra star added for breakfast otherwise not good.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and everything was impeccable. From dreamy rooms to fantastic service, I’d highly recommend this to everyone. 10/10
Absolutely no value for money. The whole hotel feels used and damaged in many places, both in the rooms but also on the outside, it needs a huge refurbishment. 10% extra payment as obligatory tips (not announced during booking) is just a joke. This hotel costs the price of 5+ stars but delivers a service hardly equal to 3 stars. Also the charming view of the small bay from the hotel balcony is destroyed by colourful stupid turistic boats docking in the middle of the bay (swans, lochnesses or unicorns)🤦♂️ And Buzios changed a lot - Buzios these days is a dirty place serving as a tourist trap where everyone just wants to empty your pockets. Frankly, never again.
It was simply perfect. The hotel is beautifully located and offers an amazing view onto a little bay, seamlessly integrated into the beautiful nature Búzios has to offer. We loved the modern but authentic design, the amenities, the pool, the gym. But the things that really made our stay special was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff, as well as the incredible gastronomy. After a week in this paradise it’s hard to get back to normal life.
