Very nice tour guide. Fun idea and good food but it does take you through some of the worst neighborhoods . There was a lot of homeless and people doing drugs on most of our route. I wish we could have seen other parts of the town to get a taco.
Best day in Tucson! Some history, murals, and authentic tacos handmade by local families. Loved every minute!
A lovely way to spend the afternoon! The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The bike ride was fun and challenging but not too strenuous. The tacos and Sonoran hot dog were delicious. I went with my teen son and we both had a great time!
We chose this bike tour to do with our 40 year old daughter who is visiting. Lorraine is an experienced bicyclist and a knowledgeable Tucsonian and we learned a lot about our city as well as eating a delicious assortment of Taco’s along with a Sonoran hot dog. Come hungry!
Was super fun. The ride was easy Will do again The tacos and Mexican hotdog was great. I would definetly suggest this tour. Good history on the area, cool sights.
The bikes are easy to use (no gears and sturdy) and the activity was about 2 hours and 15 minutes on mostly flat roads in quiet neighborhoods.
Lorraine was an awesome guide! She safely navigated our group through some tough traffic areas, brought us to some fantastic taco and hotdog places, was very personable and knows Tuscon very well. The areas she took us to were beautiful! Would highly recommend!!
This was a fun trip. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was great. A great way to get to know Tucson's history.
You will be biking from location to location. Mostly flat. Great food and our tour guide was very informative.
Lorraine was a knowledgeable tour guide and the bike tour was so fun and delicious. The route was remarkably flat and the tacos were all amazing!
So much fun and excellent food! We had the best time together! Would recommend to anyone visiting Tucson.
So fun! A great way to see downtown Tucson and have dinner at various authentic family owned restaurants.
This tour is amazing! Be sure to skip lunch and go super hungry. You get to try out three different taco places and will learn a little history along the way too. Bike ride is relatively easy (about 8 miles) and the bikes are nice comfortable cruisers. Taco stops are no frills type establishments but those places always have the most authentic food. That’s exactly what I’d want! Highly recommended this tour.
Learning about the neighborhoods and the interesting murals throughout the town. The cool idea of keeping the old signs on buildings was also worth while. Food was amazing and so happy that it was from local establishments prepared with lots of flavor. Bikes were easy to ride
The tour took us through a lot of fairly heavy traffic. The taco venders were dumpy little places and the tacos were not good. The hot dog place was closed. Would not recommend. The guide was good but didn’t seem to have much to work with.
The taco's and being in the community.Being in the outdoors and hearing some of the history of Tucson
Great tacos and tour guide knows his tacos! Be warned this is not a leisurely ride you have to be able to keep up.
The best way to get to know any place is to experience the local food scene. Jim manages to bring you to local places you’d never find on your way all while giving you a chance to ride around various barrios of the city. Great way to “meet” Tucson.
We had a terrific time on the taco bike tour and would say it was a highlight of our trip! The food was amazing and we really enjoyed cycling around the area. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable trustworthy!
The taco bike tour is well worth it! The tour guide was very efficient, planned ahead and friendly. We would not have gone to these taco restaurants otherwise and they were all amazing! The Sonoran hot dog was also delicious! The bike ride was also a good workout of about 9 miles.
The tacos are great and no better way to eat them than along a bike ride! Well, you'll stop and eat them and then ride to the next stop. Great idea! Fun time!
Guide keeps it safe, fun, and delicious! What more could you ask for… second stomach? Bikes are simple to operate, guide is well prepared for contingencies. Learn about Tucson and eat delicious tacos while you are at it!
Beautiful day, fun ride, great food and an awesome guide. We wouldn't have ventured into this part of Tucson had we not done this Taco bike tour as it's not near any of the 'listed' tourist sites. The food was amazing and we were stuffed! Felt good to ride after each stop. Good history about the area along the way and a taste of the loop bike route as well during the 10 mile ride. Bikes were in great condition. Would highly recommend.
Eating a variety of different tacos and a sonaran hot dog was a good experience. While biking received historical information about the neighborhoods in south Tucson. Guide was knowledgeable in providing information about the food at each restaurant.
Jim had the bikes ready with water and a helmet. We saw very old and cool houses. All the taco stops were excellent and the Sonoran dog was yum!
Loved traveling through streets of Tucson enjoying tacos. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, humorous, very helpful in guiding us. He was just plain awesome!!
My family (5) had such an awesome time yesterday afternoon on our taco bike tour! All of the stops were worthwhile and delicious, and the biking was so peaceful and enjoyable for all of us! We loved the trip, from the stops to the beautiful, 5-mile stretch following the stops that takes you through a beautiful and fun path around the city. Make sure you save room before this experience, because you’re gonna want to try it all!
So much fun.... and so much food! Rob was a wonderful guide. We loved being introduced to dining experiences and locations that we would have never found on our own.
We had a great time with Big Jim on the taco tour. He was knowledgeable, funny and has a very interesting life story. And the tacos - muy bien! We had our 11 and 13 yr old kids with us and they kept up easily and loved the experience. Thanks Big Jim for a fun and tasty ride!
My wife and I are fairly new Tucson residents and wanted to explore it a little more for our anniversary and this was a great experience. Rob was our guide that day and overall it was great. We had awesome food (from 4 different restaurants) and were able to learn a lot of little things about our new home that we really enjoyed. Would definitely recommend.
Rob was areally great guide and it was a nice tour. The tacos were local and delicious. Highly recommend.
A word of warning: Don't plan to eat very much (if anything) the rest of the day. The food on the tour was great; very well-flavored with a variety of approaches to preparing tacos. Rob chose the stops very well with one eye on safety and the other on providing a terrific experience of Tucson food stops that the average tourist might not find. It was an easy, safe ride with lots of great scenery and wonderful food.
Great afternoon biking and tasting local tacos! Great stops while enjoying a safe ride around south Tuscon. Would defiantly recommend this tour!
This was a great afternoon biking around south Tucson! Rob was a great guy! He was very informative and made sure everyone in the tour was safe. We enjoyed all the Mexican cuisine at each place we stop. I don’t have a favorite place they were all excellent!
It was so much fun…I didn’t take pictures! I loved biking around neighborhoods of Tucson with our absolutely delightful, English-born, Tucson-loving tour provider. The tacos were almost as awesome as he was ;)
Alone in Tucson and want to have a wonderful guide? This tour around southern Tucson and the taco shops "you want to eat at but can't find by yourself" is a huge hit. Rob makes the tour fun and safe too. The no gear bikes are easy to ride on the flat terrain. And the tacos (and Sonoran hotdog) had my eyes rolling back in my head they were so delicious. My favorite was the first stop but you be the judge when you go. 3 pm in mid February was the perfect temperature to ride 10 miles.
Rob is a great host/guide. Was very focused on a safe tour while also having fun. The taco shops were all great. These were spots we would have never hit on our own, so it was great to be able to do them - and riding it on a bike is a bonus.
We had a great time on the taco bike tour. Great way to get some exercise, see south Tucson and eat good food!
Great tour, bikes are fitted to your height prior to arrival with a saddle bag for personal items. The tacos are delicious. Huge bonus in our opinion is you don’t have to order Rob does everything thing for you so you can sit back and enjoy at each stop. Our group of 4 riders got lots of Tuscan history & tidbits of information along the way. The colorful barrio buildings and Santa Cruz Church are the 2 points of interest we enjoyed. Rob was a fun entertaining guide with attention to safety.
Great, laidback ride with delicious tacos. Rob was an engaging, knowledgeable and fun guide. Would definitely recommend. This tour is about the tacos (not so much for the sights). We traveled on some heavily-trafficked roads, but Rob was super concerned about safety and was very communicative about the route and traffic patterns whenever we got to a busy section.
Great fun, great food. Perfect thing to do on a nice day. Nice little workout too. Rob was a great guide through Tucson
Taco Wednesday Barb and I enjoyed the tour. Informative and tasty too. The food choices were excellent. No worries on the biking portion of the tour. Will recommend to other Minnesoootans.
The tour was fun, educational (the tour leader is very knowledgeable about Tucson), and the tacos were excellent. We stopped at 4 taquerias in South Tucson, each with their own specialty. We would never have found these on our own, nor would we have known what to order. You can safely put your trust in this tour operator and enjoy a delicious ride.
Jimmy was very knowledgeable about Tucson. Food was delicious!! I would take this tour again but I think I am going to go in one of the other ones next time I visit.
We were in Tucson for Thanksgiving. What better way to spend the day after Thanksgiving than riding bikes and eating tacos! Everyone in the group thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We even sent several family members who didn't get to do the tour on their own to the taco places to partake in some taco tasting!
Fun tour. Went to places we wouldn’t have ventured to on our own. Loved the Sonoran hot dog and the return on the loop as the sun was setting.
The bike tour had it all. Jimmy is engaging and funny! And he knows a lot about the area. No dull moments. My family is from Sonora Mexico. I can say that the food you taste on this tour is exactly what you will have in Mexico down to the details which is difficult to find if you do not know where to go. You will see also see old neighborhoods in Tucson that still have that special charm of Mexico. The last part of the tour you will get to ride the Tucson loop which is unique and fun. If you are looking to do something different in which you get to bike, eat, site see and laugh you cannot go wrong with this tour. I would recommend this to Tucson locals as well!
We were in town for a wedding and looking for an authentic Tucson experience. The taco bike tour did not disappoint! Jimmy was an incredible tour guide and the range of traditional Sonoran tacos and that hot dog were so good! We would highly recommend!
We had the evening ride and even though it was dark there was plenty of light and we felt safe. We stopped at four different food stands and had a great variety with some great flavors. The final leg of the ride was on the bike path around Tucson that was relatively flat an the bike lights were plenty.
